All language subtitles for 7. OSINT Business

We'll look at an ocean investigation for businesses.

Now you may have a business as a target, whether you're doing investigation on a background check before

you work with this company.

Maybe there's something suspicious or shady about this company or whatnot.

This is some general steps for this investigation in terms of a business.

So the initial thing I'm going to do is going to do initial initiated a Google search for the company.

I'm going to run through a basic Google search and sort of use some of the advanced search operators.

See what comes back on that company.

I'm going to search the company's website.

Once I'm on the site, I'm going to take a look at their form.

Server forms what phone numbers employees take a look at their directories, email addresses and whatnot.

Start collecting as much information from that website.

I might, depending on the the scope of the investigation, I may even do a political donation checks

or checking the political sites on some of the links that were provided in this course and see if that

company did any donations for those particular organizations.

Another thing I might do is I might do a Google map view of the company that's going to be a street

view or a satellite view, and when I'm looking here, it's I'm taking a look at the physical company.

Take a look at their address.

See, is it their own building as a part of a larger building?

What type of security is there and what not, you know, particular cars they're going to?

Is there anything interesting I could?

They could find that's going to be useful for my investigation.

I'm going to spider the Web site, so I'm going to use some like spider for the spider, the web site,

see what it collects that wasn't able to collect just from a cursory search on the site documents email

addresses again runner who is on the site.

Find out who the site was registered under.

See if I could find more information there.

And do a further analysis on it.

I might even track the Web site, make a copy of it for offline use, and so I can start searching more.

Another thing I might do is a glass door search.

So put the company in class to work.

Take a look at what the employees are saying.

Generally, employees will give you a better insight into the company that you won't get on your own.

Next.

So any emails I come across names, phone numbers, whatnot on the company's site or from a spider,

spider foot or glass door search, run those employees through Daesh and see what comes up just once

we have those sites and whatnot that they're going to.

You can start following those employees and potentially get more information.

Because generally might either be in the company, you're doing this advanced investigation or insert

employees or both.

So it just helps create a larger picture for.

Next, Better Business Bureau, I'm going to run a better business bureau search on the companies,

see if they're registered with the Better Business Bureau.

Are there any complaints?

What are those complaints?

Run them through the scam tracker.

Maybe there's more information about scams would relate to.

That company went to a state business search and pull up the state site.

It put the company name in there.

Generally, you're going to get information on the company from the state point of view.

Who, who the president is, who?

The vice president, what not their business license number.

When did it get signed?

How long is a valid for and what not?

There's potentially a lot of great information there.

Some of the investigations I did run on companies.

I did find information about employees that weren't even listed on the website that were major parts

of that company.

And finally, once once I collect all the information from those avenues, I'm going to start analyzing

the data.

If I have photos stored analyzing in the media media, take a look at the metadata, phone numbers and

start collecting all the information for a report.

And this was a basic investigation for businesses.
