In this lesson, we're going to talk about Pinteresque marketing.

So if you're looking to drive external traffic that is ready to buy, then Pinterest is the place to

go.

Pinterest shoppers are around 80 percent female who are browsing for ideas to shop.

They have a disposable income to spend, which is the ideal audience.

The platform also drives an insane amount of traffic.

You can use Pinterest to promote your merch products simply by creating a PIN link into your products

page.

You can also earn extra money by using an Amazon Associates link of your product to link to the PIN.

So instead of putting the original Amazon product link in your PIN, you're going to generate an Amazon

Associates link and replace the original Amazon product link with the newly generated Amazon Associates

Link.

This will allow you to earn commission on every product that is bought through your Amazon Associates

link.

It doesn't have to be a much product.

They buy literally anything that you can get a commission for, and that is a fantastic way to supplement

your revenue.

I'll talk a bit more about Amazon associates in a later lesson.

Now, if you want to stand out from the rest, instead of using a picture from Amazon, put your design

on a mockup instead.

Look much better and you'll differentiate yourself from the competition this way.

For me, Pinterest is hands down my favorite way to promote most products, and I believe that that

demographic is perfect for making sales.

Now, let's talk about setting up Pinterest.

Obviously, the first thing you need to do to start markets in your search on Pinterest is setting up

a Pinterest account in the first place.

I will not show you how to do in this lesson because it's a very simple thing to do.

And frankly, it's beyond the scope of discourse.

Now, listen very carefully to this.

It's very important you will have the option to register as a personal account or business account.

I would highly suggest you register as a personal account with the female name as you'll get the most

engagement this way, gaining more followers, more clicks and hopefully more sales.

During the registration process, you'll be asked to get the Pinterest browser button, so make sure

you download it.

This will help you grab any photo from the Internet along with its link and help you paint it to any

of your Pinterest boards.

So essentially, Pinterest consists of pins which are pictures or videos with links where if someone

clicks on them, they are redirected to the link the PIN points to.

And these prints are grouped into PIN boards that have a common theme.

And for the purpose of using Pinterest for prints on demand products, we can create different boards

for different niches and for different products.

We can put pins that relate to those niches in their respective boards and we can start getting some

engagement in those boards and we can start adding pins that contain our products to them.

Your entire goal is to drive traffic to your board.

So we have to build an interesting persona for people to come check out our boards.

We're going to do this simply by adding interesting content to our boards and you can simply add images

as pins using the extension you've just downloaded.

You can get images from Google Images or save other related Penneshaw boards.

For this marketing strategy to work, you really need to look like a genuine person who has many interests

and hobbies.

So create around 30 boards and fill them with related points, around 50 points per board.

This may seem like hard work, but trust me, no one will buy your products if you're just spamming

them to Pinterest.

You need to look like a genuine user who provides value.

Now get ready to get traffic and sales.

So how do you gain followers?

Your goal is to gain followers to that.

Your pins get shown to followers on their feet.

As you start gaining followers and start gaining their trust, you can start pinning your products here

and there.

Now your products will start appearing in your followers feed.

And if they're like a particular product, they can check it out and hopefully purchase it.

They can even rippin.

It's one of their boards which will drive more traffic to your board and help you gain more followers.

One of the best strategies for growing your following on Pinterest is join in group boards.

This is a pretty advanced method that not many people know about.

With this strategy, you can post to boards that multiple people can post to in your niche.

Some of the popular boards are absolutely huge and if you manage to get a pin up one of them, your

products will have the chance to be seen by a lot of eyeballs who may purchase your product, not to

mention new followers.

And repaints of your original point.

The main thing to focus on is building your account to gain followers.

This will help you massively in terms of being accepted to this popular group.

As your account starts growing.

Some people who are on group boards will actually start contacting you to post in their group boards.

If you get contacted, check if the board you've been invited to is in your niche and if they have a

good following and go from there.

A more proactive method is you go ahead and contact the person who runs the group that you're interested

then and request an invite.

This is where you need to have a good following yourself, otherwise you're likely to be ignored.

So I'd suggest you build your account up before you go down this route.

There are different effective strategies that you can follow, including Pinterest, advertising and

so on.

But since this is beyond the scope of this course, what I've shown you is good enough as a starting

point.
