In this lesson, we're going to discuss rejections and takedowns and what to do if you get them.

As I mentioned before, if you want to play the long game insert by Amazon, your priority should be

to keep your account in good standing by, avoiding rejections and takedowns as much as possible.

Sometimes you can get caught out if you make a spelling mistake or miss a trademarks or copyrighted

keyword.

This is normal and Amazon expects this.

But what will get you terminated is if you start gaming the system and get too many rejections and take

downs, especially in the leotis.

It's a fact that Amazon is much more strict on notice than it is because they have developed that trust

factor, which leads us to believe that they have a percentage of rejections and takedowns versus your

designs uploaded or sold.

We're never going to know because Amazon doesn't disclose this.

If you're in the low tiers, you can get two or three rejections or take downs and you might get terminated,

whereas a thousand you might get 100 rejections and not get terminated.

So it's all relative.

We've also noticed that Amazon terminates an accounts depending on how serious the rejection or the

takedown is.

So if you do it in a design that is a blatant copyright infringement and it's clear as day that you're

trying to profit off a huge brand, then you might get terminated straight without any warning.

Equally, if during a manual review it transpires that it was a genuine mistake on your part, then

Amazon might give you the benefit of the doubt.

Amazon have confirmed that they don't go out looking for a to terminate the offer.

They will give you a chance if they feel you need it.

And if it's clear that you're gaming the system, they won't have any mercy on you.

So make sure that you play by the book to avoid rejections and takedowns.

Make sure you follow Amazon's content policy and you'll be just fine.

You can get rejections for trademarks, keywords, disallowed designs on the youth size or banned keywords

that Amazon deems as misleading, like glow in the dark or glitter.

Or if you mentioned Prime Shippen or Made in the USA or good quality, etc..

Just make sure that you understand the content policy to avoid making simple but costly mistakes.

You can get a takedown if a design suddenly becomes trademarked and the trademark owner reports your

designs to Amazon.

So make sure you're always in the loop when it comes to new trademarks that might affect you.

You can use the merchant former trademark module to monitor your designs for new trademarks.

They update the data every day so you get alerted.

If you have a design that just became trademarks, then you can go ahead and take it down yourself before

Amazon receives the report and takes it down, which would then give you a strike on your account.

You can also get a takedown if your design goes through.

When you upload it initially, then Amazon might make certain keywords.

Band, which you may have in your list in your listing, will then be flagged for a takedown.

This can happen if you get into questionable designs, especially to do with a tragedy or if you put

a hyphen between the letters of a two part keywords.

Again, the system.

Then Amazon updates its detection robot with this variation.

And this only works if you make a genuine mistake.

Emailed Amazon and investigates why you got the rejection in the first place.

You'll generally get a standard email to ask them to escalate their investigation team to find out why

exactly you got that rejection.

Sometimes it's clear and sometimes it's not.

But you want to find out which keyword triggered the rejection, etc..

If it's a mistake of yours, then apologize to Amazon and make sure you won't repeat that mistake again.

If it's an error on Amazon's part, then, like I said, highlight it and seek a solution.

The most important thing is you should never game the system and do your best to continue playing by

the rules.

And that's how you keep your account safe because it's your most important asset.
