of his communist persecutors,

took up a position

in the then British
protectorate of Kuwait.

Here, he devoted himself

to the welfare of the
primitive arab tribesmen

who roam the desert.

Over the years, his
contributions in medicine

and in science,

to these backward and
disease-ridden people

were so great that
he was knighted

by the crown for
his achievements.

Despite the eminence
of his position,

practicing, not in Mayfair,

but in a national service clinic
among disadvantaged citizens.

of medical practice in jadwiga
