and that was kind of the last puzzle piece.

Doug, do you think the hot water tank's gonna fit?

Doesn't look anything like a garage.

You know, it's a cabin now.

What color you're going with?

Blue.

Give the exact lake house feel that Michelle was looking for.

- Not a garage anymore. - [laughter]

- Nope. - Well, what do you think?

I think it's gorgeous. It is beautiful.

We are headed to meet Pete and Michelle.

They recently bought this camp three months ago.

So they really don't know winters are like, so this is...

[Ryan and Ashley laughing]

definitely an eye opening for them.

- Welcome to Maine. - Welcome to Maine.

[Ashley] You didn't want to give us the winter off this year?

- [Chase] No winters off. - Ah, look at that tree.

[Ashley] Look at all these downed trees.

- [Ryan] Wow. - That's the nest.

[Chase] Today we are on Flying Pond in Mount Vernon, Maine.

And we recently had a major wind snowstorm come through.

Trees have fallen all across Central Maine,

making our arrival a little bit more dicey.

- [Ryan] Oh, there's trees everywhere. - [Ashley] Everywhere.

- [Ryan] Tree down. - [Ashley] Tree down.

- [Chase] Oh, look, logs blocking the way. - Oh!

We'll go right under it.

[Ashley] Oh, boy.

Good thing we brought the jeep.

- Hello, guys. - [Ashley] Hi.

I'm Pete Henry. This is my wife, Michelle.

We're at our brand new camp.

We've had it for about three months.

[Michelle] We've had some history with

just having family vacations

on the water where his parents owned a house.

[Pete] We had the legacy in Maine

on the coast with our family.

We like to say this is our legacy

and I like to call it our lake-acy.

- I guess that storm was pretty bad, right? - Yeah.

- Whoo. - Could have been a lot worse, though.

So tell us about the camp.

You haven't owned it for very long,

but what do you know about the history of it?

- [Pete] The cabin's about 30 years old. - [Chase] Oh, okay.

[Pete] The camp itself was owned

by the previous owners for about 60 years.

And there's a couple of outbuildings up toward the front,

a lanai, screened in lanai near the water.

The bunkhouse, a little further back.

So did this replace a cabin that was here before?

I think the cabin, the out-cabins that were there now,

- this replaced those cabins because those were very old. - Oh, gotcha.

[Chase] What are you looking to have done overall?

So right now we've got a garage on the bottom,

right, where they stored a lot of stuff.

On the top is about a 400-square-foot living space,

where you've got one bedroom, one bath, kitchen, and living room.

What we want to do is expand that space

and bring more living space down into the garage,

kitchen downstairs, and a full bath.

Just turn a 400-square-foot living space

into a 1,000-square-foot living space.

[Ashley] Are we doing anything to the exterior?

[Michelle] Yes.

We would like to kind of take the camp

and make it feel a little more consistent,

the outbuildings and the house.

So if that meant doing some exterior work, absolutely.

How much are you looking to spend on this project?

About $60,000.

Because it's wintertime, things won't move as quickly,

I think 16 weeks would probably be a good timeframe.

$60,000 sounds reasonable as far as completing everything you want.

I think we just need a set of keys.

I don't know where to begin.

[Chase] Peter and Michelle have $60,000

to spend on the camp on the outside.

We are going to put in new windows

and doors on the waterside.

Get rid of the two garage doors and re-side the entire cabin.

It's an efficiency apartment above the garage.

- [Ryan] Yeah. - [Chase] Sitting on a beautiful piece of property.

It's not what you normally see on a lake.

[Ryan] This piece of property is way too nice for that building.

- [Chase and Ashley] Yes. - Right, as it says.

Absolutely.

On the inside of Henry camp,

our plan is to move the stairways inside

to connect the first floor and second floor,

two bedrooms on the second floor,

and a new main bedroom, and a new main bathroom,

with kitchen and living area on the first floor.

You know, you've seen downstairs, you've seen upstairs,

it don't scream lake house.

This isn't really what sold the camp owners on the property.

The bunkhouse down front is really,

you know, kind of what they,

what the inspiration should be.

So we're not touching it, we're just going for inspiration?

- [Chase] Yes. - [Ashley] Okay.

- [Ryan] Oh, this is cool. - [Ashley] This is pretty.

That's the main cabin right there.

Yeah.

[Ashley] This thing's adorable.

- It's really cute, isn't it? - That little screened porch is cool, too.

- Oh, cute. - This is cool.

It has a totally different feel than the main house.

- We're just using this as inspiration. - [Ryan] Yeah.

[Chase] You know, there's definitely a disconnect

between the main camp and this.

So this is kind of it has that Maine feel,

this is what they would like to carry over into that place.

- Cool. - That's why I wanted to show it to you.

- Awesome. - I like it.

All right, first thing we need to do is

get rid of that log.

Second thing we need to do is call the guys.

[Ryan] You got those backwards.

[chainsaw whirring]

We are getting ready to do a demo on the Henry camp.

This building could be anywhere in the country.

It's just not attractive.

Plan is to pretty much pull off the trim and everything,

get it stripped back as far as we can

without getting into too much sheetrock,

to get it to a point where we can start framing up new walls and,

you know, close in what we need to.

Are those cabinets going downstairs?

- Yes. - [barking]

- Yep. - Ready, one, two, three.

- These stairs are slippery. - Slick.

Oh, it's all right there. Ah!

[Ryan] We're in the first week at the Henry camp,

and Jedi and I have to move the stove down the stairs and,

of course, I'm the guy in the low end

of the heavy appliance on icy stairs.

We got $4 between all of us, think we have all we needed?

All these appliances are in great shape.

Now we're gonna use them downstairs in the kitchen.

So it's one of those "if you break it, you bought it" type scenarios.

Ah, it's cut my hands.

Oh.

This place is gaudy, isn't it?

[drill machine whirring]

Most boring demo ever, Chase.

Nothing to break.

Nothing to smash.

And it's kind of got me down in the dumps.

We don't like if we're popping off plates,

pulling off some trim and nothing's breaking.

Finally some real demo.

Didn't even break the door, that was a waste.

I want to break something so bad.

I thought if it was a dump throwdown,

I might have thrown one of those windows. It's just fun to break stuff.

Don't hurt your back.

Oh, is it broke? [laughs]

[drilling]

You need a hand?

Ah, I might be able to do it myself, I don't know.

[grunts]

- You got it? - Yeah, figured it out.

What if I fall saving the cabinet?

[Chase laughs]

- Here to there. - Okay.

- Oh, yeah. - Oh, yeah.

Look at that, they used all one piece sheetrock.

I'm just gonna send it!

I think that really is the only sheetrock

we really need to pull out, right?

That's awesome.

There will be a little bit more with the windows

- and stuff but... - Dream demo.

- Yeah. - Except we can't break anything.

- So we could have... - Excuse me?

Maybe a closet door here on this wall.

So today we're out at the Henry camp.

- What are you doing? - She loves her jacket.

What are you doing? You love that jacket?

You love your jacket? Oh, I do, too. You look so cozy.

Whoa! Where's all the ducks?

Already upstairs, it already started to come together,

just getting all the stuff out.

See, see, how Chase organizes his keep and don't keep pile.

What we've got going on down below is here, everybody,

is Chase and his wild salvation stage.

We get to see what's good and what's not in the eyes of Chase.

He's keeping a lot of it.

Look at him, he's scouring the pile.

Hi, what are you doing?

Pulling nails, getting ready to pull the carpets.

- Easiest demo ever. - Great.

I don't get to break anything, it kind of stinks.

That's a good thing.

[clattering]

You know, there's snow on the ground, there isn't a lot.

It's just, it's early in winter,

we're definitely gonna get more.

So the big thing, we'll just need to kind of keep it cleared out.

There's a lot of starting work that's on the interior,

so we're getting started with that.

And then on decent days, you know,

jump outside, get going there,

but, you know, winter is always uncertain,

so we'll just kind of work around the weather.

It's week two at the Henry camp.

Guys, actually, they made great progress.

They've got the walls framed in.

They've got a lot of rough openings for the windows framed in,

they're starting to install those.

And today we are working on figuring out the stairs

from the first floor to the second floor.

So if we take and divide the platforms in half...

I think everything is hard about the stairs.

We know that the stairs are gonna come up downstairs this way.

You got your floor-to-ceiling height.

The issue is they don't drop quick enough

to get quite enough headroom,

so you don't have to duck right here.

And you have to make sure that that's an exact number

for how many stair treads you need.

And then you've got to have each riser

be the same exact height as the other one,

and they all have to have the same width of the tread.

How would that work with that platform?

You know what I mean?

That's complicated.

Back to the drawing board.

It's week two at the Henry camp

and I'm working with Rodney to get the stairs figured out.

Well, we know our stair height and our stair width,

so now I think we just got to cut them, frame them up,

and see what's gonna make the most sense for us.

Rodney and I are trying to figure out for a while how to make stairs work.

But after we put our heads together for a while,

we came up with a solution.

Across like that.

On this camp, you're going up

and then turning to a platform,

you know, to another platform and then turning around,

so you basically do a 180 when you come up on the stairs.

Let's get the stairs built.

Nice.

Okay.

I know the stairs were a big concern for all of us.

And, you know, we've got a stair stringer template made up.

Beautiful.

So now the guys can just cut those out,

fabricate them up.

And we should be good at least to have inside access

from the first floor to second floor.

So today is one of the first beautiful days we've had.

It's a nice day to take a walk,

so I'm gonna walk over to my friend Jody's.

- Hi. - Hey, Ashley.

- How are you? - Good. How are you?

Welcome to my home and my studio.

Thanks for having me.

She is a fused glass artist

and we are working on a project for the Henry camp.

- This is so cool. - Thank you.

It's so bright and lively. I love it in here.

This is their vacation home.

So when they're here, they want it just be everything Maine.

I've done some of the bloom glass...

Lake has tons of loons,

so we thought it would be nice to get rid of the duck

and bring in some loons.

And I was able to whip up my own beautiful little nightlight.

I'm gonna show you how to, um, cut some glass.

So we're doing a special project.

It's gonna be a loon project.

I'm doing a 12x12 panel.

We're doing some detail on the loon and stuff,

so it's gonna be a really fun project.

So I think it's gonna look really nice in the cabin.

- A loon is sitting on this. - It's looking very pretty.

- You know, it looks like it's swimming. - Oh, yeah.

This is the best part of my job,

going and doing all these fun art projects.

I'm gonna teach you how to cut some glass.

The difference between a duck call and a loon call,

duck goes whack-whack, a loon does this, okay, everybody...

[mimics loon hooting]

[loon wailing]

Okay, I always use my pointer finger and you push,

- you hear that noise? - Gonna makes it that zip noise.

When you make the zip noise, that's really good.

For Jody's process,

she's cutting out each of the individual pieces of glass.

Oh, wow.

That was way easier than I thought it was gonna be.

You're gonna have the blues fill the lake

and the loons are black and then,

just gonna add detail with the white for the birch trees

and then the green for the trees in the background,

and then put this layer in.

Then put it into the kiln

and then it kind of just fuses together into a beautiful piece.

So your project is gonna be fun

and here is your three by three square.

- Okay, this is awesome. - This is where the magic happens.

I'm excited for this part.

I'm gonna go over there for a few minutes

and start working on my gig.

- How's it going over there? - It's going great.

- Really cool. - Then it has to bake for 24 hours

and then she'll call me and I'll be ready to go.

-I'm so proud of you. You did a great job. -I can't wait to see it.

It's gonna be really nice.

You chose some great colors

and it's gonna look really nice in a nightlight.

[drilling]

Back to Henry job day.

It's the middle of week three and things are going along as scheduled.

Rodney and crew doing a great job,

they got a majority of the big windows in and they look great.

Really, really changed the place.

Is that even coming out?

[machine saw whirring]

So when I showed up today,

it was perfect timing because they were fighting the stairs.

That's barely moving.

They probably put a pin in this concrete.

Goal is remove the stairs,

keep the deck up there, have a nice, big entry door

and a window in the kitchen.

We have a feeling it's pinned under here,

I mean, the ground's frozen or it wouldn't hold it like that.

We'll find out.

It's always something.

That's barely moving.

Back to Henry job today.

So when I showed up, it was perfect timing

because they were fighting stairs.

So I grabbed a bar and started gutting there with them.

And we fought it for a good half an hour, 45 minutes,

and I figured they were wagged underground of the concrete within the slab.

It's attached to the rim joist.

I want to try out these new stairs anyways.

[Ryan] Look at that.

Those look good.

[saw whirring]

Okay, you're free.

[grunting]

Wow.

We got the stairs out of there and that opened everything up,

so we can get the new big window in on the front.

Perfect.

So things are progressing nicely at the Henry camp.

Garage doors are out, the new windows are in.

We're gonna try and get a little bit siding on this front side today.

Around the corner, the stairs have been removed.

The new door's in, the new window downstairs,

working on getting the upstairs window installed,

and that takes care of all the windows on the outside,

and then it's ready for trim and siding.

So on the inside here, you know, this used to be the garage,

now it's living area down here.

Kitchen's gonna be over here, got a main bedroom over there.

Doug is working on plumbing in the bathroom.

Over here we'll have living area.

And then upstairs, by cutting back this wall here,

we're able to have enough room to get the headroom

to get the set of stairs in snugly,

which allows for plenty of room upstairs,

still you have access to that deck.

You have your second bedroom, third bedroom, bathroom.

All the walls are getting pined over, ceiling's staying the same,

and we are ready to go.

What are we having, Dixie?

Oh, well, we got barbecue weenies, cocktail weenies.

We got little smokies pigs in a blanket.

-Pigs in a bla... Oh, my God, those... -We got red hot dogs.

We got kielbasa.

- We got it all. - I think my diet's gonna take a hit today.

[Dixie] So we're at Henry camp today.

It's freezing cold.

So I thought it'd be good for morale for the crew that I cook some lunch.

So since we're in Vienna, Maine,

I thought we'd do a Vienna sausage theme lunch.

- Hello? - Hello.

Where is everybody?

I don't know.

Is it Vienna sausage day?

I picked the right day to show up.

- Yeah, you're just in time. - Oh, my gosh.

What do you have going on? What is going on here?

I showed up today and Dixie is about to make lunch.

He needed a sous chef, so I stepped right in to help him.

- You want me to cut up this onion for you? - Yeah, chop that onion out.

- It's awesome for this nice freezing cold day. - Oh, yeah.

I had Ashley come, she was my sous chef, big help.

Oh, my gosh, snappy reds.

Snappy reds.

So red hot dogs are a Maine thing.

You go to any baseball game, gas station,

and they're gonna have snappy reds.

All right, guys, come and get it.

Okay, so what we have as the main entree,

we have red hot dogs,

we have a little bit of kielbasa here.

- Yeah. - We're not going back to work, our efficiency just went down.

I like this theme.

When in Vienna, Maine, eat Vienna sausages.

I'd almost take that over lobster roll.

- Thanks, Dixie. - Dixie is by far the best.

He's set right out to cook anywhere and the job sites as well.

It's just portable kitchen he had and he was ready to go.

He actually shined today. So, yeah, we all ate well.

Whoa, I'm full.

Besides the great lunch,

we actually had to do some work today.

Not very safe to be up on a ladder with ice on the rung.

Jedi, Ryan, Dixie are getting prepped for the window

in the second bedroom on the second floor.

Put your layers on and then as you come inside, you sweat.

You go outside, you're cold.

Take it off, put it on.

It was really the last window that needs to go in

to get the place closed in.

[trembling]

Ooh, it's cold. Holding on to cold metal.

If it's like that, I'm gonna put the clothes back on.

- You want me to tap it a little bit? - Yeah.

You own it, buddy. Good job.

See, Chase, I can do responsible demo by now.

[Chase laughs]

So upstairs here, we've got our window all opened up,

rough open and ready to roll.

Got our window prepped here, that's ready to drop right in.

We're gonna get a couple guys out on the ladders.

We're gonna get this window caulked in and get it installed.

Dougy, come on here, buddy.

- I need help putting the window in. - Okay.

Luckily, the guys had prepped everything for the window

and that was kind of the last puzzle piece for the day.

So we're gonna have to go out to Dixie, Doug, okay.

- Top out first. - Yo.

- Is that gonna happen? - Nope.

We got to put the bottom out first.

- Yeah. - Oh, yeah. Here she goes.

Oh, we go.

- Nope. - Chase got the bottom.

What's that?

- We put the bottom out first. - Okay, okay, yep.

Yep, I see.

Smash it up.

- There we go. - There we go.

Okay now, pull out.

Doug, you watch your finger.

[Chase laughing]

- Sweet! - Things look good,

it doesn't look anything like a garage.

You know, it's a cabin now.

The next steps are to finish the siding,

um, get the electrician back in here, insulate the downstairs,

upstairs, a little bit of pine left,

and then it's just finish work, you know.

Sweet.

Did you want to keep it the same size

because that one's a short, short, fat?

That old water heater was a little bit shorter and smaller.

Let's take a measurement.

I'm at the Henry camp today

and we're halfway through week seven on the build.

You know, we got about three to four weeks left till we got to be done.

We're looking pretty good, but it's really important

that we get one side of the siding done.

[saw whirring]

Today wasn't the best day for it.

You know, normally we wait to a warmer day,

but Rodney and Jedi did a good job

and it looks really, really nice.

Now, we have one side left to do

and a lot of work to do inside.

- [punching] - Perfect.

[Ashley] I decided to go with a natural Eastern white pine

siding for this camp.

It will blend in with the landscape

and it will give it the classic Maine cabin feel.

And it will also tie this cabin in well

with the outbuildings that are down by the water.

[Chase] We got a lot done at the Henry camp last week.

The guys got the floors in, stained and polyed them.

We're also able to get the doors and trim in as well.

-Good morning, Doug. -Good morning. How's it going?

Great.

Boy, look at those trees.

It's a really windy day at the Henry camp.

It's early spring, so we're lucky that there's no snow,

but it's definitely muddy.

And today we are down to the fine details.

So the big thing today is hardware.

We've got door hardware, we've got window hardware,

we've got casements, we've got awnings... oh, we don't have awnings.

No awnings, don't confuse it.

We've got cabinet hardware, we've got bathroom hardware.

We've got hardware.

Camp is looking good, but we need to put in door handles.

Doug's here to finish up the plumbing,

but camp is pretty much ready to go.

Lovely.

Well, get the locks and all the hardware put on these windows,

um, let's just say I've got a handle on things.

- Use a new hot water tank here, right? - Yes.

Okay, we got to get the old one out first.

This place is in good shape. Everything was fine.

Someone could have lived another 20 years

and not fix anything.

It definitely didn't need a new water heater,

but there's a program right now for efficiency,

you can get a new heat pump water heater

with an instant rebate of 350 bucks.

While we're redoing everything,

even Chase agreed that it's... it's a no-brainer.

You know, a heat pump water heater

also works as a dehumidifier.

So it dries the air around.

So it's a heck of a deal, it's all digital.

You know, if we had everything cut up,

we might as well just put a new one in.

Do you want to keep it the same size

'cause that one's a short, short, fat, like a two-foot...

- Yeah, we're gonna pull the old one out first. - Three-foot, two-foot.

- How big is that one? - How tall is that one?

- That one's only like three feet tall. - Yeah.

The shortest one's not gonna fit in there?

I don't know, that's what I'm saying,

- let's take a measurement. - How tall is that one?

And my only concern with the water heater is that

if it doesn't work, we're gonna pick it back up,

it's brand new, put it back in the box,

get it back in the box, truck it back to wherever.

As long as we can return this, we have to find some place else for it.

Doug, do you think the hot water tank's gonna fit, buddy?

No problems, only solutions, but this might be a problem.

Do you want to keep it the same size

'cause that one is a short, short, fat, like a two-foot...

- Yeah, we're gonna pull the old one out first. - Three-foot, two-foot.

So we're finishing up here at Henry today

and one of the last things we're trying to figure out

is whether the new hot water tank will fit where the old one is.

- Let's take a measurement. - Um, I think it's like 42.

The old water heater was a little bit shorter and smaller.

We've got 63 inches right here, we have 61 inches on our tank.

I was gonna make it very tight for Doug to get in here

and get his fittings in and on.

So simple solution, they've got this boarded up on the underside,

we're just gonna pop one board,

so now his fittings will go right up

and have no problem working on them.

We were able to make it fit,

it just was a little bit bigger than the old one.

- What color you're going with? - Blue.

The guys said that they are just about finished up with the cabin,

so I decided to come out and get started on some of my decorating things.

This table was here when they purchased the property,

found this, but now all it needs is a coat of blue paint.

So I just put cardboard down under the table that I'm about to paint.

Get paint on the floors, my brother will kill me.

Oh, wow, this is exactly the color I was looking for.

It's gonna give the exact like lake house sort of feel

that Michelle was looking for.

I got paint on me after all.

Yeah, I thought this is going to be the day

that I didn't get any paint on me.

Now I have some new painted pants.

Little boy blue.

I'll give you a hand. You really shouldn't...

- Roll it? - Yeah.

Do you have a roller?

- I was thinking of that. - Let me look, let me look, let me look.

See, this is a trick.

I make it look bad,

just bad enough so that then they want to help me.

And then I get what I want, a helper.

You know, sometimes I just kind of do things a little,

you know, not perfect

because then when people walk by and make comments,

I know that I'm gonna get them to help me.

Oh, yeah, baby.

I know how to do it right,

but this way, I get another buddy to work with.

We need to put in something?

You just dump and roll.

- Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. - Oh, that's so much.

- No, no. - That's too much.

Don't get upset, hold on.

I'll just use, oh, man, you and I are gonna make a mess.

Oh, well, we did... I got way too much.

You hold on, you hold on, you'll be just fine.

- Oh, that's way too much, hold on. - No, it's not.

We'll spread it up.

Yeah, don't panic on the dump and roll,

you just got to, you know, roll with it.

Look at how much paint there is on the table.

When we first had the paint out,

I was thinking it was gonna fall, like,

through the cracks and go onto the floor.

It was just, there was so much paint there.

Look at that texture, huh? Isn't that pretty?

- Yeah, can you just clean up the side? - Yeah, hold on...

So I kind of just realized this table isn't gonna fit in this space,

and then I remembered we have a lanai.

Plenty of room for the table in the lanai.

Lanai is Hawaiian for patio.

Doesn't this just scream Hawaii?

Look at all these tropical islands out there.

That's perfect. That's a good spot in there.

[squeaking]

- [clicks tongue] - Looks good.

Looks great.

I mean, getting those stairs inside,

making that downstairs living space, new big windows.

Oh, it looks beautiful.

You would never know this was a garage.

Stepping inside there from what it was, what it is now, it's awesome.

What are you guys doing?

cleaned everything up.

And we did a bunch of finishing touches

and the place is ready to get back to the Henrys.

Designing this one was really fun.

Before, it was an ugly apartment above a garage,

and now it's a nice true Maine cabin.

We didn't have any plans on doing anything with the outbuildings.

We had a little bit of extra time,

so we ended up being able to decorate and boost those up a bit.

Today is the day we're giving camp back to the Henrys.

I made this.

Oh, can I have that?

- You can have it. - I need a night light.

- Do you? - You made that?

Yeah. I feel how cool this is.

Today is the day we're giving camp back to the Henrys.

Camp looks fantastic.

The Henrys had $60,000 to put into this project.

They gave us 16 weeks,

but we were able to get it done in 12

because it was such a mild winter.

We started with a 1990s garage with an apartment above it

and turned it into a three-bedroom camp on Flying Pond.

- That's cool. - Oh, cool.

That is so pretty.

Welcome back.

- It's not a garage anymore. - [laughter]

Nope.

- [Chase] You've seen nothing yet! - [laughter]

- This is Derin. - Hi.

And this is Nicole.

- Nice to meet you. - And Ashley and Chase.

[Chase] Nice to meet you.

Well, what do you think?

[Michelle] I think it's gorgeous.

[Chase] First thing was getting rid of those garage doors.

You know, it's got new siding, new windows.

We were able to get rid of the outside set of stairs up to the second floor,

but we left that small deck and entrance out there.

The siding, the windows, it looked like it's brand new.

I can't really believe this is the same camp

that we handed off to you guys.

[Michelle] The whole natural siding,

that's exactly what we were looking for.

[Chase] Yeah, that's a Eastern white pine novelty siding.

The girls were seeing it for the first time

and I think they were surprised to see...

[Michelle] How nice it looks.

We won't make you wait any longer, head on in.

[Pete] All right.

- Oh, boy, pretty nice. - [Michelle] Wow, it is beautiful.

- [Pete] Yeah. - [Michelle] Oh, it's super cute.

[Ashley] A little different, huh?

[Michelle] Yes. I love the window.

- [Pete] Yes. This is great. - And the windows look cute.

[Chase] We were able to get the kitchen facing the water,

- so you're looking out. - [Michelle] Wow.

[Michelle] Chase, this is bigger than I thought.

-[Chase] Good. Good, good, good. -[laughter]

[Michelle] And I see that you kept the loon.

[Ashley] Oh, that one, I went and made with a lady that does fuse glass.

Put down all these pieces of glass

and then you put it in the kiln and bake it

and it kind of just meshes together and comes out like that.

[Michelle] That's cool.

So go check out the new bedroom

and bathroom on the first floor.

- [Nicole] Oh, that's a new bathroom. - [Pete] Oh, very nice.

[Michelle] Very nice.

- Very nice. - [Derin] Nice fan.

Unfortunately for our guests,

this is gonna be Michelle and I's room.

Oh, wow. This is way bigger than I thought.

- You guys would end up on the first floor. - Wow.

[Michelle] Holy cow.

The bedroom and the bathroom downstairs,

they're both great, more than we had hoped for.

[Chase] All right, well, let's go check out the part of the project

that gave us the most trouble.

So biggie was fitting in the staircase to the second floor.

Looks like a stairway to heaven to me, Chase.

This is not what I expected, but it's way better.

[Chase] We got the stairs in

and it's still left you plenty of room

to have a hallway through here,

- closing this room to give you the third bedroom. - [Michelle] Yes.

[Chase] And then we closed everything in with v-match pine.

We've left the pine upstairs natural,

so that will kind of age

and that will definitely give you that cabin look.

- [Ashley] Did you guys check out this toilet seat? - [Michelle] Yeah.

- Was this here? - That's original.

- Oh, my gosh. - [all laughing]

Fresh toilet seat.

[Chase] We put the vanity out here.

My sister takes a very long time to get ready.

Well, there we go, please have a seat.

- Dual purpose. - Blame your sister, I love that.

[Pete] Bathroom area that they fixed up there

and put a vanity out in the hallway,

it just made the upstairs a perfect place to be.

[Michelle] Oh.

I'm not gonna necessarily waste the view on two kids.

You put the kids in the back and put adults...

put adults out here.

On upstairs, the old studio area

and the bedrooms up there are great.

And they also left a deck to walk outside.

Okay, we only have a couple more things to show you

before we hand the keys back.

So let's head on out this way.

- A little table. - [Michelle] Aw.

[Ashley] I painted it.

- Very cute. - Very nice.

- Yeah. - This is so cute.

We had a little bit of extra time,

so added a little bit of extra decorations.

So we thought let's just spruce it up a little bit.

- [Michelle] Beautiful. - [Ashley] Yeah.

Yeah, now, you can sit up here

- and enjoy it in the summer. - [Michelle] Yes.
