on coming to work."

So, apparently, Eric has quit.

where nothing's happening.

Dustin's plan
to merge the two dive holes
has hit a wall.

We gotta find out

Dustin must find a way
through the wall of rocks.

So, I came up with
a little crazy idea.

I'm gonna build s superclaw.

That's a great idea.

This is my thing.
This is a piece of cake.

A barrier
of boulders blocks their path
to Kayla's paystreak.

Wes' plan, build a super claw.

The new design is shaped
like a teardrop,

creating wider jaws than
any other claw
he's built before.

The snatch cable will secure
rocks firmly in its grip

and haul them out fast.

When we get these
granite boulders that are
just big and round,

there's no way to grab them.
Everything wants to
slip off of them.

So, anything that we can have
that speeds up our operation
is a plus to us.

The faster we can get these
boulders out of the way,

the faster we can get
to the gold.

I'm just gonna cut this apart.

This is actually a new design.

I get these weird ideas
in my head.
I kind of think in pictures.

So, I guess
I'm a bit primitive.

But when it comes to building,
I think pictures work better.

So, I found some pipe around
and I'm just gonna try
to bend it.

This will open up.

Put the cable, so like,
slip it over the rocks,
close it up,

it's gonna lock it right
onto the rock.

I'm gonna run
the cable through here
with the loop on the bottom.

So, as the guys get this,
they'll get it under
the water,

they'll be able to
set it over a rock,

flip the cables around
like that,

and when you start
pulling on the cables here,

this will tighten up
against the rock.

Once that locks in the rock,
no matter what size,
it catches it.

I'm real close to having
these guys a claw
by this afternoon.

I've got a few more
knick-knacks to do to it.

So, couple more hours,
I'll have this
completely done,

painted, ready to go,
ready to pick up boulders.

In a matter of
just hours...

shale for weeks

and I finally made it to
some round rock,

but now, we're kind of stuck.

for two divers.

But it's risky and untested.

His plan? Punch through
to the other dive hole

with Carlos dredging across
the middle of the creek.

James will follow behind him,
loading baskets and removing
heavy boulders.

I'll connect
the holes today.

We're gonna dig a trench
all the way across, find out
where the gold pay is,

and try to follow it.

That's... That's my dream.

Whether that's gonna
work out or not, I don't know.

it's a race to find gold.

we've got twice the liability
with guys under the water.

keep our guys safe.

While Dustin's crew
focus on joining the holes,

Kayla is determined to
keep following her paystreak.

I'm really hopeful today
that we're gonna see more

Scott didn't spend
as much time actually dredging

as he did moving rocks.
