[All Out of Love]

[Episode 6]

- If there is a chance, go express my gratitude.- Okay.

Are you all right? What happened to your hand?

It's nothing. I'll do it by myself.

What happened?

I got stalked.

Stalked? Wang Dehui?

Maybe.

Aren't you good at fighting? How come you still got hurt?

He was too busy saving a damsel in distress, and then...

It's me.

You still think that you're ten years old?

Really? Did I frequently fight when I was ten years old? How come I don't remember?

It wasn't frequent. You surely don't remember them anymore.

- But the things that happened back then, I still—- They got the surveillance videos.

The car was deliberately tampered with.

On the footage, there was a man who looked a lot like He Manhou.

I feel that he and Bei Guoxiong were behind this.

It is becoming more and more complicated.

Oh, right. Don't let grandpa know about this.

I understand.

How is the investigation about my brother getting beat up going?

The rumors outside are all saying that Wang Dehui is behind it,

but I heard that he got hurt this time because of a girl.

A girl?

Please relay to President Cheng

that we are very interested in this project.

Sure. I will try to send you the detailed data as soon as possible.

Okay, no problem. We will go back first.

- Thanks.- Okay. You're welcome.

Hello, Tianyou.

Hello. I picked up this phone. Are you a friend of the owner?

He lost his phone? May I ask where you found it?

Near the alley.

Oh, really? Thank you. Can you send me your address?

[Ning Xin: Hope That You Are Well]

Hey, you bought a new cellphone?

It's Tianyou's.

How come his phone is with you?

He had a mishap, so I'm temporarily safekeeping it for him.

Did you peek?

Why would I?

That's true. You don't have a special relationship with him, anyway.

Even if I do, I can't. This is respect and trust.

Look at you. You are trying to be so magnanimous again.

What are your plans for this summer vacation?

I still haven't decided.

Did that guy you told me before ask you out?

He... is a bit weird.

Other guys would smile at me, but he is indifferent.

You like him?

Yes. I already have tried my best.

It's right to work hard for love.

Of course. If you want to harvest anything, you must work hard.

You must put your hard work into actions.

I won't end up just waiting like you.

Tianyou and I are good friends.

Stop it. You can fool others, but I'm your biological sister.

It's been so many years. I really don't understand. How long are you going to wait?

The longer you wait, the further he will be from you.

Little kids shouldn't talk nonsense.

I'm telling the truth! You're just refusing to face them.

You've been hiding your feelings all these years. Aren't you tired?

Watch your bearing.

Forget it. I won't talk to you anymore. I'm going home now.

[Weijiaping]

- Auntie Wang!- Liangsheng, you're back!

Liangsheng, you're back!

- Uncle!- Uncle! Hello!

- You guys are back. Xiaowu, you're back. Quickly take two corns.- Yes, Auntie.

- Take this home.- Okay, Auntie.

- Quickly move...- Why are you in a hurry?

- My stomach is aching.- Jiang Sheng! Liangsheng!

- You guys are back.- Uncle, hello.

- Mom! We're back!- Mom! We're back!

- Jiangsheng! Liangsheng!- Mom.

Xiaowu!

- Xiaowu.- Auntie, I'm back, too.

- Auntie, I'll go to the bathroom.- Quickly go.

- Mom, what are you cooking? It smells so nice.- You'll know later.

This is Xiao Jiu. She's going to stay in our house for a few days this vacation.

- Auntie, hello.- Hello. Welcome.

Mom, is dad inside?

He is.

Xiao Jiu, come. I'll take you to my room. Let's go.

Mom, I'll go see Dad.

Okay.

I kept stupidly thinking that if that mine disaster didn't happen,

Liangsheng should be living blissfully right now.

He would be with his mother, and wouldn't be looked down upon by others.

He wouldn't be called an illegitimate child.

No worries, no anxiety. Living happily.

There is a persimmon forest nearby. This season

is not yet the best season. The persimmons haven't grown ripe yet.

If you come in the winter, the persimmons will be big, sweet, and very delicious.

Such a regret. I wasn't able to eat the persimmons here.

When we were young, my brother carved my name on all the persimmon trees here.

He thought that all those persimmon trees would then be mine.

So sweet. It would be great if I had an older brother like him.

The traces on the tree barks have blurred.

That boy who slept until morning in the persimmon woods has also grown up.

Growing up is a pain that can never be rubbed off.

It's just that when Liangsheng and I were catching bugs

and eating braised pork, I didn't understand it.

The areas where the population will boom in the next five years are here,

here, and here.

And these two will mainly be the relocation sites for demolished houses.

Its future land usage plans will be more compact.

Driving and parking will be tight. It doesn't meet our needs.

As for this lot, per the city development plan,

which I've confirmed with them, there will be subway station.

On the western side of the road, there are features that are good for a new subway.

This lot looks good.

Afterwards, I will make sure to get the land at the entrance of the subway through lobbying.

There really isn't anything you, Director Ning, can't put together.

Oh, right.

Your phone. Someone picked it up and returned it.

I thought I would never find it again.

Is your arm a little better now?

It's pretty much fine now.

That's fortunate.

Right. How is that girl doing?

Her? I didn't ask.

I thought you two were close friends. That's not like you.

You don't plan to look for her?

Actually, she was just a passer-by who acted heroically.

- I'll boil some water to make you tea.- Okay.

Hey!

Where have you been? That took so long.

Liangsheng told me you two were here. The diarrhea won't let up but someone is looking for you.

- Looking for me?- Who is it?

- Jin Ling? - Someone named Tianyou.

Well...

You have to use the bathroom again?

I feel it more now that I'm back in Weijiaping.

I'll see you later at their house.

Hello?

Hello? This is Cheng Tianyou.

It's you? I'm grateful for your help that day.

Are you okay now?

I'm okay.

That's good, then. Why are you looking for me?

I can't find my cell phone.

Cell phone?

That day, everything was chaotic and my phone disappeared.

He's saying I lost his cell phone. Did you see his phone?

He's crazy. Calling you to ask about his phone? Is he a moron?

Just tell him the truth.

Hello? I was so nervous at the time. I also don't know where your phone is.

How about you go back and look for it?

If I'd found it, would I be calling you?

If I'd picked it up, I would already have given it back to you.

All right. I'm hanging up.

Shall we continue our discussion?

Hey, where do you think his cellphone went?

Who cares? It's good enough that you saved him. You also want to save his phone? Don't pay attention to him.

Let's go. We'll go home and eat plain noodles. There will be poached eggs, too.

When we were kids, I always sat here with you to look at the stars.

Back then, I thought

I should hurry up and leave for the big city.

Hurry up and see what the city you spoke of looked like.

I thought the stars in the city must be bigger and prettier than the ones we have at home.

But when I think about it now, the stars above our roof are the most beautiful.

I think you mean

the time we spend looking at the stars together is the most beautiful.

Back then, you were all I had, and you had only me.

I just said that randomly. You still remember it?

Aiya, that's not true.

Don't we also have Bei Xiaowu?

He's like a beetle that won't leave us alone.

Yeah. We have Bei Xiaowu.

By the way, I heard him mention

that someone called him looking for you.

Yeah, it was a friend.

Our Jiang Sheng can make friends now?

I've always had lots of friends.

Like... Xiao Jiu,

Jin Ling, the students in my dorm,

- and my classmates... - Don't try to change the subject.

Jiang Sheng, I'm just afraid you'll meet the wrong people.

Don't worry. He just lost his phone and wanted to know if I'd seen it.

- Jiang Sheng ? - Yes? - I think you draw really well.

Xiao Jiu, you have a good eye.

Jiang Sheng, it's a pity you aren't studying art.

Later, make a drawing for me. Draw me,

- and I'll hang it in my house. It'll keep away evil spirits. - Don't scare people away with a picture of you.

Don't you know how to maintain a conversation?

Hello.

Liangsheng, it's for you.

For me?

Hello.

Okay. I've got it.

What's up, Brother?

Weiyang's arrived at the county seat. She wants me to go pick her up.

Go back to your drawing.

The dishes have all been served. Go ahead, eat while it's hot. Eat up.

Pour a little more alcohol. Eat up.

I'll do it.

Brother Bei,

when will you give the left-over money back to me?

He Manhou, don't push your limit. Okay?

I've already given you the amount of money we'd agreed on for your part in this matter.

All these years, I've worked myself to the bone for you. You want to send me away with that small amount of money?

Even if I give you all of my money,

you'll just end up losing it all.

Don't even think about it. I won't give you anything.

Bei Guoxiong, if you're going to talk like that, then you and I will go down together.

What do you mean by that?

What do you think I mean? If I die, you die, too.

Guoxiong, don't get agitated. Let's just talk it out.

Are you threatening me?

I slipped up when I attacked Cheng Tianyou.

The police will find me soon.

When that time comes, who knows what'll come out of my mouth?

You still won't give me any money, right?

No, not even a penny.

- Please don't force Guoxiong. - This is none of your business!

Aren't you with him just because of his money?

I dare you to say another word to her.

Mr. Bei,

it isn't over between us.

Why is He Manhou like this?

One wrong move, and the entire plan will fail.

This town isn't anything like your city, right?

This is the place

where Jiang Sheng and I grew up together.

We would take this path every day

to school and back home.

It seems like I've seen you someplace before.

Really? I'm often around the school campus. Maybe you saw me there.

It seems like it wasn't at school, but I don't remember where it was.

What are you doing here?

I'm just freeloading off of him.

Liangsheng, where will I be staying?

Upstairs.

I'll go take a look.

Why is everyone here to freeload?

Jiang Sheng, did you see that Weiyang?

Ever since she came in the door, she hasn't said a word to you.

So what?

She doesn't like you. If your brother treats you better than her,

she won't be happy.

Moreover, I think

she sees every woman on earth as her imaginative enemy.

She's talking with your brother again. Come here.

I'm used to using a small toothbrush. Could you exchange it for me, Liangsheng?

This is the best toothbrush in our house.

Just make do with it.

If I had such an expensive toothbrush, I'd be so happy.

I'll go sleep at Bei Xiaowu's house. You guys sleep at home.

Why are you in a daze?

Brother, where did this toothbrush come from?

Is it for me?

When I bought this toothbrush for Weiyang, I got one for you, too.

I heard them say that a good toothbrush is good for your teeth. Try it out. I'm going.

I asked at the police station and the group of thugs surrounding you that day were incited by He Manhou from behind the scenes.

- He Manhou? - Yes.

We've been investigating them for awhile, but they're the ones who've come after us.

They haven't caught He Manhou yet. Supposing they do catch him, it's not certain they can connect this to Wang Dehui.

So what should we do next?

- Wait. - Wait?

Wait for news from the police. Wait for Wang Dehui's reaction.

So nice. It feels like back when we were young.

Xiao Jiu, when I was young, we often came here with Bei Xiaowu.

We roasted sweet potato and corn. It was so much fun.

It was me that roasted and you two ate.

Don't talk nonsense. Can't you see Jiang Sheng's as thin as bean sprout?

You surely pilfered them.

He surely sneaked them away and ate them himself.

I've just gotten here and you already are rushing me to leave.

No. You came after arguing with your family. If you are gone for too long,

won't your family be worried about you?

I don't care. I just want to stay here.

Don't be like that. You should go back tomorrow.

I just want to stay with you awhile longer.

Liangsheng, let me stay a few more days. Okay?

Liangsheng...

It's settled, just go back.

I don't want to go back.

Here, Xiao Jiu.

This one's definitely the biggest one in our village.

Did Weiyang run away from home?

I guess so.

You couldn't talk her out of it?

Why don't you and Xiao Jiu go and persuade her?

After all, you're all girls, so it'll be easier to communicate. Okay?

I'm not going. She's hard to deal with.

She's like an old hag. Jiang Sheng and I won't be able to persuade her.

My mom isn't home. I'll go back and grab a bottle of beer for us. Wait for me.

- Who says you can go? Who says you can go?- I'll be right back.

All right. The scoundrel is gone. Jiang Sheng, let's go.

You're really going? I can't.

Are you really afraid that she's jealous of you?

Let's go. If you don't go, I'll look down on you.

All right. I'll go.

But where is Weiyang?

- You don't know?- I don't.

I don't either. Didn't she say she was coming here?

Weiyang!

Weiyang!

Weiyang!

Jiang Sheng!

- Brother!- Quick! Over here!

Jiang Sheng!

- Jiang Sheng! Weiyang!- Brother!

- Brother, quick.- Here.

Careful.

- Are you okay?- Here. Slowly.

- Xiao Jiu! Be careful.- Be careful.

- Here. - I'm fine.

- Are you all right?- Jiang Sheng.

Jiang Sheng. Jiang Sheng.

Are you okay?

- Are you okay?- I'm fine.

Is Weiyang all right?

It looks like she's okay.

Are you okay?

Jiang Sheng, thank you.

Brother, if...

I had drowned, what would you have done?

What are you saying? As long as I'm around, nothing will happen to you.

- Let's go. Let's head home.- Here.

[Weijiaping Village Clinic]

Her body is weak, and now that she's down with a bad cold,

I reckon tonight will be torturous.

You have to take good care of her. I'll prescribe some medicine.

I understand.

Jiang Sheng, how are you feeling?

My head hurts.

Then get some sleep. Once the IV is done, I'll take you home. All right?

Brother Tianyou!

Hey, Su Man, why are you here?

I heard from my father that you're back in Efficient Speed, so I especially came to visit you.

How come you didn't tell me that you're back in the country?

Is your father doing fine? I have been a bit busy lately.

Say hello to your father for me. I will visit him next time.

You're concerned about my father?

Am I still your artist? How come you are not concerned about me?

You are an important talent of our company Starry Sky of Five Lakes.

There is a professional managerial team handling your career.

Isn't that also your business?

President Cheng, the guests are here.

Okay. I'll be there right away.

I'll give instructions for them to make good arrangements for you. I'll go to my meeting now.

Thanks.

I was afraid that if she kept pestering you, you'd say harsh words to her.

She's not to be afraid of it, but it is better not to harm the innocent.

We must not lose the support of President Su.

I'll try my best.

I just wanted to chat with Tianyou, but that woman in their office called him away.

So annoying.

A woman in their office... You're talking about Ning Xin?

Who is she?

Ning Xin is a person whom my brother requested to join Efficient Speed.

She is now the Vice President of the group.

You must not bear too much objection about her.

What objection can I have about her?

She's just relying on her status to get closer to your brother. She thinks she can compete with me?

You better keep a closer watch of my brother, then.

I heard that your love rival isn't just Ning Xin.

Who else is there? How did you know?

As long as you put on more effort, she will appear.

Brother, do you still remember that spring time?

We saw a lot of fireflies.

Do you remember saying that they were looking for their way home?

Do you think they've found their home now?

I'll bring you home.

Mom...

I feel so sick.

Mom...

Mom...

I'm so cold...

Is Jiang Sheng feeling better?

Sorry.

If you are blaming me, just directly say it. If you act this way, I'll feel worse.

Liangsheng.

You should also put on more layers.

Eat slowly.

Brother, where is Weiyang?

I already asked Bei Xiaowu to take her home.

Eat slowly. No one is competing with you.

The deficit case of Weijiaping

is indeed related to what happened to your Aunt Cheng Qing.

Before, the person heading the Weijiaping Mine was a Mister Yang.

Bei Guoxiong called the newspaper office,

saying that this Mr. Yang has some dubious management dealings in terms of safety.

Hence, the newspaper office sent your aunt there.

To everyone's surprise, the accident happened.

- Bei Guoxiong knows my aunt?- Yes.

But the two never had a direct interaction.

Afterwards, Bei Guoxiong replaced that Mr. Yang and headed the mine.

Slowly, he got blinded by self-interest.

Other than these documents, is there any other evidence?

There probably is. I'll go look for them.

Actually, this box probably contains the items left by your aunt.

When this box was first brought here, your grandfather fainted.

From then on, nobody dared to mention this box again.

Grandma.

I've asked Uncle Qian this question, but even he can't clearly answer it.

If your Uncle Qian doesn't even know, stop making it difficult for me.

You've been in the Cheng family for decades. Is there anything that you don't know?

Uncle Qian was with Grandpa for so many years,

so it's normal that he doesn't know about Grandpa and Aunt's fight.

But you're different. Aunt was closest to you.

There is no one else in the house who knows her more than you.

Is my strength enough? Is it comfortable?

Enough. Comfortable.

Comfortable.

You stinky rascal... This is the trick you always use.

Pressing, massaging, and I'll end up confessing everything.

D-Did I?

You stinky rascal...

You'll surely spoil

whoever marries you.

But your aunt...

didn't have that kind of good fortune.

That's right. Aunt loved me the most when I was little.

But in the end, Grandpa didn't even allow me

to attend her funeral.

Yes...

Some things,

if not said,

will not be known by anyone

in the future.

Jiang Sheng, do you know what the best joke in this world is?

I don't know.

That is... One day,

Bei Xiaowu will stand in front of me

and tell me, "Xiao Jiu,

I love you."

Do you know why I came here to Weijiaping?

I wanted to use this summer vacation...

to create some memories for myself.

A memory about Bei Xiaowu that is mine.

That year, the Zhou family had an only son called Zhou Mu.

He had a romantic relationship with your aunt.

The Cheng family

and the Zhou family have always been rivals. Your grandpa was so against it.

I heard that Zhou guy eventually married another woman.

He just abandoned your aunt.
