as a Christmas gift

So each Christmas she would bake
for each of the loved ones

a gingerbread cookie made
specially for them.

She would shape them into a form
that will remind her of them.

Like I remember one year
she baked for his dad

a pair of red gloves and
the week after, he met his mom.

She dropped a red glove.

So over time the gingerbread
cookies were being made

not just for the inner circle
of the family

but for good friends
and special customers too.

What do you think the magic is?

My mom used to think
it was love.

But love for family,
