Envying even friends.

Lying.

Bearing a grudge.

We always say it; let’s repeat it again.

What does our great forefather,
Fellow Ahmad Yasawi say?

Deceive you with his tears,
Every day up he slips.

Never is he up to the mark,
The doomsday sheikh

A turban on his head he wears
Hoping to find some disciples

What good is it without knowledge?
The doomsday sheikh

The material world he embraces
Runs away when trouble nears

He spreads blasphemy all around
the doomsday sheikh.

Now it is all like this.

We commit 1000 different sins
and talk of things impairing ablution.

We know perform ablution.

The solution is evident,
the remedy is evident.

As well as how to catch up
with a missing prayer or fasting.

Then tell me.

What is the remedy of all those sins
that impair faith?

What is the prescription?

Where can we find the prescription for sin?

Which doctor has it?

Let me tell you a story
from Bayazidi Bestami...

to finish our sermon.

He was walking with his disciples one day.

They came to a wali dorm.

Now they call it a mental institution.

While they were chatting
with the doctors...

a doctor informed them about
which medicines cure...

which mental illness.

After all this information,
his highness asked the doctor a question.

"Doctor Efendi, you..."

"mentioned the remedies
for all illnesses".

But what is the medicine
for the illness of sin?"

After a short silence...

as doctors would say
one of the patients...

politely asked for permission to talk.

“If the wise men give permission,
can I say what medicine it is?”

"What kind of a world is this..."

"that they brought you here
saying that you are mad?"

That is all, friends.

Do not think that this is only a story.

The prescription is true.

This medicine is worth prescribing
to those who have sin illness.

This prescription is still valid.

How?

Our Lord promises great things...

to those who repent sincerely.

One of these...

is transforming sins into good deeds.

Do not hesitate on how this can be.

That is the divine promise.
Only fools can dispute it.

God’s mercy is this wide.

Our duty is to believe and surrender.

To trust Him and run to His mercy.

Our Lord treats
His subjects in accordance...

with their faith
and intentions in their hearts.

Those who call on God are not deprived.

As in the verse,
"Allah loves those who repent"...

as in the hadith, "of course,
Allah loves His faithful subjects..."

"who commits sin and repents"...

He saves His subject’s heart
that wallows in sin.

Well.

Let’s say that this is enough for today.

Let’s be quiet...

so that Ismail Efendi
does not wake up.

Reciting God is eternal.

so many secrets from the start.

I've told you that this
is a field of fury; pass it quickly.

I told you that you couldn't
stay here for long.

that trouble will find you
and you will pursue trouble.

Get it over with quickly.

I say it again.

This is the door of repentance.

This door wants food; it wants glamour.

It wants money; it desires adultery.

It wants everything worldly.

It continually wants.

The worst part is that it grows
an unstoppable fire inside a man.

Such a fire...

that you won't see it in the eyes
of a hungry wolf looking at a lamb.

Oh! Will you not feel remorse?

As the name implies, 'repentance'.

You either repent...

or you do the same thing
you repented again.

But whatever you do from now on,
you are aware.

This awareness is the difference
between this state and enjoying the sin.

But it cannot be without duty.

What do the sages say?

Dervishes are known by their duty.

Whatever you command, my sheikh.

You have heard of the mayor.

We care about the office he represents.

Whoever sits in the office is the mayor.
