All of that runoff is gonna
swell the Woonsock River

way beyond its banks.

all at-risk citizens

Observatory is open

if anyone needs a
safe place to stay.

Volunteers there will have food,
water and medical supplies.

Everyone else will handle
step two, property protection.

We're gonna focus our efforts
on the South and West Basins,

as well as areas that
border the river.

Gullies, culverts, storm
drains have to be clear.

We're gonna need
as many sandbags

as we can get our hands on.

So anything that even
resembles a bag, fill it up.

Strategic choke points and
sandbag berms will slow down

and redirect water flow.

Let me be clear.

We are on our own in this
fight. There is no help coming

and we have no reinforcements.

But what we do
have is each other.

And as far as I'm concerned,
that's all we need.

can fight off blizzards,
