[Legend of Fuyao]

[Episode 51]

I gave all of myself to Lady Fei Yan.

Just for this moment...

And the powers she bestowed to me.

Kill me first, if you must.

Don't worry, I'll go in order of age.

Yun!

- Father... - Yun!

Yun...

Let me see.

Let me see.

Father...

We're in the wrong.

Pay for your sins with my life.

This can't be...

This can't be!

Where's the Dragonscale Armor I gave you?

Nothing in the world should be able to hurt you.

This... this can't be!

Yun!

- Father... - You'll be fine.

The cycle of vengeance never ends.

Stop while you can.

Yun, you're such a silly child.

I did all of it for you.

I gave up my whole life and endured humiliation to beg Lady Fei Yan

so that I could kill off all our enemies before I die.

So you could lead a safe and smooth life.

I did all this for your sake!

Don't you know that, my child?

Don't be scared.

Father...

I don't want you to do any of this.

I really love you.

If my death can put an end to this grudge

I can... die without regrets.

Yun... Yun!

Yun...

Yun...

Don't be frightened...

We can go home soon.

Don't be scared.

If it wasn't for the two of you...

she wouldn't have died.

I'll make you pay for it with your lives.

Yun...

Yun, why are you such a fool?

Yun gave you the Dragonscale Armor?

Why?

I'm not worth it...

I've been adamant for so many years.

In the end...

I have nothing left.

Forget it.

Godfather...

All right...

My King.

What did Crown Prince Wu Ji say?

My King, I talked to Crown Prince Wu Ji about this matter

and he said...

he doesn't wish to lend you his army.

It's because he still bears a grudge against you

for taking sides with Prince Yi and snatching me from him.

That's not so.

I was deceived by Zhangsun Ping Rong.

- It's not my fault. - I understand.

Your survival depends on that reinforcement of 100,000 soldiers.

We must borrow them, whatever the cost.

Therefore...

I took it upon myself to agree to Crown Prince Wu Ji's terms.

What does he want?

Crown Prince Wu Ji just wants to make himself look good.

Although Crown Prince Wu Ji is outstandingly intelligent

he has always craved great achievements to show off.

His Highness said that if he helps us pacify this unrest

he'd like to take full credit for it.

Then, he'll be complimented by the Emperor.

And here I thought he was after something else.

If it's just reputation he's after, that's easy.

However...

how can the Emperor be so easily fooled?

So Crown Prince Wu Ji means

to take over all of the armed forces temporarily

regardless of which kingdom they serve.

He can show off then.

If he takes charge of such a huge army and comes up with a plan of his own...

My King, fret not.

I've already left some room to maneuver.

During the battle, all commanders' badges

and military tallies will be in my possession.

However awe-inspiring Crown Prince Wu Ji may be in the battle

he's just all show and no talk.

The military tally will be mine to command.

And it would mean that you still have the right to it.

That way, it's perfectly safe.

My King, I heard that the rarest of treasures are in Singing Frost Tower.

If Prince Lie really makes his way here

and confiscates those treasures as military provisions

what will you do then?

My King!

My King! My King!

My King, they have already fought their way to Anhe Pavilion.

They're just 50 miles west of the city!

Prince Lie is coming at us with a crushing force.

All the people have pledged allegiance to him.

My King, please make a decision.

All right.

Go to Crown Prince Wu Ji and tell him that

as long as I remain the King of Tiansha

I'll agree to all of his terms!

Yes!

Yue...

Is there really no way you can save her?

You're the Divine Physician.

You are the Divine Physician!

Yue, I'm begging you.

What Qi Zhen impaled her with... is a bone melting poison.

I can't save her.

I can't save her...

Perhaps...

Qi Zhen isn't the only sinner.

In order to seek revenge...

I schemed and plotted.

Even though you're my brother, I disregarded your feelings

and forced you to kill your own foster father.

I knew deep down that Yun was genuinely kind to me.

I knew none of this would happen if I just let go of my grudges.

It's me...

It's me...

I'm the one who killed her.

I'm the one who pushed her to a dead end.

I'm the sinner.

It's all because I realized it too late.

I'm sorry...

I'm sorry.

I'm so sorry...

I'm sorry...

I still got here too late.

Zong Yue.

This is the last Muling Berry I have.

If this doesn't work, there's nothing I can do.

Quickly!

She's alive!

She's still alive!

Lady Fei Yan's poison isn't that easy to cure.

She's just hanging on by a thread.

I'll have to find some other remedy to keep her alive.

I'm leaving.

I'll take her with me to find a cure.

It might take a month.

Or a year.

Or a lifetime.

As long as there's still hope, I won't give up.

As for you...

I think that you should know how to be a good king

after going through so much.

You should know how to make decisions and what to give up.

You should know how to judge people.

The path is yours to take.

I can only help you this far.

Take care.

Wu Ji...

If we're meant to meet again, we will.

- Don't come any closer! - Yue!

Who told you to bully me!

Don't come near me!

Yue, you're so mean!

I'll eat all the best food in the capital and leave nothing for you!

I think I've met you before.

You seem like... an old friend I haven't seen for years.

I knew I was right.

Yue...

You're Yue, aren't you?

Who I am doesn't matter.

What matters is that your father...

He's my enemy.

If you hate my father for what he did, why don't you let me make it up to you?

I can't bear to see you spend the rest of your life in hatred.

I wish to help you.

Crown Prince Wu Ji is valiant and unrivaled.

I'm honored that you've come to pacify this unrest.

Tiansha Kingdom is grateful to Your Highness for coming to our aid.

We have an agreement.

I brought reinforcements to tackle Zhan Bei Ye for you

so you better not go back on your word.

All right!

Convey my command.

Deploy 20,000 men from the Gold of Tiansha.

Have them stall the enemies for as long as they can.

- Yes. - We have a deal.

Your Highness is to send in the Alliance Army

to fend off the rebels with us.

Why is it that only Tiansha's soldiers are fighting the enemies?

I'm the one in charge now.

Do you have any objections?

Why don't you take the military power back then?

I'll leave with my men.

I believe Nan Cheng can win this battle on his own.

There's no need for me to be here.

It isn't so.

It's a great honor that Your Highness is willing to fend off the rebels for me.

Even if the 20,000 men from the Gold of Tiansha are killed

it's still their honor to die for Your Highness.

My King.

There are three layers of walls within the fortress of Pan City.

We're impenetrable.

It's the Alliance Army guarding the city

but our own men are out there risking their lives.

My King, aren't we at a great disadvantage?

His Highness must have his plans.

Nan Cheng, you're the sensible one.

Your Highness, it might get chaotic soon.

Why don't we talk inside the palace hall?

- Nan Cheng, after you. - After you.

Report!

The rebels are less than 10 miles away!

10 miles?

Aren't they going to barge in soon?

What should we do?

Report!

The rebels have swept past the first line of defense!

Your Highness!

Report!

The rebels are at the Wujun Gate!

They will invade the palace soon!

Your Highness!

Once they get past Wujun Gate, Zhan Bei Ye will charge into the palace!

You have to do something!

I'll lead the army to take them on!

Good...

That's good.

It's said that the army Prince Lie is leading in this rebellion

is the secret army he subdued in Geya Desert.

They're invincible on the battlefield.

They can travel thousands of miles without rest.

None of us are a match for Prince Lie's army.

This city gate...

Will we be able to defend it?

Get ready for battle!

I, Zhan Bei Ye, have led my army, fighting all the way back to Pan City.

It isn't the sovereignty or wealth that I am after.

I'm just unwilling to let the villain alter the former king's will.

I don't wish to see the people of Tiansha suffer under a fatuous king.

I don't wish for our comrades to fight each another

spilling blood across the lands!

All of you are my brothers.

Prince Lie is an unrivaled hero!

If there's life after death...

we'll definitely pledge our allegiance to you!

But acting upon the royal decree, we are to defend Pan City today!

Bite not the hand that feeds you!

At Wujun Gate...

No soldier will surrender in fear of death!

Prince Lie!

Please do as you wish!

I respect you for your loyalty!

You will all be buried in the highest of honor!

My brothers of Tiansha...

I'm sorry.

Attack!

Fire!

Charge!

Charge!

Young Master.

Prince Lie has already taken Wujun Gate and is heading towards the palace.

Is the matter taken care of?

Rest assured, Young Master.

Grand Consort Jing was rescued.

Prince Lie's army swept across the whole ice field.

Taking out some guards in the palace won't be a problem.

It might not be that easy.

I'm afraid that blood will be spilled in the last line of defense.

What should we do then?

Wait right here.

Yes.

The palace gate of Tiansha is protected by a spell from the ancient firmament.

We can't get through this gate.

Fifth Brother.

What should we do now?

It's up to the Zhan family to settle our grudge now.

We've fought for you this far.

There's nothing we can do in the palace of Pan City.

Please fulfill your promise to us now.

No!

General!

They ended up like this because they betrayed our ancestors.

You can't trust them!

We agreed to be honest with each other.

I'll lead my men into the palace and you'll stay out here as reinforcement.

Once I take over Pan City, I'll return to fulfill my promise.

What are we to do if you continue to hold us to the curse

after you enter the palace?

I'll stay here with them.

No!

I have faith in your promise.

I also believe that you'll be able to kill Zhan Nan Cheng.

Set out quickly and return soon.

I'll be waiting for you here.

All right.

I'll definitely be back.

I'll stay outside the palace with you.

Zhan Bei Ye...

He wouldn't leave me behind.

Sure!

I'll keep you here with us!

You've kept me waiting for a while, Prince Lie.

- The secret army-- - They can't get in.

I know.

That's why I came out here to wait for you.

Otherwise, how would you capture Zhan Nan Cheng

with only a dozen men from the Black Wind Cavalry?

Attack!

Attack!

Attack!

- Attack! - Leave this to me.

You should get in there quickly.

Limit casualties, as much as you can.

Hold the palace gate!

Where did you say the Crown Prince's reinforcements were?

Crown Prince's men are still trapped outside the palace.

I'm wondering if we should open the palace gates first

to let Crown Prince's men in?

No, that's too risky.

Have our men gather at the palace gate!

Fend off Zhan Bei Ye first!

Tell them that whoever kills Prince Lie can have his royal title!

Shut the gates!

Block them!

[Yongqin Gate]

Dispatching orders! Open the gate!

Take the enemies head on!

Step aside!

How dare a eunuch order us about!

Get lost!

[Command]

Where is my General of True Valiance?

Where is he?

General of True Valiance has arrived!

It's the General of True Valiance!

- General! - My King.

I've come late to protect you.

Save me!

Save me, quickly!

My King, I've come to save you.

Zhan Bei Ye recruited a mysterious and valiant army from who knows where.

I can't keep him away for long!

Listen!

They're almost here!

Escort me out of here!

Report!

My King, I was told to open the palace gate to take on the rebels.

But we're greatly outnumbered and need reinforcements!

Who told you to open the gate?

General of True Valiance did!

Nonsense!

He's right here with me!

How could he have given such orders?

My King, don't blame them.

Did you hear that?

He said that you let Zhan Bei Ye into the palace.

Shouldn't he be killed for it?

He's telling the truth.

I did give orders to open the gates.

That can't be!

General, obey my command.

I command you to kill Zhan Bei Ye.

As long as Zhan Bei Ye dies, you can ask for any reward!

Go now!

General!

General!

General!

You...

You've betrayed me?

You're wrong, Zhan Nan Cheng.

I never pledged allegiance to you.

But you're...

my General of True Valiance!

I'm not your General of True Valiance.

Nor am I a Shadow Guard from Shangyang Palace.

You...

Who exactly are you?

Who am I...

You can ask your brother, Zhan Bei Heng.

But...

he's dead.

So Bei Heng was telling the truth.

I know who you are.

You're that fake Princess Fo Lian.

Fu... Fu Yao!

Guards! Arrest her!

[Gold of Tiansha]

Arrest her.

Arrest her!

Arrest her!

Gentlemen, Prince Lie's army is right outside now.

They are about to seize the palace.

Are you going to lay down your lives for a fatuous and useless king?

If you renounce the bad king and choose a good one

it would make you a meritorious subject who supported the right king.

If you choose to stubbornly resist, you'll die for nothing.

Yes, we'd just die for nothing.

Prince Lie is a benevolent man.

Everyone looks up to him.

If he wasn't, he couldn't have won over the whole kingdom in a few days.

Now that the battle is as good as lost...

Gentlemen...

those who suit their actions to the times are wise.

You can think it over.

You can either defect to Prince Lie now and enjoy the success of your career

or have your parents and children suffer in the flames of war

hopeless and helpless.

Please think this through.

You...

You! Shameless villain!

Do you not know what sort of a man Zhan Nan Cheng is?

Do you not know that yet?

If you continue to remain loyal to such a man

even the grim reaper will send you straight to hell!

Please think it through.

Whether you leave or stay

Prince Lie and I won't make things hard for you!

Sir...

Why hesitate?

You still have your parents and children!

Don't you want the best for them?

What are you waiting for?

Come over here!

We want to live!

Exactly!

Master Wu! Master Wang!

Master Wu!

You--

You...

Go kill her.

Kill her and I'll reward you with silver!

Kill her!

I'll reward you with silver!

Kill her!

Comrades...

Stop fighting.

Enough blood has been spilled.

Go home.

Young Master, if you really wanted to support Prince Lie

you could get the Imperial City to announce a decree

to make Zhan Nan Cheng abdicate the throne.

Why go to all this trouble?

I'm not assisting Zhan Bei Ye to the throne.

It's the people of Tiansha I care about.

Prince Lie may be valiant, but if he wishes to be a true king

he needs to forsake useless compassion.

What he is going through right now is necessary for him.

You can't kill me!

I'm your brother!

Wintry Hall...

It's the most important place in the Royal Court of Tiansha.

If blood must be offered in consolation to the ancestors of those warriors...

you're still not fit for it.

Yes, that's true!

My blood will only stain this place!

It's not good enough to be spilled!

Today...

I'm only standing here...

because of countless comrades who sacrificed their lives for me.

So many innocent lives were taken!
