All right, in this section,

we will take a break from learning web development

and turn our focus to web design.

Now, learning web design may sound scary and difficult,

but don't worry,

I will make it as easy as possible for you, I promise.

So, just for this course,

I created a special design framework

that is easy to use for everyone,

and which is basically a collection of design rules

and design guidelines

that you can apply to different design ingredients.

So that's things like typography, color, spacing, images,

and many others.

And these are all really practical guidelines

because my goal here

is really not to turn you into a graphic designer,

but it is to turn you into a developer

who can also design beautiful

and professional-looking user interfaces.

And this will set you apart from other developers,

because in fact, there are actually not many people

who are good at both writing code and also designing.

So basically, in this section,

we will learn about this the web design framework

that I created, and we will also immediately apply

some of the most important rules

to a new and small project using CSS.

And I'm really, really happy about this section.

It's one of the best

and most unique parts of this course, I believe,

and I'm sure that you can extract a ton of value

out of these videos.

Now, if for some reason you're really not interested

in learning about design, then that's absolutely okay too.

You can just skip this section

and move on right to the next one.

But hopefully you do want to become a developer

who also designs.
