was said to be
a mystical place.

One day, a lost sea creature
made her way into the harbor.

[INTRIGUING MUSIC PLAYING]

[TENSE MUSIC PLAYING]

[WATER GURGLES]

[GENTLE MUSIC PLAYING]

I will never forget the summer
I turned 12.

I was headed nowhere and fast.

All my family before me
either ended up in jail,
or worse,

stayed in the harbor.

That was my destiny.

I lived in an old houseboat
with my mom.

It was just the two of us.

But I was usually alone.

Our area was called
Adventure Harbor.

The stories
about Adventure Harbor said

it was a magical place

with mystical sea creatures
living in the oceans nearby.

I spent almost everyday
boating around that harbor

and I never saw
a single sea creature.

Not a one...

until that 12th summer.

That's when everything changed.

[VIOLIN MUSIC PLAYING]

[BLOWS RASPBERRY]

of shimmery colors

with my own two eyes.

I saw something in the water
and then I heard the sound.

sounding a horn,

or a siren, or something.

seeing a sea creature.
