have been just misplaced.

Amelia has really taken
something

that has been an issue

and turned it into something

anorexia causes,

all I cared about was
the skinniness.

It's hard and I don't want
what happened to me

to happen to other people.

I mean, she's 17.

She's still trying to get
through her life

and figure it out.
It's like an addict.

it means that she is
to that place

where she wants
to actually fix it.

And he feels you're
genetically born with it.

I had my own problems.

when I was young and it was,

and cute, but like, everybody's
blonde, blue-eyed, and skinny.

I said I don't like
my wardrobe.

And they said well,
lose some weight

and we'll put you
in a cuter wardrobe.

- And you started doing that.

- And then you'd get
rewarded for it.

- People will compliment me.

- Of course,
and then you're rewarded.

- And then it feeds it.

The more they complimented me,
the less I would eat.

I would take V8 juice and put
it in a bowl and heat it up.

And that was my food.
- Ugh!

It was like that for years.

I mean, I can remember times
where--

I'm only gonna have
six almonds today.

That's all--that's what
I'm gonna have.

- All day?

- When I was growing up and
my sisters were so skinny

and all the models were,

that's what triggered
all of that.

- Of course!

- But I was
very self-conscious.

Lisa Rinna opened up
about Amelia,

who was very brave
to share her struggles

with an eating disorder.

I can't just pretend

that I don't know what
that feels like.

So guess what?

I had an eating disorder
when I was younger.

- You're an open book.

And you share that
with your kids

and you share it
with your life,

then they'll
feel comfortable sharing.

And you need to know that too
because you didn't say--

- I didn't say it
because I was scared

if ever share it with them,
that they would...

- It would get--yeah
they would do it.

- I never wanted my kids
to have that problem.

You know what I mean?
- Just because you're saying it

doesn't mean
they're gonna do it.

- I know but they're older now.
But when they were--

I didn't ever want to say it
when they were little.

You know? Because I thought
I don't even want to put that

in their head.

- Well, it's in their head
though in the world.

- I know, I know
and I should have.

But I didn't.

- No, and maybe you go home
and you gather them around

and you have a chat with them.

- Yeah, I know.
I'll tell them.

It terrified me
to ever tell my children

I used to have
an eating disorder.

I always wanted them to have
a healthy body image.

And I never say things like,
"Oh, I feel fat in this."

Or, you know, pointing out
anything about their body.

I just wanted them
to be healthy.

- You and Mau have raised four
beautiful, strong, independent,

well-adjusted girls.

- Very confident.

- I love your girls.

an eating disorder.
