[Novoland: The Castle in the Sky S2]

[Episode 34]

Master.

I'm taking a bath.

Why are you here?

Are you embarrassed?

I can't see anything here.

What is it?

I just wanted to tell you...

that there will be a meteor shower a few days later.

Shall we see it together?

Okay.

I'm off.

Found it.

Xing Shang Li left this.

If the Flower Goddess's jade is broken,

it'll reopen the energy channel between me and Jing Kong.

My brother will be saved, then.

The jade is crafted from the pendant.

It won't be easy to break.

We need to find the treasure in Stars Pavilion.

I'm going there now.

Wait.

What is it?

Do you know when the energy

is transferred to your body?

what would happen?

I am a mortal being.

My body would be reduced to ashes.

Indeed.

Only one of you may live.

That's how destiny is.

It's fate that

you two are not meant to be together.

You are an empress now.

Please think this through.

If it's either Du Qian Yin or you who can live,

what would you do?

I would definitely save her.

That's right.

Master has done so much for me.

If he dies,

I'd lose everything as well.

I shall be selfish for once.

Yun Mu Yang said

only the Flower Shifter Nail...

can break the Flower Goddess's jade.

When the energy channel is reopened,

I will receive the excessive energy.

I will die,

but Master will be saved.

Master.

Wait for me.

Master.

That's meteor dust, right?

It's the meteor dust

that allows Novoland to stay afloat.

The Sky Eye, too.

Your grandfather, Ji Shu, made that.

The Scorching Core inside it

is capable of destroying an entire city.

That's dangerous.

Why did he make it, then?

It sounds scary.

Master.

That must be the star of Gu Xuan.

Indeed.

It is the star of parting.

A very tragic star.

A meteor! Hurry!

Make a wish, come on!

What's the hurry?

Now you can make plenty of wishes.

Is that even possible?

I'm not that greedy.

I only have two wishes.

I wish for the nation's peace.

Secondly,

may we be together forever.

They'll come true.

Master.

If...

I mean, if.

If we get separated in the future,

will you remember me forever?

If that day ever comes,

look up at the star of Gu Xuan.

Think of it as me.

I will summon a meteor shower...

and fulfill all your wishes.

I don't want the star of Gu Xuan.

I want a star that represents reunion.

Here, Master.

Very well.

Keep it properly.

How beautiful.

Master.

What's going on?

What's going on?

This isn't right.

What did you do?

Something must have gone wrong.

Nothing is wrong.

What do you mean?

The Flower Shifter Nail doesn't exist.

The item you found at Stars Pavilion...

is the Soul Reaper Nail that I've placed.

It can even make an expert magician like Xue Jing Kong...

die instantly.

Xing Shang Li and I...

have written a book together.

He writes the letter "i" like "l".

I knew something wrong with that book.

But Master doesn't believe you'd harm him.

Do you hate me so much?

I still can kill you

even without the Soul Reaper Nail!

Give me some time.

Be careful.

Leave.

I still have this.

Fang Wu Yi.

Do you want to see her die

with her organs ruptured...

and her soul destroyed?

Master

You gave me my life.

I'm happy to have loved you...

in this life.

No.

I will protect you forever.

Master!

Master.

Master.

Master.

Master.

Promise me...

that you'll live a good life.

No, no.

You can't die, you can't.

You can't die.

I should've died a long time ago,

but I couldn't bear to leave you.

The curse of the Flower Goddess...

has now been lifted.

I will protect you...

forever and ever.

I love you.

No.

No, no.

Fang Wu Yi, you've sealed me in for so long,

but you've still failed.

I shall take my revenge...

on this woman here!

Master.

Are you still here, Master?

I know it's you.

It must be you.

The Sky Eye, too.

Your grandfather, Ji Shu, made that.

The Scorching Core inside it...

is capable of destroying an entire city.

Master.

I understand now.

You wanted me to destroy Novoland...

and kill Jin Nian with the Scorching Core.

Nine chimes. An emergency declaration.

Nanyu is facing a catastrophe.

An emergency declaration.

Don't tell me that Nanyu is really falling.

God bless the Winged clan! God bless the city of Nanyu!

God bless the Winged clan! God bless the city of Nanyu!

God bless the city of Nanyu!

Look! What's that?

This way, hurry!

Run, run!

Faster!

I will not let you harm Jin Nian.

Are you crazy?

Why are you working for Jin Nian?

Only he can resurrect Qian Yin.

She's dead.

Du Qian Yin can never come back to life!

No.

Jin Nian promised me...

that anyone can be resurrected...

in the Eternal Dreamland.

That's just an illusion!

Is this all for the sake of a dream?

So what?

Prepare to die!

The Golden Wings and the empress...

are nothing but lies!

Master.

Let's fight together.

Brother Yun!

Qian Yin!

Greetings, Your Majesty.

Greetings, Your Majesty.

Are you all right?

Your Majesty!

I saw grandfather's grandfather

at the frozen lake outside the city.

Master!

Master.

Master.

The world returned to peace.

The Winged Empress rebuilt Nanyu City...

and returned Shuang City to the humans.

She ordered equal rights for the humans...

and the Winged clan.

On behalf of the Empress,

I hereby proclaim that every family...

shall receive 300 catties of rice and two feet of cloth.

Labour is abolished.

Long live the Empress!

She improved the nation's welfare and earned her subjects' loyalty.

The nation prospered,

and she became the most virtuous ruler in history.

Everyone sang praises about the Winged Empress.

But, ever since that fateful day, I have never seen her smile.

I think...

she's even lonelier

than the fireworks in the sky.

[Kong]

Master.

I've finally found new milliwebs.

The fireworks this year are brilliant.

I don't like them, though.

They're too brilliant.

I can't see the star of Gu Xuan.

By the way,

Yue Cong got married a few days ago.

Qi Mo is getting wiser, too.

I can't even find any faults in his advice.

[Ten Years Later]

The man who sell pineapple tarts has retired.

His son took over.

The pineapple tarts...

doesn't seem to taste as good.

Do you remember him?

You gave him a golden pearl when he was young.

He said that there was a master who used to buy his tarts.

He asked me where the master is now.
