I've had a lot of people in my life come and go.

I was 4 years old when my mom left.

and so it was just us girls

around the house a lot of the time,

ordering at food banks and shopping at thrift stores.

So, I've definitely gone through a lot.

But I mean, it brought me here.

I was just in awe. Like, I wanted to stand up.

That's how much she moved me with that voice.

Wow. Wow, wow. Pretty incredible.

She can handle the song and ‐‐ and make you believe

that she's the woman who wrote the song.

I love it. You're connecting it to something emotional.

One note ‐‐ sometimes when you sing

closed "A" vowel sounds, it can get a touch pitchy. Okay.

I don't know if I like the ending.

It's so big, and it just felt like

the ending is just so little.

When we get to the big crescendo on the high note,

I almost wish that was the end, but I know it wouldn't ‐‐

Take every preconceived notion you have about Mr. Snoop,

I did not anticipate that. Why did you choose that song?

My grandpa passed away a few months ago.

Him and my grandma had this crazy, beautiful love.

Actually, his last words were that

he wanted to give her a kiss,

and he did.

Being in the foster‐care system, you don't really

is you don't sing with vibrato.
