This film portrays two
near yet distinct periods.

In 1973, when Spain was under
Franco's dictatorship,

the Basque members of ETA carried
out the assassination Prime Minister,

Admiral Carrero Blanco, the
predictable successor of Franco.

The Basque organization was then
looked upon with great sympathy

as a part of the Spanish
progressive movement.

Spain approved the Constitution.

This film shows how in this
new political context,

many members of the
terrorist organization ETA

committed violence and refused
to lay down their arms

despite the fundamental change that
