Episode Nineteen

The Green Hills Court

Yuwen Zhuo is still alive.

The grand funeral

was just a play

to trick others.

Brother Linxi

became a worthless

sacrifice.

That’s right.

He even dares to trick the Emperor

and I am nobody compared to the Emperor.

He only thinks me

as a spy of sacrifice.

(Crying)

But Yuwen Yue,

do you know

I almost trusted you?

Young Master,

we have thoroughly searched the slum

in the city of Chang’an,

but we found no trace of the spies from the Liang State.

We have also searched

everywhere in Chang’an,

including the inns and hotels.

There is no trace of them either.

Even a mice

or a sparrow

can’t get away

without being noticed,

let alone

three people.

How could three people

disappear just like that?

The mausoleum of the previous Dynasty

situates in the wasteland outside the city.

That’s right, Your Young Master.

However, this mausoleum

was robbed a long time ago.

There is no one there,

but only some

empty tombs.

(Sound of walking)

Young Master,

I led a group of guards of Yue

to follow Yuwen Huai,

according to your order.

Have you found anything?

Yuwen Huai is very cunning.

He goes around the city.

The more cunning he is,

the more likely he is

trying to meet with

the spies from the Liang State soon.

We followed him

outside of the city.

It looks like

the spies from the Liang State

have been staying in the tombs.

They couldn’t stay in the city,

so the mausoleum was their only choice.

(Sound of walking)

Young Master,

His Master wants Xing’er to be a spy of sacrifice

to defeat the spies from the Liang State.

I need to kill them

as soon as possible.

Call for all the guards of Yue.

Yes, sir.

(Sound of walking)

(Sound of riding horses)

Congradulations. Young Master Huai.

You finally become the master of

the Red Hills Court.

You must have some reason. Otherwise, you wouldn’t help me.

You can tell me now.

We came here

is to collect evidence that

Duke Dingbei of Yanbei is plotting a rebellion.

Why would Duke Dingbei plot a rebellion?

I think

the Liang State is playing

Yanbei and the Wei State

against each other

in order to take advantage from it.

You are very smart indeed.

The next move

is for you to help me…

Making me a collaborationist?

You came here to meet with me

at this late hour.

What do you think you are doing?

Your grandfather has been

a collaborationist

for many years.

He has enjoyed wealth,

surrounded by beautiful women.

Besides,

only the winner survives.

Don’t you want to rule the Wei State?

I have one more doubt though.

Why did you choose me?

Indeed,

based on the talent and title,

you are not the best choice,

but there is something in you

that no one else has.

Which is?

Your ambition.

(Smirking)

Young Master Huai,

this is why I chose you.

Desire

can motivate anyone

in the world.

I do admire

the ambition you have.

Fine.

From now on,

we are partners,

going through thin and thick

in order to achieve our goals.

If we want to accomplish our goals,

we must get rid of Duke Dingbei first.

A few days ago,

we replaced the letter

from Yan Xun

to Yan Shicheng.

In addition to our scheme in Yanbei,

after Duke Dingbei received the letter,

he will definitely

come to Chang’an in person

to protect his son.

Then you can

lead the troops

to kill him.

But the Emperor is not

against Duke Dingbei officially.

Let me take care of that.

You only need to…

Why is that?

Please trust me.

You will see tomorrow at noon.

Princess,

Yuwen Yue is leading troops

towards us.

Let me take you with me.

No.

Young Master Huai,

your priority is to

meet the Emperor.

You can’t delay it.

We can deal with

Yuwen Yue.

How can I just abandon you like that?

Didn’t you just say

we are partners

and we will achieve our goals together?

Vacillation will only lead to failure.

You should leave now.

(Sound of riding horses)

Watch out.

(Sound of men falling off horses)

(Sound of fighting)

(Sound of riding horses)

(Sound of fighting)

Princess, are you hurt?

You are the spies from the Liang State.

Your martial art is impressive.

Who are you?

Restrain them now.

Yes, sir.

(Sound of fighting)

Are you all right?

I am, Your Young Master.

(Laughing)

Cuties.

你们是从哪里来的 Where did you com from?

(Laughing)

Each one of you even wears clothes.

Be careful.

Cutie.

Cutie. Little cutie.

Each one of you

even carries a weapon.

How impressive.

How adorable.

(Sound of kissing)

Be careful.

Fine. Since you are here,

you can stay

and live with me,

being my bodies.

(Laughing)

Here.

Since we are good bodies,

I shall give you

something tasteful.

Melon seeds.

Here.

Eat.

Eat them all up.

Long time no see, Shopkeeper Zuo.

I come to see you

I didn't invite you

What are you doing here

I come to see you

to ask for your favor of course

What

How do you like

this pair of

mice brothers

Good. I can see it

Seems like you've done your work

Of course

Don't forget

our deal

I know it

There's no good seeing you

What deal?

I don't remember

I've got amnesia

Maybe I was infected by you

You should know about amnesia well

Right

Then I should take these gifts well

I'll give you something else next time

Wait

An adult as you

take back the gift you gave out

Are you comfortable doing that

I can give you something bigger

next time

Like what?

Like a big cat

Who will eat all of these cuties

You fool

Why don't you give me a tiger,

Silly girl, a big cat?

Just tell me, what else do you want?

Since you asked,

all of those

sharp weapons you have

Your naughty girl,

Follow me.

Princess, are you all right?

I am fine.

If you didn’t risk your life to save me,

we wouldn’t be able to

escape easily.

Princess,

may I ask a question?

You want to ask about Yuwen Huai?

Your Highness’s intention

is to take advantage of him.

However, Princess chose to

let Yuwen Huai escape first today

and put yourself in danger.

Why is that?

You think I might actually fall for him?

You don’t need to worry about that.

Yes, Your Highness.

It is impossible that Her Highness

would fall for Yuwen Huai.

He is capable,

but he is also too cunning.

We can only take advantage of

Yuwen Huai.

He can’t be our friends

or enemy.

We do need Yuwen Huai’s help

to accomplish the plan to play Duke Dingbei and

the Emperpor of the Wei State against each other.

As long as Duke Dingbei is against the Wei State,

in that case,

the fragile balance of power

inside the Wei State

will also be broken.

Then we just need to kill Yan Xun

and no one owns Yanbei.

At that time, those rich lords

will fight against each other to rule Yanbei.

The Wei State will fall apart.

Then we can

benefit from that.

I pity Prince Yan Xun.

He is too young and very handsome.

He probably hasn’t known

he has become the prawn

of the princess

He won't survive after his country broke after all

As for Yuwen Yue

each of our move

is interfered by him

If we don't kill him...

Now

the best time to kill him

hasn't come

A little bit reckless may lead to the failure of the whole plan

Leave him alone for now

So pity that Yuwen Yue

is an arrogant man

If we don't show him

what we are capable of

we'll be despised

Where are the female agents from Liang?

How do you feel

being somewhere familiar?

Happy?

What are you waiting for?

Come out

See who's here?

See who's back?

See. See

In fact, when you asked for

the map last time

I know

you want to kill Yuwen Xi

Right?

You hate him?

Did you make up your mind?

Good

Listen

Yuwen Xi

is an old jerk

an old love-lace

How many beautiful girls

out there

were played and killed by him

He's evil, of the highest level

He is an old rubbish

May Xing'er

kill him successfully

Take his life successfully

Take his life successfully

You shall leave

We all support you

How knightly we are!

Jile Pavilion is tightly guarded

Full of traps

Tell me, how many people you deceived

to kill the old guy with you

One hundred?

A thousand?

No

Ten thousand?

Just me

Just you?

I go killing people

not to some party

I myself is enough

You are not assassinating

You are going suicide

So what?

What so what?

You want to die

I don't want you to die

I don't want you to die

Then

I... I mean

If you die

where could I get

the intelligience of the decree

Take it

How should I use it

Simple

Seduce him

You need to learn it

This is not

the common hair accessory

There is little trick on it

Have a look at it

Because when you go into the pavilion

you cannot take any weapon with you

It's the only thing you can take

By that time

it will be the only tool for you to kill

Do you understand?

Killing Yuwen Xi

is hard enough

And you have to escape

This is not enough

Laughing?

Follow me

You may use this

The folding arch

You'll find

the exit with

the map I gave you

When you find it

you will be on the top floor of the pavilion

Go to the roof and you'll see

all these stuff that

I put there in advance

These stuff will help you out of the guards

Since you can get in yourself

why not take me in

along with you

Because it's extremely dangerous there

I just want to help you

not sacrifice myself

Okay

Another gift, fine?

So generous of you

Many thanks

You are welcome

Since I own so many good stuff here,

take them with you

You have something else good

Give me

Nothing else

You just said you have. Show me

No. No. Nothing

Nothing else, really

You said you have

Show me

Nothing else

Hurry up

Are you done?

I give you these

for free

I got not a cent from you

Are you done？

I found you so shameless

I have no other way

It's you that don't want me to die after all

I

Give me

Just one more gift

Here

See?

Don't know to use it, right?

I know it after one glimpse

Will you be back alive?

Don't worry

I still owe you

the intelligence of the decree

I don't care about you, really

But my mice here

may worry about you

I'm leaving

Take care

Don't forget to bring me the weapon

Tell me when you

set up the date

Your highness

I told you

to go back to Yan with me

Have you made your decision

Yes

Then why didn't you tell me

Prince

is Yan really as beautiful

as you said

Is there really not a slave?

What I told you is all truth

Endless grassland

Running horse

The Xiuli mountain full of flowers

Take your two sisters with you

Come back to Yan with me

You won't be slaves anymore

How's that?

OK, I believe you

That's great

I'll tell you when I

set up the date

Your highness

This way, please

This is the best saddle

in our shop

See？

The dedicate pattern

It's the favorite

for girls in Chang'an

It's the newest

What the nobles girls like

may not be of her taste

This girl

is special

Shopkeeper, please find

me some other good ones

Show them all

to me

Yeah

A new one comes yesterday

You'll like it

Prince, how about this

Pretty good

Only this one can match

that special girl

Wrap it up

Okay

Brother Yan Xun

Chun'er, why are you here

Brother Yan Xun, thank you for

giving me such a

special saddler

I hate the ones

with heavy decorations

The one just now

is exactly of my taste

Thank you for your effort

Brother Yan Xun

Thank you for giving me the saddler

It's really special and beautiful

I think, when I come to the Northern Yan

I'll use it

a lot

Chun'er, the saddler is actually...

Brother Yan Xun

Do you remember the first

saddler you gave me

When did I gave you

another set of horse saddler

Have you forgotten?

When I were ten

I went to the hunt of the royal family

with my brother

and father for the first time

At that time

you brought a saddler remade by yourself

and you forced me to take it

Right?

I remember that day

That day

I almost fell from the horse

Only you

Only you rushed forward

to save me with one move

And there's still a scar

on my leg now

You are long recovered

So

since that day

since then

I decide to ...

Since then

I find that

you are a brave girl

I swear to god

I'll treat you as my sister

You and I grew up together

I swear

I'll protect you

And you'll be my best little sister

Chun'er

I... I almost forgot

In fact

I need to go back to the palace

I have a lot of things to do

I should leave now

Chun'er

Brother Yan Xun

I really have a lot of things to do

I almost forgot them

I am just about to celebrate my grown-up party

I have to choose the clothes

and the hair accessory

I have no time here

to talk with you

I have to go back to the palace

Yeah

The saddler

About the saddler, I'm sorry

I'll let Caiwei to send it back

to your house later on

Goodbye, brother Yan Xun

Princess

Yan Xun

You made Chun'er

cry again

Something is known

better than later

Do you know she'll

be really upset?

Things like this cannot be forced

Did you fall in love with someone else?

Is that Xing 'er at Yuwen Yue'

house?

Yuwen Hua, you came to the palace at midnight

saying there is the sign of good luck

How far should we go

till this sign

Your majesty

The Sibao Mountain is just ahead

Legends are there is a rare stone

with a 100-year-old

pine tree growing from it

That sign could only happen once a hundred year

It signs: Long live

our majesty

Hurry! Hurry up!

Come on

Come on

Stop. Slow down Careful

Push. Push

Push

Slow down

Come on. Careful

Slow down. Slow, slow

Watch out

Watch out

Why are you so annoying just now

We are guilty

Please forgive us

What's that

It's... It

I am asking you

Why not answer me

It's... It

Go check it

Yes

What's that

I dare not to say

It's so irrespective

Wei is dying

Chu will charge the empire

Is this the sign of good luck

you give me?

Please calm down

Bullshit

Please do not be angry

Speak now

Wei Guang

I think

there must be a evil schemer planned it

We should caught him right now

All the farmers and officials

on the river port

should be interviewed and punished

to find the headmaster

And then punish him by the law

An evil schemer?

What?

Don't you think

it's an alarm from the god?

How would the god send

such an ridiculous alarm?

Zhao Gui, what do you think?

I think,

what Mr. Wei said is right

And you?

We think Mr. Wei is right

Then who do you think

is the schemer?

Yuwen Huai

you were with me this whole day

Who

do you think did this?

I am not smart enough to tell

But since someone did it

there must be a goal

and an answer for it

You witnessed it today

So someone must be there

spreading rumors by using

this chance of the lucky sign

If someone believe it

he will go for him

So his army

will be booming

And cause an unnecessary

battle

You really are not smart

Such an easy conclusion

are thought by everyone

Just

you dare to say it

In fact all of us doubt it

Is it a conspiracy

of people

or an alarm from the god?

Dare not

Dare not?

What do you dare not?

Still playing tricks in front of me

The traitors

shall be executed

Please do not be angry

Please calm down

Yan Shicheng

You ungrateful jerk

I trusted him so much

He dared to treat me like this

Your majesty

There is no clear proof now

saying that the lord Dingbei

did this

Maybe someone did it on purpose

to frame him

Your majesty, maybe someone evil planned this

to break the relationship

between us

Someone evil?

If I stopped it today

by this time tomorrow

the deceived people will

be crowed ai the gate of my palace

Please let me be direct

You seldom go out

But you witnessed this incident

Isn't it too accidental?

General Song, what do you mean?

Are you saying

I'm the one behind this

You are too sensitive

That's not what I mean

The Majesty witnessed it today

It shows that His Majesty

is really chosen by God.

General Song, you came from the north,

and had been defending the frontier for three years.

So, you are well acquainted with Duke Dingbei.

I want to warn you that,

you should be aware of your position.

Don't confound right and wrong, and help the evil.

Yuwen Huai,

this incident is still under investigation.

However, you claim that

Duke Dingbei is behind it.

Duke Dingbei has been

guarding Yanbei for years.

He fought Rouran with undivided loyalty.

Further more, he is the sworn brother of His Majesty.

In my opinion,

he won't do it.

I'm confused.

The anwser is quite clear now.

And you are still justifying Duke Dingbei.

Who are you loyal to?

Shut up!

Wei Guang.

Yes, Your Majesty.

What do you think?

I also think that

Duke Dingbei has the greatest suspicion.

How about you, Zhao Gui?

I think that

Duke Dingbei is very suspicious.

He has had intention of rebellion

for a long time.

I won't be surprised

if he does something treacherous.

Master Zhao, I'd like to hear

when you get the information

of Duke Dingbei's intention of rebellion.

Do you have any proof?

Why don't you share it with us?

Say it!

oops!

Deliver my order:

arrest rebel Yan Shicheng.

Also,

Wei Guang and Yuwen Huai,

you capture Yan Xun.

Everyone that is on the riverbank

must be killed.

If anyone

gives away

what happened today,

kill him.

Yes, Your Majesty.
