Episode Eighteen

Xing'er.

Xing'er.

Young Master.

Sorry to let you down.

Stupid girl.

You can't handle well

what I told you to do.

When you leave me,

don't say that I'm your teacher.

(Sound of gasping)

There was somebody who

tried to kill you just now.

You are the one that caused my trouble.

What? Are you protesting?

If so,

why don't you kill me when we are in the cave?

I want to, but I dare not.

Dare not?

I don't think so.

As the spy of the Eyes of God,

the worst thing is to act by yourself.

When you get the information

of the spy of Liang,

you should report it to me,

and wait for my orders.

There's not enough time

for me to report.

You followed me there first.

Alright.

You got hurt. Go back and have some rest.

If you have anything to report,

wait until I return to

the House.

Yes.

Young Master is here.

Young Master

Where is Yueqi?

We found the track of Liang Spy.

Yueqi brought some people to

follow the trail to the Red Hills Court.

The Red Hills Court...

You hurry to the Red Hills Court.

Yes.

Young Master, I will also go.

Didn't you hear what I was saying?

You go home and rest.

Your dishes.

How many people will I serve, please?

Like dream, like bubble.

Like dream, like bubble.

Sister, how are you feeling?

I'm fine, don't worry.

(Sound of knocking)

Xing'er.

This medicine is sent from Young Master.

It can cure your injuries.

Sister.

These medicine are really expensive.

Young Master is being so nice to you.

Sister is so lucky.

Unlike me, no one cares about me.

Xiaoba.

This is the ointiment that will cure your scar.

Young Master let me bring it as well.

Young Master gives medicine to me.

Please send my gratitude to Young Master.

Farewell.

I have no idea that Young Master Yue

has such great power.

How can he know everything?

It's good, though.

My sisters

will be restored to health soon.

Sister,

I'm going to decocte medicinal herbs for you.

I'm going

try my medicine.

Chu Qiao.

My name is Chu Qiao.

I'm not a member of Jings.

Luo He.

My mother.

Who is one that killed her?

Young Master.

How come that grandfather collapses suddenly?

Master knows that

Young Master saved Xing'er.

He's so angry that he collapses.

Who tells him that?

Young Master.

Master told me that

he didn't want to see anyone.

Open the door.

The...

the Eyes of God.

I won't ruin it.

The Eyes of God.

The Eyes of God.

I won't ruin it.

The Eyes of God.

I won't ruin it.

Zhao, Qian, Sun, Li,

Zhou, Wu, Zheng, Wang,

come home for the lunch.

You do nothing but fool around.

Zuo Baocang,

are you pretending not to find out

that your old friend is here?

Dong Fangji.

You are really at leisure, Zuo Baocang.

Why are you here?

It's so unlucky.

There is no good at all

every time I meet you.

Why didn't you stay at Yanbei to assist the Duke Yanbei,

but came to Chang'an alone?

I'm kind of tired of staying at Yanbei,

so I just came out for some little sightseeing..

Sightseeing?

I could still remember clearly

that after your last little sightseeing,

Luo He was assasinated.

Do you come back to

help the Prince Yan to escape away?

I hope you won't get involved into this.

Otherwise, I don't know who will die.

You have some misunderstanding about me.

No.

I don't have any misunderstanding about you.

If I could choose,

I would rather choose

that I hadn't got to know you at all.

(Sound of laughing)

Hadn't got to know me.

You would have been dead

if you didn't know me at all.

How could you get chance

to live here for so many years?

Just tell me, who did you offend again?

Your store

has been smashed into a big mess.

Does it matter?

Does it matter to you?

You can just give me straight what you need from me.

How about the person

I asked you to investigate?

I have got some clue.

Let's take a look.

Okay. Okay. Okay.

I just found a little girl recently,

and there is a wood bead with her,

which is the one you made by yourself

and is the one Luo He used to wear on.

How old is she?

16 or 17 years old.

Did you investigate her?

Yes.

But it's too shame

that she has a memory loss.

So she couldn't remember

what happened bofere.

It's too shame.

Memory loss?

Hou about her martial art?

She doesn't have any inner power,

and the martial art is different from you.

Did she

hide that on purpose?

Do you really think that a little girl

can hide that when she was between life and death?

Where is she right now?

Where is she?

Do you really think

that I will tell you that now?

Will she still be alive

if I tell you?

Just be at ease.

Just be at ease.

I will find it out clearly for you.

If she is really the little killer

who assasinated Luo He,

I will certainly

give the kid to you.

If she is not.

If she is not,

how about that?

If she is not,

I will protect her with my life.

Zhongyu.

Why are you here?

Royal highness, the Duke send me here

to pick you.

What happened?

It's been long time,

I have missed you so much.

I have been getting old and sick, so I'm looking forward your coming home.

However, I am aware that you are the gust

and if you leave Chang'an openly,

the emperor must be angry about it.

So I just send Zhongyu

to help you come home secretly.

So this will relief me from the suffering of missing my son.

Did my father want me to come back to Yanbei with you?

It was so sudden,

I hope Royal highness can understand

the painstaking efforts of the Duke,

and work well with me.

What did my father think?

I'm the gusest,

and I will commit a felony to leave.

If I really come back,

the emperor will condemn

the whole Yanbei.

Then will father send me

back to Chang'an

or fight with Chang'an?

Royal highness,

I'm afraid that the emperor of Wei

will declare that your father wants to rebel

even if you don't come back to Yanbei.

Is it so urgent?

It's still alright.

The Duke still has the military leadership

to protect himself.

But if you are in the hand of the emperor,

even the Duke has the military power,

his life will be handled by somebody else.

So as long as you come back to Yanbei,

the Duke doesn't have the fear of disturbance in the rear,

then he can attack or defense as he will.

Furthermore,

if the emperor losses the thing

which can contain the Duke,

he will held himself a little bit.

Royal highness, time is running out.

I hope you can make the decision as soon as possible.

I will come back to Yanbei with you,

but I will bring aother one with us.

Who?

A girl.

I have promised her.

So just give me some days,

she will come back to Yanbei with me.

Royal highness.

There are so many spies around you,

and your Palace is under the surveillance.

You have to make a good plan about leaving Chang'an.

If the secret gets leak,

Royal highness, we will be beset with

huge crisis.

Don't worry.

She is just an ordinary girl,

and won't leak anything.

Besides,

everyone knows

that I will come back to Yanbei

after the rite of passage of the Princess Chun'er.

We just leave

a little bit ahead of the time.

In that case,

I will make all the arrangment as soon as possible.

I hope you can let the Duke know it

so he can feel at ease.

It's an emergency.

Deliver it as soon as possible.

Don't worry,

I will send it out at once.

Sir,

I saw a person from the Liang State just now

outside the House of the guest

who replaced the guest's letter.

It all happens as you with.

The rest of the things

are all depends on you.

I'm going back to Yanbei

to deliver this letter

to Yan Shicheng by myself

Each weapon here is a good one.

No matter which one I take out,

it is sharp enough to kill Yuwen Xi.

Your Young Master, here is the letter

sent from Duke Dingbei to his son.

When you are stealing the letter,

was Yan Xun appear unusual?

He noticed nothing.

Why did they steal the letter?

If the Emperor see this letter,

Yanbei will get into big trouble.

I should replace it with a normal greeting letter

when it was sent to the Emperor.

May the move help Yanbei avoid a disaster.

Deliver this letter

to the Emperor right now.

Yes.

Sir, Master has something important to discuss with you.

Go

Why would Yuwen Yue

replace Yan Xun's letter from home.

Your Young Master, trainings today

are a little different from the usual trainings.

What are the differences?

It seems that

I could learn some actual skills

used in real battle.

You look impatient.

During the latest battle

with the spy from the Liang State,

if it wasn't you

who came to save me...

I know that I'm incompetence,

so I want to learn more skills.

You are just a girl,

why do you have so strong desire to excel over others?

It's because that I'm a spy.

If I can't learn more actual skills,

it kind of showing that,

your Young Master, you are not a good trainer.

You become bolder recently.

I just can gradually

speak to you frankly and sincerely.

Don't you want to hear the faithful words?

Take back your sincerity.

I don't want to listen to it.

Then you must be a wise man.

All right.

I'm going to teach you

how to kill a man secretly

from a hundred miles away.

this is a crossbow that can be folded.

It is portable

and light with a high fire rate.

In a flash,

it can fire six arrows in quick succession.

It is invincible.

The crossbow is yours now.

Six arrows in quick succession,

What if fire six arrows,

the enemy still alive?

What should I do?

It means,

you are encountering a greatest master in the world.

Have you ever heard about ice arrow?

Ice arrow?

Is it used only by young master yourself?

Just a weapon, everyone can use it.

The key is

whether he can control it.

To control ice arrow,

you must possess good body position

and skills.

It is differ from regular arrows.

I will teach you stick by stick.

The essential is

using your lumbar strength.

Understand?

Yes.

Good.

Then you do it by your own.

The ice arrow was made of cold ice.

After it was fired,

it will melt.

When it comes to its goal,

remaining

the arrowhead only.

It kills people without seeing it,

and it is formidable.

Mr. Duke,

I'm so sorry not knowing you're coming.

I have heard that you backed home,

so I came specially to see you.

Thank you very much, Mr. Duke.

How is everything going?

Anything wrong?

All is well.

To be honestly,

I want to ask you something.

There is a letter,

take it and have a look at it.

Do you think

it is Xun'er's handwriting?

The people of Liang state wrote it.

The people of Liang state.

Exactly.

In Chang'an, I saw

that they replaced the letter of Prince.

They planned to seduce you into the capital.

and let the Emperor

kill you.

So that a war between Yanbei and the Wei State will start.

But the Prince has already noticed

the purpose of the spy of Liang state,

and asked me to bring another letter to you.

Xun'er.

Where is it? How come?

Here.

What's wrong? Mr. Duke?

I'm afraid that

something has happened on Xun'er.

How come?

In this letter, Xun'er worried about my back injury,

besides,

he said he has found a highly-skilled doctor,

and will soon sent him to Yanbei

to give me a treatment.

It is a secret signal

between me and Xun'er.

It means that

Xun'er's life is at stake,

and he needs help.

How did that happen?

They

push too far indeed.

I will go to Chang'an

right now.

Mr. Duke, think about it twice.

As long as I ask the Emperor's permission in advance,

and be open and aboveboard.

What can they do about me?

In my opinion,

Since we are going to Chang'an,

we have to make a well preparation for that.

Prepare troops and horses in case of emergency.

In Chang'an,

if the Emperor wants to kill me,

I will be dead.

All right.

Hiding myself and getting along

are enough for me.

I will write a letter at once.

Help me sent it to Chang'an

and to the Emperor.

Tell him,

I, Yan Shicheng, is coming.

If he want to kill me,

so do it.

But,

stay away from my son.

Master,

I am lucky

to have you stand by my side.

I place a great deal of faith in you.

Mr. Duke,

the Emperor has suspected you so much,

don't you have any plan

to replace him?

I have told you so many times,

in my whole life,

I can hide from him

or play at him,

but in any case

I will never against him.

Well, I am going to prepare immediately.

You are not a competent Emperor.

You don't deserve this.

(The sound of the Emperor's screaming.)

Anybody, anybody.

- Emperor. - Anybody.

Anybody.

Emperor.

Imperial concubine. Imperial concubine.

Emperor.

Look at me.

Is my head still on my neck?

You don't worry.

It's just a dream, it's not true.

It's too terrible.

I dreamed that

Yan Shicheng cut my head down,

and hung it on the wall of Yanbei.

It's okay now.

Forget it.

Put down the ginseng soup and get out.

Yes.

There, there. Emperor.

Emperor. Don't be worried.

Yan Shicheng. He dare not.

I

must kill him.

I say must.

Okay, only if he had the desire for against you,

even it happens in a dream,

he is unforgivable.

No.

I need the evidence.

I need the proof of his rebellion.

You go to

ask Yuwen Yue

and his fellow to find.

Let someone find out the evidence.

Okay.

Find the evidence.

All right, Emperor,

I will help you reduce your worries.

I am going to order them.

Report!

Your Majesty.

A confidential letter from Yuwen Yue.

A letter from home,

and it is useless.

You go to check out

what Yuwen Huai is doing.

Yes.

Sir, I guess this is the memorial to the throne

from the Duke.

It supposed to be sent immediately.

Jiang He,

if a man has no dreams,

what is the difference between him and a monster.

Master said that I am a dishonest and calculating person.

And I am not appropriate for studying the art of assist the Emperor.

But I have a very skillful hands,

my hands

could make me

a legendary handicraftsman.

However, in my life,

I am not satisfied with being a handicraftsman.

Sir, I think you could

Ten years.

It took me ten years.

Yan Shicheng

is not the person that I looking for.

Jiang He,

Pack up our luggage.

Yanbei,

We will never come back.

Every kinds of weapon

has its own advantages

and disadvantages.

According to the different battle occasions,

you should pick up the most appropriate weapon.

(Sound of drawing the sword.)

If the weapon

were used in an improper way,

its strongest power

would not be expressed.

Young Master,

in some special situations,

when I have no weapons,

what should I do to defeat the enemy?

Who told you

only using weapon that you can kill people?

It depends on if you have

the ability of flexibility.

Now,

I am going to teach you some

necessary skills of

a spy of the Eyes of God delivering letters.

Follow me.

Look at this. What can you tell?

The confidential letter of a spy of the Eyes of God

must be disposed specially.

Or the message would be leaked.

This

is the developing powder.

The other

is the disappearing powder.

These two bottles of powder

are all yours now.

One day you would need them.

Thank you very much.

Seventh sister, have you done yet?

Yes, yes.

The butler had said that

we should clean the anteroom.

Just one second.

What is the sixth sister doing in these days?

She is mysterious,

and seldom to be seen.

Sister, you came back.

Are you hungry?

I prepared food for you.

I am not hungry, but a little tired.

All right.

Sixth sister is so incredible.

Nothing happened to her.

If we late for the cleaning,

something bad will happen to us.

Let's go, quickly.

Sister, don't forget to eat.

If you were in danger,

go to Yanbei to find Mr. Wu.

He would protect you.

Also he would answer your questions.

Yanbei.

Young Master.

Young Master.

Young...

It's weird.

Where's Yue Qi?

Master.

You made this urgent call for me.

Do you have some instructions?

How come that

rounding up spies from the Liang State failed?

Sorry, I'm slack in my work.

Yuwen Zhuo is still alive.

I use the trick of feign death

to hide the truth from people.

It doesn't mean that

I don't care about

the matter of The Eyes of God.

You have to be more careful

in future actions.

Yue Qi understands.

Please forgive me.

What is the next plan

of Yue'er?

On the one hand, Young Master

let people haunt

spies from the Liang State in the whole city.

On the other hand, he arranges for

the best hidden spy of

The Eyes of God

to keep watch on Yuwen Huai.

His Young Master hopes to find

the evidence that he is working with

the spies from the Liang State.

Good. As soon as you discover something,

we shall let Xing'er be the spy of sacrifice

according to the original plan.

The spy of sacrifice?

After this mission,

I shall send her to the Liang State as a spy.

It's likely that she will die there.

Master,

so Xing'er is going to die?

Yue'er trained her

in order to make her

useful against the enemies

in crucial times.

The spy of sacrifice.
