Episode Sixteen

These are the desserts made by Bai Sheng.

How do you like it?

It reminds me

of her youth.

Why can't people

keep their innocence?

Why are they so clever

after growing up?

She thinks I won't know

She did all this

just for her son!

Majesty.

I think

Bai Sheng shouldn't stay in

Chang'an anymore.

No.

Bai Sheng has to stay in Chang'an.

Her son

also needs to stay in Chang'an.

If you do so,

there will be only disadvantages, no advantages.

You will only arouse his suspicions in doing so.

Make sense.

Keeping Bai Sheng staying here,

Yan Shicheng will take precautions.

Desperate fight is the worst way.

Only by sending Bai Sheng back,

will Yan Shicheng relax

his vigilance.

Only my Princess Fairy can share my misgivings.

Carry out my edict,

send Bai Sheng back to Yanbei.

Yes, sir.

The less, the better.

Mother,

you just arrived Chang'an few days ago,

why you need to go back so soon?

This is the order from Majesty.

I have no choice.

After I leave,

you need to be careful.

Don't worry, mother.

I have lived here since childhood,

so engaging in social activities is a handy.

You don't need to worry.

But,

you need to advise my father.

Majesty is skeptical,

and my father controls the military authority.

My father has already been frightened by Majesty.

There is no need to show his loyalty.

Only to take charge of the military,

take control of the whole Yanbei,

can he keep the safety of Yanbei.

Never lend a ready ear to slander,

and stay in line.

A long road can test the power of a horse,

and a person's heart can be detected from the long days.

Whether we are loyal or not,

Majesty could tell.

If we could struggle through this period,

everything is gonna be fine.

On that day,

Xun'er, you have grown up.

If you want to survive

in this dangerous Chang'an city,

how could you be a child all along.

I didn't plan to tell you this,

because I was afraid of your performance

would be too obvious if you knew it,

and it would be told by others.

Since you understand everything,

I feel relieved.

Mother, just take it easy.

As long as you and my father

are safe in Yanbei,

I could be safe in the capital.

Someday, I will go back to Yanbei.

Madam Yan, we need to go.

Xun'er, take your favorite girl

together back to Yanbei

as soon as possible.

The work of the spy of the Eyes of God,

includes collecting intelligence,

wiretapping and surveillance,

lurking and assassination,

protecting and guarding.

Collecting intelligence

requires to be thoughtful.

Wiretapping and surveillance

requires to have the sharp sense.

Xing'er understood.

Latter two need greatest martial arts,

You being a girl,

know nothing about Kungfu,

so I have to concern

if you are qualified.

Young Master doesn't need to be worry.

Xing'er believes,

under Young Master's teaching,

Xing'er will become the best

spy of the Eyes of God.

Easier said than done.

Only have the ambition, but not the ability,

will be doomed to fail.

Xing'er understood.

Had crossed the Yellow River,

and with the waves crashing on the shore,

the time when sly wave is deceitful to cloud,

I saw a small sandbar.

There are Spring willows budding,

and wild flowers in full bloom.

Railing overlooking,

I felt peaceful.

Hope you in the turbulent days,

can find the shelter with hope,

to share that happy moment.

In the turbulent days,

it is difficult to find a shelter with hope.

I want to be a rock,

although the river flows,

I will stand still.

Although the leaf falls,

I still have the place to stay.

Master, the Young master has arrived.

Young master, please.

Why did grandfather

ask to see me?

I have thought about it for the whole night,

although I suspect Yuwen Xi is the mole,

I have no evidence.

If I take the actions,

it will only wake a sleeping dog.

Now our foremost enemies

are still the spies from the Liang state.

The spies from the Liang state are everywhere.

This time they come here,

I think is not only for

The Eyes of God.

What do you mean?

If they come here only

for The Eyes of God.

If a mission failed, they are supposed to evacuate.

But they are still

hiding in the Chang'an city.

Obviously, they have backward trick.

If the Liang state really

wants to trigger a bloody carnage

in this world.

The first thing

is to have Yanbei

into enemies with the Liang state.

So we and the spies from the Liang state,

are really in this battle,

the fast win.

You are right.

Yue‘er,

the edge you made,

should be put into practice.

But this event is important.

The spies from the Liang state this time,

are not ordinary people.

Besides, Xing'er have been trained only for a short time,

if we send her to execute this mission,

I am afraid that it will backfire.

Sophistry！ Sophistry！

It's obvious you are being selfish.

The duty of The Eyes of God,

and the fortune of the Wei state

compared with the life of that cheap maidservant,

which one is important?

Yue'er just

Yue Qi asks to see.

Come in.

Young Master,

Yue Qi let you down,

the spies from the Liang state took a preparedness

I and the guards of Yue

didn't get access to any information.

Send Xing'er there.

She is freshman, with unfamiliar face.

It will be difficult to tell her martial arts.

so she has more chances than them.

If she fails,

that will prove

she has no talent to become the spy of the Eyes of God.

Then, The Green Hills Court

costs nothing.

Ok.

Young Master,

with Xing'er 's ability,

to execute this mission

wouldn't it be too dangerous?

You follow her secretly,

once something happened,

it will depend on her capability.

Yes, sir.

You are waiting for me.

Young Master, Xing'er just arrived.

I want to know, when can we

start my training?

These days,

you have learned

some basic knowledge,

but these are far from enough.

If you want to be the best

spy of the Eyes of God,

you need to learn from the actual combat.

What you mean is that

you are giving me new mission?

But this mission,

is a little bit difficult.

Young master, you don't need to worry.

Xing'er could understand.

You train Xing'er

is to make Xing'er the useful

edge of Young master,

and be put into use

when you need.

Last time, in the secret passage of the

Tower of the Eyes of God,

do you remember

the spy from the Liang state

who fought with you?

I will send you to follow them,

to bug news.

Do you have the confidence?

Of course, I have.

Xing'er could use this opportunity

to strengthen my ability.

If you could complete

the mission successfully,

you could take the assassination course.

This is the wiretapping equipment

The Eyes of God have studied for years.

Wen Jin.

This is another flight engine,

Bamboo-copter.

Princess.

News from Yanbei.

Yan Shicheng sent an ace

to come to Chang'an.

Who did he send?

A women.

Women.

As what I have learned,

Women who possesses best martial arts in Yanbei,

is Zhong Yu.

Did she come alone?

Probably not.

The house of the guest

are occupied by some people quietly,

and according to their accent and shape,

they may come from Yanbei.

Obviously under the leadership of Zhong Yu.

What did Zhong Yu want to do?

She seems to ran around

in the black market secretly,

to purchase something.

She asks around where

Zuo Baocang lives.

Zuo Baocang.

Yan Xun wants to escape.

We couldn't let him escape.

But we are limited

with Yuwen Yue being here.

We couldn't do anything.

Put them away.

Yes, princess.

Soon this Yuwen Yue,

will have no time to attend to the matter.

Once our little bunny,

rises to the bait,

We will send them to death,

in the

Charismatic Soldier Shop.

Nowadays,

most of our hidden guard are damaged.

we suffered heavy losses and lacked in weapons.

We urgently need to buy a lot of weapons.

Is there any place in Chang'an

where we can buy weapons

secretly?

Of course,

besides weapons,

Kei Mun Tun Kap, information of the underworld.

maps of noble family and sharp weapons.

As long as you have the money,

you can buy anything.

Who is he?

Zuo Baocang.

Kei Mun Tun Kap, and maps of noble family.

Sharp weapons.

So if we find this person,

we could enter the Jile Pavilion

unnoticed.

Little Prince,

how many times did I tell you

do not eat my salt fish?

Be good.

May I ask you

if you are Zuo Baocang?

Yes.

I am the casual and elegant bearing

as said in legend,

shopkeeper, Mr. Zuo.

What's up, girl?

What do you want to buy?

Salt fish, meat

or rice?

Everything you want.

I can give you the discount

since you are

so beautiful.

I will appreciate.

Salt fish, meat and rice.

I don't need.

I want this.

Weapons.

All right.

But you find the wrong place.

I don't sell that.

Wait.

Zhong Yu, under Yan Shicheng.

Please.

Please.

(Beggar's begging)

Mistress, please.

Mistress.

A wise head

makes a close mouth

Mr. Zuo.

Since you know this,

you should also know

I am not an ordinary person.

What?

We just come straight to the point.

Ok, I see.

The time you walked in

I could feel,

you are not of the common run.

You are certainly not a piece of work.

You may be five pieces of work,

or even six.

Just sit.

What kinds of stuff do you want and at which price?

I want the best, money doesn't matter.

My sister,

you are so

generous.

But, I am afraid that my small shop

Mr. Zuo is doing big business.

I shouldn't constrain you to something

that are beyond your power.

Swords, spears, two-edged swords and halberds,

all kinds of ancient weapons, I want fifty series.

How many?

Fifty.

My girl,

what do you want to do

for these?

To raise an army?

To rebel?

We are not going to rebel.

We are afraid of someone

who are going to frame us rebelling.

I have so many distinguished guests today.

It seems that my small shop

will have a blast today.

This level of Kungfu,

are you seeking death?

What message your master asked you to leave?

No wonder you are the master of The Green Hills Court

My Princess lets me to tell you

Young Master Yue gave her a big gift,

she would take away your

maidservant' life first as the interest.

The bigger one will come later.

Please be patient.

Young Master.

(Sound of fighting)

Five Liang.

Ten Liang.

Twenty Liang.

This is the most expensive.

This costs fifty Liang.

Miss Tao Ye,

I don't care if you fight,

but why chose my shop,

and damaged my stuffs.

Shut up!

My dear God!

This is the antique I just bought this year.

I don't want to keep the store anymore.

Five hundreds liang,

then you can take this store.

You can smash everything or burn everything

as you want.

Okay. It's a deal.

Just get out here now.

Let's call it a deal.

Where is Xing'er?

Inside.

Okay, gather all the guards of Yue.

Yes.

You...

Who allowed to come inside with me?

Fine. Just smash it,

smash them all.

You are going to pay for

the everything smashed by you to me.

Five thousand liang. Fifty thousand liang

Both of you will give me the compensation.

Master Yue.

It's not wise enough

to risk your own life

just to save a humble maidservant.

The Princess, we made it.

They really got into it.

Really?

Actually, I just had 50% confidence

to complete the task before this.

There are countless lovers

in this world.

But only few of them

will sacrifice their own levies

to save each other.

I really didn't expect

that Yuwen Yue are willing to

risk his own life

for a maidservant.

He is the inheritor of The Eyes of God,

and the grandson of the first branch of the Yuwen Family,

but he just falls in love with a maidservant.

Even if he survives today,

he will come to no good end some day.

They are just like Romeo and Juliet.

We kind of helped them.

Let's go.

(Sound of the lantern dropping)

The dragon-killing stone is down.

Yuwen Yue couldn't fly away even if he had wings.

He will be frozen to dried meat long before

the people of the Yuwen Family come here,

put out the fire

and dig all the stones out to get inside.

Let's go.

Yes.

Don't say that I haven't

warned you two before.

That thing is the dragon-killing stone.

It weighs more than two thousand jin.

You can't move it at all

no matter how good you are.

Just preserve the vigour.

Are you with them?

No.

I'm not with them.

It's so obvious,

can't you tell it?

Obviously, they just wanted to

take advantage of my place

and use you to fool him to come here,

then he will end up be trapped to death.

To be honest,

the poorest man

in the whole thing should be me.

In the sunny afternoon,

I was just taking noon break in the store.

All of sudden, a couple of women just broke in,

and smashed my store.

I got out there with great difficulty.

But now, I have to wait to die

with you young lovers

at this place.

I don't want this.

What young lovers are you talking about?

Just take a look,

I am the maidservant

and he is my Young Master.

I'm sorry for that.

I, I just made some mistakes

He is the Young Mother.

I mean Young Master, Young Master.

And you are maidservant.

Your Young Master is very good.

He was willing to meet his fate here

to save you, the little maidservant.

He must be the good man for nine generations.

I really admire you.

It's good.

Is there another way out

in this cave?

No.

This is the place I leave with

all my treasures and good weapons.

No.

Will you build a back door

at the treasure-room

in your own house?

Why did you put the dragon-killing stone

in your treasure-room?

These are precious treasures.

Is it any problem

for some rich guy like me

to get some self-protection?

So right now, it didn't protect you

but trap you here instead,

did it?

Is it a shame for you

to say something like this?

How could I be trapped here

if it were not for you two?

I would rather to be beat to death

than to be trapped here.

Did you think it was interesting to say something like this?

You said that you didn't know

the two women at all.

Then how could they know

here is the dragon-killing stone?

You know, as a man.

We are always casual and elegant bearing.

You know...

Tao Ye.

You have already seen

Miss Tao Ye is really beautiful.

In the previous years,

she often came to my store

to buy some stuffs.

- So we are kind... - Lothario.

You can even tell somebody else

with the secrete

about your own life.

You deserve to be trapped here.

I'm happy to do that. It's none of your business.

At least, I'm better than him.

He just came here to seek his doom for you

without figuring out

what matter is with you.

You...

I just dodge it.

Let's go and search here again.

What happened?

Young Master is in trouble.

What?

Let's go.

Go.

Stay close and stop talking.

Where are you taking us to?

She is so verbose.

Who is verbose?

You.

I just knew it.

There will be no good

to meet you spies.

How did you know we are spies?

The sword you are holding is Canhong Jian,

which means you are

the spy of the Eyes of God.

And his sword is PoYue Jian.

The swords you two use

are lovers swords.

And you told me

that you are not lovers.

I just didn't want to expose you.

Now do you think it's fun to make me do it?

How awaked we are.

Besides this,

the girl who came in here a moment ago

was using the Chiyu Jian.

She should be the Zhong Yu from Yanbei.

The girl who came later

was using the Skyshadow Sleeves.

She played it well very.

If I'm not wrong,

She should be the high rank spy

in the spies of the Liang State.

It turned out you recognize persons

by the weapons they use

but not by their faces.

How could you be so sure

about your recognization?

There are two things

that can never fool my eyes

in this world.

One is the weapon,

and the other one is woman.

What a braggart you are.

(Sound of screaming)

Watch out.

(Sound of screaming)

Please don't hurt me.

Please don't hurt me.

I had nothing to do with what happened at that time.

No, don't hurt me.

No.

Yuwen Xi.

I just can't bear to see

how cowardly and timid you are.

The Princess of the Liang State.

It's lucky for you that your eyes don't grow dim.

I didn't expect that the Princess come here.

If you had got everything done well,

why is it necessary for me to come here in person?

Yuwen Xi.

The map of the building of the Eyes of God

you gave to us was not complete,

which almost made our plan fail.

It's not my fault.

I have given you everything I got.

I'm just a useless old man,

and additctd to wine and women.

I really, really

got no more informantion.

Since you are aware

that you are useless,

and then keep your hand off

all the stuff of the Red Hills Court.

Just stay well at

your tender world,

and never

show up again.

So what the Princess is saying

is I will not take care of anything.

The Princess let me to give a warn

to Old Mr. Yuwen

Don't hurt me, don't hurt me.

No, don't hurt me.

If Yuwen Yue of the Green Hills Court

knows that the death of his mother...

I will keep my nose clean and be a useless man

from now on.

- Get out of the way. - You can't go inside.

- Old Mr. Xi - Back off.

is taking a rest inside.

Grandfather.

Grandfather.

What's wrong with you?

I will take care of nothing

about the stuff of the Red Hills Court since now.

Come on, come here. Here we are

We are here finally.

Come out, everyone. Come out.

Come out.

Make yourself at home.

My dear babies,

do you miss me?

Feel free to do anything,

just make yourself at home.

Come here, come here, Little Qianqian.

Little Qianqian.

What's matter with you?

Why didn't you have a good meal

while I'm not here?

It's not good.

Come here, come here, eat more.

They really like it.

Look, how cute they are.

It's alright, it's alright.

You can leave when you finish your meal.

Look at them.

How cute they are.

Do you think

that they are super adorable?

I were just sitting well at home,

but the disaster just came from the sky.

I have almost got killed.

What are you doing?

Take a nap.

How could you take the nap

while you are aware the situation right now?

Why don't you just take us out of here?

Didn't you pay attention to what I said?

How many times do I have to tell you

there is no way out?

Why do you so rush?

You have to use your brain in all things.

Aren't you worried that nobody will come to save us

with virtue of his status?

Just be at ease.

Somebody will come to

save us out soon.

Save us all.

There is a good news

I would like to let you know.

This place is full of

rice, oil, salt and meat.

It can support three of us

to live for more than half year.

It's a good news, isn't it?

I will go to sleep.

You can just make yourself at home.

I always sleep like a log.

PoYue Jian

belongs to the head of

the Eyes of God,

which means

he must be the heritor

of the Yuwen Family.

But for saving you,

the little maid, he chose to risk his life.

He is so wretched.

In my opinion, the Yuwen Family

is get worse over generations.

Shut up.

Young Master.

What?

Aren't you working out a way out?

They went out of their way

to trap us in this place.

They must have some conspiracy.

Just as he said, there is no way out.

Do you believe him?

What could we do if I don't believe him?

Look at him, he is sleeping deeply right now,

and doesn't worry that

we will take his treasure out,

which means

we couldn't find the way out on our own.

We can force him to tell the truth.

Did you see any food here?

This cave extends in all directions,

and it's very easy to get lost.

If we push him,

and he refuses to submit even unto death,

and refuses to give us food,

we won't survive for three day.

Then we just wait here, do we?

What else should we do?
