If you can't keep your words, you will die. Rembert that

Yes.

Yue Wei, walk the guest out.

Don't, don't leave me behind.

Don't leave me behind.

Yue Qi, bring Xing'er into the sanctum.

Young Master.

This girl has been hurt so badly.

There is no way to save her back.

Her life is up to me.

Yes.

Master, I will figure out

Refuse the governing of imperial guards

I promised Young Master Yue

I wouldn’t kill anyone about his condition.

Otherwise,

Young Master Yue will punish me.

(Man screaming)

OK. I will tell the truth.

I will.

Young Master Yue was beaten by a snake.

I gave him some medicine.

Then I left.

It is all I know.

You are telling the truth?

Of course. Of course.

You are

useless now.

Sometimes, killing can

help people forget the pain and suffering temporarily.

The Frost Nova I am teaching you

has massive inner power

which you can’t control right now.

Remember to combine it with

the Internal Organs Heart Formulas I taught you.

Horn your skills daily.

Young Master, how is she?

Young Master.

I am blind.

Young Master, why did you sacrifice so?

It’s only temporary.

She is just a maid.

Even now, you still think she is just a maid?

She is extraordinary

and has talents and potentials others don’t.

She is extremely perceptive

and adaptable.

That’s why

She is just like Jin Zhu.

They both are the most likely suspects.

As for Xiaoqi,

she is not the mastermind behind this.

Maybe I overthought it.

The reason why you saved Xing’er

is to find the suspect.

Pressure them hard.

Let Jin Zhu confront her.

See which one of them

can makes the other give herself away.

Yes, sir.

Xiaoba,

is it you who brought the snakes in?

Why are you so stupid? Why did you do this?

I must take revenge for Brother Linxi.

Both You and Sixth Sister seem to forget about it,

but I haven’t.

Listen.

There is only one way for you to survive.

Blaming our Sixth Sister

for everything.

No.

Why?

It was she who always wanted to take revenge,

but you were the one actually did it.

Don’t you get it?

I shall take full responsibility.

I can’t implicate Sixth Sister.

Listen. Seventh Sister.

Our Sixth Sister is not one of our siblings.

We are truly sisters.

We are the only bloodline of the Jing.

Understood?

(Girl yelling)

I don’t want you to go through this,

but you are my daughter.

You need to face it sooner or later.

I don’t want to see when the time comes

you are incapable of protecting yourself.

Remember. No matter how hard life is,

even if you are inglorious,

you need to stay strong and survive.

Only in that way

can you have a future.

Young Master,

I saw you were beaten by a snake,

I had no other choice

but to hurt you.

Young Master, please forgive me.

I think you intended to kill me,

but Yue Qi’s appearance

changed your mind.

That was why you saved me, right?

Young Master,

I only wanted to save me. That was all.

Could you please not put me in the wrong?

I think you just don’t have the ability to kill me.

When you can,

whether you will kill me

to take revenge for your brother?

Would you?

Of course not, Young Master.

I know you have a

keen insight into matters.

Could you please trust me?

I can’t tell what is on your mind.

Someone please come.

Interrogate Xing’er.

Yes, sir.

What’s wrong with his eyes?

Tell me, who brought in the snakes?

Young Master,

I know who did this.

It was Xing’er.

What is your proof?

Because you know snakes dare not to be near fire.

And only you

can remain calm while surrounded by snakes.

Who else could it be?

What a ridiculous reasoning.

Sister Jin Zhu,

You meant

I was the murder

because I saved Young Master?

Let me ask you this then.

Which was my true intention,

killing him or saving him?

Shut up.

(Sound of Jade breaking)

Generally speaking, females are afraid of snakes.

Why are you so different?

Young Master, I am not a princess.

I am a maid.

Young Master,

I have worked in the steppe for years.

I could even eat mouse if I had to,

let alone snakes.

Which means,

your sisters are not afraid of snakes either?

Bring Xiaoqi and Xiaoba here.

Sixth Sister.

My sisters have nothing to do with this.

Why did you restrain them?

Xiaoqi.

You were prowling around Young Master’s courtyard.

Tell the truth now. Did you bring in the snakes?

It has nothing to do with my Seventh Sister.

It…

It was me.

I did it all alone.

It has nothing to do with my Sixth Sister.

Xing’er,

your sister already confessed.

Young Master,

Xiaoqi has been furtive recently.

I found it quite unusual.

Turns out she wanted to kill you using snakes.

Xiaoqi.

Why are you so stupid?

Why did you confess to something

you did not do?

Xiaoqi had no authority to

go into the inner room.

Even if she has some uncanny ability,

she still can’t bring so many snakes

into your room by some magic tricks.

She is not allowed in the inner room,

but she has a sister

who is the personal attendant to the Young Master.

You are free to go in the inner room.

If I really want to bring in snakes,

do I need help from Xiaoqi?

Sister Jin Zhu,

I am rather curious

why you have noticed

Xiaoqi’s unusual behaviours for days?

How dare you.

Xiaoqi. Speak up.

I… I…

I was looking for something.

Xing’er,

you are her sister.

You must know what she was looking for, right?

Of course.

Young Master, Xing’er was looking for a handkerchief.

I lost it in your study a few days ago.

Because my sisters and I

has lost a lot of family members.

The handkerchief

was given us by our late mother

as a sign of comfort.

Stupid sister,

if you have already lost something,

it’s fine even if you can’t find it.

As long as we remember them in our hearts,

and we are still together,

this is more than enough.

Sixth Sister.

Don’t do anything stupid, all right?

Play the emotional card.

It is always a nice move.

However, it can only fool the ordinary.

Sister Jin Zhu,

I have some questions for you as well.

There are only orchids, Bodhi in His Young Master’s room.

Why are there fine vines now for no particular reason?

Why does it matter?

The Green Hills Courtyard situates at a special geographical location.

It is close to hot springs.

There are many insects, snakes and mouse.

Our maids

always pour some drug to repel those insects

in order to keep snakes and insects

away from Young Master’s room.

Fine vines come from Nanjiang.

It has a unique smell

which attracts snakes and insects.

The effect is even stronger than that of Mentha,

Telosma cordata and Zhuangyuan Grass.

Even though the smell of fine vines is unique,

it won’t attract this large number of snakes.

It looks like

Sister Jin Zhu knows

fine vines can attract snakes and insects.

Then why did you bought four pots of fine vines?

Don’t you dare frame me.

Young Master,

I have always been loyal to you,

and never betrayed you.

Young Master,

Ever since I came here to serve you,

I get bribes from each servant houses every month.

I have always turned them down,

but they said

Sister Jin Zhu always accepted them.

Ten silver from the kitchen monthly.

Ten silver from the flower house monthly.

Five silver from the laundry house monthly.

Five silver from the sewing house monthly.

Let alone other servant houses,

bribes from these four houses

contribute thirty silver every month.

Nonsense.

Young Master, you are noble and

unfamiliar with the concept of money.

I think you probably have no idea

how much thirty silver worth.

Let me explain to you.

Maids like me,

girls from the poor,

worth at most ten silver.

In that case,

the thirty silver received by Sister Jin Zhu every month

can buy three maids like herself.

Nonsense.

I never charged for the fine vines.

Which means,

you got paid elsewhere?

The corrupted

can never change.

Young Master, please forgive me.

I did receive some bribes to buy accessories,

but I only did this

in order to please you.

I am foolish,

but I am no evil.

Even if Jin Zhu is greedy,

it doesn’t prove she wanted to hurt me.

The greedy can never be satisfied.

They have desire, so they can be easily influenced by money.

Otherwise, why would Sister Jin Zhu

was asked to bring

the Snow Jade Dog

and give it me to bring into your room?

The Snow Jade Dog is already broken.

If I refuse to admit,

what can they possibly do anyway?

What Snow Jade Dog?

Young Master.

I have no idea what she is talking about.

Young Master. Watch out.

Xing’er,

Young Master is blind.

You still want to hurt him with Snow Jade Dog?

How dare you.

Now your evilness is exposed fully.

Yue Qi, restrain her now.

Someone please come and cuff Jin Zhu.

You should cuff her.

Didn’t you say you had noidea what Snow Jade Dog is?

Then why did you know

it would hurt His Young Master?

Tell the truth. Where did this Snow Jade Dog come from?

It was a present from the third great concubine.

The third great concubine?

The third great concubine is paralysed.

She doesn’t meet with anyone.

If you continue to lie,

you will be

just like her.

Please don’t.

Young Master, I will tell the truth.

It was from Mister Zhu, the butler.

He told me that

it was from Beijiang

and very rare.

It could help you horn your skills

while you stay secluded to cultivate yourself.

Besides,

Besides, Young Master Huai has one as well.

I didn’t know you had Cambrian disease.

I didn’t know.

Please forgive me.

Xing’er,

this time you get to punish Jin Zhu.

Young Master.

Young Master. Please don’t.

Xing’er always hates me.

You all know that.

She will beat me to death.

Young Master. Please don’t.

Xing’er.

Young Master.

Young Master.

What’s the matter?

Beating someone to death

is too cruel.

If it were Jin Zhu in your shoes,

she definitely wouldn’t think this way.

She and I are completely different people.

Someone please take Jin Zhu away.

Whip for twenty times.

Yes, sir.

Xing’er protected me and ought to be rewarded.

Thank you very much.

However, Young Master,

What I want the most

is that you can pardon my two sisters

and let them live with me.

As you wish.

Young Master,

why didn’t you take the chance

to get rid of Jin Zhu?

She is not a threat yet.

More importantly,

I need the Emperor to believe

my blindness was caused by

Snow Jade Dog from Yuwen Huai.

I can’t follow his order

to frame Duke Dingbei.

What if Yuwen Huai was ordered to do so?

What should we do?

Even if the Emperor had this thought before,

I think he has changed his mind.

As for Jin Zhu,

I’d like to see

how Xing’er will deal with her.

Yes, sir.

My minor power stage is over.

Tell everyone there is no need

to wear mourning garments.

There is no need to pretend you are in mourning?

Maybe it is time to make Xing’er

as a concubine.

Young Master has reached

twenty years old.

Maybe it’s time…

Shut up.

You are saying

Yuwen Huai used Snow Jade Dog

to kill

Yuwen Yue.

Yes.

As a result, Yuwen Yue is seriously ill

and blind.

Yuwen Huai is such a villain.

He was willing to kill his brother

to obtain the control of

the Eyes of God.

As they always say,

Even an upright official finds it hard to settle a family quarrel.

The fights for power in big families

is just as serious and dangerous as

the fights among countries,

sometimes even more cruel

and more sanguinary.

If we want to

talk all of these out openly,

it will expose our weakness.

It will harm the reputation of the Royal family,

and my integrity.

Are you going to ignore

something this serious?

Of course not.

But more importantly,

we need to find the right person

to reinitiate the Eyes of Gods.

Let them help me.

Is there any suitable candidate in your mind?

I was going to appoint

Yuwen Yue who is a prominent statesman and strategist.

He was the most suitable person

to manage the Eyes of God.

However, when I ordered him

to find evidence of Yanbei’s betrayal,

he refused

To hand the Eyes of God to him.

How could I trust him again?

You are absolutely right.

Looks like Yuwen Yue

is just like Yuwen Zhuo.

They are loyal to you,

but incompetent.

Besides, he does not have many supporters

and is hard to get along with.

On the other hand, Yuwen Huai

is too cruel and brutal.

He keeps many private soldiers in his Household,

all loyal to him alone.

He is well-connected and resourceful.

He should be the one.

Would You Majesty like to call him in now?

No.

Let me think more thoroughly.

Excuse me, Your Majesty,

The imperial decree to Yuwen Yue arrives.

His majesty descends an imperial edict

says that

The General Yuwen is incapable of holding his position.

Therefore,

The Commander's Seal is taken back.

Hope the General recover soon.

That’s all.

Thank you for your grace.

Yuwen Huai using Snow Jade Dog

tried to kill his cousin, Yuwen Yue.

Although unintentionally,

This behaviour is out of order and cannot be tolerated.

From now on, he should stay behind closed doors and ponder over his mistake.

Please honour the decree.

It is what you meant by

there would be good news in three days?

You are just like you late father,

only bringing shame to the third branch.

Mister Zhu, how may I help you?

Young Master Huai is very unsatisfied with you.

He orders you

not to confront with the girl

whose family name is Jing.

Got it?

What? But…

How dare you not to listen to His Young Master.

I am sorry.

Good.

Wicked maid, if I don’t let you pay one day,

I will be damned.

Hurry up.

When the time is right,

you start to scream first.

I will let the wicked maid

from the Jing suffer.

Let’s go.

Let’s go.

Snake. There are snakes.

Snake. There are snakes.

Snake. There are snakes.

Run. Run.

There are snakes.

What should we do?

Why are there so many

snakes and insects

in the room during daytime?

Who did this?

Using snakes and insects to scare us.

I know who did it.

Sister Jin Zhu,

who do you think did this?

JinSi, do you think

who did this?

Sister Jin Zhu

Do you mean that one might be Xing'er?

- Xing'er? - Normally,

only the Jings three girls don't be scared by the snake.

- Yeah. - Yeah.

- She's right. - That's true.

The Jings three girls

are way too vicious.

We can’t let them think

we are easily bullied.

- Yeah. - She's right.

We can't let them bully us.

Go, let's go to her room for the proof.

- Go. - Let's go.

Let's find some proof.

Go to her room for the proof.

- Go. - Let's go.

What are you doing?

It rains a lot recently.

So it's very humid in the room.

Look, there are some cockroaches and fleas here.

Mister Zhu ask us

to send some pesticide to every concubine,

including you guys.

Give it to me.

Mister Zhu said

that let me and Sister Jin Zhu

put the pesticide

to the every corn in the every single room.

This is the assignment of me and sister.

How could we bother Xiaoba?

In my opinion,

your intention is far beyond this.

- Keep looking. - Look here.

Go, let's search here.

Did you find anything?

Not here.

You...

You...

There's nothing here either.

How about there?

Let's search here.

I do not believe that we could find anything.

- Search carefully. - Jin Zhu,

You just can't remember the lesson.

How dare you come to our room

to behave so atrociously?

Don't you be afraid that my Sixth Sister

come to give you a bit of a hard time?

Did you find anything?

- Not all. - Am I afraid?

- Let's search the other side. - Nothing.

Let's take a look here.

- How about there? - There's nothing here either.

Where did they hide it?

I think we didn’t search carefully.

- Look for it carefully - Let's search over there.

Where did they hide it?

How about it?

Now, I slapped you.

You can just ask her to find me.

Jin Zhu.

This...

Are you out of mind?

Sixth Sister.

Who allow you guys to come in?

Mister Zhu.

I didn't ask you.

Couldn't you all understand what I said?

Who allow you guys to come in?

Mister Zhu

told us to put pesticide here.

Did he?

Is Mister Zhu the butler of the Green Hills Courtyard?

Since when can his order be passed to our courtyard?

Mister Zhu is the butler of the whole palace.

How couldn't he

take care of the Green Hills Courtyard?

Oh, then it all makes sense.

Sister Jin Zhu.

I just have been here shortly,

so I don’t know the rules very well.

Do you want me

to ask Master Yue?

How do you guys think?

Xing'er, we didn't know anything at all.

This is the order from Mister Zhu.

We all came here

just because Sister Jin Zhu said so.

Besides,

it's not a big deal.

It's not necessary to disturb Master Yue.

Yeah.

As I see, it's very clean

in Xing'er's room.

There is no cockroach or flea at all.

We've got work to do.

Then, let's get out of here.

- Yes, go, go. - Let's leave.

- Let's to do our jobs. - Go, go.

- Let's leave. - Let's finish our work. Now.

What's the matter, Sister Jin Zhu?

Do you want more conversation with me?

Let's go.

Are you alright, Xiaoba?

I'm fine.

It's weird.

These things that we hid

under her bed

are really gone.

It's impossible.

I kept my eyes on her all the time.

She barely left the Green Hills Courtyard.

Barely?

No, I am sure

that she didn't leave for a long time.

If those things

are still in the Yuwen Palace,

she will have to find some chance to throw them off.

When she lets the cat out of the bag,

the former case

will reverse the verdict.

By that time,

Xing'er will be done.

It turned out that they did hide some snakes

under the bed.

Sixth Sister.

When did you find out?

When I was on night duty.

Do we need to get rid of

these snakes immediately?

Otherwise, the stupid things

Seventh Sister had done

will be revealed again.

If Master Yue

investigates it thoroughly,

we all will be done.

No.

We can't get rid of them right now.

Jin Zhu is waiting for us

to do this.

Then, Sixth Sister,

do you have any plan?

Jin Zhu must have something to do with

the death of Fifth Brother.

I will use her to

find out the real killer behind the scenes.

Little kitten covers the shit.

Young Master is say

something strange again.

Xing'er can't understand.

Can't you really understand?

Although, Jin Zhu is really stupid,

you are not very smarter

compared with her.

Don't think I have no idea about

where those snakes came from.

Young Master, you are overthinking again.

Let Xing'er make some tea for you.

Fire the vine,

then the mosquitoes will attract the birds,

and the birds will attract the snakes.

It took you great effort to finish this.

But Xing'er just

set the stupid Jin Zhu up.

It hurts, Young Master.

Are you alright?

Xing'er is fine.

Thank Young Master for the concern.

Young Master,

you saved Xing'er's life.

What I want right now is to live a good life

and serve you well.

In the case of dealing with Jin Zhu,

Xing'er didn't dare to think about it deeply

and didn't dare to deceive Young Master either.

Didn't dare to think about it deeply?

I am afraid that you have already worked it out.

You are making some progress.

But I advise you

not to take a chance at all.

Be careful, don't let me catch you.

Get out of here, don't be an eyesore here.

I'm an eyesore? Can you see it anyway?

So do you think that since I'm blind,

I can’t hear either?

Xing'er should be blamed.

Although, Young Master is blind,

you are aware of everything very well in your heart.

Do you want everyone in Chang'an

to know the fact

that I'm blind?

Xing'er should be blamed.

Xing'er will never mention

the fact that Young Master's blind.

JinSi, I've finally come to this moment.

What?

Go and tell Mister Zhu

I have found the proof

that the Jings sisters

plotted Young Master.

Okay, I'm on the way.

Wait.

And tell Yue Qi

to be the witness.

Let's see how the Jing's sisters could

refuse to admit it.

Jing Xiaoqi.

Sister Jin Zhu, good morning.

Where are you going

early in the morning?

I...

What is it in this jar?

Can I take a look?

There is nothing sepcial.

Sister Jin Zhu.

If you don't have anything to do,

I got to go first.

It's not that easy

to let you leave.

Open the jar and let me take a look.

This jar belongs to me.

Why should I let you take a look?

Don't let me take a look?

You break up my honey.

Honey?

Of course, it is honey.

Otherwise , what do you think of it?

I see.

You just set a cover story intentionally

to attract my attention, didn't you?

What is the cover story?

Don't think you can bully everyone

because you are the Silver bell.

Anyway, if you don't compensate my honey today,

I will go after you.

It's so early,

why the horse of Yanxun is here?

Wait.

You didn't expect

that you would see me here, do you?

What? The thing in your hand

is the proof of poisoning Young Master, isn't it?

You will never get away this time.

So what,

Sister Jin Zhu?

I didn’t mean to do anything,

I just want to see

they fire your skin and mill your bone,

so I can give vent to my anger.

Do you?

So just come and take it.

Do you hear that?

The crowd is coming.

Stop playing the petty tricks.

Just take the time

to think about carefully

how to explain it.

There is no chance for you to get away this time.

Maybe I can't get away from this,

but I can destroy the proof.

(Sound of fighting)

(Sound of screaming)
