will go after her daughter next.

can help this woman out.

Before Amy arrives,

I've cleared the house
of any leading information.

even religious icons
can influence her findings,

so it's important
that I remove them all.

When I'm finished,
tonight's walk can begin.

I met a guy,

and he said that
he saw all these,

like, shadow people
when he died,

and he knows now that
these things are from the devil.

It just felt like
a ton of energy

just [bleep] slammed me.

I felt a lot of fear.

So, Mary, I'm glad
I'm here now,

'cause when we spoke
on the phone,

the terror in your voice
was overwhelming.

What the hell is
going on?

strange activity,

somebody's going to get hurt.

It was my husband,
myself, and my daughter

and my grandkids

My son Jason
moved in with us.

within six months,

he passed away.

And in that moment,

opened to their,

And in the process,
this living person opened

some sort of pathway
for the dead.

So now they have
more experiences.

And now they can't stop
what's coming and going --

you know, tons of people,
dead people,

you know what I'm saying --
and they can't handle it.

So, Mary,

experiences here.

Feel a heavy male presence

I feel, wherever I am,
he's there watching.

I feel threatened
by it.

I've seen shadow figures
in the bedroom,

on the wall, or do they move?

I was sexually assaulted

It was a large shadow,

and I felt the pressure
on top of me.

He was pinning my arms back
and just fondling me,

something like that happen?

hallucinations

what's causing this?

Yes, I think, first,

I thought poltergeist
'cause it's invisible,

but it's actually
a dead kid

who is manipulating
what the living see here.

He knows what's
going to scare you.

So there's no poltergeist.

are seeing him

walking around and stuff.

But what I saw him
as was, like,

a weird, like,
gray person.

a series of accidents

here in this garage.

one of them right here.

When I was...

...drilling
a piece of metal

which was clamped
down on my workbench,

it came loose,
swung around,

hit my wrist,
and it cut it wide open.

I had to call
for my daughter

so we could rush
to the hospital.

The doctor told me
if I'd waited for an ambulance,

I would not be
talking to him.

So, you mentioned there
was other accidents.

Yes, I did --
another one was

as I was working
in the back seat of this car,

started to step out,
and when I started to step down,

I felt something
pull on my foot,

and then I went down
on the floor, the concrete.

And back again to the ER I went,
with a broken foot this time.

The [bleep] is that?
What?

I just saw
the gray shadow kid again.

I saw living people
seeing it

walking back and forth
in the hallway.

I do see him getting physical
with the living.

He's got a problem
with somebody, you know.

And it seemed like males are
getting physically assaulted.

It's advanced.

I would say that he poses
a pretty damn big threat.

I understand you
recently moved into the house.

Now, I understand
your brother was living here

and that he passed away
in this room. Yes.

Did you ever talk to him

about if he had
any experiences here?

I did talk to him on
several occasions on the phone,

and he did have some
experiences -- shadow people.

He heard the knocking
and he heard the noises.

I could tell that he actually
had fear in his voice.

Bobbi, I talked to your mom,
and she's pretty convinced that

whatever paranormal activity's
happening in this house

accelerated
your brother's death.

Yes, I agree with that
completely.

It was way too fast.

Made his condition worse,

made him weaker
and weaker and weaker.

His body just gave out
in the end.

Bad things were happening
because of the kid.

I'm feeling heart issues here
with a male.

Something happened
heart-related.

He's talking about OD'ing.

he had a heart attack.

else on this guy in life?

I want to say
he's in his 50s.

This wasn't too long ago.

1980s to now.

any kind of connection

to the property
or the family?

He felt...familiar with it,

with the structure.

I have had feelings of nausea
on several occasions.

In addition to that,
I've had either feelings

of extreme freezing
or extreme hot.

but are you sure it's not

On one occasion,

I was here in bed,

and I felt a person crawl
on top of me.

I felt that I was
sexually assaulted.

Now, were you sleeping
and were awakened

by the feeling of somebody
coming up? I was still awake.

Totally out of nowhere.

I wasn't expecting it
at all.

How long
did this attack last?

Several minutes.

What do you think is here?

Something very dark,
very evil here.

This guy who died
from a heart attack,

he's like, "You don't want
to go down there.

You don't want
to go down there."

This is a bad area.

I feel extremely nauseous.

Somebody's throwing up
all the fricking time.

Why is this
particular location worse?

It just seems like all of
the energies converge here.

What energies?

Like, living people's
bad energy,

the energy from the dead --

like, it's just
all meeting.

And then it just makes this
a very, very bad space to be in.

I don't know how anybody could
spend much time down here,

because you just feel sick.

Like, I feel that energy.

Crazy. I hate it.

I hate the whole downstairs.

Like, there's no quiet peace
here at all.

So it's like mayhem.

So, I made my usual calls,
and it turns out

Mary's property used to be part
of a massive slave plantation,

and the guy who owned it was
the U.S. secretary of war.

I'm heading over to meet
with a Civil War historian

who says the land
was a magnet for racism,

violence, and death.

So, Mike, thanks for meeting me.
I appreciate that.

Now, I know the original owner
of my client's property

was a pretty
prominent guy.

What can you
tell me about him?

The gentleman who owned
your client's property

was George Walker Crawford.

Even before serving as
U.S. secretary of war,

he had served two terms
as governor of Georgia.

Wow.

Now, on the phone,
you mentioned

that he also ran a plantation
where my client's property is.

Yes.

Belair was a plantation
of over 2,000 acres.

It was really the jewel
of this entire area.

That's a pretty big operation --
2,000 acres.

Absolutely. I mean,
it was enormous.

Crawford owned 40 slaves
who worked the land.

Now, Mike, I've dug through
a lot of slave history

for my investigations.

It's usually either horrible
or really horrible.

So what was the story
on Crawford's plantation?

They would beat the slaves,
treat them very, very badly,

working literally
from sunup to sundown

usually six days a week.

All right, Mike,
so, we know how the war ended.

What happened to Crawford
and the plantation?

Crawford continued to live
at Belair

until 1872,
when he died in his home

on your client's property
at the age of 73.

And I have
a copy of his obituary.

Okay, we have any
indication how he died?

I've found nothing listing
the cause of his death.

All right,
so, now Crawford's dead.

What happens
to the property?

He leaves the plantation
to his son,

William Peter Crawford.

So, do you know anything
about this guy William?

Yes, Steve.

William actually served

with the Confederacy
during the war.

He was
a lieutenant colonel.

And during
the Battle of Olustee,

he was severely wounded

when he was struck
by a shot in the leg.

All right,
so, did this guy ever recover

from his injuries
and go back to battle?

No, he did not, Steve.

He returned to Belair,

and the war ended
before his wounds healed.

Okay.

I met a guy who's a hunter.
His name is William.

He said that he was, you know,

in this area back
in '76 or '77.

And I'm assuming,
you know,

that he meant, like,
1876 or 1877,

just 'cause, like, you know,

how he was dressed
and everything.

I think, like,
I'm a little confused on if he,

at one time,
owned the land.

And he's a racist,
by the way.

Something happened
to the Black people here.

Anyways, he said
he died on the land

from accidental gunshot.

So far, I know
a former U.S. secretary of war

owned my client's land
and ran a plantation

where slaves lived
under horrific conditions.

But I want to see
if there's anything else.

Searching through old records,
I find out William Crawford,

the son who was wounded
in the Civil War,

sold the property
to his sister, Sarah Mays.

So I had a local journalist
look into Sarah for me.

Turns out she was
surrounded by death

the whole time she lived
on my client's land.

Well, Barry, thanks for meeting

Tell me what you've found out
about Sarah's time

on my client's land.

In 1862, she and her husband's
first child

passed away at age 1.

Do we know how he died?

We don't.

Prior to 1914,

the state of Georgia
didn't keep any death records.

Okay, so, Barry,
that's one tragedy.

What else happened?

Well, it may have been
the most heartbreaking death,

because a few years later,
her 12-year-old son passed away

on the farm, as well.

At 12 years old.
Do we know how he died?

We don't know.
We don't know what happened.

Could have been
a farming accident.

Could've been illness.

We just don't know.

All right, well,
did she stay on the property?

She and her husband stayed there
in that home until 1905.

Okay.
What happens in 1905?

Well, she had
started to go blind,

and she and her husband
moved to South Georgia

to live
with one of her sons,

and 10 years later,
she passed away.

That's her obituary.

So, this poor woman,
she loses two kids,

and she starts
to go blind.

That's right.
So she suffered a lot.

She sure did.

This little gray shadow kid
who's terrorizing the house

is, I don't know,
I'd say 11 to 17.

He died
a long time ago here.

He's attached directly
to the land.

how he died?

I don't get anything
directly off the kid

because he is really good
at hiding and manipulating.

There is a dead little lady
who comes here,

and she's looking
for her dead child.

I think she's
this gray shadow kid's mom.

my attention in research --

There was a brutal murder
in the 1800s

right on the edge
of Mary's land.

I'm on my way to meet
with a local crime writer

who says the homicide
was the work of a crazed killer

and justice for the victim
was never served.

Well, Dr. Davies, thanks for
helping me out with this case.

That article I came across,
there was a homicide

right on
my client's property.

Did you find out
anything about it?

On March 26, 1875,

a badly decomposed body
was found in the woods

just across the street

from the property
that you're looking into.

Here's an article

So, now, the body's
badly decomposed.

Were they ever able
to identify him?

Not initially, but there was
a farmer who came forward

who recognized him

as somebody who had been
around back in January

trying to sell farmers
some needles,

this peddler named
Michael Callahan.

What kind of needles?

I'm guessing they're
sewing needles.

Okay, so, now the hard part
of identifying him is done.

Were they able
to identify a perpetrator?

Yeah, oddly enough,
the same farmer

was able to identify
the perpetrator.

Sarah Mays had a farmhand
working for her --

this guy
19-year-old Noah Kent.

Now, Sarah Mays was the owner
of my client's property.

Yes, that's correct.

It turns out this farmer who
was able to identify the body

remembered Noah Kent
trying to sell him

what seemed to be
those same needles

the day after Michael Callahan
had gone missing.

All right, so, now
they have the perp identified.

Were they able
to catch up with him?

Yeah, they actually
tracked him down,

and when they arrest him,
he's got property on him

from Michael Callahan.

All right, so, our perpetrator
was 19 years old.

Did he have any priors?

There's no record of any.
We couldn't find anything.

So, now they got him, they got
property from the victim.

Did they ever get
a confession from him?

No, he says
he's never even met Callahan,

but there are
several witnesses

that saw the two of them
eating dinner

the night before
Callahan went missing.

So, what ends up happening
with this kid Noah Kent?

We don't know.
We can't find any court records.

We can't find any evidence

that Noah Kent
ended up in prison.

We don't know what happened
at the end of this case.

We don't know
if he's guilty, not guilty.

It's a mystery.

Somebody
did something bad here.

I heard somebody scream out,
"Stab in the gut!"

So I'm assuming a male
was stabbed in the gut.

I don't know if this kid
was involved.

But energy here
is not good.

But it's an energy that
he feeds and draws off of.

This little gray shadow kid,

he's able to manipulate
the energy that's here,

this massive
amount of energy.

He's really talented,
I got to say.

Like, I feel that energy,
that [bleep] energy, man.

This house is,
like, [bleep] crazy.

I saw several
disturbing things on my walk.

But the gray shadow kid
attacking a living man

had me the most concerned.

There's
a slight-built person.

And then you see, like,
the entity over here,

like, "Grr!"

You see this, like,
disembodied fist punching

into the back
of the living person.

what you saw?

Yes.

Now that Amy and I have
completed our investigations,

we're ready to reveal
our findings to each other

and our clients
for the first time.

Amy, I'd like you to meet
Mary and her daughter, Bobbi.

I got to be honest --
talking to Mary broke my heart.

She says in the three years
that she's lived here,

she hasn't had
one happy day,

and it's because of
the paranormal activity.

But the reason
she called us in

is Bobbi here
just moved in recently,

and she's afraid that
whatever's attacking her

is going to
go after Bobbi next.

Now that Amy knows a little bit
about what's going on,

I'm going to have her
describe her walk for us.

So,
the first deceased individual

I encountered
in the house

was in the kitchen,
at the top of the stairs.

I would say
he was in his 50s,

he was a bit overweight,

and he kept complaining

that he should've taken
better care of himself.

I felt
that he had heart issues,

so I got that he died
from a heart attack.

When I was starting to head down
to the basement,

he was like, "Oh, you don't want
to go down there."

And then he was talking
about something with OD'ing.

Wow.

So, Amy, this is one of the
big reasons Mary called us in --

about a year ago, her son,
Jason, died in the house.

I actually have
a photo of him right here.

This is Jason.

Jason died
in the bedroom downstairs.

He was here
for only about six months,

and his death
was pretty sudden.

He was only 41 years old
when he died.

You mentioned the guy could've
taken better care of himself.

Well, that's definitely true
for Jason.

The reason he moved back here is
he had an issue with alcoholism.

Both Mary and Bobbi think

that whatever's in this house
took advantage of the fact

that he was in
a weakened condition

and ultimately killed him.

Could the activity
in this house

have sped up
what happened to him?

Oh, I think so,
yeah.

You think it was Jason
you might've seen?

No. It absolutely was not him,
which is good news.

Mary, deep down inside,

you wanted it to be him,
didn't you?

Of course
I wanted to see him.

But I want --

I'm happy that, you know,
he's at peace.

So, then I went into
the master bedroom,

and what I got in there
was I saw a living woman,

and I saw her thinking,
and she's like,

"Oh, I'm so fed up
with this [bleep].

I can't take it anymore.

I need to be protected.

Everything needs
to be protected,"

and, like,
is doing a prayer.

But in that moment,

what happened was that
the energy reacted

with this person's body,

and they
spontaneously opened.

And when that happened,

it also unlocked a pathway
for the dead.

So, occasionally,

you'll get transient
random dead people in your home.

You're talking about
that master bedroom? Yeah.

All right, so, that's where
Mary stays, obviously.

Yeah.

Mary, it's probably a good time
to tell Amy about the things

you've done to try to combat
what's going on here.

I've saged, and I have
salted the property.

I've even salted
around the bed.

You had some people come in,
as well, right?

Yes.

We had two priests
walk through,

anoint, you know, everything,
did the prayers.

I feel that they just
stirred it up.

So the activity got worse
after he did these things?

Yeah.

Mm. Interesting.

What else happened
during the walk?

So, when I was out front,

I encountered
this dead guy -- William.

I thought he was a hunter

'cause he was walking around
with a shotgun all the time,

the way he was dressed,
you know.

He said that he owned the land
back in the 1870s.

I got that he died here.

One of the things
that really stood out about him

was that
he was a racist.

He said something happened
to the Black people here.

I got that he was shot.

He was claiming
that it was an accident

and that he died
probably in his 50s.

That's kind of
what he looked like, so...

Soon as you said that,
my ears perked up

because I came across a guy
in my research

whose name was William

that lived on this property
back in the mid-1800s.

Wow.

His name was
William Crawford.

Crawford and his father ran
a massive slave plantation here

for over 35 years.

Oh, [bleep].

Now, this house
sits right in the middle

of what was then
that plantation.

Now, William wound up
selling the property

to his sister,
Sarah, in 1875.

You said the guy
you saw got shot, right?

Yeah.

Well, William fought
for the Confederacy

during the Civil War.

I don't think
it was an accident,

but he did get shot
in battle.

Matter of fact,
he had to come back here

to the plantation
to recoup.

You mentioned this guy's
a racist.

Well...
Yeah.

Crawford grew up on a plantation
and served in the Confederacy.

I mean, that's a no-brainer
right there.

You also said the guy you saw
died in his 50s.

Well, William Crawford died
at the age of 59.

I have his obit here.

You think Crawford is the guy
you might have seen?

Sounds like him.

I'm floored.

Okay, anything else?

So, the thing I'm most
concerned about is that

there's this dead person here
who's a kid.

I think that living people
would be very susceptible to him

because he's
extremely manipulative.

He was tricking the [bleep]
out of me for a while,

and I didn't even know
he was here yet, all right?

So he's manipulating
what I'm seeing,

hearing, feeling, thinking
for a large part of my walk.

Um...

This is how good he is.

At first, I thought
there was a poltergeist here

because of everything
I was experiencing,

but it was really
just this kid --

which is also scary
at the same time

because it's a dead person
being able to manipulate

that kind of energy
to cause stuff to happen.

So, now, this little rat bastard
was trying to trick you?

I mean, did you get anything?
A sense of who he was?

I got that he was between
11 and 17 years of age

and that he died on the property
a long time ago --

around the same time
that William was here.

I can't help but keep thinking
about the Crawford family

and William's sister,
Sarah,

who lost two young kids while
living on the property here.

The first was her
1- year-old son,

who was named George,
after her father.

The second was
her 12-year-old son.

His name was William,
as well,

and he was named
after the brother.

Now, because there was
no death certificates back then,

we don't know
how they died.

By the time
the 12-year-old died,

he would have been working
as a farmhand,

so anything could've
happened to him.

It could've been
an accident.

It could've been
a million and one things.

The time periods match up.

Could this be this
12-year-old kid?

I mean, it could be.

So, Amy,
you said this kid

could trick the living into
thinking there's a poltergeist.

I mean, what else
can this kid do?

He's a little stalker-ish,

so you definitely feel like
you're being watched a lot.

And then he also
makes noises up there,

so you would hear him
moving around.

I think the living here would
see him as a shadow figure.

I saw him
more grayish-looking.

He can feed off of your fears
and project those things

that you're afraid of
into manifesting,

which is then causing you
to hallucinate.

He is very advanced.

Also, he was showing me him
being violent with the living.

Well, she named a lot
of the experiences

that these two
have been having,

and we got to take them
one at a time.

What about the noises?
Let's start with that.

Constant noises --

chattering, footsteps.

It's loud all the time.

Now, both of you guys
have seen shadow figures, right?

Mm-hmm.
Yes.

I've seen shadows,
you know,

going down the hall,
you know, back and forth.

Let's talk about
the physical stuff.

I want to
bring up your scratches.

Right here in my abdomen,
I was scratched.

How many scratches?

Probably five.

It was very odd-feeling.

They were a very deep,
very painful burning sensation

right across here.

This is something
we have to bring up.

the bruising

and the other assault
that happened to you.

I've been assaulted twice
in the bedroom -- sexually.

And I had
bruises in the inner thigh.

While it was going on,
I could not move.

Bobbi, you were attacked,
as well.

And I felt a person
crawl on top of me.

It didn't last long,
but I was violated.

Now, all the stuff

There are better places to live.

that you can do.

The first thing is
getting some mu-metal.

Mu-metal is a magnetic
shielding material.

I know this is unusual,

but you're going to
need to buy some.

What that is going to do
is it's going to alleviate

a lot of the inorganic
and environmental energy

that affects this area.

Now, what do they do
with this metal?

They just leave it
in the house? Yeah.

Try to get a little bit
for each room.

The second thing is
taking care

of the residual energy
that's here.

Forever,
you're going to have to do

biweekly or monthly
cleansings.

When you're doing that,
we'll begin to remove

all of this hundreds of years,
I guess, of residual crap.

And also, by doing
the cleansings outside,

you're going to be
putting up a barrier

to keep the negative dead

who are running amok
on that path out of here.

Now, for the dead kid,

what I want is
a very, very strong male witch

to come in
to do an exorcism...

...to remove the child
from the home.

The kid's probably going to
freak the [bleep] out.

But once
you put that mu-metal,

you get some of that
up in here,

it's going to take
his energy level down

by, like, 50%.

And the male witch will
effectively remove the child

from this location
and this land.

Once that's
all said and done,

will this place be
a lot easier to tolerate?

and have an easier time of it,
