We have heard two witnesses testify
that the defendant, Ronnie Asgaard,

was not in Copenhagen, but in
a holiday cottage in North Jutland,

at the time of the killing.

Thus he cannot be the perpetrator.

Those testimonies must, however,
be dismissed,

since several witnesses recognised
the defendant on CCTV footage.

Text messages were also sent
to the victim

from the defendant's phone
in the weeks before the killing.
