[Episode 23]

Halt!

Aren't you the one who caused this?

How is that possible?

How can they be to blame?

Why did they harm us?

So evil.

These two men?

Pay one tael for the water!

I'm not paying for this!

Then, don't come to Qi Yu Village for the water!

It was a trap.

Sir.

Is there any misunderstanding between us?

No misunderstanding.

You are the malefactors!

This morning, they were looking for the origin of water in this village secretly.

You not only poisoned the branches,

but also Ju Xian Canal

in order to harm more villagers!

Yes! He's right!

I saw you by the riverside this morning.

You are the poisoners!

The prince is here! The prince is here!

-Your Highness! -Your Highness!

In the excuse of water shortage,

you poisoned the river

which my Qi Yu's villagers rely on?

Such an evil.

Your Highness.

These two heroes healed my son just now.

I don't think they are the poisoners.

These two men are not heroes.

How are you,

Prince Regent?

-Prince... -He's Prince Regent?

-He's Prince Regent? -He's Prince Regent?

Prince Regent?

On my way here, I've heard that

you hired tons of female servants,

hit the bottle,

and lead a extravagant life.

You even chased Jing out of Sheng Jing.

What are you trying to do?

I even heard that he slapped his consort

and chased her out.

Not bad, Prince Regent.

You've totally changed in just a few days.

You tortured Jing

and released your anger

on my Qi Yu people.

What is your purpose?

You've exposed your hidden agenda.

Seems like

you have never given up on Jing.

Yes!

I want her!

I'm Prince Qi Yu now.

We are on the same rank.

If Jing is unhappy,

I'll definitely get her back!

Such a slimeball as you

doesn't deserve to be with Jing!

What evidence do you have

to say that I'm the poisoner?

There' are only one mainstream and two branches in Sheng Jing River.

One branch flows toward Sheng Jing,

another, my clan.

The checkpoints along the river

are all guarded by your people.

After the cut off of the river,

I heard that you've asked people to check on the origin.

But why didn't I see

water being released from the upstream?

What's worse, it's poisoned instead.

These days,

only you, Prince Regent, came to this village.

If you're not the poisoner,

who would it be, me?

We are here to investigate.

Why did you make it sound like we were the poisoners?

You are trying to frame His Highness.

What's your purpose?

Frame?

Since Qi Yu starts trading in Sheng Jing,

we are offered to stay in this village.

Why should we frame you?

But, you!

Are you trying to chase us out

with the poisoned water?

-Yes! -Yes!

Alright!

Though we are suspicious by entering this place,

what evidence do you have to prove that

I'm the poisoner?

Someone!

I picked this by the river.

Your Highness.

That's our water bag.

But, why is it with him?

What else can you say?

This young man drank the water and was poisoned

a few days ago.

If I really poisoned the water,

why would I return to this place today

and let myself fall into this trap?

Who knows?

Maybe you tried to cover your wrongdoings,

so you acted good and checked on us.

But you just wanted to see if we are seriously poisoned

and dying.

-You're right. -Am I right, folks?

Yes.

His Highness came here personally to solve the problem.

You should defame him!

Defame?

I think you are the ones who're pretending to be kind,

but actually, doing evil.

Didn't Zhong family do evil

years ago?

You are quite good at telling tales,

Aren't you?

Have you forget the fire in Qi Yu

several decades ago?

The truth has yet been revealed,

but you're acting kind here.

So shameless.

Poisoning?

Isn't it just a cinch for you?

That's a grudge between our clans.

But it doesn't mean that I'm the one who did this.

Moreover, if I poisoned the upstream,

Sheng Jing people around the downstream would be affected too.

Why would I cause trouble to myself?

Are you that kind?

Destroying a village, killing a few villagers...

To you, it's just like

killing a few ants.

Yes.

This just happened to our village

and the prince is here.

He even went to the origin this morning,

to check on his outcome.

We can't let him go!

Yes! We can't let him go!

Don't let him go!

-Don't let him go! -Don't let him go!

After all, he's the well-known

Sheng Jing's Prince Regent.

If we attack him here,

people might think that

we are bullying them in the future.

We can't decide on this now.

Give me three days.

I'll definitely find out the criminals!

No way.

If you leave, whom can we blame it on?

Don't you dare to leave here today!

It's alright for not letting me go.

Now, the river is polluted and people are in a shortage of water.

How about letting my guard

to fetch some water?

This is urgent.

You can't do that either!

What if he goes back

with an army to attack us?

You want to contact others?

Write a letter instead!

What's the difference between this and house confinement?

Zhang Ji!

There are more villages along the downstream of Sheng Jing River.

If we can't stop the poisoned water in time,

there will be greater troubles.

If you keep stopping us,

you are threatening everyone in Sheng Jing.

Is this how Prince Qi Yu deals with problems?

Should Prince Qi Yu

convict a person just by a water bag?

You... Who are you?

Ru Yu.

Why are you here?

This token...

This is a token from Bei Yu.

If you need Bei Yu's help

in the future,

you can come and find me with this.

Why did I hear that Wen Ru Yu

gave you something before she left?

Kiss me

and I'll give it to you.

Not bad.

You keep something of your ex-girlfriend

and you still want a kiss?

Are you giving it out?

If you don't, I'll...

I'll...

Alright.

I'll give it to you.

You can keep it.

But...

I still want a kiss.

This token.

You... You are the Princess of Bei Yu?

Princess?

What a gorgeous today.

So many people came

to our small village today.

Your Highness.

I passed by here by chance

and saw so many people bullying him.

I really couldn't stand it.

Did you really pass by coincidentally?

Am I suppose to call you

the ex-Consort?

Ex-Consort?

She's the previous wife of Prince Yuan Zheng.

You came and help him.

Did you plan this together with him?

He betrayed me.

Why should I help him?

But we, Bei Yu people are straightforward.

We don't like to tell tales

and defame others.

I'm here to travel.

When I was drinking water by the river,

I saw someone stealing Prince Regent's water bag.

Isn't it strange?

I lost the person who stole the water bag.

I knew he would cause trouble,

so I rushed here

to see what is he trying to do.

I didn't expect that

I got to watch a drama of you framing someone.

No wonder.

When I was saving the young man just now,

I realized that this poison

will not kill a person straight away.

If I'm the one who poisoned him,

I'll use a more intense poison.

Why would I wait for you to capture me?

I saw it with my eyes.

And, I have a way

to catch that man.

Why don't I capture him

and ask him to admit his wrongdoings here?

How about it?

Master.

Why is he calling me now?

I'll not look into

this poisoning case for now.

But, many of the villagers

in this village still don't know that the river is poisoned.

Everyone! Inform other villagers

not to drink the river water.

When I find the culprit,

I'll definitely give you an explanation.

Yes, Your Highness.

Zhong Wu Mei!

When I see you next time,

we shall clear all of our grudges.

The poison has spread across the river.

Do you know where to get drinking water?

Do you have any idea?

It's not difficult.

As a princess, I can write a letter back to Bei Yu

and ask my father to transport water here.

This can solve your water shortage problem for ten days to half a month

without any problems.

But, if you want me to do so,

you have to apologize to him.

Because you defamed him just now.

Are you being serious?

Of course.

Alright, you've promised.

I was careless

and have mistaken you, Prince Regent.

I do apologize.

Your Highness.

I hope that you remember your promise.

I never take back my promise.

When the man who poisoned escaped,

I spread some Bei Yu fragrance on him.

You can find him

following the smell.

Thank you, Your Highness.

You care a lot about Qi Yu.

But don't you care about why

the entire Sheng Jing River is cut off suddenly?

Didn't the person who calls you back now

tell you the reason?

What do you mean?

He framed and made me the culprit.

Didn't you consider

what is his purpose for

planning all these?

Is he a good one or a bad one?

If you can't distinguish the right and wrong,

you should be careful and not let the wolf enter then.

Master.

Let's go.

Ru Yu.

Why are you suddenly here?

Of course is because of your Jing.

She asked Lan and Huang from Wen Xiang Lou

to send a letter to me in Nan Yan

at the fastest speed.

When I opened it,

I saw the token I gave to you,

so I rushed here to keep

my promise.

Nan Yan?

Didn't you return to Bei Yu?

Don't you think that I didn't leave Sheng Jing

because I still miss you.

It's because

I met my destiny, Sir Feng.

Actually,

I often exchange letters with Jing.

I've heard from Jing that

there are many delicious desserts in Nan Yan.

As a person who wants to taste all the dishes in the world,

how can I miss it?

By the way,

Do you know what kind of girl

does an educated man in Sheng Jing like?

Seems like Your Highness is deeply in love

with this talent in Nan Yan.

Don't you dare to laugh at me.

Tell me.

I'm serious.

Whether he is a talent

or a rough man,

as long as it's true love,

he will definitely like you.

Really?

Previously, I thought that

only the boldness of our men in Bei Yu

can attract me.

However...

That scholar

can read and write poetry,

and he's humorous too.

I've never seen such an ambitious man

like Sir Feng.

Let me tell you.

Many people

are chasing after Jing.

Look.

Xi Que asked me to look after His Highness.

They...

He must be thinking that I'll swallow you.

Your Highness, no!

You're fooled.

Don't worry.

I'm not interested in His Highness anymore.

I apologize for my recklessness.

Though you have used the token,

you can always turn to me for help

in the future.

Oh, if Sir Feng came here for examination,

you have to accommodate him.

When he becomes a consort,

you shall support him too.

I'll treat this as compensation from you and Jing.

Alright.

By then, I'll bring two writers...

No!

He's a nobleman.

It's not late to do it after he passes.

And I want to have a look at his skills too.

If he turns out to be an idiot,

I won't like him anymore.

Alright.

Up to you.

By the way,

Jing is my best friend now.

If you don't treat her nicely,

I'll come and find you!

I promise.

We Bei Yu ladies call ourselves brave.

If we want to get something,

we will try our best.

But, I understand now.

Love is to fulfill,

not to possess.

Zhong.

See you again.

See you again.

There's a boundary to the sky and the sea,

but not an end to my lovesick.

Seems like

I'm really out for too long.

I can't avoid missing

my loved one.

I wonder

if the one I'm missing

is doing well now.

Miss.

Could you sit for a while?

You've been walking back and forth for so long.

Jiang Xuan Yu has left for the whole day.

This...

Why is he still...

How is it? How is it?

Wait a minute. Let me have some water first.

Tell me before you drink!

Sir is staying in such a small house.

These men

don't seem to belong to Prince Yuan Zheng.

They're the palace guards.

Lan came back

and said that Princess of Bei Yu received the letter

and offered her help.

Don't worry.

God will bless a good man.

Zhong will definitely get through this crisis.

This place is so far away.

Why is there galloping sound?

Oh no. We have to hide.

Xi Que, hurry up!

Go!

Holy crap!

If they followed me here,

This place might have been exposed.

We can't stay here anymore.

We shall leave here immediately.

Alright.

Oh my god!

Who will it be?

Your Highness.

Jing!

Jing!

My husband!

Why are you rushing to see me?

I was resolving the problem

for our Qi Yu people.

I heard that Wen Ru Yu of Bei Yu

went there too.

If Bei Yu is dragged in,

we will be disadvantaged.

We still don't know how to initiate the crystal bead.

If they find out where I'm hiding

all our hard work will be wasted.

I still have to resolve the problem for my clan.

You only think about yourself!

We are people on the same boat.

How can you separate me from you?

Moreover,

you can't only

think about your villagers.

Then, let me ask you.

Is the cutoff of Sheng Jing River

caused by you?

The cutoff of Sheng Jing River?

Does it have anything to do with me?

Are you really not hiding something from me?

I've never thought that

you would trust Zhong Wu Mei's words

after having a talk with him.

You know what I've talked to Zhong Wu Mei

right away.

Seems like there is

a swam of your spies in my village.

We've worked together for so many years.

There can be some of my friends.

We are a family.

Now, I finally understand what Zhong Wu Mei

was trying to tell me.

The one who stole his water bag and poisoned the water

is your man right?

What do you mean?

Zhong Wu Mei

is driving a wedge between us.

You should never trust him.

Really?

Seems like you're still suspecting me.

I'll give you Han Shuang Xue's antidote.

as an act of sincerity.

You can stop worrying now, right?

We are in the same team.

I don't wish that others' words

will ruin our co-operation.

Alright.

I'll trust you once more.

But if you...

How dare I?

I still have to rely on you, Your Highness.

By the way,

I know the whereabouts of another crystal bead.

I wish that Your Highness can offer me a troop

to protect me.

Here you are.

This is the Tiger Symbol.

You can get a troop from General Huo.

Thank you, Your Highness.

Master.

Check on the authenticity of this antidote.

He gave us the antidote

that he used to control us so easily.

This is quite not his style.

Yes.

I got it.

How long are you going to hug me?

I'll hug you like this forever,

never letting you go.

Jing.

I'm thinking about a very serious thing.

Serious?

Is it about the crystal bead?

Or whereabouts of Jin Chen?

Oh, I know,

are you worry that people will fall ill

if they don't get the clean water?

I'm thinking that

will our first child

be a boy or a girl?

I thought you were thinking of something serious.

You were actually thinking of this?

Bearing a child is a very important thing.

Answer it!

A boy.

A mother's honor depends on her son.

Moreover,

If you bully me in the future,

a boy can protect me.

How dare I bully my wife?

Then what do you want, a boy or a girl?

I won't choose it.

I want both.

If he's a boy,

he'll be like me, brave and smart.

If she's a girl,

she'll be like you, wise and skillful.

Sounds good?

Then I'll see how hard you try.

Wait a minute!

I surrender.

I still have many things to ask you.

Ask then.

Now, it's your time to interrogate.

Did you squeeze your time

to see me here?

Are there still many problems in Sheng Jing

pending to be settled?

Though the source of water

has been solved,

you still haven't find the poisoner. What will you do?

And you just mentioned Sir Feng...

Shall we help Ru Yu

and find an academy

for Sir Feng?

Don't worry about anything else now.

You just have to care about me.

No way.

I can't distract you from your work.

I'll become a bad woman then.

You don't know.

These days,

I've been struggling

in resolving these problems.

Now, I just want you to help me release my stress.

It would be great

if time stops here.

I wonder

when we can

catch all the bad guys

and live happily ever after.

It's difficult to obtain something,

but easy to lose it.

Maybe being able to make you happy

is my biggest happiness.

What's wrong?

There is one more thing

that infuriates me.

What is it?

Liu Xiu Wen said that he'll bring you back.

Seems like

he has not given up on you.

Why do so many people like you?

It's all your fault.

He still has an affection for me.

How is that my fault?

It's all because you're too lovely.

But I'm still yours.

It doesn't matter.

Jing.

If I can't come back

from this trip...

Don't say such unlucky words.

If you don't come back,

I'll...

I'll marry someone else.

How dare you?

Then, come back in a whole skin.

Don't you forget that

you still owe me a wedding.

And a child.

You liar!

Don't you dare to lie to me again.

Alright.

Why don't we

work hard tonight?

Naughty!

Xi Que.

Look.

His Highness and Consort haven't seen each other for so long.

Consort embraced His Highness once she saw him.

So?

So...

His Highness held Consort's hand too.

Then?

Then...

Then they...

They...

They...

Great!

You...

I really came at the wrong time.

Please continue.

As I expected,

Zhong Wu Mei is acting along with the incidence

and keeps Lin Luo Jing and Jiang Xuan Yu at the same place.

What a good plan!

Now, Jiang and Lin Luo Jing

are in that small house.

The palace guards are guarding outside.

They are highly skilled.

It's difficult for a normal person to enter.

But I've asked people

to mark the route to the house.

Things after this

is none of my business.

You did a great job.

Never expect that a daughter of a rich family, who always stay at home

would be so decisive

when she becomes heartless.

Since I've promised you

and helped you to find them,

I hope that you keep your promise

and not cause trouble to Jiang.

Of course.

Now, I just need to

get them out of that secret place.

Since he uses the palace guards

to protect Lin Luo Jing,

I can only outsmart him then.

I can't help you with that.

Don't you forget.

I still know your weakness.

Our deal

is not done yet.

What are you trying to do?

I still need a little help

from you, Lady Jiang.

I'm not sure if this would be an easy trip.

Jing.

You must wait for me.

Miss.

Why didn't you send His Highness off?

People always say that a couple grows fonder during a reunion.

It's hard to be apart after that.

A departure after a reunion really hurts more.

Moreover,

we don't know

when we can meet again.

I'm afraid that I'll cry

when I send him off.

Zhong Wu Mei wouldn't bear to leave, either

He already has enough troubles.

I don't want to give him more pressure.

I couldn't bear to see Zhang Ji off, too.

That's too cruel.

My heart hurts badly.

I don't know what's wrong with me.

I'm feeling very anxious.

I keep sensing something bad.

Jing! Jing!

Jing!

-Something happened! -What's wrong?

I have to go out immediately!

What's wrong?

Tang Meng from Feng Yun 12th Fortress.

A hundred thousand tael?

They want you to pay the ransom alone

within six hours?

Miss Tang is kidnapped?

Where is this letter from?

Zhong mansion.

Feng Yun 12th Fortress.

I heard that there is where masters gather.

Master Jiang.

I'm afraid that

you can't beat them off if you go alone.

Don't worry.

I'll return to my mansion and bring some servants to save Meng.

I'm afraid that you can't make it in six hours.

What's worse, the servants in your mansion

can't beat them either.

Do you still have enough money with you?

Jiang.

The real masters are here.

Bring Jun and Hu with you.

No way.

They are here to protect you.

You've stayed here to protect me for so many days.

Both Zhong Wu Mei and I owe you a favor.

Moreover, Feng Yun 12th Fortress

is very close.

Hurry up and come back soon.

This place is unfrequented,

and thus cannot be found easily.
