[Episode 10]

You are here.

Master.

I heard that Yuan Zheng Mansion is very busy today.

Yes.

Zhong Wu Mei kicked Ling Luo Jing out

early in the morning.

This medicine is quite effective.

The imperial doctor was summoned,

and they couldn't tell.

Do you think

they were acting?

I don't think so.

Lin Luo Jing is drinking in Wen Xiang Lou.

She's heartbroken.

I didn't expect to see them like this.

Master, you are prophetic, and you planned well.

Only the old fox Lin Fei Yu is left now.

We'll win in one shot.

Be careful.

Don't cause any trouble.

Yes.

What about Lin Luo Jing then?

Someone will take care of it.

Don't worry about it.

Yes, Master.

Sir, you're so generous.

It's beautiful.

Yeah!

Isn't it the new clothes of Shi San Yu tailor's shop?

-Yeah. -Look.

Look at that one.

That one is made of fine silk.

It's very expensive.

Money is meant to make beauties laugh.

I should enjoy myself today.

Why don't we perform for him?

Okay.

So let's perform the new dance?

Sounds boring.

Let's play something innovative.

You are so special, sir.

You're not like other men.

Men?

They're nothing.

When they love you,

they say all the sweet things.

So sweet.

Maybe one day,

they just stop loving you

and move on.

Men are nothing.

I don't understand.

He is not a robot.

How

could he just forget?

A proud savage!

Brainless.

-What's wrong with him? -I...

I'm an independent woman of the new era!

I shouldn't feel sad about it.

Since you don't like dancing shows,

why don't we play some games?

Let's see who can stare longer.

You've never won!

I will beat you this time.

Staring?

Sir, let's...

That's enough!

I hate it the most!

I don't want it!

His beard is fake.

It's not a he.

It's a she.

She made a scene in Wen Xiang Lou before.

And she married into Yuan Zheng Mansion.

Yes, it's her.

Let's go out first.

Go, go, go.

Go.

Bring me your best wine!

Bring it all!

Did she leave?

Yes.

I don't think she's coming back again.

Brother Zhong, have some tea.

Thank you very much, Yu Er.

Brother Zhong,

although Lin Luo Jing was a little rude,

we don't have to

be so ruthless.

She makes trouble out of nothing.

If we don't send her out soon,

she'll cause more trouble.

If it makes you more upset,

what can I do?

Brother Zhong is thoughtful.

But Your Highness said so many harsh words today

and drove Miss Lin out.

If you meet again,

I'm afraid she will do something bad to you.

I'm fine with it.

But Shan's got a point.

What's your opinion?

Princess grew up in the palace. She's soft-hearted.

I've seen a lot of women who suffer a lot.

If she comes back later for compensation,

it'd be troublesome.

I've nothing to do with her now.

The guard won't let her in.

Brother Zhong,

I need another favor.

Please tell me.

My father wrote to me a few days ago,

saying that he would come to Sheng Jing soon.

I sent my costumes

to Mr. Jiang's tailor shop for finishing.

But I forgot I have to prepare for the snakes

for Father with Shan tonight.

The costumes are important,

so I want you to bring it back to me.

Sure.

You agreed?

Sure, I'll help you.

You're so sweet.

Yu Er, go back to your room and wait for me.

I will be right back.

Yes, Brother Zhong.

Shan,

this medicine is too powerful.

You asked him to get your costumes.

It's so late, but he still agreed to go.

And he didn't ask the servant to do it.

It seems

he completely forgets about that girl

and will do whatever you say.

But Brother Zhong is so kind to me suddenly.

I feel a little uneasy.

Princess, if you are still worried,

let's follow him

and see if he follows what you said.

We can test him also.

Who?

Your Highness, please.

Princess, I told you so.

His Highness is completely obedient to you now.

Mr. Jiang's shop is closed.

He still forced it open.

He cares about you.

So he will find a way

to help you get back your costume.

Otherwise,

this medicine is not effective enough,

and we need to increase the dose.

Don't.

I'm afraid if we use too much,

he will be a fool.

It doesn't matter

as long as he loves you.

Someone.

Bring me the wine!

Girl.

You are drunk.

That's enough.

Not enough.

Who said it's enough?

Bring me the wine!

Our wine is very strong.

Enjoy while you still can.

What?

You think I can't afford the wine?

Right?

Not that.

I'm worried about your health.

I don't know how to comfort you.

Just get me another bottle.

That's comforting me.

Go.

Go and get it.

Why are you here?

I'm worried about you.

So I was following you.

It's good

for you to indulge yourself sometimes.

I thought

after drinking with him the last time,

we'd get even.

And we'll have no relationship.

Who would have known...

Who would have known

I'm still stupid.

When he talked a bit more,

I fell for him.

It was the same last time.

I thought I would never see him again after flying the Kongming lantern.

But I was stupid.

But every word he said

is a reason for me to stay.

Do you remember?

You told me you wanted to roam around the world with me.

Now I think

that the world

is nothing

but

the distance between us.

No matter how close we are,

if your heart is not with me,

then

we are a world apart.

You had too much.

I didn't!

Who said I was drunk?

This wine is nothing.

I...

I can still walk in a straight line!

Let me

show you...

show...

Let me sing you a song.

I'm good at singing.

Let's go!

All the stars follow the Plough,

the Plough...

I used to be your bodyguard.

I hope one day I can

really

do everything for you

at all risks.

I want her!

But after going through so much,

I'm not who I was.

It's fate's cruel joke.

But when I lost hope,

Zhong Wu Mei lost his memory.

Jing.

Although I have a mission that I can't let go,

I will still give you my best.

As long as you want it.

You are back.

The costume you said

weren't in the shop.

Sorry, I forgot.

I took it back a few days ago.

Look.

The costume given by King of Bei Yu

is really extraordinary.

Do you like it?

This is our local costume.

Every girl in our place will use the splendid clothing

and brocade with her mother at the age of 15.

We soak it in the dew from March and the flowers in of May.

Dry it after dipping.

A girl will wear it

for her lover on the wedding day.

Yu Er,

you're pretty.

Brother Zhong.

Today, I come to see you in my local costume.

I think it's time

for me to serve you.

I can do it myself.

Brother Zhong, don't stand on ceremony.

It's cold tonight.

Then I'll ask Shan to bring some warm bedding.

It's not so cold with you in my arms.

Brother Zhong, don't be nervous.

In fact, I'm more nervous than you.

We haven't said anything intimate for a long time.

The moon is pretty tonight.

It's cool at night.

Although the moon is pretty,

we'd better not go to the courtyard to enjoy the moon.

I'm not talking about that.

We shouldn't waste such a beautiful night.

Don't you understand what I mean?

Yu Er.

What's wrong, Brother Zhong?

I almost forgot

I need to finish some paperwork.

Seriously?

Do you have to talk like that?

I'm the closest to you.

I just want

a proper wedding night.

Is it so hard?

Everyone in the house knows it.

Although I'm the consort,

I'm not your real wife yet.

Tonight,

you have to give me an explanation.

I should keep my promise.

Yu Er,

you are beautiful.

And you put on this gorgeous dress for me.

It's my blessing.

I think

I should at some point

let everyone in this place know

that you're the mistress here.

But

before I can give you a proper wedding,

please let me fulfill my promises.

I tried hard to get all this.

Even if it's a dream,

I never want to wake up.

How did I get myself drunk?

But I can drink much more now.

Zhong Wu Mei my ass.

Cold-blooded and ruthless!

Bastard!

How dared he say

I have no parents and no discipline!

My biological parents in the system

were killed by my fake father, the Grand Chancellor.

Only the people who were in court on the day

when the Grand Chancellor defected

know about it.

In order to avoid the humiliation,

His Majesty blocked all the news.

Even Zhang Ji and Xi Que didn't know anything.

Since Zhong Wu Mei has lost his memory

and forgot everything about me,

how did he know?

Unless...

Unless he has remembered everything!

Bingo, you're right.

Zhong Wu Mei has remembered everything!

Fortunately, you found the information just in time.

Otherwise, game over.

Since he has remembered everything,

why didn't he tell me?

Here's a hint.

The gaily-painted pleasure-boat. The poison of flowers.

The shortest straw.

Seven days left.

From today on,

follow consort everywhere.

Keep her away from any water.

Make sure she's safe.

His Highness asked me to give this to you.

What's wrong with you, Zhong Wu Mei?

I know you are there.

Even if you're hiding from me, I need to know!

How dare you be so rude?

Why should I be polite to you?

How dare you!

This idiot.

He always does something

extreme to protect me.

He keeps pushing me away and keeping me out of danger.

This time, too.

He's close to Wen Ru Yu

just to drive me away.

It's all my fault!

He almost succeeded.

So he's in danger again

this time?

Right!

Next, there will be a major event.

Zhong Wu Mei

will be in greater danger.

He needs your help.

And you're the mistress,

you can choose to go or leave.

Stupid question.

He's my love.

Of course I'm going!

There are important clues in Grand Chancellor Mansion to help Zhong Wu Mei.

Grand Chancellor Mansion.

You're awake.

Thank you for sending me here to rest.

I'm going to Lin Zhen

to talk to people from Qi Yu's Chamber of Commerce.

Come with me if you're free.

Okay.

I've been staying in Sheng Jing for a long time.

I'd love to go out.

But I have something urgent to do.

I have to go to the Grand Chancellor Mansion first.

So...

Go ahead.

You don't ask me why?

Whether it's for nostalgia

or something important,

as long as you have a reason,

why should I ask?

Would you like to visit Lin Zhen with me

after it's done?

Father.

My girl.

Father.

Why did you come so early?

You've been in Sheng Jing for a long time,

yet you don't look slimmer.

Father.

There are two hours

before I'm going to meet His Majesty.

Before I go,

I have to give this to my beloved girl.

My childhood favorite.

Thank you.

Where's Wu Mei?

He went to get the clothes for the banquet today.

We will go to the palace with you.

Is he...

He's very nice to me.

Oh, Father,

Shan has told me about the powder.

Everything went well.

That's good.

Yu Er,

I will make you a queen.

Queen?

Father, what are you talking about?

I'm a consort.

So Shan didn't tell her

all the plans.

Yu Er, it's fine.

Don't worry.

Just leave everything to me.

Father.

Are you hiding something from me?

Aren't you coming to Sheng Jing

for me?

Princess.

Your father came all the way to Sheng Jing.

Of course, there is something more important.

How dare you!

Who are you? How dare you talk like that?

Yu Er,

don't be rude.

You are?

Grand Chancellor Lin Fei Yu.

As expected.

The gate of the Grand Chancellor Mansion has been closed,

and only a few people know about the back door.

But why there is no dust

or cobwebs?

How could there be such things?

Someone was here?

Sulfur.

Nitre.

Cotton thread.

Map.

Judging from those things,

there should be about a dozen people

gathering here before.

Sulfur, nitre mixed with carbon.

It's the formulation for making gunpowder.

Cotton thread.

Cotton thread is the trigger for igniting gunpowder.

[The Grand Chancellor hired people to gather here]

[and make gunpowder?]

[He plans to ignite it in the palace?]

How can I stop him?

Jing, you are finally back.

I have an important thing to tell you.

Me, too.

-Brother Zhong has remembered it all. -Zhong Wu Mei has remembered it all.

You knew it?

You know that, too?

How did you know that?

After I met you yesterday,

I wanted to ask Brother Zhong.

Unexpectedly, I was stopped by the guards.

Consort says

no admittance is allowed.

I'm looking for His Highness.

Consort says

no admittance is allowed.

Otherwise, the medicine isn't effective enough.

We need to increase the dosage.

Don't.

I'm afraid if we use too much,

he will be a fool.

It doesn't matter

as long as he loves you.

I went back to the shop

and stayed till very late because

I had some urgent work for Nan Yan.

Then...

You scared me, Zhong.

It's in the middle of the night,

you break into my house.

What are you up to?

I'm here to get the costume.

Give it to me now.

Last time, after Jing wore your

mother's costume by mistake,

she hasn't worn any costume

for long.

Did you make

Jing angry again

and want to make up for her with a new dress?

Not for her this time.

It's for Yu Er.

Your Highness, you have lost your memory and don't remember Jing,

how can you remember making clothes for her before?

Zhong Wu Mei!

We've been friends for years.

You pretend to forget everything, and you're hiding it from me.

I am very angry.

Do you know

the time when he remembered everything?

He told me frankly

that it was the last time you drank together.

But I don't understand why he's hiding it from you.

In fact, he is...

No.

I can't tell Jiang Xuan Yu the truth.

I can't get him involved.

He wanted to see if I would be angry

and leave him.

Really?

What can I do for you?

That's why I came to you.

Go.

Consort says no admittance is allowed.

I'm here for you, little brother.

There's one thing I don't understand.

Why are there so many mosquitoes here?

Look.

I've been here twice only.

I've been stung a lot.

Can you help me get rid of them?

Are there?

Look!

They're all around you.

Look.

Brother, move!

Don't you feel itchy?

I...

Good willpower.

Good!

Brother.

No mosquitoes, eh?

Like cures like.

I!

What are you doing, Mr. Jiang?

-Stop him! -Like...

Yes. Yes

Like cures like.

-Mr. Jiang! -Mr. Jiang!

-Mr. Jiang. -Don't touch me!

Calm down.

It would really hurt.

Don't touch me.

Mr. Jiang.

Like cures like.

Thanks to his help,

otherwise, I can't get in.

Miss.

Xi Que.

You're back, Miss.

As soon as I got back, Yu told me you had left.

I couldn't go look for you.

I have to wait here.

I thought you didn't want me anymore.

I'm coming back now.

I am good.

Don't cry.

Miss.

You have to promise me

that you will never leave me and run away.

Okay. I promise you.

But before that,

Xi Que,

you have to help me

get the token for entering the palace.

Miss, you're going to the palace?

And

the eunuch clothes we made when we were bored,

bring them to me.

Okay.

Fortunately, I've got everything.

No one can recognize me now.

Seriously?

My portrait?

My irresistible beauty

is kind of troublesome sometimes.

What should I do?

Please come to my house some other day.

Sure will do.
