Master,

those things look interesting!

Mister, give me two of those.

Why are you stalking me again?

My lady, go home with me, ok?

This is your lady!

Yu!

Come back now!

Xi Que,

are you alright?

Father, let go of me!

I won't marry Councillor Dong to be his concubine

even if you beat me to death!

Don't make me!

Or I am killing myself right now!

You!

[Yu- Girl from Nan Yan]

Do you want me to die?

Listen to me,

and put the dagger down.

Put it down!

Put it down!

We go back now!

Come with me!

Come!

What are you doing?

She just said she didn't want to!

How can you force your daughter

to get married?

The groom has given us the bride-price.

He is coming to pick her up!

What should I tell him if the bride is gone?

Why do you have to tell him anything?

She is your daughter!

Miss, you don't know about it.

The councillor wants her.

We dare not say no!

A despotic gentry

uses his power to force people.

Shame on him!

My daughter is lucky to have the councillor.

Sir,

please don't make things difficult.

I beg you!

Please!

He is right!

Mister, why don't you mind your own business!

The groom is Councillor Dong.

He is not to be offended!

Yeah!

The locals are so intimidated by him!

Please don't interfere.

We don't mean to get into this,

but you should ask your daughter

whether she is really happy

to marry that Councillor Dong.

I would rather kill myself than marry him!

Did you hear that?

Miss, we obey the councillor

to lead a life in this town.

We lower class

can never afford

to go against the councillor!

I beg you!

My daughter doesn't get it,

but you two please be good people,

and let us get away with this.

Please! I beg you!

I beg you!

Father, at worst we can return to the country.

Don't be so servile.

Our store has been through three generations!

I won't sell it

even if it means I have to sell myself!

Yu, go back with me!

Go back with me!

What is the bride-price? I'll pay you!

If the councillor causes you any trouble again,

just tell him your daughter

has already been my servant!

Master,

we don't have much money left.

OK,

he will give you the money.

Sir, what is the bride-price?

Move!

Who are we having here

in our humble place?

Let me see.

Who wants to buy my woman?

Me!

My dear future father-in-law,

I already took a sedan chair myself to marry my Yu.

What do you want from me?

What are you playing here?

No. How dare I!

It, it was...

It's me!

I want to buy the girl.

May I ask what's the bride-price Your Highness has given?

I will pay double.

Interesting!

Are you seriously taking her away from me?

Yu, I did not expect that

you have such a handsome lover!

What did you say?

She is the servant girl my wife wants!

How dare you

take His Highness's woman!

Get down on your knees and apologize right now,

and His Highness will let you live.

Do you know who I am?

Such rude people!

Don't you...

Master!

Did she just punch me?

Yes, master.

Who?

It's me!

This girl

is not unattractive!

I like that!

Get her for me!

At your service!

You!

You must be tired of living!

Just wait and see!

No one have dared to do that to me

in my territory!

Let...Let's go!

Yes, master.

Wait!

Master!

Get back!

Don't pursue broken rebels.

Get away from me!

This gentleman is so kind!

People are looking at us!

You make us feel avenged!

Yeah!

You are so compatible with each other!

Yes! An ideal couple!

Although you were really manly just now,

I haven't forgiven you!

If I am not mistaken,

somebody just wanted to buy a servant.

Who will pay for her?

Master, we don't have enough money either.

We gave it to the poor along the way.

Go pawn this,

and give the money to that mister.

I...

Master, you can't do that.

Miss and mister, we cannot accept your money.

The councillor won't quit it.

I think you should leave as soon as possible,

or you'll be in trouble.

Go!

Go now!

If it was not for people like you,

there would have been less trouble in this world.

Now that he can beat off Councillor Dong.

he must be able

to pay for the bride-price too.

Jiang!

Mr. Jiang!

I was taking a drink nearby.

Didn't expect to witness

such an exciting fight show.

Can't believe we can meet here, buddy!

Oh,

Take this to pay for Councillor Dong's bride-price.

Is that enough?

Yes, yes.

It is funny though.

The councillor just gave us

a bag of flour as bride-price.

It is really nice to meet you guys.

Thank you for your help!

For what has just happened, we can't stay here any more.

And you heros should go find your own shelters too.

A bag of flour in exchange for a girl,

or you can't do business in this town?

There is no law here!

You don't know.

He is law here.

Just calm down.

As long as my friend stays,

the councillor can't harm you a bit.

Today we are resting around here,

so if he comes again,

we'll make him sorry.

OK?

I am sorry for getting you into trouble.

There is nothing I can do to pay you back!

Don't do that!

It was no bother.

Councillor Dong won't let this go.

He is so powerful

that no one can go against him.

You can stay here,

but I and my daughter are going back to the country.

Yu, go pack our stuff.

Father, we are not going.

The heros are going to get this right.

We should trust them.

I don't want you

to be treated like that anymore.

Sir, no worries.

Like what your daughter said,

you go on with your business,

and we know what to do.

Bad news!

Boss, bad news!

There...

He is the governor of water transport.

I had no idea that Nan Yan was such a place

where people could be killed in an inn in daylight.

Master,

the governor of water transport was murdered

at Pavilion Suding.

His body has been sent to the bureaucrat's office.

What?

Bring me a horse.

And tell my wife,

and the mistresses

to take the valuables

and leave.

At your service!

Master,

aren't we going to teach that bastard a lesson?

What's the rush now?

You like the girl Yu, don't you?

You don't want to get her?

You stupid boy!

Don't you see the pendent on his waist?

The dragon pattern on it

means that he must belong to the royal family.

Do you remember

the news from Sheng Jing

that Prince Yuan Zheng has eloped with a medical girl.

They are said to be heading south.

Those guys are probably with him!

What hard luck on me!

The governor just died in our place

out of all places.

Chances are they will find out something.

But we didn't see any killer-like people.

You idiot!

What's the good of your brain?

Killers don't look like killers!

It was either the assassin sent by Officer Lin,

or people from Qi Yu did it.

Master, you are so smart!

I must tell Officer Lin about that

to thank his help in my promotion.

But as to what's to be done about the murder,

he will manage it himself.

Here, it's your favourite!

Don't come close!

You are still mad at me.

You haven't apologized,

and I won't forgive you!

We are still at war!

Hey! You two did

a really good deed just now!

Oh, don't talk about it!

You have no idea

how I got kidnapped and brought here!

I just wanted to take you out and chill.

Here, have some fish!

Fish is tasty!

Yeah, eat some fish!

As I see,

somebody has been acting entitled

in the name of "chill".

Jiang,

fish is good for your health!

Eat more!

I'm glad that you came to Nan Yan,

or I would be alone

and really bored!

Xi Que, say something.

Master, what His Highness meant is that...

As the saying goes,

Talking and drinking are all that should be done when friends meet.

Sir,

get me your fanciest wine!

I am knocking back with Mr. Jiang!

OK.

I have never been this nice to a woman before.

Don't go too far!

You...

Miss and mister have been so nice to me.

I feel huge gratitude to you!

It's all about me.

Sorry for being a bother to you.

No, it's not about you.

Miss Yu really has a greatful heart!

You surely are not a bother.

What bothers me

is somebody being petty-minded.

Who is somebody?

Who is being petty-minded? What do you mean?

Buddy,

we all say that

husband and wife don't hate each other for longer than one night.

Couples would fight and end it in a short time.

Lady, that means you too.

You should stand in your husband's shoes.

Maybe on some occasions he is right,

alright?

You two,

can you please make peace

for the sake of the beautiful view and the nice food,

and me as a guest?

Let's drink!

Here you are!

You can't drink.

Why not?

I am drinking!

Master, you will get drunk!

I get drunk?

Impossible!

Again.

You don't know you can handle drink.

This quarralsome yet loving couple.

Jing,

why don't you know my feelings for you?

Zhong Wu Mei you jerk!

Zhong Wu Mei you goon!

Your Highness, please let me attend master.

You can go keep Mr. Jiang company.

That's fine.

You please take care of Jing.

Let her drink more water

when she wakes up.

As she is so weak-headed,

she must feel umcomfotable when she is conscious.

I'll do it.

I have found out about

the grand chancellor's people.

It does have something to do with Councillor Dong.

But,

when the governor of water transport got murdered,

he was with us.

That is strange.

Did he come to support the grand chancellor's people,

distracting us so that they could kill the governor?

Governor of water transport is not a high position,

but he is critical to water carriage.

They knew in advance

that we were going to meet the governor in Nan Yan.

They not only are well-informed,

but also have a good deal of force.

If the assassin was not sent by the grand chancellor,

then chances are

he was from Qi Yu.

It is a shame that we came here late.

As His Majesty predicted,

they will start in Nan Yan,

and use the waterway to realize their plot.

Qi Yu is threatening the safety of Sheng Jing.

Wu Mei,

I command you to head for Nan Yan tonight.

But

No need for "but".

I know what you are worried about.

I want to agree,

but she is the daughter of a culpable official.

The whole court is watching us.

How can I reinstate her?

Although she is not the birth daughter of the grand chancellor,

she married you

as his daughter.

Only when you and Jing find the grand chancellor

can I officially reinstate

your consort.

Now, Nan Yan is the best entrance

to the capture of the grand chancellor.

Then how should I take action?

The new governor of water transport is going to take office.

There will be blockages

in our water carriage.

I have secretly sent people for information,

and knew that some forces want to do something to the waterways.

Just the grand chancellor is so slick

that there is no trace of him at all.

We can only terminate

all his old accomplice in Nan Yan

to get him out

and catch him and his people.

Now you go find the governor of water transport,

and meet with him.

Keep your eye on the waterways.

I see.

I went to the bureaucrat's office this morning,

but got no clue to the governor

and found no evidence

of the grand chancellor's conspiration with Councillor Dong.

But now we know that

Councillor Dong got a fortune from nowhere

while he has not done well in his business these years.

I checked on it,

and found that it was from the grand chancellor's another old accomplice.

He has accumulated a great deal of wealth in Nan Yan.

I don't want to admit it,

but I cannot help suspecting that

the Tang family is involved.

How about Miss Tang?

Meng's father has been very ill,

so I will continue the ascertainment

as I pay visits to them and supervise the salt business.

Hopefully she is not involved.

Thank you for taking the lead

and coming to Nan Yan.

Oh, don't mention it!

If it's not for His Majesty's foresight

and your relentless help,

I wouldn't have found that

Sheng Jing is in such a danger.

Actually,

you are in the greatest danger now.

Have you thought of how to tell Jing about it?

Better not to tell.

Fine.

You are really hard on yourself

not to tell her

but hold it in.

Master.

Bro, what fun did you have

wandering around the town today?

The breakfast bar in the east street sells perfect steamed buns.

Right,

I am taking Jing to try some tomorrow.

You must!

I will sent a secret message to His Majesty.

You please act as the occasion demands.

I will go to the salt divisions tonight.

You take care of Jing. Stop bickering.

Your Highness, if Her Ladyship asks about Mr. Jiang...

Tell her that Jiang has something urgent to do.

Not anything else.

I don't want her to be worried.

Yes.

My lord,

I just got a message from Prince Jing Yuan,

and have been waiting for you here.

Here you come, my lord.

[Leng Wu Xie- Secret guard of Lin Fei Yu]

You are quite considerate.

I have been feeling worried these months

and dying for a chance to see my lord.

This I took out

before the burial of Lady Wan.

Fei Yu.

Wan,

only you can match the red apricot hair clasp.

Wan!

Good!

You deserve to be my trusted man over these years.

My lord, you saved my life.

I won't reject dying a thousand times for you.

Now everything is under our control,

and the money from Tang family has been in place.

Only King of Bei Yu is quite stubborn.

We must have a back-up plan

in case that this one doesn't work.

How about Prince Jing Yuan?

Do we need his help?

It's none of his business.

Although I have lost my position,

with my former prestige in the court,

I surely

will not have to be absolutely obedient to Jin Chen.

And you please continue carrying out

the plan for me.

Yes, my lord.

Right, my lord.

I also have got some news about Councillor Dong.

Zhong Wu Mei and his people have arrived in Nan Yan,

and we have some men in Nan Yan.

How should we counter them?

Remove them all.

Xi Que!

I was driven off by His Highness.

He said he had told the innkeeper

that we were two couples

so as to hide our identites.

Did he?

It must be that master hasn't sobered up yet,

and His Highness wanted to attend her.

You are the only one that I can turn to.

Oh, then sit.

Do you think His Highness will wait

until master wakes up?

I want to take care of master.

His Highness is certainly there to look after Her Ladyship.

Besides, they are a couple.

That

is supposed to happen.

What is supposed to happen?

Them living in the same room.

You mean, tonight we...

I am sleeping beside the door tonight.

I am staying with you,

and will keep you safe.

Miss Xi Que please have an early night.

It is not nine now!

What's the matter?

Is somebody outside?

No, no.

Why do you look so scared?

You! Come here!

Don't move!

Behave yourself!

It's not good!

Zhang Ji, bad news!

Master is punishing His Highness!

Are we supposed to stop her?

They, they will be fine.

What if master is still mad at His Highness

and hurt him?

That won't happen.

Why do you think His Highness

had to bring master to Nan Yan?

Well...

I have no idea.

You blush everytime you lie.

What are you hidding from me?

No... nothing.

Nothing?

I won't talk to you any more

if you don't tell me!

Please!

Xi Que,

His Highness doesn't allow me to tell Her Ladyship.

Actually!

If I tell Xi Que

that this secret trip to Nan Yan

was an order by His Majesty the King

in order to reinstate Her Ladyship,

and if His Highness knows

that I let it out,

I am in for a severe punishment!

It's better to say that this is a spontaneous trip.

That can save Her Ladyship from worries.

I got it!

They could be doing...

doing...

Oh I see.

I knew why you blushed just now.

Zhang Ji, you dirty man!

I...

My love!

Can you stay still?

Well...

It is late.

I think tonight

master won't need me.

I am going to bed now.

My love, easy, please!

Easy!

It hurts!

The glue is so sticky!

Just like the 502 Super Glue.

Easy, please!

It hurts so bad!

Don't think that I will forgive you

just because you were good today.

As you willingly took the punishment,

you can be pardoned for two hours.

But this is not over, alright?

Your beard is awful!

It's worse than that of Councillor Dong's.

How is my beard worse than his?

You are not...

Are you even jealous of his beard?

I am jealous!

And I am doing this!

I can't hear any fighting noise

from His Highness' room.

They may have made it up.

Are you cold?

No, no.

Really?

I am ok!

Why don't you come get tucked in!

There is only one blanket there.

Use it to cover yourself, Miss Xi Que.

You are a girl. You can't get a cold.

But if you get a cold,

you will be slowing down His Highness tomorrow.

This goon!

Your Majesty!

The new governor of water transport

was murdered in an inn.

It is said that Councillor Dong has gone with his family.

He can be afraid of the joint accountability.

As is ascertained, he has conspired with the grand chancellor.

New leads have been found about the grand chancellor's old accomplice.

It can be the business tycoons in Nan Yan.

Prince Yuan Zheng will look into it

and inform Your Majesty.

Must tell Wu Mei

to be more cautious.

Yes!

Your Highness, I have received a secret report.

There are suspicious victuallers at the dock.

They can be those

who want to do something to the waterways.

We must find out who they really are

to see if Tang family is involved.

Remember

not to alert anyone!

Your Highness, are you having a turn of the love flower poison?

I am fine. I just need some rest.

We must check on the victuallers now,

so that Jing won't need to be waiting.
