My mom is in a play.

- My grandparents moved out

of the city years ago.

And when they became very ill

and couldn't take care
of themselves anymore

my mom moved into their home

so she could be close to them
and got another degree.

But while she was
getting it she took

an acting class,
and she kind of, like, had fun.

- So fantastic.
- So she's in the local play.

- Oh, my God.
- My mom's doing this play.

She's always doing plays
or giving a recital,

or she has an art showing.

She's kind of had
this really cool resurgence

and this really cool rebirth.

She's way more artistic
than I'll ever be.

Isn't that cute?

I mean it's really fantastic.

- Well, it's very inspirational.

Honestly, I wish I could go.

- We decided to do an event
for him in our store.

I think that there has to be

It would make it increasingly
more difficult to move forward.

I wouldn't say I'd put
my wholehearted trust

in Lisa Rinna.

She can be super charming,
and you really feel, like,

connected to her

and that you can trust her.

And then you blink your eye,

and it's something
entirely different.

- But maybe she thinks
that's the right thing to do,

in her defense... sorry.

What if that's the way
she does things?

I don't, but maybe she thinks,

"It's Kyle's sister, you know.

To make the peace I'm gonna
say this," or whatever.

It's not the way
I would go about it.

Maybe she just does that.
That's just how she is.

I don't know.

- I've never understood why
Kyle gives Rinna such a pass.

I'd be more pissed off
with Rinna

than I would be at Eden,

so trusting and so open,

I remember my mother. She was in

She was sitting in our den,
and she was crying,

so hurt and so devastated
that this man had left her.

And I just grew up very,
like, controlled.

And I remember in that moment
looking at my mother saying,

"I'll never be like that."

I'll never f... ing be that weak.

- But when you meet new people,
'cause you must... I mean you're...

- Well, I... we already know.

I mean everyone always says
that I'm guarded and controlled.

- Everybody's entitled to be
how they are.

- Well, yeah. It doesn't mean
that I'm not sympathetic,

or empathetic,
or that I don't hear you,

or that I don't relate...
It just means

that when it comes to me
sharing back,

I watch and I measure.

My mother was very hard on me
when I was a child.

I think she was raising me
how the world was treating her.

- Have you been hurt?
- Well, not necessarily that.

I just grew up that way.

I think it was all
with good intention,

and a little bit of impatience,

and a little bit of being
a single mom.

And a little bit
of being overwhelmed.

- It's sometimes
very difficult to read you,

and I like to meet people.

I'm engaging.

I'm, you know,
talkative and so on.

Until someone kind of gives me
a reason not to.

You know, that's just
the way I am.

- I think you're the reverse.

that's the total opposite.

I got that about her
from the moment I met her.

My grandparents swooped in

and helped my mother
when she was working

or she was busy,

I lived with my mom
the whole time.

at my grandparents'.

- My grandfather is really

the only father I've ever known.

He was wonderful.

He provided for a lot of people.

What's all this stuff on my bed?

You know what's
really interesting?

My grandmother, you know,
suffered from Alzheimer's

for over a decade,

and then she died just...
Almost two years ago.

- Was it a slow...
How it developed or just...

- The most slow, most agonizing,

most heinous disease ever.

And she started forgetting
where you are

and forgetting...
And then it goes down

to not being able to write,

not being able to walk,

not knowing anyone.

And the worst of all,
losing speech.

You know, and just having
that whole thing,

so she suffered,
but she is out of pain.

For sure. My grandmother
and I used to speak on the phone

for an hour every day
about nothing.

When those phone calls stopped,
that was the hardest,

because I knew
she could no longer communicate.

We would bring her dolls,
you know,

because she still enjoyed to,
you know, hold...

Like, you know babies
and things like that.

So this was Baby Blue.
This was her Baby Blue.

I had always gotten
such strength

and such love
from those phone calls,

and when they stopped,
it was a real marker of,

"This is over, Erika."

Like, the woman
that you know is no longer.

It's nice to still see
that her things are still here.

Even though they were
painful memories,

they're still
very important to me.

You know, it's what it is.

What are you gonna do?
People get sick.

You know, she was so vibrant,
and she was so strong.

And to see someone like that
just slip away

is... it's inhumane.

It was always,
