[Episode 17]

Why are you nervous? Aren't you a hunter?

It hurts! You have a lot of strength in your grip.

Master!

There are seven or eight obvious traps within a hundred steps ahead.

The hidden ones...

See? I wasn't lying.

We'll take a different path.

We can't let this interfere with what we need to do.

And you said this is the shortest way to get to Heng Yang city?

What a fool!

Let's go.

Little brother,

goodbye.

Come out, Miss Wu.

Thanks so much for saving me.

How's your injury?

I'm fine.

Miss Wu.

General.

-Who are you? -General, he saved me

from Disha.

Disha?

Thank you for saving her. May I ask for your name?

You don't need to thank me.

Where is your family, Miss Wu?

Why is there only one person accompanying you?

-How do you know... -Don't be nervous, General.

Since he knows my identity, he should also be aware of what's happening.

I believe he's on our side.

I would really like to thank you for saving me,

but I want to return your sword first.

It's my responsibility, so you don't need to thank me.

I am from 48 Strongholds,

and I was told to watch over your family.

Before I left the Strongholds, I had seen your portrait so I recognized you.

Now I understand. Do you know Ah Fei?

Of course. You have met Ah Fei?

Where is she and the others from 48 Strongholds?

It's a long story. Ah Fei is in Heng Yang now.

She asked this general to take me to Lord Gantang.

Lord Gantang?

You are trying to find my uncle, Zhou Yitang?

Are you Ah Fei's cousin?

So you must be the nephew of 48 Strongholds' Chief Li

and grandson of South Blade Li Zheng.

Mr. Li, I am Wen Yu.

I am Lord Gantang's assistant.

So you are General Wen Yu?

General Wen, Disha's Gu Tianxian was here just recently.

We need to hurry and leave so we won't run into problems.

Gu Tianxian was here?

Yes, I saw their token of authority.

Why are the people from Disha here?

Mr. Li, you must come with us and report everything to Lord Gantang.

No, General Wen.

I heard them talking about going to Heng Yang.

I am concerned they have bad intentions going there.

You need to hurry and tell this to my uncle

so he can prepare.

What about you?

It's not too far to get to 48 Strongholds from here. I can accompany Miss Wu there

in a short time.

No, she is the daughter of General Wu and you are the nephew of Lord Gantang.

I cannot leave the two of you in danger.

General Wu, aren't the residents of Heng Yang more important than our personal safety?

General Wu, he's right.

We cannot give an opportunity to Disha

if they intend to do something bad in Heng Yang.

The residents there will be in danger.

Not to mention, Ah Fei is inside that city.

If that's the case, you two should quickly get back to 48 Strongholds.

Be careful on you way .

Take it, Miss Wu.

Thank you, General.

Goodbye; take care.

Miss Wu, let's go.

Heng Yang.

Brother Xie, where are we?

Ah Fei, we have arrived in Heng Yang. Hang in there.

Mister, if there is nothing else you need, I'll be leaving.

Wait. Are there any theatrical troupe performing in Heng Yang recently?

Theatrical troupe? I haven't heard.

How about you give it more thought?

Have you heard anyone talk about it?

Now that you ask like this, I do remember something.

Recently some guests were talking about

theatrical performers that came here.

These performers are originally from Heng Yang.

However, they are usually away and traveling throughout the year.

Even though they are seldom here, they are quite famous.

Only the rich and powerful

have access to them.

Do you know where they are staying?

Look, I am just a lowly employee.

How would I know?

Fine, help me find them.

If you find out where they are, I will gave you twice the money.

Thanks, Mister.

Ah Fei, how are you feeling?

Do you want to eat something?

Or do you want to sleep more?

Why are you trying to find the theatrical troupe?

It's because Madam Nishang, the owner of the Yuyi theatrical troupe, can cure you of your internal injury.

You put in so much effort bringing me here

because she is the only one who can save me?

Yes, so don't worry.

I am not worried.

I am not the person who is trying to find her.

I'm guessing Little A'Yun must be thinking

why would such a profoundly mysterious person save you?

That name is too corny. Stop using it.

You can still get mad?

That proves you're not really worried.

Don't forget I'm the famous Royal Highness of Sorrow.

We'll go meet her soon.

What is your relationship with the owner of this theatrical troupe?

How can you be sure that she will save me

whom she doesn't know?

It will take some effort,

but most female theatrical performers are not going to say no to me.

I guess so.

Are you worried that in trying to save you

I will be seduced by the theatrical troupe girls?

Go and pledge! Quickly return the name of Little A'Yun to its rightful owner.

You're still this fiendish.

Fine. I'll go find her for you right now.

Ah Fei.

Ah Fei, are you alright?

I'm fine.

Go.

Alright.

Wait for me. I'll be back soon.

Wait.

I can't go in looking like this.

[Rising Spring Rouge]

This is the Royal Highness of Sorrow they recognize.

Manager Wang.

Sir Royal Highness of Sorrow?

May I ask if you have a new libretto?

I am accepting librettos.

It's still the old price.

The libretto still hasn't been completed. Please wait a few more days.

When it's ready, I'll come find you. I won't break your rules.

Then you're here today to...

Has the Feather Robe Troupe returned to Hengyang this time?

The Feather Robe Troupe is not in Hengyang. Y-you should go looking somewhere else.

Leave. Leave quickly. Leave!

- Do not keep searching. - Manager Wang.

Leave quickly!

Manager Wang!

- Eldest Manor Master. - Is there any news from Second Manor Master?

He is already on his way.

We have been in constant communication. Please rest assured.

Good.

Waiter, are the rooms upstairs ready?

They're still being sorted out. They'll be ready soon.

By the way, have there been any theatrical troupes performing in Hengyang lately?

Theatrical troupe? Lately people are always asking this question.

Recently, there was indeed a theatrical troupe that returned to Hengyang after spending years away.

But no one knows where they are.

Wait.

Patron, what can I do for you?

You just said that people are always asking you this question?

Besides us, who else has asked about the theatrical troupe?

No one, no...

I'll tell you, I'll tell you.

Senior Sister.

Old Li doesn't have the slightest bloodstain anywhere on his body.

He died from having his neck snapped.

Who has the audacity to touch someone belonging to our Feather Robe Troupe?

This time, Disha has entered the city to incite trouble. Our Feather Robe Troupe has already lost two secret posts.

That's why Master ordered us to keep a close eye on every remaining secret post. [Ling Yu, Feather Robe Troupe]

Didn't I instruct you not to slack for even a moment?

Old Li finished tempering metal, went to get water, then immediately entered his room.

At first, we didn't think anything of it.

When we realized something was wrong, we rushed to the back alley, but he was already...

Where is his Feather Badge?

It's missing.

Return immediately to report this incident to Master.

You can at least do that, right?

After you properly dispose of the body, come see me.

Yes.

[Rising Spring Rouge]

Manager Wang?

Manager Wang?

Manager Wang!

Manager Wang!

Ling Bo! [Ling Bo, Feather Robe Troupe]

- Senior Sister. - Didn't I tell you to watch after the cosmetics shop?

Oh no, something's gone wrong!

Let's go.

That's strange. Why is the door open?

Senior Sister!

It's all my fault. I caused Manager Wang's death.

Now is not the time to say these things.

His cause of death is the same as Old Li. And they're both missing their Feather Badges.

Why are you here?

I came to give Manager Wang my newly written libretto.

Royal Highness of Sorrow?

To my surprise, as soon as I entered, I was knocked out.

After I came to, my hands and feet were tied up.

Who was it? Did you them clearly?

No.

First help me get untied.

Wait. Leave his hands. Untie his feet.

This... What are you doing this for?

Follow me back to Firewood Cloud Residence to meet Madam.

Take him away.

Hurry up!

Miss, how much longer do we have to go?

What are you pressing me for? Cross a few more streets and we'll be there.

I really have no strength in my legs.

Royal Highness of Sorrow, what new libretto have you written?

It's the story that takes place on the battlefield.

You brought it, haven't you? Let me take a look.

It's in my bosom. You can take it yourself.

- It's not there. - It's not there?

How come it's not there? It shouldn't be like this!

I just finished writing the libretto. I didn't even have the time to make a copy!

Could it be that I dropped it at the cosmetics shop?

Then how about I go with you to retrieve it?

This... this back and forth

wastes too much time.

How about this? I'll first tell Madam the general idea of the story

and see whether or not Madam likes it.

So now you're not worried about your new libretto?

Royal Highness of Sorrow, you should leave.

You're not an old man at all.

- Who let you pretend? - That hurts, that hurts!

I—

I just do this work to make a living.

If it was really as you said, that person would not have left you alive.

So when you got there, Manager Wang was already dead.

You pretended and hid in that corner just waiting for us two to find you.

All of this was to follow us back to the Feather Robe Troupe.

Tell me, what exactly are you up to?

You don't suspect that I killed him?

One, you and Madam are old acquaintances.

I can't think of your motive to kill.

Two, I checked the condition of your pulse.

You don't have a shred of inner force.

Manager Wang's martial arts are not beneath yours.

Tell me, what exactly are you trying to do?

Since you two are from the Feather Robe Troupe,

I will tell you the truth.

I have a friend with a serious illness.

What does that have to do with my Feather Robe Troupe?

Only Madam's Floating Wave Palm can save her.

- On what grounds should we save her? - I hve something that Madam wants.

Then hand it over and I'll pass it on to Madam for you.

Today, you're not getting into the Feather Robe Troupe.

Fine. Even though you don't have anything on you, I will still pass along your message.

Ling Bo, let's go.

Miss—

- Ling Bo! - Senior Sister, it's nothing serious.

I was just worried he would quietly follow us.

In that case, treat it as a little warning from our Feather Robe Troupe.

Royal Highness of Sorrow, don't get tangled up any further.

Printed cloths! Take a look at these printed cloths!

Printed cloths!

Take a look! [Firewood Cloud Residence]

Firewood Cloud Residence?

Thanks to you, those little drugs can't do much to me.

But at this crucial moment, you better not cause trouble for me.

Royal Highness of Sorrow?

Precisely.

Right now I can't attend to him.

This time, even though we discovered Disha's tracks in advance,

we still lost four of our secret posts.

It seems that they came just to target our Feather Robe Troupe.

In the coming days, we will strictly check the guests who come carrying the Feather Badge.

Disha's actions

are presumably meant to tell me overtly

that they've arrived.

Manor Master.

There's news from the theatrical troupe?

To report back to you,

we've destroyed four of their secret posts and obtained three Feather Badges.

We've captured a few of the Feather Robe Troupe's scouts, but...

They've all died?

These people would not talk no matter what. In the end, they all killed themselves. I handled affairs unsuccessfully.

I ask Eldest Manor Master to punish me.

A woman who sings little songs

managed to earn this degree of devotion.

She has indeed proven herself to be Madam Nichang.

If I haven't guessed incorrectly,

the people who act in such a manner

must be the head of Disha Shen Tianshu's subordinates.

Then Master, let's cancel tonight's show as well.

- I worry... - No need.

We will open our doors and welcome guests.

Yes, Master.

You have done what you can.

Thank you, my lord. The signal has been lost,

what should we do next?

Hengyang city is vast.

Once Nichang is aware,

finding her won't be easy.

- Flowers? - No need, thank you.

Take a look, fresh flowers.

A' Fei.

A'Fei, why are you up?

I want to wait for you.

Don't worry, I'm blessed, I won't die.

Alright, I'll take you to see Madam Nichang.

My Lord, should we make our moves?

Keep an eye on them, find out where they're heading.

Don't let them find out.

Understood.

[Firewood Cloud Residence]

It wouldn't be a problem if I was alone, but I'm afraid A'Fei won't be able to bear this kind of disturbance.
