[Hayate the Combat Butler] Episode Twenty

But Xiao Sa didn't call me.

He did, he called multiple times.

You didn't answer, that's why he called me to check on you.

Really? Then why didn't I get anything?

It looks like someone installed a signal blocking device.

What is that?

It prevents you from getting calls and messages.

So you really are under house arrest.

Despicable. It must be Head Butler Ke's doing.

He's really ridiculous.

This is too much!

I know, why is he forcing us to get married?

I don't know.

He keeps nagging about fulfilling Mom's wishes.

He said the marriage was decided between Mother and Aunt Mei Qin.

I really don't know why he's being stubborn.

If Mom was still here, she wouldn't agree to this.

Then quickly tell Head Butler Ke

that both of you are unwilling to get married.

It would be nice if it was that simple.

What about Master Di?

I haven't been able to contact him.

He might be at another country furthering his business.

My affairs, including this wedding, isn't as important as his business.

What should we do now?

Xiao Zhi, I forgot to tell you that Xiao Sa's parents were in a shipwreck.

He's waiting for news at Mitsuda fishing port now.

How did this happen?

I need to quickly find Xiao Sa.

- Xiao Zhi! - How are you going to help him?

But Xiao Sa is there by himself.

Let me take care of Xiao Sa.

Hello, Ji Shen?

Send our coast guards to the coast of Yilan immediately

to search for Xiao Sa's parents.

Do everything you can.

Ju Xuan.

Don't you like Xiao Zhi a lot?

Now you can marry her.

You should be very happy.

I told you before that I've given up on Xiao Zhi.

- And... - And what?

Nothing, let's go.

Are you going to use that sour expression to see your parents?

Young Master Ze Yu, why are you here?

I'm here to help you.

Thank you, Young Master Ze Yu.

You should thank me.

I already sent our family's coast guards

to search for your parents.

Really?

And...

We already found them.

Let's go.

Excuse me, where is the Ling couple?

Over there.

Dad! Mom!

Mister, who are you looking for?

I'm sorry.

Excuse me are you the Ling couple from the shipwreck?

Yes. My surname is Ling.

I'm Ling Lin Yu. How can I help you?

I cannot believe it was such a big mix-up in the end.

I'm sorry, Young Master Ze Yu. I've troubled you.

My parents like to look for loopholes in life

so, I really thought they would look for buried treasure.

Dad, Mom.

Where are you right now?

Although my ability to exterminate spirits has disappeared

my instincts are still accurate.

I believe they're doing fine.

Really?

You should be more worried about Xiao Zhi and Ju Xuan's wedding.

- Impossible. - Why is it impossible?

The Mistress promised me that she wouldn't...

Xiao Sa, you probably don't understand kids that grow up in families like ours.

Happiness is like an extra thread on a clothes.

It can be taken off any time.

Love is not worth more than family interests.

So, you would sacrifice yourself any time to marry someone you don't love?

That's correct.

But things can change for the better.

Change for the better?

Are you willing to take a chance?

I don't think Master Di knows about Xiao Zhi and Ju Xuan's marriage yet.

Master Di doesn't know?

How is that possible?

Based on my understanding of San Qian Yuan family, this is possible.

Only no one can reach Master Di when he's the only one that can resolve this.

Young Master Ze Yu.

Let me go in by myself.

- Can you do it? - I should face this on my own.

Thank you.

Master Di.

You actually found this place.

I didn't think that people lost contact with you.

You just didn't want to contact other people.

So...

So I thought...

You're very smart indeed.

You knew that I would only turn off my cell phone when I'm at Jing's studio.

How can I help you?

Master Di.

Did you know that Head Butler Ke is forcing

Miss Xiao Zhi to marry Young Master Ju Xuan?

I didn't know.

Then please cancel the wedding.

- Why? - Because she doesn't like him.

Then who does Xiao Zhi like?

If the person Xiao Zhi likes

cannot stop the wedding himself

and need an old man like me to stop it

do you think that he deserves her?

You can leave now.

Is what Master Di said right?

I don't have confidence in myself.

I'm not confident that I can give the Mistress happiness

I blame everything on being poor.

I didn't even give the Mistress a chance.

I believe that two people in love

can get through any difficulties.

That's right.

I want to give the Mistress happiness.

I must stop this wedding.

So pretty.

So beautiful.

You look exactly like Miss Jing back in the days.

So beautiful.

Are you done?

It's not like I'm marrying you, Ke Lao Fu.

Head Butler Ke, this wedding dress was designed

by a famous designer from our French headquarter.

It's a classic and it's one-of-a-kind.

I believe Miss Xiao Zhi will be the most beautiful diamond at the wedding.

All right, are you done talking yet?

Xiao Zhi, you look very beautiful today.

Are you saying that I didn't look good before?

Your personality isn't lovable.

Only I would like you.

Seeing Miss Xiao Zhi in a wedding dress

makes me feel that she has really grown up.

Yes.

When is Master Di coming back for the wedding?

He won't be...

He will be back soon.

I meant to say how can he not come back, right?

Miss Xiao Zhi.

It would be great if Miss Jing can stand here and see how beautiful you are.

I blame Miss Jing for insisting on marrying a poor and short-lived young man.

Otherwise, she wouldn't have passed away so early.

That happened eight hundred years ago.

Why are you still talking about that?

- That's true. - Excuse me, everyone.

If nothing is wrong with the wedding dress then I'll leave it here and take off.

- Okay, take care. - Thank you.

- Great work. - Great work.

Very beautiful indeed.

Didn't I tell you that I like is Xiao Sa?

I know.

Then why did you look at me like that?

I really think you're beautiful.

Ju Xuan, don't tell me you actually want to marry me.

I'm not crazy. Why would I want to marry you?

But, you said you liked me before.

Even you said it was before.

I don't anymore.

- You really don't? - Yes.

That's good.

- Now what? - Let me ask.

Are you an idiot? No calls can be made here.

Can't I take a look at the time?

Okay, it's almost time. I'm going to go meet them.

Hey.

Will this work?

Don't you believe in Xiao Sa?

- Of course I do. - That's good.

Everything is going according to plan.

Or do you really want to marry me?

Idiot. Go, quickly.

All right, I'll stop messing around. I'm leaving.

San Qian Yuan's exclusive Bai Huang church is

located behind the mountain of the mansion.

You must pass the checkpoint at the foot of the mountain to enter.

As far as I know, Head Butler Ke will increase the manpower

to prohibit uninvited people or cars from entering.

Isn't there another way to enter?

There is an industrial road in the east

but it collapsed and is still under repair.

That road is too dangerous.

I don't care. That's the only entrance.

I'm going even if it's dangerous.

Chu Ju, are there still a lot of people outside the church?

Looks like Head Butler Ke doesn't plan to withdraw the guards here.

I thought there would be less guards during the wedding.

Is Ze Yu and Xiao Sa here yet?

Xiao Zhi, don't worry.

They should be here soon.

In regards to the security guards outside the church

my sister said she'll distract them away.

Miss Gui has a plan?

Even though my sister is usually a loose screw

sometimes, her terrible plans are quite useful.

Why are there people here?

- Did they find out about the plan? - That's right.

Have you heard of the phrase 'Walls have ears?'

Aunt Sha Sha?

Ke Lao Fu, Xiao Sa is really here.

You can send all your men here now.

Aunt Sha Sha, you...

Come on.

It is just a wedding ceremony. Is it necessary to do this?

Looks like only I, Gui Xue Lu, can defeat all the enemies.

Oh, no! Look!

- There is a fire over there! - Go!

Go take a look.

Okay, that's what I'll do.

That way, all these people will leave

and Xiao Zhi can escape the wedding ceremony.

Oh, no! Look!

- There is a fire over there! - Go!

- Miss Gui. - Why are all of you still here?

How can we help you?

I... Over there...

There seems to be a bit of a fire.

Shouldn't you do something about it?

Miss Gui, are you trying to cause trouble?

No, I'm not. Don't come closer.

- What are you doing? - Wait!

Honey.

Please don't act recklessly.

Young Master Ze Yu.

I'll take responsibility of whatever happened.

Why are you bothering the guards for no reason?

I was trying to trick them away so that Xiao Zhi can escape.

What are we going to do now?

My sister told me to do something and I didn't do it. She's going to scold me.

Miss Gui, if you want to help, there is something you can do.

Mistress, are you ready?

Mistress?

Head Butler Ke, I'm sorry

but Xiao Zhi needs more time to get ready.

- Mistress. - Is there a need to rush?

I apologize.

Mistress, take your time. Pardon me.

Aunt Sha Sha, Ju Xuan.

Is Mistress Xiao Zhi ready?

She's almost done.

- Let me go and take a look. - Okay.

Ke Lao Fu.

Today is such an important day.

Why is Master Di not here yet?

Well... the Master is working on a lot of things.

But he'll be here very soon.

- Is that so? - Yes, yes.

- But I think it's strange. - What?

Didn't you notice? There aren't many guests here.

Even though Ju family went bankrupt

San Qian Yuan family has an international business.

Yet representatives from each country also didn't come.

There are only a few reporters.

Don't you think that it's strange?

Aunt Sha Sha, don't think too much.

It's not strange at all.

Our Mistress doesn't want this ceremony to be extravagant.

She didn't want to invite too many strangers.

It's better to be low-key.

- Is that so? - It'll be fine.

Yes, yes.

Be careful.

So beautiful.

The... Where is the bridesmaid?

Let me go check.

No need. Maybe she's using the restroom.

Let's follow the bride.

Okay.

Young Master Ju Xuan, how long have you two been dating?

Excuse us, let us pass. Let us pass.

Come, come.

Wait!

I said to stop that stinky...

- Young Master Ze Yu. - Are you surprised?

You... you...

Head Butler Ke, are you okay?

Let go of me. Young Master Ze Yu!

Can you explain yourself? Why are you stopping the wedding?

Young Master Ze Yu.

Please let go of the Mistress right now.

Why are you running from the ceremony? What is going on?

Young Master, don't worry.

Everything will be fine.

I think Xiao Zhi is already very far away.

I'm little worried.

She's here, she's here.

Be careful. Over here.

Come. There are clothes and cash inside.

Quickly leave. Let us take care of the rest.

Thank you, Miss Gui.

- You're very reliable. - Don't say it like that.

I'm reliable now because of the support of my honey.

But where is Xiao Sa?

Xiao Sa?

What are you trying to say?

You...

Go!

Go away!

Make them leave. Make all of the reporters leave. Go away. Go!

Where is the Mistress?

You all worked together to trick me?

Don't worry.

I'll will leave no stone unturned to find the Mistress!

There's a bad person!

Mistress, it's me! It's me!

- Xiao Sa? - It's Xiao Sa.

Xiao Sa, I'm so sorry. I attacked you really hard. Are you okay?

I'm fine. Mistress, let's leave.

Leave quickly. Don't come back!

- Good bye. - Honey, I'm so scared.

You're too fast.

Xiao Sa, the east industrial road is over there.

- You're running in the wrong direction. - The plan changed.

Ke Lao Fu. Xiao Sa is really here.

You can send all your men here.

- Aunt Sha Sha, you… - You what?

Didn't you hear that I told Ke Lao Fu to send all the guards here? What?

Do you want to stay here and be captured?

- But... - Quickly come with me.

So, we're going through the main entrance. Hurry.

Xiao Sa, wait a minute.

Mistress, I'll carry you.

Come.

Qian Tai Sui?

What?

Mom's Qian Tai Sui.

What is it doing here?

Doesn't matter. Let's get on the horse.

Okay.

Mistress, I'm sorry. Please get off.

- Get out of the way. - We're just following orders. Sorry.

I told you to get out of the way. Didn't you hear me?

- I'm sorry. - We'll get off.

Xiao Sa, are you okay?

I'm fine.

But...

The royal jade is shattered.

Is the royal jade shattered?

Let go!

Let go of him. I'll just go back.

Xiao Sa, I know the reason why Qian Tai Sui is here.

Isn't Qian Tai Sui here because Young Master Ju Xuan

or Young Master Ze Yu prepared it?

After Mom's death, Qian Tai Sui

was specially taken care of under Grandpa's order.

Why would it end up here?

Master Di arranged this?

But why would he do that?

Xiao Zhi?

The plan failed.

Mistress.

I think we should continue the wedding.

Uninvited guests can leave now.

Ke Lao Fu, you can stop making orders now.

Tell Grandpa to come out.

Master still has some things to do. He has been delayed.

Is that so? Then why is Qian Tai Sui here?

Qian Tai Sui?

Why would Qian Tai Sui be here?

All right, Ke Lao Fu.

Stop it now.

Grandpa?

Master, I'm sorry.

I did everything without authorization.

But I did this for the Mistress.

Moreover, it's also Miss Jing's wish.

I just don't want the Mistress to suffer the same misfortune as Miss Jing.

Jing's misfortune was because her life was too short

and didn't have enough time to enjoy more love.

That had nothing to do with Xiao Zhi's father.

But, Master.

He knew he didn't have much time when he married Miss Jing

yet he insisted on being with her.

Don't you think that he's selfish?

He used all his life to love Jing.

How is that selfish?

I think you're the one that is selfish.

You never wanted Xiao Sa and Xiao Zhi to be together.

Is it because Xiao Sa is doing something you didn't dare to do?

Master.

Ke Lao Fu liked Mom back in the day?

Yes.

But he doesn't dare to transcend the boundary between a butler and his master.

But Xiao Sa dares to, so he always hated Xiao Sa.

You... What do any of you understand?

He owes a huge debt.

How can he give the Mistress happiness?

Head Butler Ke, I do owe the Mistress a lot of money.

But, I don't want to let go of her because of that.

I know that I'm Ling Qi Sa

and that Mistress is San Qian Yuan Zhi.

The gap between our backgrounds can never change.

Instead of focusing on the difference between us in the beginning

we should work hard together to the end.

When we become old

if I can be beside the Mistress

to take care of her

and to protect her

that would be more than enough.

Xiao Sa.

- Do you think you can... - Enough.

No one can guarantee that they can give someone happiness.

Everyone can stop talking. Let me tell you all...

- Master! - Grandpa!

Has Grandpa's health always been this bad?

Yes.

That's why Master wanted to quickly pass all of the enterprise

to you.

Why didn't you tell me?

That is because he didn't want you to worry.

Master, how are you?

Child, don't cry.

I'm not crying.

You got it wrong.

That's good.

Dad is scared of seeing you cry the most.

Dad?

Jing.

Are you here to pick me up?

I also want to go with you.

But I can't go right now.

If I leave, what will happen to Xiao Zhi?

Master.

Mistress, excuse us. Please wait outside.

Xiao Sa.

Grandpa is so old now.

He's not the Grandpa I know.

I would rather he be the lively Grandpa that hates me.

I think you must have always misunderstood the Master.

It's not that he didn't want to see you.

He was afraid of seeing you.

Afraid to see me?

Why?

Because, Mistress...

you're looking more and more like Miss Jing

Every time he sees you

he would be particularly depressed.

Xiao Zhi, long time no see.

It's all right.

Since you left me here when I was six

we only haven't seen each other for twelve years, that's all.

Is that so?

You're looking more and more like Jing.

Mistress.

I think Master Di isn't as strong as you think he is.

Maybe he doesn't have the courage to look at you.

Impossible.

Do you know what's another name for Angelica?

What?

Zhi. So, to Master Di

Miss Jing and Xiao Zhi are definitely very important.

So important that you two are his weaknesses.

Xiao Sa.

What you said was true.

Mistress, don't worry.

Master Di will be fine.

Master.

Master, the doctor said the surgery was successful.

He especially advise that you shouldn't overexert yourself

or else your heart can't take it.

I know my own body.

Yes, sir.

Xiao Sa, you're here.

Xiao Zhi, I'm sorry.

All these years you must had suffered a lot.

Grandpa is a big idiot.

The one that should apologize is me.

I broke the royal jade, and that caused you to become ill.

Silly child.

How is my health relate to that jade?

The royal jade legend is fake.

- Fake? - Fake?

San Qian Yuan family failed to get the throne.

And was sent to exile by the monarch.

Even though our family was exiled

our family didn't wane.

Instead, we became more prosperous.

In the end, we established San Qian Yuan Corporation.

So, everyone passed on the false legend.

They said that San Qian Yuan family has a lot of money

because of that two pieces of jade.

Two pieces of jade?

If you split the words of that character

it becomes royal jade.

It's because of the legend of the royal jade

that endangered the lives of each generation of our family.

I don't wish for that to continue.

That's why I told Xiao Sa to break the royal jade during the ceremony.

I see.

So you wanted me to break the royal jade

because you wanted to protect the Mistress?

Xiao Zhi.

Go pursue your happiness.

Xiao Sa is a good kid.

He'll definitely give you happiness.

In regards to paying off the debt

use your whole life to protect Xiao Zhi.

Use your life to pay off the debt.

Yes, Master Di.

This is the park where I first met you.

Is that so?

Xiao Sa.

Why did you bring me here?

The vending machine is still here?

I now know that

vending machines don't accept credit cards.

After I met you, I know more about things that I didn't notice before.

Mistress.

Did you know that there is a type of bird that can fly backwards?

Fly backwards? Really? Impossible.

Hummingbirds can.

Because its wing is super powerful.

In a second, it can flap its wings sixty to seventy times.

With such a fast speed, without momentum it can hover in the air.

It's the only bird in the world that can fly backward.

Really?

But why are you telling me this?

If its possible, I wish time can go backward like hummingbirds.

Miss, I want to capture you.

I'm serious.

Please don't reject me.

I'm not misunderstanding anything again this time, am I?

It's definitely not a misunderstanding.

Xiao Zhi, I love you.

Please let me stay by your side.

Stay by your side forever. Is that okay?

Okay. I agree.

But if you dare to cheat on me, then you're dead.

[This month's bestseller.]

[Yes! Mistress. By Ling Xiao Zhi]

Did Xiao Zhi take her husband's last name as her pen name?

And all of the drawings are based off of her love story with Xiao Sa.

They are not married, yet they are this close.

It's quite unbearable.

At least they're able to be together in the end.

I envy them.

You and Ju Xuan are doing well.

You two often go to the night market and eat.

Isn't it normal to go to the night market with a good friend?

Yeah, and we invited you today.

That's right.

All right, at least you still have some conscience to think of me as a friend.

Let's all buy a book each.

Okay.

Let's go.

Xiao Sa, look.

Maria sent us a letter from South Africa.

- How is she? - She's doing fine.

But why did she want me to change Royal Garden School back to Bai Huang School?

I think she's moved on.

Whether she's Maria or Fiona

to her

all those memories are precious.

That's why she wants me to change Royal Garden School back to Bai Huang School.

She cares about the days she spent at Bai Huang School.

Oh, that's right. Xiao Sa.

The published called to ask

when I'll be done with volume two.

Congratulation, Mistress!

I'm sorry. Congratulation, Xiao Zhi.

What should I draw for volume two?

We're not in a rush.

Starting from right now, we have a long time together.

We can think about it slowly.

That's right.

We can think about anything slowly

because we have a lifetime together.

I'll always

always be your butler in debt!
