- When I was asked to give
this Christmas message

for the first time last year,

I wanted to honor
my father's legacy,

show my love for Galwick,

and retain your faith
in the monarchy,

and let's be honest.

I didn't do a very good job.

Last week, my mother and I
found ourselves

stranded in a town
called Kentsbury, Connecticut.

The people there took us in
and treated us like family.

And one very special person
showed me

that I didn't need
to prove myself at all.

I simply needed to open
my heart and be myself,

with all my flaws and mistakes
and imperfections.

The one thing
that has never wavered

and will never waver

is my love for this country
and the people in it.
