that we can't help Alice
celebrate

the next leg of her journey

everybody I let go can.

I talked to management.
I made an appeal,

and the senior staff
at the hospital,

and almost to a person,
everyone agreed

on a 5% salary cut
for the upcoming year,

to keep everybody on

until I can find
a more hospital-friendly way

to save some money.
