site is likely to continue,

to Muslim worshipers.

More days bring
increased tensions

as Palestinian worshipers,

gathering for prayer outside
the entrance to the holy site,

were refused entry
into the Old City.

Security forces instead forced
them back down the street.

Palestinians claim
that Israel's continued closure

of the contested shrine
is under the guise of security,

an attempt to change

the status quo of the mosque for
political and religious reasons.
