Once upon a time, there is a Miracle Clinic in Linan.

(Miracle Clinic)

Inside the clinic is Dr. Miracle.

It's said he's a gifted doctor.

All his patients will recover within a fortnight.

Number cards are sent out once a month.

On that day, many patients line up to get the cards.

The queue would block the way.

Don't push.

Make some room.

My turn!

That's it.

We're out of cards.

That's all for today.

Guys.

Terribly sorry.

We're out of number cards for this month.

Come back earlier next time.

Please go home.

That's all.

That's all. Please leave.

All sold out.

Alas.

Bad luck again.

(Miracle Clinic)

No way.

I can no longer wait.

I have to get a card today!

I'm Su Xiaowan,

sixteen years old.

I make a living by selling flowers.

Flowers?

Would you like some?

My parents passed away early.

I live with my younger brother.

He suffers from leg problems.

I'm determined to cure his legs at all cost.

I'm counting on this clinic.

However...

on that day,

an unexpected man has disturbed my plan.

It's said he's a handsome and educated gentleman.

He's the Young Master of Gu's family, who's known for jewelry making.

He's Gu Yanxi.

With his unique style,

the ornaments he designed all sell well.

With him,

Gu's family is well-off.

Aloof as he is,

he remains unmarried at the age of 18.

Thousands of maids are crazy for him.

An accident...

kicks off...

our story.

A Love So Romantic

Episode 01

Meeting an old friend in Gu's Mansion. Waiting for the lover in the moonlight.

Mr. Gu.

She's got a serious illness.

The reception can't triage her.

May we cut in line...

and have Dr. Ru Ying check her?

It's not serious.

Don't bother him.

A friend of mine...

once showed the same symptoms.

He was cured with a folk prescription.

Would you mind share it with us?

Blood-letting through Shenting point.

In practice,

we'd use a bodkin.

This will work.

I'm quite experienced in this therapy.

I cured my friend with my own hands.

Have faith in me.

She faints again!

Bad news.

Hurry.

Get her inside.

Are you alright, sir?

What's going on?

Go get changed.

Let's go!

Since I was born,

it strikes me twice a month.

Here.

Let me see your tongue.

If you ask me,

it's not a serious illness.

What do you think is serious?

I'd say... hematemesis?

Take this prescription.

You'd be fine.

Ah...

Next in line!

Hey...

hold on.

Oh!

Is this serious enough?

You just said...

it strikes twice a month.

That's why I want a number card.

So I could visit you...

the next time it strikes.

What's your name?

Su...

Xiaoan.

Okay.

Su, S-U.

Xiao, X-I-A-O.

Wan...

where

A-N resides.

Su Xiaoan.

Em.

(Su Xiaoan)

The next time,

come here with the number card.

Thank you!

You come to conscious so quickly!

Dr. Ru Ying is excellent!

Thanks for that.

So you're cheating us for a card!

Cut it off.

Cheater!

Fake ill to get a number card!

Return the number card!

Right! Give it back!

Attest me, Dr. Ru Ying!

I'm innocent!

Ru Ying?

Hey!

Get her!

Take her down!

Stop looking! Run!

Oh...

What's going on?

A dog bit me.

What's its breed?

The teeth look neat!

It just ran out from your place!

You should know it!

Em.

You know it's fake ill.

She must have done it for a reason.

Whatever reason she has,

she's a cheater.

Enough for that.

Right.

How's your grandma?

She took the medicine.

But it's not working.

She's gone worse this time.

And she's absent-minded.

I'm here to invite you to the mansion

and check on her.

See if you have any other ways.

Lady Dowager is suffering from anxiety.

Without inner peace,

she can hardly be cured.

(Search notice for Gu Waner.) I'm sorry. There's little I could do.

It's been ten years.

We haven't heard from Waner.

Unless she's found,

grandma will not be cured.

Don't worry, An.

You'll be fine.

Soon enough,

we'll go to the clinic and have your legs cured.

What's more...

I got a number card for the Miracle Clinic.

Let's go there tomorrow!

Em.

Where is it?

Attest me, Dr. Ru Ying!

I'm innocent!

Ru Ying?

Hey!

Get her!

Crap!

What's wrong?

Ah... never-mind.

I left it behind in the clinic.

I'll go fetch it.

- Who are you? - Anyone?

Shh.

Hello?

No one here.

Shh.

Keep quiet.

What if you attract them?

What you just did...

it could be loud.

You could be injured!

Unprofessional.

Is it?

I've been doing it for years.

I'm still in one piece.

For years?

For such a young age,

you should get a job.

Ah?

Quit this career soon.

I thought...

you and I are alike.

Are you kidding?

It's my first time.

Young Master of this family...

took away my stuff.

By the way...

do you know the way to his room?

Yes, I do!

Listen carefully.

Take that valley.

Turn right.

And right again.

His room lies in the end.

Thank you!

I'll keep your kindness in mind.

See you, brother.

See you.

See you.

Alas.

I'm here on business!

Yuan He.

Clothes.

Me?

Stop staring.

Get me dressed.

The belt?

It's you!

No, it's not.

Did you see anything?

No. No.

Nothing!

Hey...

I saw nothing!

I caught you cheating during the daytime.

So you went after me.

Now you're stealing from me.

I admit.

I shouldn't cheat for the card.

I'm Su Xiaowan.

It's for my ill brother.

There weren't enough cards.

Sold out in the morning.

I...

I wouldn't do it if I have other choices.

My card ends up at your place.

So...

For real?

I promise! It's true!

It's in your pocket!

You're saying...

I took your stuff...

and I wronged you.

I wouldn't deny it...

now that you admit it.

That's all for our conversation.

Save it for the judge.

Hey! Please don't!

It's right there!

I'll leave once I get it.

I'm not stupid.

Huh?

Guards!

What are you doing?

Stop bullying me!

Me?

Is there anyone else here?

I see.

Sure, you're rich. So what?

I know you're Young Master.

Still you have no right to rob me!

Stop taking advantage of your wealth! Stop the bully!

Huh?

Em?

What do you want?

What do I want?

I...

Rat!

Guards.

Guards!

Sir.

Sir.

I'm here.

There's a thief! Go after her!

Take her down!

Yes, sir!

Lunatic.

- Yuan Shuang. - Sir.

What's the fuss?

A thief got into Young Master's room.

He is furious.

He ordered us to capture him.

Right. I left my textbook outside.

- I'll get them. - Second Young Master, I'll do it.

- No need. You can't find it. - Okay.

It's all for you, card!

I nearly get killed at such a young age!

- You, go over there! - On it!

You guys. That way.

Okay.

- Don't leave anything behind! - Yes, sir!

- Shh! - What for?

Guards.

Movements over there!

Check it out!

Who is it?

Stop looking!

I'm on a date!

Get lost!

Search for the thief! Go!

Let's go.

You're so considerate as a servant.

It's not safe here.

You should leave.

Listen up.

Go there...

take the turn, climb the wall. And you're out.

Okay.

Won't you leave with me?

Sorry, I can't.

It's too dangerous that way.

I'll go that way.

Brother A'Ye!

First, to heaven and earth.

Second, to madam.

Madam.

With A'Ye here,

you shouldn't worry about me.

You will get better soon!

Third, between the spouse.

Husband.

Husband.

Husband!

Liar.

Don't you call me that way.

Give me back my jade!

Hey.

But you haven't told me your name!

Now we're married.

You're my husband.

I should know my husband's name.

You're asking for too much!

The jade pendant looks beautiful.

If it falls to the ground...

what would it be?

I'm... Gu...

I'm A'Ye!

I'll call you Brother A'Ye.

Brother A'Ye.

I will find you.

So, he's Su Xiaoan.

(Miracle Clinic)

That's right.

He's Su Xiaoan.

I'm Su Xiaowan, his sister.

I'd like to explain the number card to you.

I know you faked it.

I was just curious...

why would a girl spit out blood

in exchange for a number card.

Pain?

Nothing.

- How long has it been? - About a year.

Last year,

he picked herbs with me.

Accidentally, he fell off a cliff.

He survived the fall.

But his legs were badly hurt.

I heard about this clinic in Linan City.

That's why I get here.

You've come to the right place.

To be honest...

there is no medicine for him.

But it is worth trying...

to cure such an illness.

An ancient book recorded an acupuncture therapy for it.

Applied with vulnerary herb,

it would help fix your brother's legs.

Great!

It's just...

What's that?

The treatment will last long.

The price could be high.

As long as he recovers,

I will find ways to get the money.

Flowers!

Flowers!

Flower...

Recruiting maids!

We can get to see Young Master!

Right!

(Recruiting six maids and six servants in Gu's Mansion)

It's said Gu's pays the highest salary here.

For real?

- Gu's? - I want it!

It's Mr. Poker Face!

I'd rather not.

I can make a living elsewhere.

Hold on.

It's not like that.

Once I get there,

I get to see Brother A'Ye!

(Gu's Mansion)

Gu's family...

is a noble family in Linan City.

We're strict with the maids and servants, too.

Ready...

Go!

To be a maid here,

you must be strong and healthy.

And work quickly.

Good looking is required.

Never annoy the madam and the young masters!

This one looks promising.

Take this plate.

(Ranked the first) Report to the butler.

These are all the new maids.

Please check.

You can't see me.

You can't see me.

Raise your head.

Young Master is talking to you.

Young Master.

I just catch a cold.

I cough a lot.

Sorry to disobey you.

Don't get infected.

It's you.

You know her.

I thought we stick to a high standard.

Why is a filthy girl here?

Mind your language!

I ranked first in your tests!

That's right.

She's the first to get the plate.

Neat and fast.

Take the others away.

I'm curious about her ability.

Yes, Young Master.

Come with me.

That's a monster!

Planting them before joss stick burns out.

How's that possible?

Whatever.

For Brother A'Ye,

I'll do it.

Finally! It's done.

I must report to Poker Face.

He will be convinced.

Ouch.

Madam.

Watch your step.

Careful.

Waner!

Grandma, watch your step.

Careful.

What?

Madam.

I'm not her.

Waner!

It's you! You're back!

Well, madam.

Take a seat.

- Sure. - Here.

I'm not Waner.

You're mistaken.

Wait.

Where are you going?

Madam.

I'll get a maid here.

I'm in a hurry. See you!

Waner!

Young Master. It's all done!

The stick has burnt out.

Yuan He.

Cast her out.

Hold on, I finished it a while ago!

I was held off!

Let me explain!

Go there!

You can't do this!

No one will expel Waner.

Grandma. What brings you here?

Grandma!

You're finally here!

Alas.

Waner.

It is you!

Let me see.

Grandma.

I miss you badly.

- What's going on? - No idea.

Waner, I miss you, too.

Alas.

Are you doing well all these years?

Em.

Oh, my.

Look at your face. So dirty.

Yanxi.

As her brother, you should take good care of her.

Grandma.

Waner was eager to get home.

After the long journey, she hasn't get changed.

Please take a rest.

I'll guide her to you.

- Yuan He. - Yes, sir.

Lady Dowager. Please.

Waner.

Come and meet me as soon as you get changed.

Sure, grandma!

Hurry.

What's that about?

Come on.

It's not my fault.

Grandma insists on calling me Waner.

She wouldn't let me go.

Are you threatening me with her?

Allow my stay.

And I'll cheer her up.

Although I don't know who Waner is,

excited as Lady Dowager looks,

she must be important to her.

If her granddaughter disappears soon after she returns...

what would she be like?

Alas.

(Gu's Mansion)

Ready?

How is it?

The suit is fine.

Hum.

Clear out the maids in Grandma's room.

Make sure no one sees her.

Yes, sir.

- Let's go. - Em.

Remember your lines?

Sure!

- Yuan He. - Em.

(Ciyun Hall)

Yanxi.

Grandma. Waner is here.

Oh!

- Waner. - Grandma.

Here you are.

Come and have a seat.

Okay.

Alas.

Where have you been these years?

Grandma.

I can hardly remember my childhood.

My parents said...

they are not my birth parents.

They adopted me and brought me up.

As long as you're back.

It all thanks to Brother Yanxi.

He found me and brought me home.

Thank you, Brother Yanxi.

Don't bother.

Grandma.

Time for medicine.

Here.

Alas.

I don't want it.

It's bitter.

Come on.

I'll feed you.

What a surprise!

Poker Face has his tenderness.

Here.

This room?

That's the last maid room.

It's what it is.

- Hey. - Yes?

I'm Grandma's granddaughter.

That means I'm a lady.

It's not appropriate for a lady to live here.

Well...

As Young Master said, you're only required...

to feed Lady Dowager medicine twice a day.

For the rest of the time, you're a maid.

And you shall carry out his orders.

What?

Any problem?

Not at all. Sounds good.

Your clothes.

Take care.

Perfect!

I've worked hard for it.

But...

where is Brother A'Ye?

Why hasn't Brother A'Ye showed up?

Em? Here you are!

That way.

What... what a round moon!

Bath in the moonlight.

It's good for your body.

Time to exercise.

Recently,

they patrol more often than before.

You should be more careful.

Stop jumping the wall. All right?

Why would I?

Young Master.

It's midnight.

What are you doing?

I'm here to pick up wanderers.

The truth is...

many drunken men fall off to this place.

It could be dangerous if they get hurt.

In case of an emergency,

I'm here to help them out.

Find another job.

What?

Working in the daytime.

Helping others at night.

This job as a maid...

doesn't deserve your energy.

No.

Please don't.

I need money.

I need to look after my ill brother.

Brother?

Right.

Once he finds out...

about his powerful and vicious sister,

what would he think?

Hum. I'll go!

Hum.

Su Xiaowan, think about it.

Young Master can be willful.

Why can't you take the blame?

Now what?

You've made nothing at all.

Nor have you found Brother A'Ye.

Alas.

Too late to find it out.

You'd better pack up.

It's just money.

I can make it anywhere.

As for the man,

we'll meet when the time comes.

I'll just leave.

I don't like here anyway.

By the way, I should bring this to Grandma.

Grandma, medicine.

No.

I don't want it.

Too bitter!

Hate the taste?

Em.

I know you don't like it.

So...

I get this for you, Grandma.

What's this?

In this jar...

is honey.

Hold some in your mouth.

It will help.

I added some in the medicine.

Here.

It's not bitter!

It's sweet!

Do you like it?

I'll get some more for you.

Sure. Good!

Here.

Sweet, right?

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

What are you doing here?

I...

It was your advice!

I thought about it.

I want to make things right.

Luckily, Gu's Mansion...

are recruiting apprentices.

So I get here.

I'd love to learn to do business.

Why are you here?

Well... I...

What a coincidence!

I think it's important to have a job too.

So I've become a maid.

We might meet quite often!

What were you doing up there?

To get some honey for Lady Dowager.

You're talented!

Is the jade pendant with you from a young age?

This one?

What about it?

Do you remember me?

You...

the jade...

and me.

That must be when I was a child.

It's vague.

Okay.

Young Ma...

Well...

let me introduce him.

Well...

He's my roommate.

We were working together.

He was looking for the broom.

The missing broom.

Right?

Broom...

Hey.

Here it is!

Well...

No wonder it's missing.

Don't put it everywhere.

Yes? Yes.

We need to carry on.

We're leaving.

Alright.

Hold on.

Thank you for saving me!

I promise I'll repay you!

Never mind.

Wait.

Tomorrow.

Right here.

I'll give you a surprise.

Well...

It's a deal.

Okay.

Ops.

Wait a sec.

Poker Face has ordered me to leave.

How am I supposed to meet Brother A'Ye then?

Besides...

Brother A'Ye hasn't recognized me!

No way.

I can't leave.
