that Nate Wesley Junior was also deaf

and could not communicate
effectively with him

in that situation.

so that officers come out

community ready and able

to disseminate and break down situations

without having to use deadly force.

It's a tragic event and

for the tragic events

that have brought us here today.

are really going on, senseless deaths

our young Nate was full of life.

His life was brought down way too soon.

There's things that young Nate
will never get to experience.

- As tragic as these
events are, I still contend

that I behaved within the
bounds of police protocol.

Was a young boy full of life,

and it was snatched away
