Marry Me

Episode 25

Long Teng.

Long Teng.

Long Teng.

Hang in there, Long Teng.

You mustn't die, Long Teng.

Long Teng.

Long Teng

When are you going to wake up?

Long Teng, if you can wake up,

even if His Majesty kills me,

I'll stay with you.

Ridiculous.

It's a major issue,

why didn't you report it?

Please calm down, Your Majesty.

The Imperial Physician Wang hid the news intentionally.

Your Majesty,

I have sent my men to go after him.

Once captured,

we'll hand him over for your interrogation.

He has the guts to do this in the capital,

he's very daring.

Send my order,

those who are involved in the case,

will be sentenced to death.

Your Majesty,

the murderer must be punished.

But Ya Li Li is an ambassador of Ximin Kingdom.

Please calm down, Your Majesty.

I'll investigate the case with strict orders.

Shut up.

Music Bureau

Follow me quickly, or else we'll be too late.

Don't move.

Search the house.

There's nobody in the house.

Your Lordship.

Ya Li Li was seen in the city.

Step aside.

Step aside.

Follow them.

Move.

By order of His Majesty,

capture the criminal.

Yes.

Don't move.

Don't move.

-Don't move. -What?

What are you doing?

You dare to create trouble in broad daylight?

Do you know who I am?

My son-in-law is the Imperial Merchant Long Teng.

Your Lordship,

the criminal and Ju Mu'er escaped here and disappeared.

-Search. -Yes.

What are you doing? This is ridiculous.

Jinlong Inn

Step aside.

What are you doing?

-What's the matter? -What happened?

-Mr Tie. -Young Master Yue.

Check on the situation outside.

Yes.

You don't need to go.

Ms Ding is here.

They are searching for the fugitive,

everyone is panicked.

Then what are you doing here?

You are opened for business,

I can come in of course.

But under the circumstances,

you still have the mood to hang around?

What do you mean?

What are you up to?

I won't lie in front of you.

As soon as I know you're in trouble,

I came to offer my help.

What trouble?

You don't know?

The criminal, Ya Li Li, has escaped.

My father and his men are searching for her.

They heard she's hiding in Ju Wine House.

If she's found,

the harbourer is guilty too.

Does this concern Long Family?

-Let me go. -Don't move.

Lord Ding,

why do you arrest people and smash my shop without a reason?

Someone saw the fugitive ran into Ju Wine House.

I suspect,

you hijacked the criminal.

Step aside now,

or it'll be treated as treason,

we'll arrest you.

I believe this accusation,

even if it's the Long Family,

they can't accept it too.

Don't frame my daughter.

-Arrest him. -Move.

Don't frame my daughter.

Lord Ding.

You search without reason,

that's bullying.

If you can't find the criminal here,

what would you do?

And the damage to my wine house,

will the government compensate me?

You interfere with the investigation,

you are defying the law,

you are a citizen without virtue.

If it's not because of the Long Family,

I would have arrested you.

Step aside now,

or else I'll take action against you.

Are you going to kill me?

-Arrest her. -Yes.

Stop it.

Father.

What are you doing here?

I came to see her making a fool of herself.

Is the fugitive inside?

I believe you.

Lord Ding,

I can guarantee on behalf of my wife,

the fugitive you're looking for is not inside.

You can take your investigation elsewhere,

this maybe a diversion, the fugitive may have escaped.

Long Teng.

It's all right.

If that's the case,

why don't you let us search?

All right,

if Lord Ding insists on searching,

I'll open the door for you.

But if the fugitive is not inside,

I want you to compensate the Ju Family.

Trust me.

Why is my brother-in-law in there?

That's right.

Why are you in her chamber?

The person you are looking for is not here.

The person Mu'er is hiding,

it's me.

Any further explanation?

What you see now,

it's the truth.

Ding Residence

Stop it!

Please forgive him,

he knows he's done wrong.

Shame on you.

You bring shame to the family.

You don't respect me as your father-in-law at all.

I am punishing you today...

to let you know that...

my daughter,

must not be bullied.

Don't worry about this.

I'll take full responsibility.

Father.

When he went to see Ju Mu'er,

I already knew about it.

We have discussed about getting a concubine.

What?

However,

you were busy,

I haven't had time to inform you.

You shouldn't blame him.

What a stupid act!

I shouldn't let you marry him.

It's my fault.

I failed Xiang'er.

You are right to punish me.

I admit my mistake.

Stop talking.

We have enough problem now.

Father.

It is normal for a man to have many wives.

Furthermore,

he has a bright future ahead.

If I can have an assistant,

someone to help me,

and to help my husband,

I am more than willing.

Please don't hold him accountable,

and grant his wish.

You...

Why do you have to endure this?

Yun Qing Xian,

from now on,

if you fail my daughter again,

I'll kill you.

I will remember.

Xiang'er.

I am sorry.

We'll talk later.

I wish for the best for you.

The others,

I don't care about them.

Yun Residence

I'll get the doctor.

Xiang'er.

Sit down.

I am fine.

It's my fault,

father has every right to scold me.

I should avoid her.

The rumours out there,

you should ignore them.

Don't blame father.

I don't blame him.

Since I was little,

I never had a father figure.

That's why I made the mistake.

Previously,

I never heard you spoke about your family.

I lived with my mother.

After she passed away,

I am left alone.

You have me.

This is a handed-down jade pendant.

Keep it.

Hand it down to generations to come.

You are a married woman,

you should abide by the rules.

In broad daylight today,

Yun Qing Xian walked out from your chamber.

If I wasn't there,

you'd be punished on the spot.

Do you care to explain?

I don't have an explanation.

I don't regret what I've done.

If that's the case,

you'll be punished accordingly.

Twenty floggings.

I am guilty as charged.

I don't expect the Long Family to forgive me, I'll accept it.

To all my ancestors,

I am unfilial,

I didn't teach my wife well.

Today, I'll punish her mistake,

may you be my witnesses.

Li Ke.

Do it.

Must you carry out the family punishment?

Do it.

Yes.

Young Master Yue.

No.

I didn't teach her well,

I should be punished.

It has nothing to do with you.

Second Brother said,

the ancestral hall...

is set up for him today.

From today onwards,

you, Ju Mu'er,

will regain your freedom.

She's not associated with Long Family.

I made the mistake.

If I must leave,

I must be punished.

Long Yue should not take the punishment for me.

Li Ke.

Do it.

Do it!

No.

Mu'er.

No.

No.

Don't do it.

Don't do it.

Divorce letter

Divorce letter

This Li Ke,

I treat him as my brother,

but he beat me so hard.

He could just pretend to beat me.

I'll seek my revenge when I've recovered.

Long Fei.

Keep it light when you put on the medication.

If you can't do it,

you can get Nanny Yu to do it.

Long Fei,

I said lightly.

are you taking your revenge on me?

Long Fei.

In the ancestral hall today,

was I too harsh?

Anyhow,

to receive the flogging for her,

it'll be the last thing...

I could do for her.

Moving on,

I don't know what role I can play,

to be with her.

Long Fei,

if it were you,

what would you do?

That's not right.

Long Fei's hand...

is not so soft.

Mu'er.

Ju Mu'er.

Where are you?

If you have a guilty conscience,

come out and explain yourself.

Ju Mu'er.

Young Master Yue.

Young Master Yue.

What are you doing out here?

Did you see Mu'er?

I came from the front,

I didn't see anyone.

Young Master Yue,

what's wrong with you?

I am such a fool.

It's my wishful thinking,

I thought she'd admit her mistake.

I still have a glimmer of hope.

She won't come back,

she doesn't want to come back.

Young Master Yue,

you must take care.

Maybe Mu'er,

she has her reasons.

See,

you care about him.

Since you're already here, why didn't you explain?

No matter what happens,

if you're willing to explain,

Young Master Yue will believe you.

I came here to visit him,

to see how he's doing.

Since he is all right,

I'm relieved.

Thank you for covering up for me.

Mu'er.

You are not a cruel person.

Furthermore,

you can't hide your feelings for Young Master Yue.

What did Yun Qing Xian do that you can't tell?

We'll part here.

The road is long,

but it must end.

Senior.

Passport

After you leave,

don't come back.

All that you have done for me,

I'll never forget.

Thank you.

You don't have to thank me.

If we have the opportunity again,

we shall play the qin together.

It's a promise.

Goodbye.

I have fulfilled my promise,

she will be safely back to Ximin.

You can rest assured.

We don't hold promises,

it's only a deal between us.

You don't have to pretend, Lord Yun.

The world doesn't know your true identity,

but I can see clearly.

Do you really understand me?

That's not important.

I don't owe anything to the Long Family now.

Since you have already fulfilled your promise,

we are no longer associated.

You are the person that I want.

You released Ya Li Li,

the credit goes to you, you are the mastermind.

If you don't respect me,

if you push me too hard, I'll reveal everything.

Mu'er,

can you give me another chance?

At least let me prove that,

-I am true to you. -I'll repeat one last time.

I left Long Yue to rescue Ya Li Li.

To you,

I have never had much hope.

Me and him,

there's no future for us.

You have achieved your objective.

From now on,

pretend that you and I...

have never met.

Maybe you should reveal everything.

At least it proves that,

you and I...

are associated.

Ju Wine House

Father, you can beat me and scold me,

I will not fight back.

You...

I am divorced.

From now on,

I can only rely on you, father.

Ju Wine House

I don't believe it.

My daughter is not that kind of woman.

Mu'er,

are you hiding a secret?

Tell me, I can help you.

No.

I am fine,

it's my fault.

This is important to a woman's reputation,

how could you be so careless?

Father.

Sister Mu'er.

Su Qing?

What are you doing here?

Did you find Ms Shu?

Lord Long and Ms Shu have not returned and couldn't be found.

I am worried for them,

that's why I am here to ask for your help.

Calm down.

No news is good news.

But we can't sit and wait either.

I'll go find them with you.

Long...

I am sorry.

I love you,

I didn't mean to startle you.

If you think we are going too fast,

I...

What?

Who do you think you are?

You come as you wish,

you leave when you want to.

How could you?

-How could you? -Ruo Chen.

I don't care anymore.

When I learnt you're awarded with the title Noble Lady,

I only have one thought.

I can't let you enter the harem.

Then,

let us think...

what should we do when we get out.

Lord Shu, calm down.

I won't take advantage of you.

Lord Shu,

you can rest assured.

If I want to hurt you,

I don't have to come personally,

and I won't wait until now.

I came today...

because I bring bad news,

and good news.

I want to tell you the news.

I wonder...

which one you want to listen first?

The good news is,

I have arranged for Ya Li Li...

to leave the capital secretly.

From now on,

no one will accuse you.

If you are found not guilty,

you'll receive a light sentence from His Majesty.

The bad news is,

it's related to your daughter.

Few days ago,

Ding Sheng ambushed your daughter on her way to the palace.

He wanted to assassinate Shu Ruo Chen.

Your daughter escaped,

but her whereabouts is unknown.

Ding Sheng.

You did this to me,

I shall seek my revenge.

Don't worry, Your Lordship.

I've sent my men out.

When I have news,

I'll inform you immediately.

You came in the middle of the night,

is this the only thing you want to tell me?

You are careful, Lord Shu.

There's one more thing.

It's you.

I came today...

with full sincerity.

Lord Shu,

you must repay with sincerity too.

Lord Yun,

you are ambitious.

We get what we need.

After all,

it's to your advantage.

In Imperial Consort Shu's possession,

there is the evidence to bring down Ding Sheng.

If I write to her,

she'll help.

Your Lordship,

when I faked my death,

I was discovered by the Long Family.

Now that I'm back to the capital,

will it cause a problem?

Maybe...

I should hide outside the capital for a while?

You don't have to go anywhere.

Nobody will believe a fugitive...

will go the opposite direction,

and hide inside here.

This place is safer than any other places.

Lord Yun, you planned it well.

I was lucky to escape.

I am able to hang on to my life...

because I want to identify Ding Sheng.

From now onwards,

you can get me to do anything.

Don't pretend, Hai Gui.

You were greedy and longed for beauty,

that's how you blew your cover in the village.

You're meticulous.

I was careless.

I won't do it again.

Stand up.

Don't worry.

I'm not Ding Sheng.

I won't sell you out.

However,

I need you to do something now.

I am at your service.

Find Long Teng and Shu Ruo Chen,

kill them.

If you kill them,

you'll offend the Long Family and Shu Family.

Are you sure they are nearby?

According to your estimation,

Young Master Teng and Ms Shu,

if they didn't escape,

it's very likely they fell down the cliff.

I've searched along the river,

I didn't find anything.

This is the last spot.

Are you still in pain?

You haven't recovered, you shouldn't walk around.

If Mu'er found out...

I am fine.

Our marriage is a business deal.

Now that the case is over,

we will go our separate ways.

Let's go.

We are out in the wild,

how come there is music?

That's right.

Let's take a look.

Sir,

where does the music come from?

Is there a village nearby?

Yes.

But there are only a few families in our village.

Few days ago, a kind young lady came.

She taught the children to read and write.

She teaches them qin when she's free.

All the farmers from around here know her.

Thank you.

Let's go and take a look.

Go home,

follow my fingering,

practise hard and you'll improve.

Yes, sister.

The matter we asked you to inquire a few days ago,

do you have any news?

The village is small.

We have asked in the nearby villages.

Apart from both of you,

no outsiders came recently.

All right, thank you for your help.

From now on,

if you see the big brother and sister I told you,

remember to tell us.

Class will end here today.

I will teach you how to write tomorrow.

All right.

Go home now, be careful on the road.

All right.

Let's go home.

Sister,

do you think we got the wrong place?

Maybe Young Lady Ruo Chen is not in the capital?

No.

The situation was pressing when they were ambushed that day.

I thought about it after that.

The most possible hiding place...

is under the cliff.

I think,

they must be badly injured.

Based on Brother Long's character,

if he leaves,

he'll leave a note for the Long Family.

In order to find Young Lady Ruo Chen,

you worked tirelessly these few days.

I am stupid,

I don't know how to thank you.

We knew each other since little,

you don't need to be so polite.

Ms Shu is also my friend.

When she and Long Teng were ambushed, I was there too.

How can I sit back and watch?

Don't worry too much,

we'll find them.

I heard you have moved out from Long Residence?

Why?

I...

don't belong in Long Residence.

Let's not talk about the past.

The most important thing now...

is to find them.

Sister,

I know something is on your mind.

You can't fool me.
