Twisted Fate of Love

Episode 12

A half of the boxes are money

and the rest are grain.

There is no ordnance.

What did you say?

Yeah.

You can make it louder

and let everyone know

what is inside the boxes.

What trick on earth are you playing?

Who is this guy?

Didn’t you hear him?

He is just a businessman.

Your Highness,

why don’t you trust me?

You really are a grain storekeeper?

Indeed, Your Highness.

Minister Feng took me here

just to buy grain from me

to relieve the famine.

You can check on his identity later.

Daole.

Yes.

Send Mr. Xu back home.

Yes.

See you.

Your Highness,

I shouldn’t have used the troops of Ministry of War.

But the people in famine are waiting.

Mr. Feng and I can’t wait and watch.

It’s a good thing to relieve the famine.

But why are you doing this overnight secretly?

Deputy Prime Minister ordered

that the famine victims can’t get into the city.

If I relieve the disaster in public,

isn’t it clear that

I’m being against him?

Your Highness.

Is relieving the famine

illegal?

Wu’s Mansion

Qingxiao failed to stop you.

You still come here.

Your Highness, please let Feng Xi go.

Do I need to let him go now?

You should beg him to let me go.

Are you alright?

My wager with the Third Prince before His Majesty

has come to an end.

How come you are so calm?

Aren’t you hiding the ordnance?

Official of Ministry of Rites resells things from Ministry of War.

No one can believe this.

It’s just your imagination.

Feng Xi,

what you want is not the ordnance?

Why are you so angry?

I’m still alive.

You should be happy.

Didn’t you

send people to give me the message?

It’s also you who stopped

Ziyuan, isn’t it?

I just want to make

the whole trick more real.

Feng Xi,

I was wrong about you.

Feng’s Mansion

Feng’s Mansion Xi, luckily, you brought the Third Prince’s

attention to Wu Xiong,

so that we could successfully

transfer the ordnance to Qishan.

Daole, are things settled down in the grain shop?

It’s already settled.

What should we do to the ordnance?

Qishan will be found out one day.

We’d better transfer it away.

Go tell Miss Murong

that business is coming again.

OK.

Taiji Hall Zhaoyang Hall

Father,

I wronged Minister Feng

about the missing of ordnance.

It is the dereliction of my duty.

According to our wager…

Your Majesty,

the wager

is just an impulsive act of His Highness.

Please don’t take it seriously.

Before His Majesty,

there can’t be any joke.

According to our wager,

I’m willing to repeal Yufeng Pavilion.

It’s your painstaking effort for many years.

How could it be repealed?

Here is it.

Yufeng Pavilion won’t be repealed.

But from now on,

you can’t participate in politics,

and,

three years without salary.

Repeal your duty of Supervisory Censor.

Do you accept this?

Yes, I accept.

Breaking news! Breaking news!

Capital Journal Imperial court issued the order to cut

Capital Journal vassal states, Marquis Dingyuan escaped!

Rice Shop Minister Feng bet with the Third Prince.

Freedom and Harmony Minister won and Prince got punished!

Yufeng Pavilion fell into disrepute.

Wenxing Restaurant Come and have a look!

Wenxing Restaurant

Mr. Feng has gone in to chat for long.

Why doesn’t he come out?

People in Yufeng Pavilion

are all stubborn scholars.

Only Xi

is patient enough to persuade them.

Daole.

Was it you who took away

my message paper?

What paper?

You pulled your arm the other day

and I helped you apply the medicine.

The guy who took away my paper

had a smell of medicine.

Daole?

It was me.

Ziyuan…

You jerk!

Do you know how worried

Dongyue was about Mr. Feng?

The guards all stopped her.

But she just rushed out regardless.

I know.

Don’t get angry.

Xi knows that

you are friends with Dongyue.

That’s why I didn’t tell you.

If you knew it,

Dongyue would know that as well.

Then Xi’s plan would be in vain.

But it’s unfair

to treat her like this.

You don’t understand.

Xi just wants her to worry about him.

I can tell

that Dongyue cares about Mr. Feng.

They do love each other

but why are they hiding it

and letting the other guess?

Actually, I think so.

Stop talking about it.

Someone is coming.

His Highness doesn’t care about politics

but he has good eyes and is able

to discover talented people.

I have heard that you’re capable of governing,

but you just idled your time here.

I’d like to recommend you to be officials.

Ministry of Rites or Revenue.

It’s up to you.

Thanks for your great kindness.

See you.

Please.

See you.

See you.

See you.

Everyone, please wait.

His Majesty didn’t order to repeal Yufeng Pavilion.

Please make decisions after more news.

His Highness has been managing Yufeng Pavilion for years.

And he treats you well.

But now you are all leaving him.

Is it right for you to do so?

Enough.

Speaking of traitors,

you are the first of it.

I persuaded His Highness long ago

that you are in close relationship with Feng Xi.

You can’t stay in Yufeng Pavilion.

But His Highness just took his own course.

That’s why the situation is like this.

Yufeng Pavilion is not broken by Dongyue.

Can you talk fairly?

Shut up.

You flunky of Feng Xi!

You…

Now Yufeng Pavilion is broken up.

Are you here to mock us?

Go back to your master!

And you!

Get lost!

Qingxiao.

Don’t be rude.

I was too naive this time

that I got into

Feng Xi’s trap.

It’s not anyone else’s blame.

Thanks for your

support for me these years.

Now

I have quitted the job of Censor.

Yufeng Pavilion don’t participate in politics, either.

If you found any place better,

I have prepared you recommendation letter and money.

Your Highness,

if you allow,

I’m willing to stay here

and follow you.

Your Highness,

I’m willing to stay here.

Your Highness,

so am I.

Your Highness,

so am I.

Good.

This is the list of masters in Yufeng Pavilion

I came into contact with recently.

And I have marked the names of

those who are interested in joining us.

Are the people who are not marked

still hesitating?

They said

they would join us.

But I didn’t see them today.

Maybe they are busy now.

I wonder how things are going

in Yufeng Pavilion now.

Daole.

Let’s go.

Since they don’t come,

let’s go to Yufeng Pavilion.

Dongyue,

thank you

for staying here to help me now.

Your Highness,

I believe that you will stand up again.

I think it’s difficult.

A fine fowl perches only on a fine tree.

If you choose the wrong leader,

there will be two results.

One is being poor forever,

the other is losing your life.

Shut up!

Are you here now

just to be a looker-on?

Your Highness’s sudden interest

in politics frightened me.

But I set up this game

just to get rid of one more enemy,

but not to take it personally.

Only fine words and evasions.

You tricked His Highness

but still asserted eloquently.

If His Highness lost,

he would only lose his future.

But if I lost,

I would lose my life.

If I was not sure of victory,

how dare I make the bet?

All you masters here

have reached an agreement with me days ago.

I don’t know why you changed your minds.

Do you want to be righteous now

and die together with Yufeng Pavilion?

You…

Your Highness,

I got things to do at home.

I’m leaving.

So did I.

See you.

See you.

Don’t leave!

Feng Xi was just bluffing!

Don’t go.

Just let them go.

Feng’s Mansion

Can you let Yufeng Pavilion go?

His Majesty has made the order.

It’s not up to me now.

I’m not as almighty as you think.

I only know that His Highness is kind

and trapped by you by ridicule.

Yufeng Pavilion is his life’s work.

Please be merciful and forgive him.

Finally I won this time.

But you asked me to be merciful?

Do you know

what my result would be if I lost?

I wouldn’t let you lose.

Just you?

You are doing this

just to draw the masters over.

I heard that you are recruiting for Ministry of Rites.

I wonder if there

is any suitable position for me.

I think you know

what I want you to be

is not only my subordinate.

Please don’t say that.

The last thing I like

is your businesslike way of talking

to me.

I remember that

you were not like this when you

came to help me in a hurry.

I’m willing to move into your place.

Then do you know

what this means?

As long as you can let the Third Prince go.

You do have affection and faith.

You can even do this for him.

You can go back to pack up now.

The sooner you move in,

the sooner I let him go.

Yufeng Pavilion

Are you also here to say good-bye?

Sorry, Your Highness.

His Highness treats you so well.

Now he is in trouble,

and you are just leaving him!

I will repay you

what I owe you in future.

But now

I have to leave here.

Then just tell us

why you have to leave.

Enough, Qingxiao.

Dongyue is not as what you think.

Let alone those who want to leave,

you care about Dongyue so much.

But now she is betraying you

just for a wealthy life.

How could you still sit by?

What Dongyue wants

is not high post

or wealthy life.

I believe that she has her own idea.

Your Highness,

I have my own reason to leave.

But now I have no idea.

So I can’t promise you easily.

But I wish one day

I can repay you

for your help and encouragement.

The whole thing is strange that Feng Xi bought grain to relieve famine

with the Ministry of War.

If Feng Xi is really helping Lu Yuantong to transfer ordnance secretly,

he will be one of the criminals.

I have to find a way to look into this.

Modesty and Brilliance

Great! Dongyue.

We can finally be neighbors!

I thought you wouldn’t be lonely

since you have Daole here.

What are you talking about?

In my eyes, Daole

is just the same as Xiaosi.

But he is serious about teaching me Kung Fu.

Looks like it won’t be long

before I finish the mission for Mr. Feng alone.

You are quite devoted to Feng Xi.

Although Feng is a shyster

in the eyes of others,

he saved my brother and me,

and helped me to become a new one.

It doesn’t matter what other people think of him.

I’ll never be able to

pay off what I owe him this life.

How I hope I can be as simple as you.

Greeting, Madam.

-Greeting, Madam. -Greeting, Madam.

I’m not your Madam.

I’m just living here for now.

You can go back to your work.

Yes.

Look at you.

You are just so stubborn.

You pulled an unwilling face just now.

It’s fine if you treat me with courtesy.

But if you dare to be rude…

Who is that?

Madam, please wash and rinse.

Come in.

I can do it myself.

I’m not used to this.

Yes.

I’ll be waiting outside.

Why are you following me?

Madam.

Master said we should take good care of you.

You can tell us anything you need.

I don’t need anything.

I’m just walking around.

Then we can walk around with you.

I…

I don’t need you to accompany.

Madam,

are you going out?

I’m just living here temporarily.

I’m not a prisoner.

Why can’t I go out?

Madam, the mansion is big.

How about we walk to other places?

Is your master grounding me?

Are you here to watch me?

We don’t dare to.

Master said since Madam moved in,

you have to obey our rules.

I have told you not to call me “Madam”.

Where is Feng Xi?

What is he doing?

I need to see him.

Are you missing Master?

We will go report now.

No! Don’t.

I don’t miss him.

Madam, don’t worry too much.

As you expected,

maybe Master just

took Dongyue in

on the spur of the moment.

But after Dongyue moved in,

he prepared all the things for her

on his own.

From my opinion,

Master doesn’t treat her so well.

Dongyue has moved in for days.

Master is not that busy these days.

But they haven’t met in private yet.

Maybe she will be driven out in days.

Madam, did I say anything wrong?

You just reminded me.

Xi has never

treated a woman like this before.

He is not ignoring Dongyue.

He is playing cat and mouse.

Yeah.

He never cares this much about

a woman.

How have you been these days?

Since I have decided to follow you,

I will do as you arrange.

Why bother to limit me here?

I still have things to do in Yufeng Pavilion.

You have moved in my place

but you still mention the Third Prince

in front of me.

Really annoying.

What are you doing?

Put me down!

Put me down!

Feng Xi!

What are you doing? Let go!

Put me down!

It’s not the right attitude to beg.

It’s easy to get your body.

But I want your heart.

You threatened me with the Third Prince

and now you want me to have a crush on you?

Don’t you think it’s ridiculous?

Don’t be so sure.

Last time when he surrounded me,

you even went to save me.

But you used my kindness

to trap His Highness.

Stop lying to yourself.

You have saved me so many times.

Do you really

have no feelings for me?

Enough.

I don’t want to beat around the bush.

I have had someone in my heart.

But it’s not you.

Is it the Third Prince?

The man in my heart

is called Eryu.

Who is he?

Where is he from?

When did you meet each other?

Lie down. It’s comfortable.

What do you want?

Don’t worry.

I won’t do anything to him.

I’m just curious about

how the man in your heart

is like.

Eryu has already gone.

Even if you have the almighty power,

you can’t do anything to him.

He is no longer in the world,

but you still have him in heart.

Looks like the two of you

had experienced a lot together.

He was the one who grew up with me.

But now

this flute is the only thing he left for me.

I’m afraid it also has a story with me.

It even rings itself when it sees me.

Mr. Feng,

is this how you get close

to a woman?

Just wait.

One day,

I will take Eryu’s place in your heart.
