Twisted Fate of Love

Episode 11

How dare you make a mess at my door?

Deputy Prime Minister,

I’m afraid you have become a dotard.

This is the Minister’s Mansion.

Not your mansion.

Don’t try to do as you want here.

I wonder who is the one doing wildly,

shielding an assassin

and deceiving His Majesty!

The scar of the firearm on the chest

of Dongyue has not recovered.

Mr. Minister, do you dare to check it?

How rude!

Dongyue is my girl.

How dare you ask her to get undressed?

How could I not know if there

is a scar on her chest?

You’ll cover her till the end?

Don’t worry.

As long as she is arrested,

I will send maids to have a check.

Everyone will know the truth

whether there is the scar!

Even if there is,

it can’t prove that she is the assassin.

I’d like to see

who dares to cause trouble here!

If you put her in prison today,

I will have a thousand ways to help her out.

It’s just an old scar.

I wonder

how you will reverse the verdict

settled by His Majesty!

Mr. Feng, you are an important official.

But you’re covering a suspect.

I wonder who will be accused by His Majesty first!

Sounds like you have decided

to be against me.

I have come a long way from an ordinary person to this.

I have no other ability

but I will never be threatened!

From now on, I will suppress those

who you want to support.

I will increase taxes if you want to reduce.

You’re old, but I’m still young.

I can’t defeat you in other things,

but let’s see who can live longer!

You!

You even leave yourself

no leeway just for this woman?

I heard you are in conflict with the Ministry of War

for reclaiming the power of vassals.

Yes, I am.

But His Majesty hasn’t decided.

How about we compromise?

I’ll take it as

you never came to my place.

And in the court tomorrow,

about the reclaiming,

there will be a result.

Mr. Feng, you are making it so easy.

How should I trust you?

It’s easy for you to arrest anyone.

But the chance to make your enemy your friend

will fleet away.

You are on the same boat with Lu Yuantong.

I don’t want to be your friend.

Let’s leave.

This old guy is really stubborn.

It wasted too much of my words.

I almost couldn’t handle it.

Your wound hurts again?

You shouldn’t have eaten marinated goose and beef.

If I didn’t do that,

how could I get you treat me?

Look at the situation now!

How could you still joke like that?

Dongyue is my girl.

You even leave yourself

no leeway

just for this woman?

If Dongyue is deceiving me,

then you are the accessory.

I take the blame.

Your Majesty, please give Dongyue another chance.

Watch out!

Why do you save me and hurt me again and again?

You are so shrewd

and I don’t know what you are doing.

From Marquis Dingyuan to the Third Prince,

from Deputy Prime Minister to Mingzhu,

you got everyone schemed.

Sometime I was wondering

if you

have any true feelings.

Why did you kill innocent people?

I only promised to help you.

As for how to do it,

it’s none of your business.

Feng Xi isn’t in the same world with me.

I can’t tangle with him any longer.

You want to move out today?

The flower last time fell into the water.

Here is another one.

In this breezy moonlit night,

the ilex flowers are blooming.

Isn’t this scene

familiar to you?

Your wound hasn’t recovered.

You should have rest.

Why bother to do this for me?

It’s just an ilex flower.

You don’t need to be grateful.

In this world,

no matter what you like,

I will put them all in front of you.

You know I don’t mean that.

You always took risks to save me.

Is it worth it?

It is if I say it is.

Our relationship

is just a cover.

Why bother to make everyone know?

What?

Is it my fault to save you?

I want to kill Lu Yuantong.

And you want to save him.

We are not in the same world.

But you also saved me several times.

This will only cause you trouble.

I will always save you even if you don’t want me to.

What are you doing?

What cover?

My feelings

to you are always true.

And you know it in mind.

You just don’t admit it.

Step forward.

Raise your right foot.

Put your left arm back.

And step down.

Thrust.

Thrust again.

Buckle back this hand.

You look so weak.

But you are actually a tough cookie.

When Xi forced me to practice,

it made me ache all over.

So I thought about how to get away from him every day.

But look at you now,

you just come to me yourself.

I’m not as strong as Dongyue.

But at least I should protect

myself if I’m in danger.

I won’t pull your back.

You can do this.

You seem to believe in me more than I do.

You’re different from others.

You’re the first girl who stood

before me to protect me.

That’s right.

That proves that I’m brave.

Anyway, I promise

that as long as you practice with me,

you will be stronger than her one day.

But,

you don’t have strong strength.

Darts fit you more.

I have had someone make a set for you.

I’ll teach you some other day.

I didn’t expect you to be so considerate.

You’re really like a master now.

Let’s go on.

Modesty and Brilliance

Yufeng Pavilion

Your Highness.

What happened?

This is about Minister Feng.

You are in close relationship with him.

You’d better not ask about it.

Now Dongyue belongs to Yufeng Pavilion.

As the Assistant administrator,

she helps me on supervision.

She has the right to know this.

For several months,

assistant minister Wu Xiong of the Ministry of War

replaced some good ordnance

as scrap materials

in the inventory list

while checking the inventory.

Where are the ordnance now?

We don’t know.

Do you suspect that Feng Xi

colluded Wu Xiong to resell ordnance?

This is found by Minister Yin Shi.

The people contacted Wu Xiong seems to

have something to do with Lu Yuantong.

You mean

the ordnance are sold to Lu Yuantong?

Wu Xiong was recommended to Ministry of War by Feng Xi.

And some people saw Wu Xiong go to Feng’s Mansion often.

This matter

can’t be done

by Wu Xiong alone.

Dongyue,

I know you are friends with Feng Xi.

But this is a big deal.

Once the reselling of ordnance is confirmed,

I’m afraid Feng Xi and Lu Yuantong

can’t be forgiven by His Majesty.

Sir,

this is the list of wasted ordnance

of the army this month.

Please have a look at it.

Ordnance List

Thunderbolt Shell Damp

Alright.

Wu Xiong,

Assistant Minister Wu Xiong the ordnance you handled before

Assistant Minister Wu Xiong has been handed over smoothly.

You are careful enough to do things

much better than your leader, Yin Shi.

If there is a vacancy

of Minister of Ministry of War,

I think you’re capable for that.

Thank you, sir.

Ordnance List

Your Highness,

I believe Feng Xi won’t do such a thing.

I hope so.

He’d better never do this.

Otherwise,

no one can help him.

Do you think Feng Xi and I have been

at daggers drawn?

Actually, there was

a time when we were good friends.

Back then,

the Fengs hadn’t declined.

Feng Xi was ordered to be reading partner in the palace.

Maybe he was unlucky

to be sent to me, a less favored prince.

Other reading partners were arrogant,

Young Third Prince The Book of Rites

Young Feng Xi Only I

Young Feng Xi

Young Feng Xi relied on him to stand up for me.

The Book of Rites Who are you?

I’m Feng Xi, youngest son

of Official Feng of Censorate.

I’m ordered to be

your reading partner from today on.

Your Highness,

don’t you feel cold?

Of course I do.

But no one knows about it.

They collude with eunuchs,

dock my pocket money,

even the fire woods.

You are at least a prince.

Nobody even cares about it?

My mom died a long time ago.

Father is busy with politics.

This is not the cold palace

but it’s just like it.

If you can find a better place to go,

don’t need to waste time here.

Your Highness,

you should love yourself

before being loved by others.

You’re being so weak.

He was only three years older than me,

but he had many fierce ways.

You even dare to torture the Prince?

Do you want His Majesty to know this?

His Highness is kind.

But I’m just an underbred brat.

If you don’t prepare the money,

clothes and fire woods well,

I will beat you up every time I see you.

Understand?

Yes. Yes.

The Book of Rites Get lost!

The Book of Rites Yes.

Strange to say,

after he came,

no one in the palace despised me again.

Then why are you like strangers now?

No.

You are like enemies.

Feng Xi does things extremely

and is clear about love and hatred.

When he is kind to me,

he will protect me with his whole heart.

But when he meets someone he dislikes,

he will go to great lengths to kill.

I once persuaded him.

But he asked me back that

if it was unfair to the

people he cares

if he treated everyone equally.

I didn’t know how to answer.

But until one day,

he was against people

not for likes and dislikes, but power.

That hit my bottom line.

Your Highness,

I understand your feelings.

I won’t let anyone treat him unjustly.

But I won’t help him either.

I will definitely

find out the truth.

What’s more,

this is the best chance to take Lu Yuantong down.

Your Highness, don’t worry. I’ll figure it out as soon as possible.

Wu’s Mansion

Minister Feng.

Please.

Wu’s Mansion

Wu’s Mansion?

Feng Xi is really suspicious.

Qingxiao?

Your Highness,

Feng Xi went to Wu’s mansion today.

Maybe Feng Xi has a personal relationship with Wu Xiong.

This can’t prove anything.

I sent people to check.

That mansion was always empty several months ago.

But recently,

many boxes were delivered to there.

Dongyue,

if we find the evidence

of Feng Xi’s guilts,

what will you choose?

I had been thinking of this on the way here.

If Feng Xi did make a mistake,

I don’t know what to do.

Maybe it’s not that bad.

Don’t worry.

I will figure out

what is inside the house.

Ziyuan,

I didn’t expect you to be so talented.

It took me more than one month

to master Qingping Swordsmanship.

But you can already do this after only a few days.

Really?

Then I can protect myself soon!

I believe you can!

Why am I so stupid!

Let’s move on.

What’s wrong?

Nothing.

Am I too heavy

to hold?

No, no.

You’re not heavy.

Let’s move on.

OK.

Taiji Hall Zhaoyang Hall

Your Highness.

You are always careless.

Why are you suddenly so radical?

I used to be just an idled prince

who let you run amok

and was powerless to care about it.

But now I’m the Supervisory Censor.

Sure I should take the responsibility of tracing the origin.

I see.

I thought you were being against with me for Dongyue.

Days ago,

you wanted to ask Dongyue to watch shadow puppetry show.

Why did you go to the gate but not go in?

Feng Xi, how could you follow me?

It’s just seen by my servant.

When did you become so boring?

You aren’t here just to

say this to me, are you?

Your Highness, I just want to remind you

that Dongyue is my girl.

Don’t make delusions.

Dongyue is a human.

Please don’t use her

as a tool to be against with me.

How do you know that

it’s not true love between us?

You can judge only from the surface.

This is all I want to say.

Be sure to keep it in mind.

Keep it in mind.

Your Majesty,

since Yufeng Pavilion interfered in the supervision,

they made no achievement except

settling down the matter of Yan Lu.

I think that

Yufeng Pavilion is of no use.

it’s just a waste for those capable

officials to stay there.

Yufeng Pavilion doesn’t need to report

to Ministry of Rites of what we did.

His Majesty appointed the officials.

Are you exceeding your duties

to meddle in our affairs?

Dongyue is good at divination and rites.

Rather than let her muddle through in Yufeng Pavilion,

it would be better to let her show her strength in Ministry of Rites.

Ministry of Rites has many talents.

You blot out her contribution

to Yufeng Pavilion

just to take her away from me.

Alright. Enough. Stop arguing.

Sorry, Your Majesty.

I was rude.

Father,

I have something to report.

Go ahead.

Feng Xi is involved in reselling ordnance of Ministry of War.

Please have a check.

What?

Reselling ordnance?

That’s a capital offense!

Your Highness, are you kidding?

You can’t joke about that.

I’m an official of Ministry of Rites.

How should I resell the ordnance of Ministry of War?

If you want to frame me,

you should find a better crime.

In recent months,

the Ministry of War scrapped

a batch of ordnance in name of impairment.

But the whereabouts of the ordnance have been unknown ever since.

I have got the information

that the missing of the ordnance

has something to do with Feng Xi.

Since you said that,

you must have strong evidence.

Yeah.

Xinyao,

do you have the evidence?

The evidence is still being checked.

But what I just said

is all true.

I don’t dare to lie.

Looks like you don’t have the evidence.

We should seek truth from facts.

Since you said that,

you have to show us the evidence.

Xinyao,

I know that you never lie.

But you are kind

and you may be used by others.

Reselling ordnances is a big deal.

I have started to investigate.

Give me some time

and I will get the evidence of Feng Xi’s crime.

Then, Your Majesty, please testify.

If His Highness can find evidence,

I’ll be willing to be punished.

But if he can’t…

If I can’t get the evidence,

I’d like to quit my job as Supervisory Censor.

It’s none of my business

whether you are the censor or not.

And repeal the Yufeng Pavilion.

Father, please testify for me.

Please give me seven days

and ask the imperial army to search the whole capital city.

I will definitely hand in the evidence

in person.

Alright.

It’s up to you.

Now, dismiss!

Yes, Your Majesty.

Your Highness,

you are not usually so impulsive.

Why did you do this today?

We both know that Feng Xi must have done something wrong.

But it just makes me feel angry

to see his fearless manner.

But we do have no

evidence of his reselling.

You will only

alert him and make him

put on his guard by doing so.

I just wanted to alert him.

If I asked the army to search the city,

what do you think he will do?

Wu’s Mansion is not a safe place.

That’s right.

Since you think so,

Feng Xi will also think so.

As long as we investigate it,

he won’t be in peace.

If he wants to transfer the ordnance,

then it’s our time.

Wu’s Mansion

Mr. Feng.

How is it going?

It’s all settled.

Please follow me to have a check.

Your Highness,

our spy saw that many carriages

got into Wu’s Mansion.

And the carters are well trained.

They don’t look like ordinary ones.

The carriages went into the mansion

and haven’t come out yet.

Seems that they have known the city will be closed.

They will take actions tonight.

Your Highness,

should we ask the imperial army

to surround Wu’s Mansion?

Give them my order,

ask them to assemble near Wu’s Mansion.

Yes.

Dongyue,

to avoid suspicion,

you’d better not go.

I can’t watch Feng Xi get caught.

Ziyuan.

Ziyuan.

Dongyue?

Are you looking for Mr. Feng?

He took Daole out.

They are at Wu’s Mansion.

Go. Go to save them now.

I think they will come back soon.

They won’t come back tonight.

Go to Wu’s Mansion now

and send this to them.

The Third Prince has taken the imperial army to there.

You take the shortcut

and send the message to them.

I will wait for you back home.

Go now.

OK.

Wu’s Mansion

Be careful.

Make it tight.

Best Blessing Forever

Xi.

Who is that?

Ziyuan.

As expected.

Xi.

How do you know that someone will come to send message?

I made a bet with myself

that someone must come today.

I just don’t know who it will be.

Then why did you say

we should stop the person

unless it is Dongyue?

I just want her to come herself.

What’s the difference?

I even had a fight with Ziyuan.

You know nothing.

Look at you.

You really changed your side so fast.

I… I…

Sir, it’s all prepared.

Dongyue.

How is it?

When I just arrived,

before I figured out

how to send it in,

the paper was robbed away.

Who tried to stop you?

He was masked.

No.

I can’t let Feng Xi be in trouble.

I’ll go to tell him myself.

Changyuan Residence His Highness guessed it right.

Changyuan Residence Are you going to send message?

Changyuan Residence Where I am going is not your business.

Changyuan Residence Step aside.

Is it fair

to His Highness?

You said you wouldn’t shield him.

But now

you become a traitor.

His Highness ordered

that before we succeed,

you should just stay here.

What if I have to go?

Then don’t blame us for being rude.

Catch her!

Wu’s Mansion

Open the door.

Let’s go.

Mr. Wu, where are you going?

Wu’s Mansion

Your Highness.

It’s already so late.

But you look to be in a hurry.

You’re Feng Xi’s follower, right?

Then you must know

where he is now.

Your Highness, are you looking for me?

Mr. Feng,

reselling ordnance is a capital crime.

I have warned you once.

But you still don’t give up.

Looks like there is someone else in the carriage.

I wonder if I can meet him.

Of course, you can.

But I think all your weapons

will scare him.

Greeting, Your Highness.

Head up!

You’re Marquis Dingyuan’s man?

Your Highness flattered me.

I’m just an ordinary businessman.

It’s OK that you don’t admit.

Guard!

Search the carriage!

I heard long ago that you’re wealthy.

I didn’t expect that you even dare to sell ordnance.

You have to have evidence before saying that.

I’d like to see

how long you will keep your mouth shut.

Keep searching!

A half of the boxes are money

and the rest are grain.

There is no ordnance.

What did you say?

Yeah.

You can make it louder

and let everyone know

what is inside the boxes.
