Episode 7: In Your Dream

Transcribers: Chibi Mooncake, Drama Drama Translator/Timing: 5Water Proofreader: Emraldr

So you were the one who did that to the spirits of the Xi Clan.

But I did not wish to.

High Priest, were you thinking of dragging the others down with you before you died?

In order to overtake Demon Shen's spirit, you absorbed the lives of the Xi clansmen.

Was it...?

The "Time of Death Barrier"?

“The universe where the whale dwells drowns my mind in an endless loop.”

“What is boundless knows no boundaries; it’s the Time of Death Barrier.”

“The universe where the whale dwells drowns my mind in an endless loop.”

“What is boundless knows no boundaries; it’s the Time of Death Barrier.”

I should have guessed.

Whoever has the Ocean Spirit Pearl can see through time and space.

You are the only one who can, High Priest.

I was the one who harmed them. I failed my clansmen.

How did it come to this?

Although the barrier lasted for a millennium,

Demon Shen escaped his imprisonment,

while you weren’t able to escape in the end.

Was there a better alternative?

The world was stable for a millennium,

but today you finally came.

The reincarnation of the world is just beginning.

It required great sacrifice from so many people.

And there’s still that maiden out there.

She’s waiting for you.

What did you say?

Chao Ge?

With her power, she can escape the abyss.

Xi Qi, you mustn’t go.

Do not cry, Chao Ge.

This is our mission.

All souls will return to where they came from:

the Universe of the Whale.

I will wait for your return.

I will always, always be waiting for you.

I am unworthy of her.

Why is there an earthquake all of a sudden?

It's not an earthquake.

Then what is it?

It should be Demon Shen summoning a waterspout.

The people of the Sea God will never submit.

“Oath of the Black Whale”!

You mustn’t, Clan Leader.

You cannot face Demon Shen alone.

Let… Let your subordinates accompany you.

I have a lifelong duty to protect our clan

and you have your own mission.

Make haste and find Xi Feng.

Regardless of what your purpose was,

my clan never succumbed to you a millennium ago.

Nor will we today, a millennium later.

High Priest,

now that Demon Shen has returned, how do we fight it?

Child, only the heart can change another’s heart.

Only fate can fight against fate.

The "Time of Death Barrier" has begun to crumble.

This shipwreck has existed for too long.

It will eventually vanish into the sea.

With the last of my strength, I hope I can send you back.

You can’t. You will disappear.

I do not belong anywhere.

There is no way back for me, and I have forgotten where I came from.

Concentrate.

I have returned.

Xi Qi… are you there?

Xi Qi, are you there?

I am sorry.

Xi Qi.

I will wait for you.

Whether it’s a century, a millennium, or an eternity…

I will always wait for you.

Under the frosty sky and on the blue ocean,

the flute and the zither will resonate forever.

Hello, everyone.

Welcome to Revelation’s Eight Trigrams Lecture.

I’m Xiao Luo.

In this lecture, I will be entertaining you.

Let's amuse ourselves first.

The first inside scoop:

a young actress bribed an examiner.

Is this a lack of virtue or a distortion of human nature?

The show business of the new generation is hidden in the dark.

That’s just a rumor. Please don’t slander my sister.

The second inside scoop is that the currently popular Xi Feng is an excellent singer.

He worked hard on his new MV by bringing over the Black Whale.

At the autograph signing, albums were sold out in one hour.

His manager said everything went as expected.

Marry me, Xi Feng!

Xi Feng, please give me your autograph!

None of you are going to fight over it!

Thirdly, at the 67th session of the film festival,

Chi Tong’s excellent acting skills in the film "Attack of the Sea Monsters"

won him the title of best supporting actor.

Next up is today’s Great Entertainment Event.

The spark in Revelation’s animation

is the love story between the High Priest and the maiden, which touched the viewers.

Even the cast and crew were captivated by the couple.

It is well known that Xi Qi and Chao Ge are a perfect match.

Outside the show, there’s a scandal involving two people.

However, what people never imagined is that the hottest gossip isn’t about them.

The two popular men who had been at loggerheads

in order to compete for the spotlight were intimate in private.

And with this set of photos that paparazzi exposed in the early hours of the morning,

these two men’s relationship exploded in the entertainment world.

Are they the pillars of the show or idols hungry for promotion?

Facing the questioning of reporters, let's see what the party says.

Why do these two people look so familiar?

Xuan Ji, Xuan Ji.

May I ask why you didn't officially publish your sexual orientation?

Mister Luo, a paparazzi photographed Xuan Ji staying at your house last night.

May I ask what exactly happened between the two of you?

We… we were just talking about the script.

Wait a sec! This is not the same as rehearsals.

During rehearsals, it clearly said…

Cut! That’s it for today.

Episode 8: The Phantom in Pinghai Town

Where’s that guy with the cold face?

What happened here?

No.

Xi Feng!

No! Father!

Father…

Are you sad? Miserable?

That’s not enough.

It’s not enough to pay for what you did to My Lord.

The Xi and Black Water clans will be sacrificed to Lord Shen.

Xi Feng, pull yourself together.

What’s that?

Child, only the heart can change another’s heart. Only fate can fight against fate.

Descendant of the Xi Clan,

as the High Priest, I bestow upon you the Ocean Spirit Pearl.

Father.

For my father,

the High Priest Xi Qi,

the sacrifices of the Chao Clan,

and the people of the Xi Clan,

the spirits of the sea will become clouds and rain,

raising to the sky and falling back into the sea!

Chi Tong got away.

The Xi Clan survived

because of Clan Leader and the Ocean Spirit Pearl.

That’s right. Clan Leader died for us.

In the face of disaster, I began to understand the helplessness of the high priest.

He must have foreseen everything when he granted me that Ocean Spirit Pearl.

Was this all meant to be?

Although I cannot fully agree with his methods,

I believe it was a difficult choice.

The clan leader and the high priest passed their will onto you

in order for you to shoulder the future of the Xi Clan.

Clan Leader…

Father, I will not disappoint you.

Father.

The Universe of the Whale…

Today, I swear in the name of the goddess of the sea

that I, Xi Feng, son of the Xi,

will carry on the former generations’ mission.

I will guard the eternal peace of the Xi Clan.

Clan Leader,

now that the sea monsters have been subdued, Xiao Luo and I will be leaving.

You must be anxious to find your sister.

For Demon Shen, it's too straightforward to merely attack Xi Yu Bay.

Chi Tong…

Why did he suddenly retreat at the last minute?

After waiting for a millennium, I will dye the ocean with your blood until you breathe your last!

Do you think it was a diversion?

That’s right. Their purpose wasn’t to seek revenge on the Xi Clan.

Demon Shen was a summoned beast of a former priestess of the Black Water Clan.

Due to his hatred, he can only have one target.

Ying Chuan?

The Ying Chuan Region is inland.

There's a good chance they'll first occupy the seaside city closest to Ying Chuan:

Pinghai Town.

Tong Guang?

Can you hear my voice? Wake up.

Xiao Luo, is that you?

Is anyone here?

Where did they all go?

Is anyone here?

I never imagined the sea monsters would strike so quickly.

We were too late.

It’s fine if there are no people, but where are the sea monsters?

You were right. Demon Shen did have Pinghai Town in mind.

But why did they retreat if they were successful?

It’s very likely that someone is giving them orders.

Are you looking for someone?

Tong Guang, where did you go? Who took you?

Where’s my doll?

I kept it safe for you.

Who told you to touch her?

She's my doll. My doll!

Tong Guang, what’s the matter? Do you not recognize me?

She belongs to me alone. Don’t think you can take her away.

She’s mine. Mine. Mine. Mine!

Tong Guang?

Tong Guang?

Tong Guang?

Tong Guang?

Tong Guang, what have they done to you?

Don’t worry. She merely fell asleep. Let her rest.

Thank you for saving my sister, and for helping us at the shipwreck the day before yesterday.

I have not yet asked for your name.

I am Xuan Ji. I travel extensively.

I only happened to help by chance. Please don’t think too much of it.

The guy with the cold face stole my limelight.

It’s not fair.

Dan Dan!

Why don't you turn into a monster and fight me?

Health exercises for the eyes will commence.

Close your eyes.

Section one:

massage the Tiangying acupressure points.

One, two, three, four…

Hello, hello?

Yo, yo, here’s some noise.

ABCDEFG

Hydrogen, helium, lithium, beryllium, boron,

carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, fluorine, neon.

Boss Green Fin, it’s working.

Foolish humans,

us sea monsters have returned to make a comeback.

Be afraid and tremble!

Black Scorpion, have you ordered food from the restaurant yet?

I want to eat delicious barbecue.

Don’t rush me, fatty.

Let me put on some sunscreen first.

You don't know how sunny this land is.

My delicate fish skin is so scorched that my scales are falling off.

Stop arguing!

The red-headed exorcist boy is coming.

Boss, let’s run for it!

No one’s running.

We will use Plan B.

I’m so annoyed! I was halfway through putting on my sunscreen.

Boss Green Fin, since when did we have a plan?

What is Plan B?

White Crocodile, you idiot. There was never a plan.

Shut up!

This is the classroom.

Today, I am here to teach you all a lesson.

Hello? Is this the restaurant?

I'd like some delicious barbecue.

No seafood. Thank you.

You three want some watermelon?

Be serious, everyone.

We came to disturb class.

That nervous student over there, you’re looking great.

Hello, I’m the top student. I have a question.

You wish!

You may ask.

I follow every episode of Revelation.

Why do you guys look different than Chi Tong?

It’s a long story.

In the beginning, the three of us were also handsome men just like Chi Tong.

Boss, I’m going to pick up our food.

The power of our kind

is a strange energy born from the depths of the sea.

This power helps us catch sufficient food during the breeding season.

We eat anything.

We followed the Xi Clan and arrived in the great land of Yun Chui.

There, we met Lord Shen.

We worship the immense power of Lord Shen and loyally follow him.

A millennium ago,

Chi Tong, White Crocodile, Black Scorpion, and I were the left and right arms of Lord Shen.

At that time,

our features were just like Chi Tong’s, with long legs.

We summoned the wind and rain, causing havoc along the coast.

Unfortunately, the Xi and Black Water clans harmed our Lord Shen.

The three of us were affected by the seal and reverted to our original state.

So you guys were the ones who made those announcements.

Are you from our school?

Report your grade and class.

I’m so scared of you.

Teacher Xiao Luo,

we’re in the wrong class.

Boss, I brought the food.

Come to my office after school.

Class is over! Time to go home and play!

Tong Ming, wait up.

Episode 9: A Reading of Hell

You are mine.

You are mine.

You are mine.

You are mine.

It is you.

Mind your own business.

Show yourself, Demon Shen.

Those who stop me will die.

You will not bring harm to anyone ever again.

No!

Do you not see? She’s possessed by Demon Shen.

Even if that were the case, why would that matter?

Foolish sister, you obviously know he is speaking the truth,

yet you refuse to admit it.

I wonder how many people will die in vain this time.

The world probably calls this “sisterhood”.

How ridiculous. It means nothing to me.

Why don’t you just end it right now?

Kill me.

Then, you don’t have to be troubled by such thoughts again.

I can use this life to pay back your kindness.

Nobody in hell will blame you.

Tong Guang,

I’m here for you. Don’t be scared.

What fake affection. Didn’t you abandon me in the end?

Tong Ming!

Tong Guang! What’s wrong?

What monster made her like this?

Demon Shen is inside of her.

I used the Ocean Spirit Pearl to temporarily restrain him.

Demon Shen is very vicious to be doing this while Tong Guang is in a weakened state.

He took the opportunity to provoke us to hurt one another.

If this continues, I am concerned that Tong Guang will not be able to endure.

I'm afraid she's suffering far more than that.

I will never let Demon Shen take her away.

I ask all of you to help me get Tong Guang to the Ying Chuan Region safely.

There, I may have a way to save her.

Peach flowers bloom magnificently, falling one after another.

You are recalling an old memory. Are you feeling nostalgic again?

The resurrection of Demon Shen brings calamity.

We all failed to save Xi Yu Bay and Pinghai Town in time.

If there are any further losses in Ying Chuan,

we Wrath Scales will really be disgracing Zu Long’s legacy.

There is no need to think in that manner.

Once the Black Water Priestess arrives,

I am certain the events will all be clear.

Until then, it is not too late to plan.

What do you suppose Demon Shen’s purpose is in causing this chaos?

In the past, Priestess Ying summoned a Water Spirit Beast to guard Ying Chuan alongside her.

Shen, who incarnated as a young man, was sincere towards Ying.

But he felt abandoned and became a demon.

It was futile to chase after him.

A debt of a millennium.

In the end, retribution will fall upon this land.

Ying Chuan will not escape from calamity this time.

Karma is not easy to escape from.

The resurrection of Demon Shen is not accidental.

Perhaps it is related to an old event that happened here ten years ago.

An event from ten years ago?

Do you mean

that the Black Empress’ power triggered the awakening of Demon Shen?

Sir…!

I am alright.

This is merely speculation.

The awakened Demon Shen may have sensed the existence of the Black Empress’ power,

which threatens him.

The power of the Black Empress comes from water, so she commands water

and creates unfathomable illusions.

In the event that Demon Shen taps into that power,

he can twist people’s minds and lead them onto a demonic path.

It is very likely that this magnificent landscape

will become a hellish battlefield sooner or later.

In that case, I must immediately go provide support to prevent it from happening.

Please proceed with extreme caution.

It may take half a day to reach Ying Chuan by foot.

Why don’t we rest, everyone?

You must be exhausted. Let me carry her from now on.

How nice it would be to have some sweet spring water right now.

This is bad.

We can’t stay here. We must go.

This fog is thick. How can we leave if we can’t even see?

Xiao Luo.

Hello, everyone. Welcome to Revelation's Great Lecture Hall.

I am your lecturer, Xiao Luo.

In addition, I am also the greatest exorcist of the Xia Dynasty.

The Exorcist Enrollment is approaching again.

You must have heard of exorcists before.

However, do you really know what they are?

Hey, I know!

Exorcists specialize in fighting monsters.

Correct.

Become an exorcist requires the determination to fight demons and monsters.

Plus, eliminating demons is the top priority for exorcists at all times.

Humans and demons cannot coexist.

A qualified exorcist will absolutely not show mercy.

Exorcists put their faith in Zu Long.

Without Zu Long, there would be no exorcists.

The most powerful exorcist organization of the Xia Dynasty is Wrath Scales.

Long ago, there were very few people who could fight demons.

That is why Zu Long gathered followers and taught them himself.

Most of these followers had lost their family and friends because of demons.

They have a bitter hatred for demons.

Their abilities to battle demons were given to them by Zu Long.

They were filled with such gratitude to Zu Long that they vowed to protect him.

As the saying goes, “Touching their reverse scales leads to a dragon's wrath.”

This organization was called Wrath Scales.

Ever since their creation, Wrath Scales has followed Zu Long to fight demons.

The symbol of Wrath Scales is on the flag.

Teacher Xiao Luo, may I ask who Zu Long is?

That’s a great question.

Zu Long belongs to the race of dragons.

You know of dragons, right?

This novel is about Lu Mingfei, from his youth to evolution.

The author, Jiang Nan, is the architect of the world of Revelation.

So what about Lu Mingfei?

Uh…

Excuse me.

I recently worked part-time with a team researching the dragon race.

I got sidetracked there.

Back to the main point,

in the world of Revelation, dragons hold a powerful force,

and can transform into good-looking people.

The first generation Dragon Emperor was Long Huai,

who came to be known as Zu Long.

Now, although Zu Long lies dormant,

the members of Wrath Scales believe he will awaken one day.

We work hard to prepare for his awakening.

Teacher Xiao Luo, is that man from Wrath Scales too?

The new guy you're talking about is the leader of Wrath Scales,

Chen Jun.

Is he really?

Of course.

Senior Brother Chen Jun is Wrath Scales’ Thunder Clan Leader.

At the beginning of Wrath Scales’ founding, the leaders of the Light and Thunder clans

supervised the organization.

However, there has never been a successor to the first Light Clan Leader.

That’s why the Four Heavenly Kings of Wrath Scales listen to the Thunder Clan Leader.

There are Heavenly Kings? I wish I could join Wrath Scales.

The Four Heavenly Kings manage the four divisions in Wrath Scales:

Wind, Forest, Mountain, and Fire.

The members of the Wind Division are scattered throughout the land.

They are responsible for gathering information about demons.

The Forest Division are into researching

and performing various experiments about exorcism.

The Mountain Division is the strongest when it comes to strength.

They’re the main force that exterminates demons.

As for the Fire Division, it consists of the youngest members.

It is in charge of educating new members.

I'm a member of the Fire Division.

Which division do you want to join?

Who will be the strongest exorcist?

The Yun Chui Empire needs Wrath Scales.

Older organizations like ours are reliable.

Don’t hesitate.

The members of Wrath Scales will be excellent teachers in promoting personalized education.

Not only do you get to wear nice uniforms,

you are equipped with free weaponry.

Every year, we offer several travel reimbursements

and additional full life insurance.

All students are welcome to join.

Wrath Scales’ headquarters is in Di Shi in the Yun Chui Empire.

Those who are interested can still go if you want to learn more.
