tonight inside this location and we are

gonna be locked down until we find the truth
behind what haunts this iconic building.

Our journey behind the shadows has
taken US to some of the darkest locations

in the country as we have attempted
to find proof of the negative hauntings

that are believed to plague
these places. Some of the

things that we have witnessed
have been truly disturbing.

We have been tested as investigators but our
final test takes US to a location that has

become so bad recently that we are not allowed
to reveal the true name of the building.

We could be dealing with all
sorts here Beck, what do you think?

Yeah I mean this place has got so many reputed
hauntings erm... from ghosts of freemasons

that used to use the place as a lodge erm...And
there's a lot of conspiracy around freemasons

and the knights templar and rituals.

Yeah.

Erm... there's also supposed
to be a hooded figure down in

the cellar erm... so that
could be quite interesting erm...

And then of course we've got in
recent years where youths and

vandals have broken in and are
rumoured to have done satanic rituals.

Yeah.

So that could actually be quite dangerous
if they have conjured something up.

Yeah, it could be a crazy lockdown.

Yeah.

Early records indicate that the land this
location sits on was owned by the order of

knights of the hospital of Saint John of
Jerusalem, also known as the knights hospitaller

from 1180 and was held for almost 360
years until king Henry viii confiscated

it in the 16th century after england's
break from the catholic church.

In 1704 a country house was
constructed on this plot of land

and it has been home to some
of liverpool's wealthiest men

such as Nicholas Ashton,
James reddecliffe jefferey,

and liverpool ship owner
Frederick Richards leyland.

The building has also served as a
military hospital during the 1950's and

also a girls school under the management
of the convent of notre dame in 1970.

It has recently been
declared as a grade 1 listed

building after being
saved from demolition.

This final location is gonna
be a real test for the team.

There has been so much going on recently
inside the location that I know the

owners, the caretaker and a lot of other
people have become really concerned about.

Real disturbing paranormal events
occurring inside the house and

we're gonna have to be really
cautious about this investigation

and our approach is gonna be
key to how the lockdown unfolds.

The location has long had a connection
with freemasons, one of the oldest

fraternities in the world and who many believe
are descendants of the knights templar.

Modern day freemasons
still exist today and

their secret meetings and
codes remain a mystery.

Since the location has lay abandoned,
it has suffered badly with trespassers,

many of whom have been caught performing
rituals inside the house and as a result,

many people connected
with the house believe this has

caused an extreme spike in
disturbing paranormal activity.

Upon our arrival we met 2 paranormal investigators
who had recently been given permission

to investigate the location. What they were
about to tell me was extremely disturbing.

Guys I've heard that you've recently investigated
this location and you experienced some

terrifying things in here, can you show me
around and tell me about those experiences?

Absolutely.

Guys this is huge in here,
I didn't expect it to be this

big in here, it doesn't look
this big from the outside.

It, it is beautiful and it's bizarre
being back, it feels very, very weird.

Erm... it, there's like an element
of familiarity it's not like US familiar,

being familiar with the building but
the building being familiar with US.

So where was it that you
experienced these things?

A lot of what happened, happened upstairs.

We follow charlene and Chrissy upstairs
to the top floor where freemasons would

have held secret meetings and what I
was about to learn was very interesting.

Yeah it definitely feels
a bit darker here today.

mean straight away as

we've got to the stairs
my breaths been taken

and my head feels
like it's being squeezed.

So what was it that you
experienced in this room?

Well I think the first thing to say is
what I hadn't realised when I first came

up to this room was that the windows
face down onto where we were parked up.

Right ok.

As we were, as we
pulled up I looked up at the

window and saw a woman
looking of the window.

Which window was that?

I don't remember which one but I
just know it was one of these windows

now I hadn't named that while I was
in the car but when we came up the

main staircase you could a couple
of ways and I was drawn up this way.

Erm... I recall as I walked
up the stairs I sort of

fell to one side feeling as
if the staircase was tilted

but was drawn up to this room and it was
in it was here that I picked up on erm...

The energy of a woman erm... I seemed to
recall giving her an age of about sort of

early 30's, early early
40's, erm... late 30's erm...

And I think I picked up on a j name erm.. I think
the other thing bizarre is that when we were

in here I remember feeling like there was static
and tightness and swilling around my head.

After hearing about the apparition
seen at the window, charlene then

tells me that this is not the only
time this woman has been seen.

And we, we think downstairs in the mirror,
that we caught her in he mirror there.

This, this same woman that you
saw, you believe you've... on camera?

Yeah, and there's numerous other
investigators that've sent me their pictures

of when they've investigated here
and the pictures look very similar.

So this is the room also where I felt really
quite emotional, I don't really cry but in here

I actually burst into tears and a lot of our
viewers, because we were on a live at the time,

erm... had to turn off, they
were disturbed by seeing

me upset and by how they
were feeling watching it.

completley changed in this room?

Yeah this room we felt agitated, I
felt it, Amy felt it but then to be honest

we moved on to the room down here
which I think would be where we'd go next.

So this room was really bizarre
erm... we had some equipment laid

out and we'd got the itc, we'd
got the erm... k2's specifically.

I initially didn't feel an
awful lot in this room

but you said there had
been some history in here.

Yeah.

Erm... you didn't give
it away at the time.

Of rituals and things dating back to
modern erm... rituals happening as well.

People breaking in and doing rituals?

Yeah possibly.

That's exactly what I've heard
about this location, ok carry on.

So as we were here I said I didn't feel an awful
lot erm... we'd got words coming across on the

itc sort of crazy, it asked US to lay down, charl
said if you flash the lights we'll lay down.

Erm...

I wasn't particularly playing at
that point I was like nah I'm not doing

that. Erm... and then it said don't
touch now my behaviour then changed.

I don't provoke on an investigation, I don't
agree with it, I don't like it but it told me not

to touch and I instantly stood and started
stroking the walls and strutting along the walls.

Touching saying 'you don't want me
to touch then do you not? Stop me.'

what like, like you were
almost kind of showing off?

Yeah for want of a better word yeah I was kind of
playing up to it without realising. Erm... Amy said

'i don't like it' a few of our viewers said 'we can't
watch this anymore' we're struggling to watch it

because they were disturbed
by what they were seeing.

And they could actually see both of you...

and as, as she was going round

the lights was going like
it was giving US a reaction.

Like emf detectors going off?

Yeah, yeah the equipment was going off

but then you said you
got a disturbing feeling,

thought coming into your
head but you couldn't say it.

And as I sort of finished stroking the
walls, sort of finished in like a pose.

And I was like... I wanna dance.

That is so interesting because
obviously this place was for freemasons

and they would have had ladies
doing that kind of... my god that is...

At this point I realised we'd been played.

Especially in this room because
one of these rooms is a roaming room .

And erm... in such rooms, women would
have came in, they would have danced

for men, they would have impressed
and then they may have married them.

That's what happened.

We didn't know this til after. We
researched it after our investigation.

Well obviously there is a lot
going on with obviously people

breaking in here recently,
very, very recently as you know.

And doing rituals in here guys,

a spike in paranormal activity inside

the house, I wanted to use the sbox to
see if Chrissy and charlene's presence

from any entities that

through the sbox almost immediately which is

very rare and shortly we are going to show
you the moment we review this live however,

this was not the only strange thing
to occur in this room, watch closely

as this strange light anomaly rises
up behind Chrissy and then disappears.

Chrissy then feel's something on
her head and clearly reacts to this.

of the paranormal but it is certainly very

strange that Chrissy only seems to react
after these anomaly's appear behind her

and this only seems to happen after
the man's voice comes through the sbox.

With nothing further coming
through, we head back downstairs

to review what was captured
on the sbox and it is astonishing.

With charlene and Chrissy leaving the location
shocked after what had come through the sbox,

becki and I needed to sit down and reflect on
what had just occured during the walk around.

That was one of the most crazy
experiences I've had recently .

Mate, I had electricity
running up and down my body.

I did not expect to turn
on the sbox and just

get a voice come through
and that said out bitch.

Yeah it's, its a bit scary if that's how
aggressive whatever is up there is.

But I mean it's also crazy to think that the
2 girls have had sort of behavioural changes

and it's not just them 2 either, it's other
paranormal investigators coming in here and

are changing their behaviour
but it's women, its not men.

But it all ties in with sort of
the history of the building with

the freemasons they would have
had women dancing around them.

Men of power.

Yeah.

It's just, it's one of the most
surreal places I've been to.

And there is so much
that obviously the

girls have told US off
camera as well that...

That has happened here, you
know it's right about the rituals as well

like recent rituals going on here,
is it possible that somethings been

sort of drawn up, something
negative is happening here.

Well that's the, thats the
argument is that is it potentially the

spirit of a freemason who's not
happy about women being there.

Or actually is it something even
darker that's been brought through by

people messing around with things
they shouldn't be messing around with

and its not jus that either it's about you know
the, the woman on this staircase being pushed

down the stairs and losing her child, there's
just so much to try and get our heads around

The rest of the team arrived at the
location and after informing them about

the strange activity that had occurred
hours earlier, we planned our approach.

4 locked off cameras would monitor the key
areas of the house including the basement where

a dark figure has been seen by numerous
people including the current caretakers wife.

One of the main downstairs rooms
that would have been used for parties.

Camera 3 was monitoring the back staircase
which had a very strange atmosphere

and finally camera 4 was on the
top floor in the main room where once,

freemasons would have
held secret meetings.

We also set up 2 motion sensors, 1 in the
basement and the other covering the corridor

that leads form the freemasons meeting
room to the strange room where earlier,

we received a response through the sbox.

For our final lockdown we would split
the girls from Charlie and myself to see

what affect this would have and whether
the entities believed to haunt his location

would attempt to drive the girls from
the house. They would take position in

the main room upstairs, women would
have been forbidden to enter this area

so would the girls presence
here cause a spike in activity?

Charlie and I were downstairs
in one of the main rooms

where both meetings and
parties would have once been held.

Both teams were armed with a
range of equipment, it was time to face

our final lockdown and find out
what lurks behind the shadows here.

I've done a lot of research on the location
and the freemason element is really,

really interesting and there's a lot of
conspiracy's around the freemasons and

what there origins were, people say that
they are originated from the knights templar

and with the knights templar there was a
lot of stuff around king Solomon's temple,

which actually does feed
into some of the modern

practices that freemasons
even to this day do, do.

And these rituals you know, people
do talk about the things that go on and

no one really knows what goes on
but they've been linked with occultists,

aleister crowley, erm... you know there
was supposedly some letter that was written

about the masons that disappeared that said
it was to do with occultism and Lucifer.

Erm... so I think that
we could potentially be

dealing with some quite
dark stuff at this location.

I think the fact that people are actually still
breaking in and doing rituals here to this

day, is that having an affect obviously with
everything else that's gone on in the building?

And the freemasons themselves, is
that making things worse for the building?

Absolutely.

The building has so much history,
I mean I've been aware of the

building for a while now cos my
grandad's part of the freemasons.

And erm... after speaking to him we know that
he's been here a few times for his secret

meetings and I say secret because we were
never allowed to know what did in his meetings.

It's gonna be interesting to see
what we get at this location, especially

when you've had a family member
that's took part in meetings here

we made our way to the back staircase.

Meanwhile, the girls decided

session produced no results.

They made their way into thew
room where earlier in the day we

received a man's voice through
the sbox which said 'out bitch'.

Charlie and I would conduct a portal
session which pumps large amounts of white

noise into the atmosphere and is a
completely unique design made specifically

to our specifications by

Me and Charlie are on the main staircase
now, the girls are where we had the response

through the sbox today and as you can hear in
the background we have got the portal device

on the stairs right behind Charlie.

made their way down to the basement as Charlie

and I reviewed the recording from the portal.
What we are about to hear is truly horrific.

back to base room where we are gonna
