We are about to face an
investigation on another level as tonight

we are going to split up and
investigate this huge forest.

It is believed satanic cults are
performing rituals in these woods

and the souls of those who have
lost their lives here are trapped.

We're all about to face our
fears, this is delamere forest.

Delamere, which means forest of the lakes
is all that remains of the great forests

of Mara and mandrem which covered over
60 square miles of this part of cheshire.

Established in the late
11th century, they were the

hunting forests of the
Norman Earl's of Chester.

Delamere forest covers
2400 acres and is one

of the most mysterious
forests in the country.

Reports of satanic cults performing
rituals in these woods have existed for

many years with regular sightings of
hooded figures deep within the forest

and evidence of animal sacrifice
found on numerous occasions.

There's an awful lot
of history in delamere

forest, hundreds
and hundreds of years

and there are a lot of
quite disturbing reports.

Druids, pagans, satanic
rituals and actually

we could be dealing
with 2 things on the night.

We could be dealing with
something that these people

have conjured up that they
shouldn't have conjured up

and we could actually
be dealing with people

and it could be quite
a dangerous situation.

There have been a number of suicides and
tragic deaths over the years and as part of our

investigation, we will be covering the areas where
the majority of these deaths have taken place

as well as attempting
to find evidence of

the satanic cults that
perform rituals here.

In 1971 a man shot
dead 3 French people by

the roadside who were
camping in the forest.

June the 1st 2000, the body
of a pensioner was found

hanging in the forest, a
short walk from the roadside.

The same year a man
was found dead not far from

the same place after
falling from his bike.

1 year later another
suicide, a teacher was found

dead hanging, again
not far from the roadside.

Again in 2006, a former
policeman committed suicide.

2009 a man drowned in hatchmere lake.

In 2014 another suicide as a Dutch man was
found hanging from the go ape zip wire.

And in 2016 the body of a man
again was found in hatchmere lake.

Delamere forest has long been
associated with it's strange goings on

and there are a number of tragic
deaths that have occurred in the area.

There have been hooded
figures seen deep within the woods

but just because people lost their
lives there doesn't mean to say that

it's haunted and I for one am very
skeptical about the investigation ahead

as to whether we will actually capture anything
paranormal. I'm actually more concerned about

the so called satanic cults performing rituals
deep within the woods and the safety of the team

during the investigation.

Hatchmere lake has been
known for a number of tragic

deaths really so that's gonna
be an area of key interest

and especially site a as
well but like I said, I am quite

skeptical about this investigation
but we'll see what happens.

Ahead of our investigation,
becki and I visited

the 4 main areas that
we would be investigating.

This would help US plan our approach and which
equipment would be needed. It would also help US

to get our bearings as the next time we will
step foot in these areas, it will be pitch black.

Site a is well known for it's ghostly sightings
and sounds. This is the area near to the

roadside where many suicides have taken place as
well as the shooting of 3 French people in 1971.

This is also an area where
hooded figures have been seen

by people who have driven
through the forest late at night.

Ok so we have just arrived at delamere forest
and we are heading to site a where numerous

suicides have been reported as well as the
shooting of 3 French people back in 1971.

So tonight we're gonna
be spitting the team up.

I'm thinking that we send sian
and Roxanne over to this site a.

at the dead lake which
is a real crazy area.

Everything I read about
the place sounds amazing so

forward to going down there.

Emma and me will head

over to hatchmere lake
where we'll go shortly.

And hatchmere's where there's been a lot of
deaths in the lake hasn't there so it will be

interesting to see if we can pick up anything to,
to do with the people who've actually passed...

And I think what we have to remember about
tonight, we are in a huge, huge location.

Not everything is gonna
be paranormal, there's gonna

be wildlife, there's gonna
be sort of the weather.

We might not pick up
on anything paranormal.

You know, it's just the
reports that we've got

to follow and this area
here is of key interest.

I think what really fascinates me about the
forest is the fact that there's not a lot of

paranormal groups that have actually investigated
here and yet there's so much history of

murder, accidental deaths, suicides

satanic rituals

which I mean there's all sorts of
horror stories about people seeing

cloaked figures walking out of
the forest in the dead of the night

erm... and I am surprised that not more
groups have done it so I'm really looking

forward to this, I think it, it could
potentially be one of our biggest challenges.

Yeah definitely, without a doubt
and what gets me already is the

fact that we're here in the middle
of the day, there's no one around.

This, this is really strange and you can
imagine what it's gonna feel like tonight.

pathway through to site a but when sian

and Roxanne are here tonight, they're gonna
go right in the depths of these woods.

They're gonna love that.

We have got to really test ourselves as

investigators and push ourselves to the
limits, go to areas that we don't want to go.

Wow look at this creepy swamp over here.

These are the lost meres

yeah because delamere forest
was split into 2 forests wasn't it?

Yeah it was 2 forests
and erm... there was...

It's known as the
forests of the lakes.

Yeah.

But the lakes
disappeared and gradually

over time they've
started to bring them back

and they are actually
known as the lost meres.

Just thinking those 3 French
people that were murdered

back in 1971 were camping
out here, around this area here.

When a guy pulled up in his
car, came out and murdered them.

Yeah.

It's a creepy area.

It really is, it's the noises that
we're potentially gonna hear.

little bit more and then let's head

over to hatchmere lake which
is about half a mile that way.

Hatchmere lake has unfortunately seen a
number of tragic deaths with bodies found

in the lake. The woodlands that surround
the lake are said to be extremely active

and this area is famous
for it's supposed hauntings.

Ok so we've just arrived
at the woods surrounding

hatchmere lake which is
just behind that tree over there.

Now hatchmere lake is really
interesting Beck isn't it? Because

there are so many people that
have lost their lives here by drowning.

Mysterious deaths as well that we
don't really know the full details about.

But, in terms of paranormal this area
here is probably locally the most famous

erm... for sightings, sounds. There
are houses, there is a pub also over there

and a lot of the locals we have spoke to

say that they, they hear stories about these
woods surrounding the lake and some people say

they've witnessed things, there's stuff on the
Internet as well about people witnessing things

around here and hearing things as well.

or 4 deaths in that lake.

The dead lake is an area of key interest as this
is where evidence of satanic rituals have been

discovered. This location is deep within delamere
forest and is sure to test the teams bravery.

the eeriest area of the

entire forest, it's a hell

This didn't exist and again
it's one of the lost meres.

They removed the trees and
it formed a natural lake again.

It is really eerie around here.

there and as he looked to the side there were more.

This place is awesome though.

really kind of weird, eerie way.

which is on the opposite
end of delamere forest.

Site b lies on the far south end
of the forest just past the sunken

lake and multiple people have
seen ghostly apparitions in this area.

A real creepy area where again it
is said there are numerous suicides.

And just hear these birds
going crazy by this sunken lake.

We are gonna have to be really
careful that we don't think things

that we hear on this site tonight
are necessarily paranormal.

a squawking bird could sound like

someone screaming so we just need
to try and keep our heads if we can.

and already you can hear
wildlife moving around.

But this again is an area
that is sure to test our bravery.

the fact that we're all gonna be split up.

miles away from each other.

The team had now arrived
ahead of our investigation

and after briefing them,
it was time to separate.

Sian and rox made their way to
site a where numerous suicides had

taken place as well as the shooting
of 3 French people back in 1971.

They were armed with a digital voice
recorder in hope of capturing evp's and also

a Mel meter, which is used to measure
any changes in the electro magnetic field.

Becki and Charlie headed over
to the deal lake where evidence

of satanic rituals have been
discovered over the years.

They would use a thermal imaging
camera which would help trace

any heat sources or cold spots
in the depths of these woods.

Finally, Emma and myself made
our way to the woods that surround

hatchmere lake. An area that is
famous locally for paranormal activity.

We would be equipped with a
digital voice recorder and the ovilus

5 which measures changes in
energy and the electro magnetic field

and uses instrumental
trans communication to bring

through words when change
occur in the atmosphere.

This is probably gonna be one
of the most testing investigations.

There's been suicides in the
forest, there's been satanic rituals.

There's been a lot of negative
things that have happened in the

area so it's gonna be interesting
to see what can actually find out.

I think this location is gonna push the
team to our limits to see what we can

actually get out of this location as there's
a lot of associated suicides in the area.

A lot of murders, deaths around the
lake area and in towards the forest and

it's a big area to cover so it's gonna
be interesting to see what we can find.

with a small amount of people.

It's gonna pretty much be like one of
those horror films where we get taken

off one by one and slowly murdered.

ages erm... I've filmed in the dark in the
middle of the night, in the middle of the forest

a number of years ago and it
is the creepiest, scariest place

ever. It's like something
out of the Blair witch project.

Erm... Emma hates it, Emma
doesn't wanna do it. She thinks we're all

gonna get murdered by some guy
with a pig head erm... but I can't wait

and I actually in this place would be
quite happy to do a lone vigil by myself.

one of the toughest investigations

we have ever done and I know
we're all nervous about this one

but one thing I will say before we start, do
not let your imaginations get away with ya.

Any noises we hear are likely to be wildlife
but be alert, be on the look out. Guys...

After 3 hours, the team finally regrouped.

Becki and Charlie witnessed
nothing at the dead lake and although

becki heard footsteps, she could
not be sure if it was wildlife or not.

They found no evidence of any satanic cults in
the surrounding woods and other than the brief

sound of footsteps, which may have been a large
animal, they witnessed no paranormal activity.

Sian and rox also witnessed very little at
site a. They did hear a very loud movement

in the trees which appeared to happen
on demand when rox said 'let US hear you'.

Again, this could have been a large animal
or something falling from a tree and

it could just be coincidence that it
occurred just as rox had asked to hear them.

What the hell was that!?

Emma and myself appeared to have the strangest
session of the 3. On multiple occasions

we heard something moving around US and
although this could have been wildlife,

what was strange is that the ovilus
device only started to detect changes

in the atmosphere and produce
words when these noises had started.

The first instance of the this occurred
almost 90 minutes into the session

when Emma and I both heard the
sound of someone walking towards US.

The ovilus then brought
through the word resent.

Can you hear that? My god.

Resent has just come
up on the ovilus 5, resent.

Then, shortly after the words reach and
found came through. Was this possibly a

spirit telling US that he or she was trying
to reach out to US and we had found them?

Finally after hearing movement
around US, a whistle was heard

and the ovilus immediately
through the words roadway and safe.

What was strange about this, is that the whistle
seemed to come from the roadway which was

nearby and after hearing the whistle twice more,
we finally captured it on audio the third time.

Could this have possibly been
the same spirit telling US to go

to the roadway as it's safe,
after seeing how scared we were?

We are investigating delamere
forest and after regrouping, the entire

team headed to site b which
was extremely deep into the forest.

We were armed with a full spectrum
camera which is able to capture certain

anomaly's in images that are not
always seen with other light sources.

Our thermal imaging camera, a
parabolic microphone which is able

to enhance audio from far away
and finally our sb7 spirit box.

Ok, right now we are
armed with a full spectrum

camera, I'm gonna
be snapping pictures.

Charlie's armed with the
thermal imaging camera

and rox is armed with
a parabolic microphone.

are really deep within

We had just heard what sounded like a voice,
coming from somewhere deep within the woods.

After reviewing the parabolic microphones audio
we were able to debunk this noise as wildlife.

An hour passed and we witnessed absolutely
nothing so we decided to head deeper into the

woods in a final attempt to gain evidence of
satanic cults or spirits in delamere forest.

When I was looking there it looked like
somebody was walking towards me but like

very faint, like, it was almost as if you
could see through it, you know what I mean?

Is there somebody here?

If there's a person here...

Deep within the forest, it felt like
someone or something was toying with

US but we received no evidence at
all and with dawn fast approaching,

it was time to end our investigation and
make the long journey back to the cars.

Guys it's been an
interesting investigation.

But it's gonna be getting light soon guys,
I think we erm... head back to the cars.

Yeah, definitely. We
need to find a path first.

Yeah erm... there's loads we
need to review as well, full spectrum,

we need to review the thermal
imager, parabolic mic, everything.

Alright guys let's head out.

This was an interesting investigation
for US erm... but sadly to say we found no

paranormal activity. Even though there was a
lot of hype built up around this place being

active, full of activity of
paranormal, of the deaths

and the satanic rituals
that have happened there.

We did not find no evidence at all to say
that there was paranormal there, whether to

say there is or not we can't say but sadly
to say this time we found no evidence at all.

The investigation of delamere
was really creepy erm... but

then we were in a huge
forest in the dead of the night.

Erm... when Charlie and I were down at dead
lake we did feel like there was someone

walking around US. You could hear the sound
of branches cracking underneath someones feet.

But that could also be explained
away quite rationally. It could have

been a person, it could have been
a really heavy animal of some kind

erm... I don't feel like we did
capture anything paranormal on

the investigation and certainly
the sessions that I took part in.

Overall the location was extremely scary, being
in the woods at night in the dark. There was

nothing paranormal that we did mange to capture
unfortunately, it doesn't mean that it's not

haunted but unfortunately
we never caught anything that

we deem good evidence.
Obviously there was a lot going on,

but obviously you can't know
whether it is wildlife, whether

it's somebody walking but it
was a really good location to do.

Well, here we are. All survived, none of
US murdered like the horror films but I can

officially say it was probably the most
hideous location they've ever made me go to.

Now paranormal wise, quite quiet,
not much. In mine and Dan's session we

had some words off the ovilus erm...
It said road, erm... we heard whistling

and right by where we were there was a road
and we when we realised that, the next word

that came through was safe. Then we heard
footsteps and then it was my time to leave.

This was a really testing
investigation for the team, we were

so deep within delamere
forest that we felt very vulnerable.

Anything could have happened at any moment
whether that paranormal or people actually

following US and right at the end of
the investigation it felt like someone was

toying with US to be honest.

We found no evidence of
this of course but it just felt like

someone was walking around
watching what we were doing .

I saw a figure move and that could have been
my imagination, my eyes could have been playing

tricks with me in the dark. Charlie saw something
as well, it was just really, really creepy.

Now in terms of paranormal
activity, we really didn't get much to be

honest with you and I kind of
expected that ahead of the investigation.

The one session that was quite interesting
was Emma's and myself, we were at

hatchmere lake and all of a sudden
these noises started happening around US

and then the ovilus device started to
produce words and these words really

did seem to have a meaning and what
was and what's funny about this is that

these words only came through when
things were happening around US and at the

end we heard a number of whistles
from the roadway which was quite close by.

Then the ovilus said roadway and safe and
it was like something was coming through and

telling US to go to the roadway where we'd
be safe and this was accompanied by whistles.

That was really quite crazy.

Did you hear a whistle?

Yeah.

Roadway.

there's the roadway there!

Roadway.

Safe, roadway, safe.

The roadway's up there.

Roadway, safe.

The voice that came through
the sb7 spirit box in the

final session on site b, we
couldn't make out what it said.

So that was interesting to but in terms of
all the other sessions, we really didn't

receive anything and we found no evidence of
satanic rituals making place, we couldn't find

any sort of fires that were going on,
we didn't hear anybody in the woods it

was just that final session where we
did feel like we were being followed.

Delamere forest is a very creepy place, we found
no paranormal activity as such, that's not to

say that's not haunted though and certainly the
session around hatchmere lake was very, very

interesting indeed.

And I would love to go back to
delamere forest and investigate more.
