[Skate into Love]

[Episode 29]

Wow.

What's wrong?

What?

What's wrong?

Nothing.

I've known you since we were 6 years old. You think I can't tell?

Tang Xue.

Are you scared?

Scared of what?

Scared that I'll get hurt during a game.

How should I say this? Before, I just thought hockey was pretty exciting.

It's fun and interesting.

But since we started dating,

I want you to win, and I'm scared for you to lose.

Of course, I'm also scared for you to get hurt. But...

This is the golden shield of the Tang temple.

With this shield, nothing that flies in the sky, swims in the sea, or runs on the earth can touch you.

As long as you are working towards your shining dream, I'm not scared.

What I'm more scared of is you not getting back up. What is there to be scared of when the two of us are together?

Dreams don't shine by themselves. What shines is us, the ones chasing after our dreams.

Yeah.

Dreams don't shine. What shines is us, the ones chasing them! Let's go!

I'm coming.

Come on!

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

I'm glad you're okay.

Yubing.

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

Bing-bing seems different recently. He's working even harder.

It must be the power of love.

You did well in the offensive training.

Okay.

Have you discussed it with Tang Xue yet?

Just a little.

What did she say?

She didn't say much. But she gave me a golden shield.

hehehe

Cafeteria

Recently, I've practiced all kinds of

ways to skate through the curves.

But why are my scores

only getting worse?

That's okay.

My book here talks about this.

They say that the period after change is the "weak change period".

It says that after you change your methods, your results will get worse for awhile.

During this time, you need to endure. A lot of people give up in this period.

I don't get it.

Brother Dajing won another championship.

Wow, let me see.

Wow, he looks so cool with a gold medal.

Master Tang, don't you know him? You can ask him for advice.

With his success, if he gives you any advice, it'll definitely help.

That's true.

A world champion must know some good methods.

- Impressive. - It hurts.

Senior

I've been having some issues with training recently.

I can't seem to go through the curves smoothly.

I want to ask you for advice.

No problem. I can send you a practice video of me going through the curve.

Take a look.

Tang Xue, I'll show you how I do it.

When you go through the curves, angle yourself down, and lower your butt.

Lower your upper body, and keep your inside leg going in the direction of the track.

Is it cool, Tang Xue?

Good luck. Continue chasing your dream. I hope your dream comes true soon!

- Amazing, amazing. - Well done.

Everyone did really well today.

Especially Tang Xue, your curves improved a lot.

And you are faster.

That's it for today.

Thank you, Coach!

Good job!

How did you do it?

Because Ice God and I think alike.

Ice God?

Li Yubing knows speed skating as sell?

He is not the only Ice God.

Who else?

Show us.

Wow, so cool!

Wow, that turn!

Look how he follows. Wow!

So cool!

This turn is so cool!

No wonder. Super cool.

Wow, that turn.

Wow.

[Challenge yourself. Break the limit.]

[Congratulate beforehand to XDragons] [in the National College Speed Skating Championship]

Delicious?

You'll go to Beijing and compete soon. Nervous?

My dictionary doesn't have the word nervous.

And I've promised my parents. I have to prove myself to them.

OK. I have to prepare for the match with Black Scorpions. I can't go to Beijing with you. Good luck!

We'll see who is better, you or me.

OK. I heard you improved a lot on your turns. Coach Chu complimented you.

You knew it.

Where did you learn a new technique from?

- What? - I'll show you.

This is my secret weapon.

Isn't he amazing?

He is OK.

Jealous again?

So much.

I know. You are awesome too.

He's a world champion. Who am I?

You are my boyfriend.

Well...

What's wrong?

Your tail is up too high. I'm pressing it down.

Are you not convicend?

I am.

No...

Yu Yan, how are you?

So impolite.

One.

Again. You can do it.

Hurry. Two. Another.

Continue. Do it...

What's wrong? How many sets have you done?

You are not ready.

Do you know who has the biggest pressure?

Us figure skating team. Do you know why?

Because of you! You are the club's only hope of a gold medal.

Li Yubing is popular, but the ice hockey team...

Don't compare me to him!

Watch how you're speaking to me.

Isn't what I said the truth?

Did I say anything wrong?

My only competitor is myself.

I don't want to compete with anyone else, no matter who!

Okay.

Anything is okay.

As long as you keep training, and become a champion,

anything is okay.

I don't want to train anymore today.

What did you say? Your training for today isn't—

I said I'm done training.

Xu.

[Compilation of Black Scorpions Matches 17-18 Season ]

I just got it from somewhere, and it's not useful to me.

Watch it when you have time.

Thank you.

Competitions have been tough recently.

Drink up.

It's too oily. I won't drink it.

I'll drink it for you.

Where's Coach Jin?

I don't know where he went.

The physical exam results for the ice hockey team and short track speed skating team

have no problems.

Xia, can you have Zhang Yuewei come by sometime?

She has and old injury, I want to take another look.

Okay, thank you.

- He's here. - Coach Jin, come with me. I have something to discuss with you.

Coach's Office

[Aniboies]

Yu Yan is in good physical health. Then his problem is...

Yu Yan's mindset doesn't seem great.

I think it's related to his mental health.

Have his emotions been unstable recently?

He may be overexhausted.

I recommend having him go to a professional mental health clinic to get a checkup.

If anything is going on, we should discover it early on so it can be treated

to minimize the effect on future training and competitions.

Okay. Yu Yan doesn't know about this right?

I didn't want to tell him before it was certain.

I think it's better to check with a specialist first so that we can make sure of the best way to help him.

You're already an experienced gold medal coach.

You must know better than me how to handle this.

Not at all. Thank you for letting me know. I'll take care of this.

Okay, I'll get going then.

Little Xia, I brewed this soup for a really long time.

How is it? Is it good?

It's not bad.

Physical Examination Results

Yuewei, you need to watch out for your old injury. You can't go overboard with training.

Especially since tomorrow, you're competing with the team.

Got it.

Rest for a bit, okay?

Earlier, we familiarized ourselves with the competition location.

Tomorrow, Tang Xue and Zhang Yuewei are competing in the 500-meter race. Everyone else is competing in the 1000-meter race.

So you need to be extra careful of the competition pace.

Starting now, everyone rest up and maintain your condition.

Don't do anything else. Just rest and prepare for tomorrow's competition.

- Understand? - Understood.

National College Short Track Speed Skating Competition

I just finished practice. What are you up to?

I'm...

missing you.

Do you miss me?

A little.

Don't put too much pressure on yourself for tomorrow's competition. Just be your usual arrogant self and you'll be fine.

I'm confident I can finish in the top 3.

I just need to do well enough to persuade my dad to approve of me coming back to short track speed skating.

Okay, get some rest.

Bye.

Just be your usual arrogant self and you'll be fine. Get some rest.

Shut up!

Bing-bing, since you got a girlfriend, you've forgotten all about your friends.

You don't encourage anyone else.

You mean Brother Wei? I already texted her.

Also, with Brother Wei's ability— Fatty, what do you think?

Zhang Yuewei... the look in Zhang Yuewei's eyes could kill all of her opponents at once.

Good night.

Something bad has happened!

Zhang Yuewei, what's wrong with you?

Didn't I tell you that tomorrow's the competition, and not to train anymore today?

Why didn't you listen to me?

Doctor, how is her condition?

She's okay, she just pulled a muscle.

But her old injury's flared up again.

I would recommend for her to stop competing for now.

I need to compete.

I need to.

Please give me a corticosteroid injection. I'm begging you.

This girl is so hard on herself.

Coach, let me compete. I'm begging you.

I can't give up this gold medal.

I need to compete in this competition.

Please, a corticosteroid injection.

- Please. - Sit down.

I understand how you're feeling.

But if you do this, I can't be responsible for your injury.

If you want to compete,

you need to listen to me. Rest up.

Try to talk some sense into her.

Yuewei, listen to the doctor. Don't make a fuss.

Would you rather miss one competition, or end your career prematurely?

You're still young, and you have a long road ahead of you.

It's just one gold medal. We can afford to lose out on this one.

It's not just a gold medal.

I know, I know.

If your grandma was still here, would she let you act out like this?

Think about how hard you've worked.

Are you giving it all up?

I wonder how it's going.

You guys can head back first, I'll wait here.

We don't know how the captain's doing, none of us can sleep anyway.

- Let's wait together. - Yeah, let's wait together.

- Captain, how are you? - Captain, are you okay?

Coach, how's our captain doing?

Are you okay?

Yuewei didn't listen to me and continued training. This caused her old injury to flare up.

Tomorrow she won't be able to compete.

I'm sorry. I was too rash and didn't listen to Coach.

Tomorrow, I won't be able to compete,

but you guys have to do well.

You need to learn from my experience. Don't go on the ice before the competition. Understand?

Understood.

Captain, don't be sad.

Next year, I'll come back with you to compete again. You'll definitely be able to compete by then.

Yes, we will all be by your side.

Yes, we're all with you. You got this, captain.

Tang Xue. We're counting on you tomorrow.

One way or another, our LUU XDragons Club needs to have a champion.

Tang Xue, didn't you promise your dad to place in the competition?

It's like Yuewei said.

I hope you don't just place,

I hope you get first place, and bring back a gold medal.

Good luck.

Good luck.

Okay, it's getting late. Everyone go get some rest.

Tomorrow's the competition.

Captain, take your time. Go slowly.

Tang Xue.

[College Speed Skaing Championship]

[Woman's 500 meters, Group A]

Straight ahead. Professional athletes have to be quick.

Understand? Use your brains.

Look at it here.

Understand?

Yes.

Meeting dismissed.

Dismissed.

It has started?

Too bad Weiwei can't make it.

She'll be fine.

I'm here.

Here.

Huanhuan, this is speed skating.

It's over in a second before you open your snack.

It's a ritual.

Look, Xue shows up.

Lower your voice. It's not like you've never seen her compete before.

Keep pretending.

We're live at the National College Speed Skating Championship.

The first, women's 500 meters.

These are top college athletes.

To be honest,

you hope she wins, right?

Is it for me to decide?

It's full. Stop.

Hurry, it starts now.

Game is about to start.

It'll be a tight competition based on their performances.

Go to the start.

Ready.

Coach,

are you confident about me?

What? You are not confident?

I am. Tomorrow, I'll show them.

Let me witness your performance.

The third. Come on!

Pass her! Pass.

What is she doing?

Steady!

Charge!

Tang Xue is awesome!

She made a successful pass.

Great!

Not bad. Pretty good.

Put on your jacket.

Let's take a look.

Who passed the terminal first?

Who is it?

Congratulations to Tang Xue!

Tang Xue from LUU won by barely a quarter of a skate.

She's the winner. Congrats.

Congrats to Tang Xue, the winner of this match.

We hope to see her on the national team.

[Women's 500 meters, Group A]

Weiwei

Tang Xue, you did it.

If one day she becomes the world champion,

what qualification do you have to stand beside her?

Yanyan.

Why aren't you training?

Mom, you were right.

I'm not good enough. I need to work harder.

You're growing up.

Listen to your mom. Pressure is motivation.

I left for just a few days, and look at the place now.

It's so dirty. I'll clean up.

Everyone, we're going back to LUU tomorrow. We did well this time.

Tang Xue won the 500-meter gold medal, and Hong Shuang won the 1000-meter bronze medal.

Your scores have improved by a lot.

Tang Xue, can I see your gold medal?

- I want to see. - Wow, it's a gold medal.

Next time, I'll get a gold medal too.

Wow.

You? Forget about it.

Yuewei.

It's okay, I know what you're going to say.

Don't feel like you took my gold medal.

You did really well today. You deserve this gold medal.

I look up to you. I mean it.

Thank you, captain!

Tang Xue, you won the gold medal. Who do you want to thank the most?

Of course, it's Mommy Chu!

Ewwwww.

That's enough from you. I know there's someone else who comes before me.

- Who? - Who?

It's getting late, everyone head back and get some rest.

We're going home tomorrow!

You watched my competition?

It's your competition, of course I watched it.

I'm so happy i don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight.

Where's my dad?

Your dad? Your dad watched it too. He's pretending to be aloof, I'll show you.

Do you see him?

I see him.

Have him come talk for a bit.

Come here, come here. Your daughter wants to talk to you.

Daughter, Dad saw your competition. You skated really well today.

Then... do you support me returning to short track speed skating?

Daughter,

actually, in the past, Dad really just wanted you to

have a peaceful life.

But I was wrong.

I know now.

If short track speed skating is an ocean,

then my daughter is a big ship.

If we don't let the ship leave the harbor just to keep it safe,

the ship loses its meaning.

Xue, Mom and Dad's biggest wish

is for you to be happy,

and to live with a purpose. We support you.

Yay!

Look, look.

It's so pretty. It suits you so well, my daughter.

[College Speed Saking Championship]

[Congratulations to XDragons on the Speed Skating Champion]

[Congratulations to XDragons on the Speed Skating Champion]

[Welcome Back, Speed Skating Team]

A victorious return.

Weiwei is behind me.

- Are you OK? - Not a big deal.

- We worry about you. - No need to.

Take care of your business. Don't show off in front of us singles.

As long as you are fine.

I'll take this.

Athletes.

Rest well today. We'll see you in the gym tomorrow.

Dismissed.

Bye.

Xia.

Congrats.

Thanks.

From the school garden.

No. I did it casually.

Xia!

I heard the news. Brilliant!

Congrats.

Thanks. Well received.

Xia, you are magical.

Tang Xue won. Who else can make a national champion in such a short time?

Only you. Brilliant.

It's herself. She's devoted to it.

Brilliant.

The hero of XDragons!

Excuse me. I'm late.

I have something important to talk to you.

- What? - About Zhang Yuewei.

[Secret]

[Secret]

Grandma, are you disappointed?

- How did you know I'm here. - I just knew.

Well, you didn't invite me.

What's wrong?

Tell me about your troubles.

Have you thought about future?

Future? Not much.

I want to play ice hockey forever.

Only missing a professional team.

I used to think that way too.

I wanted to skate for the rest of my life.

But now, I'm not sure anymore.

Tell me the truth. Are you badly hurt?

I'm not. It's just an old injury, it'll get better with time.

But...

It was the best chance to enter the national roster.

And I missed it just like that.

Later, my age and my physical status. So many uncertainties.

- I don't know if there's another chance. - Zhang Yuewei.

Come here.

Why are you so dumb?

It's not like you. Didn't you hurt your leg?

Pulled muscle. I'll accompany you to physical therapy.

Just recovery.

I know. As long as your heart is still in it,

Nothing can stop you.

Take my hand. Don't open your eyes.

Are we there yet?

Almost there.

Don't be anxious.
