Love Is Sweet

Episode 26

Wait! You…

Be gentle, please.

Gentle. Be gentle.

Why did you run?

We are not here for money.

What did you run from?

But, sir

I… I really don’t know anything. I…

You don’t know?

I’ve told you. I’m not here for money.

But it doesn’t mean you are safe.

I remember I took the last guy who said

“I don’t know” to feed fish.

Feed fish?

Right?

What did you do to Qin Yueyuan?

I forgot to introduce him to you.

He is

a professional hitman I hired.

He’s known as the “Clean Cut”.

What?

He’s quick and brisk.

Cut…

Cut…

Sir,

then…

Sir…

Since you know nothing,

then I should just kill you!

Don’t!

Don’t!

Bro!

Bro! Bro!

Take it easy.

Give me a sec.

But,

sir…

But…

See that?

He has no mercy

when he’s mad.

I know.

There’s nothing I can do about it.

So, at this moment,

you only have two options.

Either live or die.

Which will you choose?

Live! Live!

I wanna live!

Bro,

he wants to live.

Yes! I do!

I wanna live.

You wanna live?

Yes! Yes!

Then tell me everything you know.

I will!

I will tell you!

It was Linda!

Linda asked me to do it!

Here’s what happened

back then.

Jiangnan Flavor Food

Mr. Yin. Jiangnan Flavor Food

Jiangnan Flavor Food

I heard that you’ve got a big order lately. Jiangnan Flavor Food

I heard that you’ve got a big order lately.

I happen to have a batch of beef.

All you need to do is to switch

the beef with mine.

I know

Yin Zaizhong, Production Manager of Jiangnan Flavor Food Co., Ltd. I know

Yin Zaizhong, Production Manager of Jiangnan Flavor Food Co., Ltd.

it’s quite difficult for you, Yin Zaizhong, Production Manager of Jiangnan Flavor Food Co., Ltd.

it’s quite difficult for you,

but it matters to your daughter’s life.

With this money,

you can take her to surgery right away.

After all, your kid is innocent.

Now,

wish us a successful cooperation!

Come on!

Congratulations, Mr. Cao.

You successfully took down Jiangnan Flavor.

Nice doing business with you.

Thanks to your meticulous plan,

C GROUP COMPANY Thanks to your meticulous plan,

things went very well. C GROUP COMPANY

So, Mr. Cao, C GROUP COMPANY

So, Mr. Cao,

you can find yourself a hiding spot now.

Miss Ling,

what do you mean?

I thought we’d all be benefited from this.

And now you can’t wait to get me out of the picture?

Mr. Cao, you misunderstood.

I’m just doing it for your good.

After all, you did the whole thing

all by yourself.

If you stayed in Shanghai,

it’d catch too much attention.

Are you threatening me?

Why do you say that?

We are on the same boat for God’s sake.

After you leave Shanghai,

we’ll give you an amount of money as reward.

I assure you that you won’t be disappointed.

And I promise

no one will bother you.

Miss Ling,

good for you!

Seems like I don’t have another choice.

Hope you’ll keep your word.

It’s so pleasant to work with a smart man

like you, Mr. Cao.

You said Linda asked you to do it.

Do you have proof?

I do!

I kept the remittance receipt from her in secret.

It’s in my phone.

Look.

Du Ling

Aside from Linda, who else

was involved in this case?

I contacted with Linda only.

After Linda left MH and joined GE,

she found me and made me the President of C Group.

She asked me to play her clients.

I always thought she was

the boss of C Group.

But whenever she talked,

she always mentioned

“we”.

So I’m not sure if someone else

was behind her.

If you dare

tell anybody

that you met us today,

I can’t guarantee

how long you’ll live.

I… I… I got it!

Got it.

But…

But…

But… But…

But what?

I… I’ve told Linda

that Mr. Du talked to me the other day.

Mr. Du, I…

You made the trouble.

You’d better fix it soon.

I will!

Over there!

Have you taken your pills regularly?

Some things

can’t be solved by taking pills.

So,

what are you doing here?

I need to ask you something.

About Jiangnan Flavor?

Cao Heng already told me everything.

Jiang Yaoming’s death wasn’t an accident.

You are so determined to find out the truth.

Are you doing it for yourself

or for her?

Sister,

we can’t keep making mistakes like this anymore.

Tell me what happened back then.

Let Jiang Jun know the truth

and give us a sense of closure.

The truth?

If I told you

I had something to do with Jiang Yaoming’s death,

would you continue the investigation?

I don’t believe at all that you’d do such things.

Who’s behind the whole thing?

No matter how much you’ve found out,

you’ve got to stop now.

Because you have no idea what a powerful enemy

you are about to confront.

I will find out who it is.

I’ve said all I needed to say.

If you insist on

going down this road,

we’ll be enemies in the future.

Sister!

That person already knows that Jiang Jun

is Jiang Yaoming’s daughter.

Inpatient Department

Yin Zaizhong,

former Manager

of Jiangnan Flavor Food Factory.

Five years ago, when Jiang Yaoming’s company

was taken over by C Group,

he didn’t choose to join C Group.

Instead, he opened a store himself.

His daughter once suffered from lymphoma.

She was recovered after surgery.

But it came back again one year ago.

She’s currently in hospital.

Sorry, sir.

I’m fine. Are you okay?

Sir,

you are so handsome.

It’s like you walked right out of the TV.

That’s so sweet.

I’m so sorry.

I’ve told you many times.

Don’t walk around alone.

I just went to get you some water,

and you were gone.

Have some warm water.

Mr. Yin?

You are…

It’s not important who I am.

But I believe

that you must know the people in this picture.

How long will she live?

The doctor said it’d be less than one year.

So you took the bribe from Cao Heng

for her surgery fee back then?

Although

it’s been years,

I know I can never escape from those things.

What do you wanna know?

Just ask away.

As Mr. Jiang’s partner,

do you know any details

about Jiangnan Flavor’s acquisition deal?

Jiang used his family’s secret rice noodle recipe

to create the brand “Yixianqian”.

Due to its good taste and rich ingredients,

it became very popular.

We all made money

and felt so happy.

So we suggested Jiang

open new factories

and online stores.

But we needed money to expand the business.

So Jiang turned to

the investment bank for financing.

Everything was going well, until one day

a man and a woman came to our factory.

They said they were in charge of the project.

Mr. Jiang,

why are you so stubborn?

Just a small change

to the production mode of the rice noodle

will reduce the production cost by 50%

Lin Taimo, GM of Investment Banking Dept. of MH Securities will reduce the production cost by 50%

Lin Taimo, GM of Investment Banking Dept. of MH Securities

or even more. Lin Taimo, GM of Investment Banking Dept. of MH Securities

or even more.

With the current reputation of “Yixianqian”,

Jiangnan Flavor’s valuation will be definitely

doubled.

I’ve said it.

I won’t change the production mode before the other

preservation methods are proved to be safe.

Then think of it this way.

“Yixianqian” is of high cost for now,

and it has a shelf life of only 15 days.

The instant rice noodles have the similar taste,

but the shelf life can be at least tripled.

In that case,

wouldn’t it be more convenient for the customers to carry and enjoy?

While there are no similar competitors,

I believe that “Yixianqian”

will quickly take over the market.

But in that way, the freshness and nutrition

of the ingredients will have to suffer.

Most importantly, the taste won’t be as good as before.

I’m sorry.

I don’t want my family secret recipe

to become another junk food.

Don’t try to convince me anymore.

I won’t agree it.

Mr. Jiang,

why don’t you…

Mr. Jiang.

If you are always this headstrong,

you will pay for your mistake

sooner or later.

After that,

Cao Heng, President of C Group, found me.

He promised to give me a big amount of money.

But I had to use his batch

of beef of poor quality.

I needed money for my daughter’s surgery,

so I agreed.

Then how did Mr. Jiang die later?

What?

You think there was more to Jiang’s death?

I’m still investigating that.

Do you still remember the name

of the man who talked to Mr. Jiang?

I think it was Lin…

Lin Taimo!

Congratulations!

You took the power back in MH.

I should thank you for reminding me.

I took a close look at her today.

Her personality

is quite like her father’s.

Really?

She’s just a nobody.

Do you have to take care of it yourself?

Lin Taimo Vice President

You have to be careful about a nobody. Lin Taimo Vice President

Lin Taimo Vice President

Since you are in GE and can’t help me,

I have to talk to her myself

to ease my mind.

Are you saying she knows

something about this case?

No worry.

She doesn’t know much.

And,

I won’t give her the chance to.

I called you all here

because Mr. Lin has a special assignment.

What you are looking at

is the materials of Hengsheng Group.

President Wang

of Hengsheng Group came visit us a few days ago.

He said he wanted to complete

the company’s transformation through M&A.

But we found out

that he also talked

to GE.

So, what you need to do

is to take the opportunity of President Wang’s Shanghai trip

and do your best

to keep this case to our MH.

Of course,

if any of you does a great job,

Mr. Lin said

that he’d promote that person to be a manager.

Since it’s such an important case,

Mr. Lin hopes that you can work

as a team

instead of working on it individually.

So, you need a team leader

to lead this case.

Jiang Jun,

I’ll name you the team leader.

But, Ms. Qiao…

Any problem?

No.

-No. -No.

Since we are all on the same page,

let’s get back to work.

Thank you, Ms. Qiao.

- Thank you, Ms. Qiao. - Thank you, Ms. Qiao.

As one climbs up relying on personal relationship,

why bother pretending to be a hard worker?

Come in.

Mr. Lin,

Secretary Bai asked me to bring these files to you.

Okay. I see.

By the way,

when Ms. Qiao briefed you guys

on Hengsheng Group’s case,

you seemed to have a problem with the team leader arrangement.

Why didn’t you say something?

I have no problem, Mr. Lin.

I think it was a misunderstanding.

I wanted to say something. But

Ms. Qiao told me not to talk with her eyes.

So I didn’t say anything.

You stopped just because

she wouldn’t let you talk?

Isn’t it just a play through which

you pave the road for Jiang Jun?

I provide you guys

with only one promotion opportunity,

and ask you to work together

under the management of a team leader,

because I want you to form

a sense of crisis

and a sense of competition.

So, you mean…

My subordinates

will never give up easily.

I will never let go

the things I want.

As long as the result is good,

I’ll try to accomplish my goal by all means,

regardless of the methods and process.

President Wang

is a strict and professional businessman.

When someone is late

for an appointment with him,

he’d be really angry.

The files are all sorted out. Here you go.

Thank you.

You are welcome.

When’s your appointment

with President Wang tonight?

His schedule is quite tight

on this trip,

so I’ll meet him at 10:00 p.m. tonight.

Why don’t you

go with me?

We went through all the files together.

I can always use some help during the meeting.

No. I don’t think so!

I still have something else to do.

Just… Just go by yourself.

What’s wrong?

Nothing.

I still have things to do.

I’m leaving.

Okay. Bye.

is mainly in a state of shock.

Thank you, doctor.

You are welcome.

I will protect you

no matter what it takes.

Where’s Jiang Jun’s ward?

Over there.

Who are you? Why do you block the way?

Mr. Lin, remember me?

Mr. Du.

Long time no see.

I’m here today

to make a deal with you.

Then is it necessary

to knock my driver out?

Plus,

I don’t remember we have

any deal to talk about.

I’ve found out what happened five years ago,

including Jiang Yaoming’s death.

You dare to investigate me?

I was also involved.

So it’s not scary that I investigated you.

What’s scary is that Yuan Shuai

investigated you with me.

He also knows everything.

He’s collecting evidence and going to report you.

As I recall,

you are always defeated by him.

Even so, you could still work with him.

You are such a broad-minded person.

Mr. Lin, you don’t have to mock me.

I approached him

so that I could know him better.

And now it’s the perfect timing

to take him down.

I don’t trust you.

As one who always acts alone,

why do you suddenly need my help?

It’s not convincing at all.

I’ll tell you Yuan Shuai’s weakness.

And I need you to give me Jiang Jun.

So it’s all for a girl!

I’m surprised that you have a romantic soul.

But,

she’s Jiang Yaoming’s daughter.

I can’t let her live.

Don’t worry.

Jiang Jun knows nothing so far.

I can promise you that.

When things are done, I’ll help you watch her.

Our common enemy for now

is only Yuan Shuai!

You are awake.

I thought I’d never see you again.

Thank you for finding me.

Don’t be silly.

We are finally together.

I won’t let you leave me again.

Even God

cannot take you away from me.

Dare to steal a girl from God.

That’s quite impressive.

Lie down.

Here.

Just

take a good rest today.

I’ve helped you to ask for a day off.

Lie down with me for a while.

Jiang Jun.

I’ve checked the surveillance tape.

It wasn’t

an accident.

Shen Xin did it to you.

She removed the repair sign on purpose.

Shen Xin?

How do you want to deal with this?

I’ll listen to you.

About this matter,

you don’t have to get involved.

I’ll solve it myself.

No way!

She almost killed you.

As the saying goes,

“Sweep before your own door”.

I’m sure I also have my own problem.

I’m too insensitive to the office culture, making

my workplace relationships such a mess.

This incident is actually a reminder to me.

So I wanna try to solve it by myself first.

Okay?

Alright.

I’m sure you’ll do a good job.

So sleepy.

I’ll sleep for a while, and go to work in the afternoon.

Why are you going to work?

You need more rest.

Got it?

No.

I wanna be an independent woman.

I can’t just rely on my husband…

Your what?

Say it again.

Jiang Jun?

Jiang Jun!

I heard you had an accident last night.

Are…

Are you alright?

Did you get hurt?

I’m curious.

When you did this thing,

have you considered my feelings?

What are you talking about?

I don’t understand.

You don’t?

You removed

the sign on purpose.

Are you too afraid to admit it?

That’s a lie!

Do… Do you have evidence?

You two,

come to my office.

You want evidence, right?

Take a look at this.

Doesn’t the bracelet in the picture

look quite familiar to you?

Ms. Qiao!

Ms. Qiao! Sorry!

Enough!

I don’t wanna hear your nonsense.

You will be dismissed by MH because of this,

and you won’t be accepted

by any other investment bank in the future.

Moreover, what you did is a crime.

If you wanna cry,

save your tears for the police.

Jiang Jun!

Jiang Jun, I’m sorry!

I just wanted you to be late for your appointment.

I didn’t expect things would end up like that.

Please forgive me, Jiang Jun!

I’m begging you!

I don’t wanna leave here!

Jiang Jun, please!

Please forgive me! I shouldn’t have done that!

Ms. Qiao.

I know you are angry.

So am I.

But I think there must be some misunderstanding.

I wanna have a moment with her.

I’ll get back to you later,

okay?

Thank you, Ms. Qiao.

Jiang Jun!

Jiang Jun! Please forgive me!

If I left a paper trail,

my whole life would be ruined.

I thought you just got jealous easily,

but I was so wrong.

Turns out you were jealous

and stupid.

I just wanted to fight for an opportunity.

That’s why I said you were stupid!

If you want to surpass the others,

you should strive for it.

Why play all the tricks?

Have you thought

that if anything really happened to me yesterday,

how could you escape from the law?

What about your parents?

And what about your future?

I know

even if I apologize to you,

it’s already pointless.

I can leave MH,

even the investment bank field.

But could you please not to turn me in?

I don’t want to go to prison.

Jiang Jun!

I’m begging you!

Cry!

How would that help?

Should you be the one crying?

Plus,

when did I say that I’d turn you in?

You…

You won’t hold me accountable?

I didn’t get hurt.

What would I hold you accountable for?

And

how would it be beneficial to me if I asked Ms. Qiao to fire you?

I’d better keep someone

whom I got the goods on around.

Maybe one day

I can use you as a scapegoat.

Thank you, Jiang Jun.

Stop it. You are making me uncomfortable.

I’ll talk to Ms. Qiao later.
