Pennsylvania in the 1960s.

His winery, Chaberton Estates,

is known for their award-winnig
Cabernet, and Catawba Ros�.

It has remained
a family business,

but it did open up a whole new
world for Macklin.

Larger vineyards sprang up,
tourists arrived by the busloa.

Twelve months ago, on
October 27th at 5:00 PM,

Colton Saunier entered the vat
room at Chaberton Estate.

He didn't have to do
manual labour anymore,

but he liked it.

He said it helped him think.

That night, he decided
to clean vat number 30.

His body was found inside
the vat only hours later.

The cause of death
was C02 poisoning.

After an investigation
it was ruled an accident,

but there are questions
that remain.

Could an experienced winemaker
like Colton Saunier

forget the basic precautions?
