in texas

but noah's about to make a big statement

and gathering data can be the difference

between winning i think she's back

and losing forty thousand dollars

this is farm truck and asian and we're

at norwalk ohio

at summit motorsports park it's more of

a racetrack than a park though bro

yeah i totally agree it's a bit

misleading

after high altitude racing in colorado

teams are preparing their cars

for lower elevation here that means

we'll see

faster passes tonight during grudge

racing

team okc is loaded up tonight for team

races

while nola will continue to pick and

choose who they grudge

but team texas and team outcasts have

limited cars ready for grudge night so

the pressure is on to gain data and make

clean passes tonight

there's our leader we were just talking

about being honest

you know we sucked this year but we're

fast oh man

we do suck i must sound like a broken

record

but team texas has struggled during

grudge night and colorado was no

different

shawn wilhoite's mistress caught fire

hey front of the carpet on this side

and eric bain thrashed his car

nobody here is slow i mean we're all

dangerous

fighting everybody's just been fighting

grimlock he's leaving rods on the track

he's having exhaust cracked

we got nothing to lose let's put it that

way that's what that's what makes it so

dangerous we have nothing to lose

we good with uh yours yeah my ride's

good

no leaks no more leaks oh i zipped out a

towel front to back

grudge night strategies haven't worked

for texas but they're sticking together

no matter what

so the few cars they have ready to roll

will gather data for everyone else

how may i help you sir so kelly's car he

got he got hit running

this thing was running fantastic until

he came up here

team outcast is also dealing with broken

cars

but unlike texas their grudge racing

strategy has paid off with axeman

going all the way to the finals in

joliet

right there and vixen

going to the finals in colorado

tonight they'll tweak their strategy and

focus on only racing each other while

drivers like kelly blue ball wrench on

their cars

i feel like i've got the best team i've

got the best guys

do not get me wrong we will all send the

rods through the pad or put the car

through the wall to try to outrun the

other one but when we got it band

together

we're going to band together that's how

it's lost though

not nowhere near that now so i'm saying

that that's the one spring we just

changed

so going by that we got about seven

thousand feet

better air this is what 9 100 in denver

yeah 96 yeah 96 so so we're right here

at 2800 here so

cars gonna run way better back in

colorado

the high altitude and lack of air caused

engines to struggle

and nola left with damaged

very motors now up here in colorado

we're down on power that means we've got

to add more nitrous

and adding more nitrous there's always a

risk of blowing up the motor

it's like 9 200 feet of air today we got

2 800 feet

thanks to colorado me and lizzie's both

got fresh motors yeah so

yeah you got a brand new motor motor so

we're sitting on three fresh motors

and this track is slick and i think it's

gonna be anybody's game

with the way our cars are running and

like you said we all got brand new

motors i think

any three of us can take you nola's

shipping out new motors into ohio so

tonight they'll need to communicate with

one another on what is and what isn't

working on their new setups for this

track

and they'll stay away from racing other

teams the last thing they want is

leaking data to the competition

about their new motors leaking data or

oil

really any leaks are not good for

raising at the end of the day

i want our team to win i don't care if

it's any three of us and where'd that

come from

who are we nowadays

i want us to win bad

all right so here we are at the seventh

race

in norwalk ohio but we can make a

statement right here

and then going into the last two races

we can make it

where texas can't touch us and nola

can't catch ryan team okc has found

a groove to their grudge night strategy

racing only each other while letting

chief

take outside hits it's been a strong

strategy for the 405 and in colorado

it helped chief win the entire event

oh my god oh my god big

chief pulls off the upset

obviously obviously team texas is

fighting amongst themselves and they are

kind of folding team

exactly so when i showed up this season

mind you a couple races late all i had

heard about

was that texas kicked everybody's ass

and it was oklahoma versus texas

supposedly when i got here i couldn't

understand

why oklahoma versus texas at anything

because texas hasn't won a

thing since i've been here team okc will

continue their team grudge racing

strategy in ohio

and with his confidence running high

chief will go after a team

texas heavy hitter to steal some data

lutz and chuck 55 are kicking off grudge

night in ohio

and we'll start collecting data for the

405.

let's had some trouble spooling back in

colorado's high altitude

so he'll be focused on getting a good

jump off the light

lux gets a good jump on the tree and

puts down a solid first pass

for the 405. and it shows that his car

doesn't have the same spooling issues

here

but chuck 55 stalls out and the 405 take

away

only one pass of data for their first

drudge race

back in colorado's grudge night chuck's

engine blew

up and took him out of the competition

car's hauling ass it's got a brand new

motor and i put a brand new motor in it

to come here

on the first pass grudge racing monza

two rods broke

looks like to me they were starved with

oil but regardless the end result

is catastrophic failure got the block

and the blanket and everything it broke

the block i think the blanket was on

fire

yeah he caught everything

this grudge night will be very important

for chuck to break in his new motor

so he's lined up a race with monza

who'll push him to put down a fast pass

hey make sure the bleep button is ready

because if chuck blows up again

we're gonna need to use it let me test

it

it's ready yeah you definitely can't say

on tv oh yeah how about this

coming up team outcast looks to step up

their game in ohio

we got a screw blower second thing we're

gonna do is we got a screw blower

team nola tests out their brand new

motors we get some cars down so

we'll get some data i should take it i

don't see why not

and team okc has engine troubles during

grudge night i don't know

chuck gets a good jump but monza goes

around him on the big end for the win

both deliver data for the 405. chuck's

new motor puts down a strong pass

a great sign for him at the start of

dredge knight

damn monza don't rob me at the

with this car if it doesn't plant and

get back on the rocker you can't do

nothing you know

okay so we put the armageddon tune up in

it

early and then the colorado tune about

the back

after winning the event in colorado

chief is coming into ohio with a bunch

of confidence

he's setting his car back up for the

lower elevation

so before he takes an outside race he's

going to test his tune-up with fellow

team okc

driver robin roberts

we're still doing it we're learning

we're going to the different tracks

we're trying to figure out what each

different track does or doesn't do

and what each one of them has you know

the lanes and the bumps and all that

you know if the track is smooth where

the transitions are

there's a lot to figure out robin's

struggled lately so it'll be hard for

outside teams to gauge how fast chief is

on this track

exactly what the 405 wants

big chief and robin launch off the line

cleanly

but then pull left almost immediately

robin heads towards the wall and pulls

the shoots

early but big chief hangs in there and

muscles his way

for the wind light looking chief flexing

those muscles

with a pass under his belt chief will

now look to set up a race with the

rivals

team texas looks like it went it like

you know he bounced up spun a little

this way

starting line bro but i know that pass

ain't gonna outrun no

all my plots and all that like i have

nothing to load in it because i can't go

back and load something

yeah to go walk out okay

you could download you could download

your last run we could make a plot off

of your last run

you could take a take that laptop if you

didn't clear your data logger

data log download the log

and then we can pull the we can make the

plot off of that

okay i can do that daddy dave is up

against ryan martin but he's having

trouble with the tune in his car

he's probably using a 1975 texas

instrument calculator that's what i use

on the farm truck

gotta upgrade that software dave i

didn't clear it so

so you just download the save the log

logger download the last logo

save the log i've downloaded the last

couple i think we're in there

yeah whatever one you want to go off of

probably your last event

ryan and dave work through the solution

just before race time

hey if his racing crew doesn't pan out

ryan could make a splash in the i.t

world

when i put some of the fastest paths we

have together for this thing

make a good hit we're going to do what

we do

both ryan and dave are going to build

off previous okc

passes and hopefully dave doesn't have

any lingering program issues

dave gets to jump on rhino the fireball

goes around him and takes the win

both deliver strong passes for the 405

and dave's programming issues aren't a

problem anymore

it's a great all-around team effort must

have put new batteries in that texas

instrument

calculators i think we ought to be good

i mean 2800 feet ain't ideal but it

ain't bad there but

we got a fresh motor so we don't have

much power as we ever had and we can use

all the nitrous here as opposed to up

there we couldn't

yeah look just from the from the engine

standpoint alone we're going to be just

fine

it even sounds better like up there

sound like it was running backwards

kai and the rest of team nola are coming

into ohio's grudge night

with fresh motors and with better air

their nitrous setups will perform to

their full

potential the good thing about running

here is

unlike denver we can actually use the

six kid you know

denver i was scared to turn on the fifth

we'll judge it by the pistons again

denver yeah there's a reason for it

kai and jerry bird are first up for team

noah

they'll start off grudge night by seeing

how much power this track can handle

no doubt they're going to turn all their

kits on here kai's got a six-pack and

can't wait to crack it open

it went red kai red lights but puts down

a fast pass and jerry makes a solid hit

as well

the new motors work well which is a huge

relief for team nola

and as everyone knows a working motor is

a happy motor

yeah the car's really running good the

transmission's coming around and

i'm happy with the transmission i'm so

glad we should have did that a long time

ago man

yeah i feel confident

you didn't you didn't mess with a catch

can huh team noel is bringing scott

taylor up next

he's got a new motor as well but he'll

be testing it out against a racer

without a team

detroit's brian chucky davis in his 69

camaro

and after seeing kai and jerry's race

scott is going to put down as much power

as he can

with his new motor as well

the good thing is from colorado to here

we picked up about 12 pounds of boost

so we're back to sea level pretty much

and that makes a huge difference on a

pro charger car

so we got all the power we need we just

got to figure out how we can use it

brian chucky davis gets loose on the big

end and has to lift early

but scott puts down a fast pass of data

for team nola to share

and most importantly team nola's motors

are working well so far in ohio

disco dean is also starting ohio's

grudge night off with a new motor

and he's ready to show it off in front

of his home state

we got a screw blower the second thing

we're gonna do is we've got a screw

blower

and third thing we're gonna do is get we

got a screw blower a screw blower is

the god of all gods for power adders it

just has to be sitting

on top of my motor

a screw blower is so efficient and the

intake charge

is very cold temperatures and it uses it

has very low parasitic drag

we we putting some timing in it we're

taking a little bit of fuel away we

tickling it in the middle

and she gonna run out the back door

parasitic grade would be a great name

for a band

i'd camp out for tickets after the last

race we were out in colorado we had a

couple issues with the car we blew the

headers open so we had to go back after

that race

and build new collectors and headers for

the car so we're out here

first race with new setup we're gonna

you know go up there

and see what happens

team outcast is bringing disco and

another heavy hitter the vixen to the

line

first they'll start off by putting down

a

powerful pass and collect some data for

the team

uh

after both drivers bump in vixen stalls

and red lights

dean launches off the starting line but

suffers some mechanical issues

it's a bad start for team outcast who

comes away with only one pass of data

and disco will go back to the pits to

fix his new motor

let's do our deal okay you know we

always run the car

low on power after blowing up her engine

in colorado

lizzie also has a new motor to start

grudge night

and even though nola's put down some

solid passes she's not going to swing

for the fences and risk another motor

we get some cars down so get some data

looking at the cars

and me and adam will make a final phone

oh should take it i don't see why not

lizzy set up a race with another racer

without a team

wayne out of jupiter florida and his car

tropical thunder

nola isn't taking any outside races with

other teams a strategy that will keep

any data out of their toughest

competition

nola wants to bank another clean passive

data here

so lizzy is focused on getting her car

down the track without any damage

lizzy gets down the track with a

straight fast pass while wayne

has to save tropical thunder heading

right for the wall

team nola is rolling in ohio they're

communicating what is and what isn't

working on this track

and using the strategy of racing one

another or drivers without teams to

their advantage

this track has handled a lot of power

during the day but now the sun

is setting and the track is cooling off

so teams will test to see if the

conditions have changed at night

team nola is coming to the track first

to test the nighttime conditions

this time jerry bird is against another

racer without a team

kansas randy williams

team nola put together great passes in

the daytime

and now jerry will be focused on getting

data on track conditions at night for

team nola

randy williams has staging issues and

has to shut

it down which gives jerry bird a free

solo pass

immediately after launching off the

starting line jerry hits a bald spot on

the track

and loses traction and has to lift and

isn't able to take advantage of the solo

pass

for team nola as for randy williams he's

unable to make a pass

and without a team to work with he

leaves grudge night with no

data to analyze

you know randy doesn't take well to

trends or teams

he's pretty much punk rocker don't tell

him uh or his broken car what's cool bro

we staged the nitrous energized

in neutral on the starting line so when

i hit the

staging button button to kill and lock

that motor down so i won't blow the

motor

it took out the transmission

[Music]

lut started okc's grudge racing today

with one of the team's strongest passes

tonight the 405 is sending him to the

line first

[Music]

he'll be racing dominator who's on the

track for the first time tonight

he's got a bunch of data to work off of

so he'll swing for the fences and keep

pace with lutz

mr lutz is rolling in ohio after putting

down another fast pass

dominator came off the line strongly but

on the big end lost power

so team okc has another car dealing with

mechanical issues

so i just ran jeff lutz in my last

grudge race

the car is rolling i'm happy

i mean i haven't been this happy with

the car in a long time

and probably 300 feet out it just shuts

off

it started roll it was rolling over fine

and then

the cam stopped turning so i've either

sheared the dowel pin off the camshaft

or i've stripped the belt the timing

belt

either one is gonna be bad at 8 500 rpm

it probably bent

every freaking intake valve in it and

the

part is it was finally going again oh

you got to be

me we went from making a great pass

to that thing just ate about 15 grand

there is absolutely no way i can tear

this thing apart

put a motor in it and be race ready

tomorrow

chuck seitzinger and daddy dave have

destroyed their own motors during

previous grudge nights

but after strong passes earlier today

they're looking to bring more data to

the 405 and refine their tunes

possible problems in the left lane let's

see if chuck can get it going

well this isn't good chuck just had to

shut it down at the line

and the death trap may live up to its

name he does not look happy in there

get that bleep button ready

and chuck's new motor is having issues

on the line his breaking news for

breaking motors is a part of team okc's

strategy maybe

seems like that would be a really bad

strategy

hang on a second we're gonna see if we

can figure out what's wrong with the car

real quick what's it doing

no throttle i don't know what's going on

at this point i don't know

if we're getting bad parts i don't know

if we're missing something

i don't know if something the tune-up

got messed up at this point i don't know

what's going on

all i know is i've got to step back

figure out what's going on i have

destroyed

two motors that have seven passes on

both motors together

and uh you can't win races you can't win

championships

and you can't compete when you're

spending

18 times more than money than you're

making so um

it's up to me it's my racing program

i've got to figure out what's going on

and get to the bottom of it okay

yeah something's hanging right there the

springs i know

put it on i'll get it

well dave puts down another clean pass

and he's got a locked in tune that fits

this track well

chuck is able to make it down the track

also but flames kick out of the motor on

the bay game

it's a bad sign when you got flames

coming out of everywhere

and another 405 car has some serious

mechanical issues here in norwalk

team texas is finally coming back to the

track with amarillo mike

and eric bain better late than never

right

well let's see how this pans out these

two faced off last week in colorado

and amarillo had a front row seat to

bane blowing up his motor

but bane has been working hard all

morning to get it back up and running

if we can tighten that hose up right

here or do something here but this on

the header

is what's filling up my cabin it might

have a hole in there

yeah that's this is what's filling up

the cabin

yeah let's do that yeah we actually blew

the motor in colorado

we put the spare engine in full pressure

on that motor too

called up steve morris we've actually

put bearings in this thing yesterday

we were far into grudge night and with

so few texas drivers racing tonight

these two have got to put down a fast

pass here but let's hope he doesn't have

a repeat of last week

yeah that would be bad for business

amarillo red lights but still puts down

a ton of power

and completes the pass i probably didn't

want to see baine blow up again

that doesn't sound like a good strategy

either bane didn't get a good jump

and there was a serious lack of power

he's got some work to do

but the silver lining texas comes away

with one pass of much-needed data

team texas is sending birdman to the

track next hoping to refine the tune

amarillo just put down

fire man set up a race with team outcast

rich brooder in the fixing

he's got a big opportunity to gain data

on the track and another team's heavy

hitter

vixx installed at the light lash race

he'll be focused on getting a clean

pass plus some nighttime data for team

outcast

it's a clean launch off the line for

both drivers

but birdman takes a hard left towards

the center line and soon after

has to lift that bird ain't flying

straight tonight

but it's a good run for the vixen he has

refined his tune to fit this track

tonight

and all of team outcast will be able to

use that data

to their advantage we raced here before

it's a great facility

a lot of fans you know we're out here

the track looks good

the weather is great and i think we're

gonna be ready to go

team outcast wants to hone in on the

tune vixen just put down

so they're bringing out two of their

drivers for a grudge axeman

and b-rad

it's the last race for team outcast

tonight so both drivers are going to put

down as much power as possible to see

how much this track can take

luminasti backfires out of the

carburetor and b-rad

sees flames ax-man gets jumpy in red

lights

he continues the run and puts down a

straight pass with a ton of power

it's a messy way to end their night as

team outcast comes away with another

broken car

big chief waited all night but has stuck

to his strategy

with setting up a grudge with team texas

so now he's taking on the heavy hitter

mike marilla but marilla's coming to

ohio with more

engine issues it's good

all right i'm trying new things that i

normally wouldn't

i'm i'm throwing more snot at our girl

leaving the starting line than i ever

have and it's

it's responding but at the same time

it's almost a little bit uncontrollable

so

but we got nothing to lose

marilla beat chief last week at

colorado's grudge night

so big chief will be focused on stealing

data

and redemption

grudge racing is a huge opportunity to

collect data on the track

look at that that looks beautiful too

this thing's in holland yeah it looks

really good you're paying for data yeah

tuition that was tuition however there's

always a chance of destroying a motor

during these high

powered races

it's a risk every racer takes heading to

the line

we went from making a great pass to

they can rely on their teammates to

gather more data

think he's passed at all are they

i think it might be some high teams

we'll get one more round of data and

it's not the redemption chief was

especially when he had to lift at 100

foot mark but i'm sure he'll take it

and missed an opportunity coming away

with no data on team texas

heavy hitter big chief can't be happy

still believe in you

every grudge pass i made was crap the

car was not doing what it was told and

i had no idea if i even should be here

at this point

which is weird because i just came off

winning the whole damn thing at the last

one i'm a little nervous that i don't

have enough for the heavy hitters yet so

there's just a lot to figure out

after chief's unsuccessful race and

dominator and chucks destroyed their

motors

the 405 needs to end grudge night on a

high note

so the team has called on their heavy

hitter ryan martin

ryan had a great pass in the fireball

earlier today

and now he's looking to lock in a tune

for team okc and salvage their night

chuck 55 also had mechanical issues

earlier today

and we'll see if he's fixed those

problems or if he'll be added to team

okc's damaged goods department

the denton ding department for sale

what a drag race right there ladies and

gentlemen but

fireball camaro crews be too much on the

top end and takes the win

ryan puts down another fast pass showing

his tune works for the track at night

something the entire team will want to

build off of and chuck 55

gets his chevy down the track for a

clean pass

also a good result for team okc

team nola is closing out grudge night

and after successful passes today

they'll look to lock in a tune that fits

the track at night

after all the issues in colorado's thin

air scott taylor and kai kelly want one

last pass on these new setups

just breathe nitrous motors just breathe

scott gets off the line clean but goes

dancing on the big end

moving back and forth a bunch shaking

that money maker

kai beat him off the tree and never saw

him he laid down a great pass and gave

tinola a tune to use for the night

conditions

and most importantly team nola goes in

tomorrow's main event with their new

motors

intact and ready to roll

and that will do it for tonight norwalk

who needs it the most high chuck's car's

hurt so really

he needs it more than i do and use their

hurt motors to their advantage

and by continuing to grudge only each

other

finals race

and capped it off

by beating kai kelly for another win

mainly all i can do is try to make sure

the 405 doesn't win
