Welcome to Joseon.

Thank you for your warm welcome.

I am very touched that even the Princess came to welcome me.

He is glad to be welcomed,

and he is impressed as the Princess came out herself to greet him.

Your Majesty.

Please revoke your royal command.

Can you not be in charge of the reception?

They pointed you out,

and you are the only one I can put my trust in.

Please take care of the Princess.

This is not an order.

This is a favor I ask of you.

An elegant lady?

Right, Your Highness.

Gosh, this is making me feel so awkward.

The Princess pretending to be elegant and obedient.

I cannot wait to watch that.

You tamed the Princess who used to be out of control.

You are the best.

Looking at them today, they made a great couple together.

The Prince of Qing seems to be very fond of her.

If she continues to act coy...

like she is doing now,

everything will go according to the plan.

- Is that not right? - Sure.

I am starting to like the Princess.

What brings you here, Director Gyun?

I could hear your laughing from outside.

What is making you feel so great?

It is the country's joyous occasion...

that the Princess is soon to get married.

Do not be so happy yet.

The Princess is...

still in this palace.

You must be tired from the long journey.

You must be tired from the long journey.

It is natural for a man to see a lady off.

He says it is natural for a man to see a lady off.

I will come and get you in the morning.

- He will come to see... - Thank you...

for being the translator for my marriage.

Thank you, Master Gyun.

I look forward to your good work.

I will see you tomorrow.

I will see you tomorrow.

I will see you tomorrow.

Would you like a cup of tea?

Are you close with the Princess?

Why do you ask?

Answer me first.

She has been very gracious to me...

while I teach the Prince. There is nothing else.

I see.

I was hoping you would be close to her.

I came to propose to her...

without even knowing who she is.

How can you live together for a life time...

without any feelings?

I do not mind what it is,

but I want to know about her more.

Your Highness.

About the Prince of Qing...

He looks more handsome than I expected.

He is tall, gentle, and kind.

He is a very competent person.

I strongly recommended him to be the translator.

I will try my best.

What a jerk.

I have committed a mortal sin. Please...

I do not mind what it is,

but I want to know about her more.

I pray to all the spirits.

Please stop my son from being talked by others.

Please stop my son from running into...

the Princess ever again.

Mother!

What? Is your father here?

You do not need to pray anymore.

Your concern is all solved now.

What are you talking about?

The Princess is getting married.

The Prince of Qing came all the way here to propose to her.

Is that true?

Goodness.

Once she leaves for Qing,

she will never step in Woo's life again.

My goodness, spirits.

Thank you so much! My prays are being paid off now.

- Thank you. - You only did it once.

How many times does not matter. How much effort you put matters.

- Thank you. - By the way,

Woo is in charge of the reception.

Why is my son doing that?

- I do not know. - Goodness.

Mother, I am home.

Woo.

I heard you are doing the reception.

- Does your father know? - Woo,

- is the Prince of Qing handsome? - Goodness, seriously.

I told you not to get involved with her.

Why would you do such a thing?

It is not that you are the only one who can speak their language.

Why is it you of all people?

Mother, let me change clothes.

Sure.

Can you stop doing that reception?

I am tired. Could you step out?

Son.

I will talk to you later.

Stop it. I do not need anything else.

Mother, let us talk later.

Woo, there must be a lot of people who can speak their language.

Prince.

Are you really not going to eat?

Are you going to starve?

I do not want to talk to you.

Prince.

Why did you lie?

You promised me you would never leave me alone.

Are you saying I should not marry anyone in my whole life?

But you are going too far away.

It is not.

Hye Myung.

Are you really going to Qing?

Do not go.

She is...

alive?

The Princess...

has been looking for her mother.

It was the reason why she remained silent.

My King.

What should I do, Mother?

Must I send her off like this?

Her being alive...

will not make a difference.

She could be put in danger...

if we find her now after all this time.

It is right to keep it buried.

Stay strong.

Think only about protecting the Princess and the Prince.

I heard you frequented that butcher's.

Have you seen this man at other places?

I just saw him when I went to buy meat. That is all.

Was there anything suspicious about the owner?

Did you see anyone who came by that place often?

Goodness.

You investigated all then.

I do not know any more of it.

It seemed like Master Jung was another regular of that place.

I have Master Min's letter.

He mentioned...

my mother in the letter.

I...

cannot leave this country...

before I find the truth about all this.

What do you mean you could find no one?

The day when she was dethroned,

her palanquin was attacked by the bandits.

Do you remember?

How can I forget that?

I searched the whereabouts of her servants...

except those who died that day.

They either died or went missing.

There are no records...

and no witnesses.

(Min Yoo Hwan's letter)

Did you have a good night?

Did you have a good night?

I could not get any sleep.

He could not get any sleep.

Was your residence not comfortable?

Was your residence not comfortable?

I was too excited to sleep because I was thinking of you.

He was too excited to sleep...

because he was thinking of you.

Was that a little too much?

The Prince of Qing.

They have prepared a festival for you, Your Highness.

How about enjoying the great view at the peak of Mount Inwang today...

and throwing a festival at night?

How about enjoying the great view at the peak of Mount Inwang today...

Great view...

I have seen enough of great views on the way here.

I want to see the real part of Joseon.

He enjoyed the view already on his way.

Princess, could you show me around?

- Hold this. - Okay.

This way.

How do I look?

He is asking for your opinion.

That is pretty.

What is this?

Thank you.

Thank you.

What a shame!

You missed it.

It was only a two-leaf difference.

I will see you next time.

Try the lucky arrows. 3 for 2 yang.

If you shoot the chicken head,

we will give you a reward.

It is your chance to present your lover a pretty hairpin.

Try out!

- Honey. - Me!

Come on out.

Here I go.

Pay first.

Great, hold it like that.

Pull it hard.

Now, shoot!

Gosh, that was not strong enough.

(Rewards: Hairpin, ornament, lantern)

Princess, I will make the shot...

and give that as a present to you.

He says he wants to present it to you.

Tell him I will look forward to it.

She says she will look forward to it.

Thank you, Princess.

Would you like to give it a try?

No, no.

You try too.

I am okay.

Are you afraid you would lose?

That was close.

How do you say "Go for it" in Chinese?

It goes like this.

- Go for it! - Thanks!

That was close. My goodness.

That hit the target!

Another bull's-eye!

I will give this to you.

Thank you.

May I put it on for you?

He wants to put it on your hair himself.

Master Min's letter?

He left the message about the dethroned queen to the Princess.

What did I say?

I told you she acted suspicious!

Since when did you raise your voice to me like this?

Do not forget...

how you earned your place.

Search it in her room...

secretly.

We should find out what is written in it.
