Dear Herbal Lord Season 2

Episode 6

Please give me a tip,

High Priest.

Well,

there's still a solution,

but it's just a bit risky.

I must rescue Qingyun

even if I have to risk my life.

Fine.

Now that you've made up your mind,

I'll surely try my best to help you.

As long as you give this to that evil spirit,

you will meet the person you want to meet.

Come in.

Mr. Herbal Lord,

here's a letter from Spring Beauty House.

Spring Beauty House?

Is it the restaurant full of girls?

Which girl wrote this letter to you?

I'm talking to you!

What did you say?

It's getting late,

I'm going back home.

What's up?

Are you angry with me?

Nothing, I just want to go back home.

Little Woad!

The soul of affection

is so strange.

It makes me happy one minute,

but upset the next.

Why did someone in Spring Beauty House

write a letter to him?

Is it possible

that he wants to absorb her medicinal energy?

No,

I have to get a clear answer from him.

But if I asked him about this,

he wouldn't tell me the truth.

I’ve got an idea!

Since he wants to hide this from me,

I must check this out.

Mr. Herbal Lord!

Come on,

this way please.

Well, no wonder Chu Zhimo

sent me off in such a hurry.

It turns out that he went to visit other girls.

Sir!

I want to get inside.

Let me go.

So,

you are just a little girl.

Why do you want to visit Spring Beauty House?

I'm a man.

That's enough.

Stop pretending.

I've seen

lots of girls dressed in men’s clothes like you

who want to get in and stir up trouble.

Go away.

Don't keep me from my business.

Humph.

You are quite a generous man, sir.

Come on,

get inside, sir.

Come on.

Sir.

I'm coming.

You are drunk, sir.

Careful.

Let me kiss...

Sir,

let me help you go back to your room for a rest.

OK,

let's go.

Don't be scared,

it's me.

Mr. Herbal Lord.

Don't watch anything contrary to propriety, you don't know that?

Stop watching that at the door.

The two of them are really doing weird things.

Let's go.

Why do you keep staring at me?

I can't believe

you've learned how to tail after me.

I didn't tail after you.

Stop lying.

Tell me,

why did you tail after me?

Because you came here secretly

to enjoy yourself.

At the gate,

I saw a girl almost lie on your body.

I hate other girls being so close to you.

In that case, you...

you...

Why do I feel

you are

being jealous?

Nonsense.

What are you doing?

Since both of us are in Spring Beauty House,

how about...

What do you want?

How about...

we do something to encourage each other,

just like what others do here.

No.

Mr. Herbal Lord,

I should be responsible for what happened today.

I was too impulsive and reckless.

Really?

It's Xiaoyan, I'd like to meet Mr. Herbal Lord.

What brings her here?

You came here to meet her today?

Yes.

She sent me that letter

which said she wanted to discuss something with me.

So this is it?

Or what do you think?

Mr. Herbal Lord?

Come in.

What a nuisance.

Greetings, Mr. Herbal Lord,

Miss Jiang.

Please be seated.

Take it easy.

You are getting on well with each other,

Mr. Herbal Lord, Miss Jiang.

Let's get down to business.

I've heard that you are going to have a duel

with Yuwen Ling three days later.

I earnestly request you

not to hurt my lover.

You lover is Yuwen Ling?

Of course not,

he's the person I hated most.

But why?

Yuwen Ling has controlled my lover Long Bai

with his puppet sorcery

and absorbed his spirit for practice.

If Yuwen Ling has the duel with you,

he will definitely protect himself with Long Bai's body.

Whoever wins or loses by then,

Long Bai is going to be the most wounded one for sure.

How pathetic!

Get up and be seated.

Is there any way to crack the sorcery?

I heard there's a kind of medicinal herb

named Illuminant Vine of Longevity.

It can be ground into power,

which can crack the sorcery

and make the controlled person

recover to their senses and get rid of the control

for a short moment.

However, this herb is very rare,

and I haven’t found a trace of it after searching for years.

Whether it will work is still unknown.

The Illuminant Vine of Longevity?

I always heard about it in the past,

but I've never seen it.

However,

there are many medicinal herbs in Herbal Lord Valley.

Maybe it can be found there.

I just saw it in an ancient medical book.

Mr. Herbal Lord,

Yuwen Ling just has an empty shell.

As he's been practicing sorcery in crooked ways,

he has suffered great backfire on himself.

If Long Bai can get rid of his control,

he will lose this duel for sure.

I feel sorry for Xiaoyan's lover.

He is not only controlled by Yuwen Ling,

but also has to be separated from his beloved one.

I feel really sad

as soon as I think of being separated from you.

I won't make you sad.

Well, could you help them?

Yes.

But it's a little difficult.

You want me to help her?

If the Illuminant Vine of Longevity does work,

we don't need to be afraid of Yuwen Ling.

I'm not afraid of Yuwen Ling.

But I am.

I'm afraid they might hurt you.

You are just afraid that he might hurt me,

but you aren't afraid that I’ll go out to enjoy myself?

Don't come here alone next time.

You must take me with you.

You...

What took you so long?

I've been expecting you.

You didn't cause any trouble these days,

did you?

No.

I need to show respect to you, High Priest.

However, I'm quite bored because you forbid me

from capturing people for practice as I wish.

This is for you.

Spirit Pill again?

It is less tasty

than a living person.

I've tried to use Jiang Qingyun

to provoke Chu Zhimo as you ordered.

Unexpectedly, however, he's taken the bait

and asked me to have a duel three days later.

I can't believe

that Chu Zhimo is an affectionate guy.

As long as you can kill Chu Zhimo

in the duel,

you will be able to practice your sorcery

with his blood.

As the Herbal Lord

has abundant medicinal energy in his body,

you will be able to boost

your spiritual power greatly

if you nourish yourself with his blood.

I need not only Chu Zhimo,

but also Jiang Qingyun.

Jiang Qinyun

is not so easy to deal with as you expected.

You should be careful with her.

Don't worry,

my cypress cane

is powerful as well.

With this,

Chu Zhimo, that invalid guy,

cannot beat me at all.

[Jiang Residence]

This is an illustrated guide to the Illuminant Vine of Longevity.

I've never seen

this kind of herb, either.

The records in ancient medical books

are not consistent

and it’s difficult to verify them.

However,

I took all of them out,

and I wonder if they can help.

It's very kind of you, Mr. Jiang.

Since you are willing

to search for this herb with me in Herbal Lord Valley,

you've done me a great favor.

However,

this trip is crisis-ridden,

so it's really unnecessary for you to visit there in person.

In case of any danger...

Though you are the Herbal Lord,

you might be less familiar with Herbal Lord Valley than I am.

By then, if someone has to be a drag on the search,

it might not necessarily be me.

But I'm still worried about you.

Don't worry, Mr. Herbal Lord.

Helping you is not my only purpose.

As I have only one daughter, Qingyun,

I don't want her to get married far away in Red Flame Tribe.

This is

what I will never allow to happen.

Chu Zhimo,

as an elder,

I have a question to ask you.

I know what you want to ask me.

I'm sincere

to Qingyun,

and I'll do my best

to take care of her.

I feel quite relieved

hearing what you said.

Dad!

Dad,

please don't leave me alone at home, OK?

Take me with you.

I want to visit Herbal Lord Valley with you too.

Don't worry,

I won't cause any trouble.

Just take me with you, Dad.

My dear daughter,

it'll be so laborious on this trip

to search for the herb.

I can't bear to make you suffer this.

You just need to

stay at home and wait

until I'm back.

Dad...

Do as I said, Qingyun.

Mr. Herbal Lord,

take me with you, OK?

I'm quite helpful.

I can help you search for the herb.

Just stay in the city and wait for me,

will you?

A grown daughter cannot be kept single for long.

Be careful, my lord.

Don't worry,

I will definitely be back

from this trip

before the duel with Yuwen Ling,

and I won't let him take you away.

But I just want to

keep company with you.

Take me with you.

Maybe I'll be much more helpful

than that illustrated guide.

We are going to search for the herb,

not for an outing.

The trip to deep mountains and forests

is dangerous.

I'm not afraid of that.

But I might be worried about you.

Just stay here and wait for me,

will you?

What if I miss you?

While you are missing me,

I might be doing so too.

She's grown up,

and she needs a man to care about her.

Wait a second!

Wait a second!

Wait a second!

What brings you here?

What do you mean

by "what brings you here"?

So you are not going to

take me with you on the trip, are you?

Of course not.

Mr. Jiang and I are going to visit Herbal Lord Valley to search for the herb,

while you should just take care of Qingyun at home

in case Yuwen Ling comes here to make trouble

while I'm away.

Moreover,

precautions should be taken against Xiao Rui,

so please pay more attention to him these days.

Well,

Mr. Herbal Lord,

I'm a doctor,

and I'm not good at

shadowing somebody or things like that.

I'm only fit

to go collecting herbs with you.

Master!

Please speak for me, Master!

Just listen to Mr. Herbal Lord.

Take good care of Qingyun at home.

If you dare misguide my dear daughter,

I’ll have you copy the medical books many times as punishment.

Master!

I'm leaving.

Don't be frustrated, Yiran.

Look,

I'm here to accompany you.

Don't worry,

I won't cause any trouble these days.

Thank you.

All right,

don't be frustrated.

Let's go out for a walk.

Qingyun,

why did they leave us aside?

How could they leave us aside?

Tell me!

-Stop complaining about this, Yiran. -Cuties!

It's good that we don't go on that trip.

At least we won't have to suffer the hardships.

Since both of us are living our lives,

happiness is the most important thing in our lives.

Do you think so,

Yiran?

Yiran?

Yiran?

You are just a little weak.

if you are weak, your circulation of qi and blood will not be smooth.

Look at her,

her face glows with health.

Well,

I'll give you a prescription,

and you can visit my clinic to meet me.

OK.

Qingyun.

Mr. Xiao.

I went to the Jiang’s Mansion to meet you,

but there was no one in the mansion.

I didn't expect I’d meet you here.

My dad and Mr. Herbal Lord are on the way to Herbal Lord Valley,

so I'm the only one left at home,

and you could only find an empty mansion there.

Why are they going to Herbal Lord Valley?

Nothing.

By the way, Mr. Xiao,

what can I do for you?

I do need your help,

However, since it’s noisy here in the street,

you'd better get in the carriage,

Qingyun.

OK.

Let me help you.

Come on.

Slowly.

Come on.

What's this smell?

What's up,

Qingyun?

Anything wrong?

No.

What's wrong with you, Qingyun?

Nothing,

I just feel a little dizzy.

Qingyun,

Qingyun!

Don't fall asleep, Qingyun.

Qingyun, are you all right?

Wake up, Qingyun.

Qingyun!

Ziming.

What did you call me?

Ziming,

where are we?

Qingyun,

is that you?

It's me, of course.

Who else could I be?

Well,

do you remember what we did before?

Remember what we agreed about

by the lake?

I do.

You promised me

that you would buy me

all of the most beautiful bracelets in the whole Daxing City

if I beat you in stone skipping.

I'm telling you,

I practiced it secretly.

I'm sure I can beat you now.

Qingyun,

it's really you.

Qingyun,

I miss you so much.

I miss you too, Ziming.

What's wrong with you?

Recently I've always been feeling dizzy

as if I didn't have enough sleep.

Moreover, I seem to be in bad health.

I wonder

why I always have this feeling of fatigue.

Well,

let's go to the pharmacy

and buy some herbs

to build up your health.

Don't worry about me, Ziming.

I'm fine.

Maybe I've been too tired

and haven’t had enough rest.

I'll be fine if I have enough rest.

You feel sleepy again?

Oh, no,

I do feel sleepy again.

I want to sleep a little longer.

Don't sleep now.

Just a while.

Wake up, Qingyun, OK?

Listen to me, good girl.

Listen to me.

Qingyun.

Wake up, Qingyun.

Qingyun.

Qingyun.

Mr. Xiao!

Why do you hold me in your arms?

Miss Jiang, you suddenly fell asleep.

Now that you are in good condition,

let me bring you back home.

It was you who came to visit me

and said you needed to discuss about something with me,

but what on earth is it?

Nothing,

let’s discuss about it next time.

See you, Miss Jiang.

Let's go.

I...

You...

This is so weird.

Why did you react so dramatically?

You scared me.

You scared me, too!

Stop complaining.

Tell me honestly

where you went just now.

I looked for you for a long time but couldn’t find you.

Mr. Xiao called me away.

Mr. Xiao?

Is it Xiao Ziming?

You were busy checking those beauties' pulses,

but I didn't have the heart to bother you.

A doctor should have a benevolent heart.

Saving people's lives does matter.

But why did Xiao Ziming call you away?

I don't know either.

He said he wanted to discuss something with me,

but he said nothing at all.

Well,

what else did he say?

I wonder what he's up to.

I'm too sleepy.

Looks like I didn't sleep well last night.

Well,

I have to go back home and have some more sleep.

This way.

The time has come.

He's here.

Everything is as you expected, Master.

I earnestly request you

to save Qingyun, High Priest.

Mr. Xiao,

do you believe in

everything I said now?

Yes, I do.

Life or death is destined.

Have you considered the consequences

of fighting against the destiny?

As long as I can save Qingyun,

I'll risk my life

doing anything.

My lady,

what has kept Mr. Herbal Lord so long?

Maybe

he won't come back, will he?

He will be back.

Since he promised me,

he's sure to come back.

I'll be waiting for him here.

OK,

I'll be waiting for him with you.

He,

what time is it now?

It's almost noon,

my lord.

Since the Herbal Lord hasn't been here so far,

he looks down upon the Red Flame Tribe, doesn't he?

I'm sorry, sir.

Something must have detained him.

Lord Chu,

it's getting late.

What took Mr. Herbal Lord so long?

That's not appropriate, right?

Things went like this

while I was away for several days.

This is my fault.

Don’t say that, Mr. Xiao.

Of course we know

you've been friendly with His Highness.

However,

we need an explanation about this.

Is the Herbal Lord too scared

to come for the duel?

My uncle never chickens out.

We'd better keep waiting.

OK,

let's keep waiting

as Lord Chu said.

Anyway I have plenty of time

for Miss Jiang.

Miss Jiang,

I don't think Chu Zhimo would come here.

How about you

go back to Red Flame Tribe with me now?

My tribe is as competent as Daxing City.

I can give you

whatever you want.

Don't worry, Miss Jiang.

Anyway, we have lots of time

to get familiar with each other in the future.

You'd better

go with me obediently.

You are finally back, Mr. Herbal Lord!

Walk slowly,

Master!

Master?

How fast she escaped!

She disappeared in such a short moment.

Why didn't she go meet Lord Chu with me?

Master,

that's enough, don't be annoyed.

You know, Qingyun is expecting you in the hall.

How could she take you into consideration

once she got lovesickness?

At this crucial moment,

I'm the most reliable guy

as your close disciple.

Do you think so,

Xiaoyan?

What are you doing?

Flirting again?

All right,

anyway, I can do whatever I want

later in the duel.

Right, cutie?

Lord Chu,

I'm sorry for being late

because I was held up by something.

Now that you are here,

it's time to start the duel.

Exactly,

the duel should be started immediately.

Uncle,

how are you doing?

I'm fine.

I can manage

to deal with Yuwen Ling.

All right,

let's go.

You make me dizzy.

I wonder if you are injured.

Don't worry,

I'm pretty fine.

But you look very tired.

You have to duel with Yuwen Ling

as soon as you are back.

That's not fair to you.

Now that you are so worried about me,

give me a little power,

the encouragement of love.

Then I will transmit my spiritual power to you now.

You absorbed my medicinal energy secretly again.

How stingy you are!

If I win the duel,

I'll return three times the energy to you.

Well?

You don't think that's enough?

How much energy do you want to absorb?

Enough, I won't argue with you.

Wait for me here.

That Yuwen Ling dared to do harm to you,

so I'll give him a hard time.

By the way,

you should be careful with the cane in his hand.

The cane?

I guess that Long Bai

might be sealed in it.
