[theme music]
(male narrator) Long, long ago, deep in the forest
there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived.
They call themselves Smurfs.
They were good.
[theme music]
Then there was Gargamel, the evil wizard.
He was bad.
Oh, I hate Smurfs.
I'll get you, I'll get all of you
if it's the last thing I ever do!
[evil laughter]
Unh!
Oh, I'll get you.
I'll find your village someday. You'll be sorry!
(male narrator) Well, the forest is still there
and if you listen, you may hear Gargamel's rage.
And if you are good, you may just
catch a glimpse of the Smurfs.
[theme music]
(Papa Smurf) Alright, Smurfs, heave.
[all grunting]
I hate heaving.
- Here, hold my toolbox, Clumsy. - Oh, uh, sure, Brainy.
(Hefty) Whoa!
(Grouchy) Whoa! Help! Stop!
(Lazy) Help! Stop!
[Papa Smurf groaning]
Yeow!
Oh! Oh, my foot.
[groans]
I need my snowflower pollen to reduce the swelling. Ohh.
But it's back in my lab.
Don't worry, Papa Smurf. I'll get it for you.
Clumsy, this was all your fault.
So, you better get that snowflower pollen right away
or Papa Smurf may never forgive you.
Oh, golly.
Uh, here I come, Papa Smurf. As fast as I--
I'll take it from here, Clumsy.
- Huh? - I've got it, Papa Smurf.
Uh, but, Brainy, that's no fair. I..
- Whoops! - Whoa!
I've got it.
[all yelling]
Ugh! And I've had it!
[chuckles] Don't worry, Papa Smurf.
I'll get you plenty more snowflower pollen.
[sighs] But there's only one snowflower in the entire world.
And it only blooms once a year.
In fact, it should be blooming now.
Just tell me where it is and I'll go get it.
I'm glad you feel that way, Brainy.
Because the snowflower I need
grows at the top of Ice Mountain.
(Smurfs) 'Ice Mountain?'
Now remember, Smurfs, you mustn't pick the snowflower.
Just bring back the pollen.
That way, the flower can continue to bloom each year.
(Hefty) 'Right, Papa Smurf. Forward ho!'
- Goodbye. - Bye-bye.
- 'Bye, Papa Smurf.' - 'Bye.'
Bon voyage. Your bravery will not be for..
Oh!
(Brainy) Hefty, I'm thirsty and, uh, and, uh
I-I forgot to go to the bathroom.
And, um, I didn't make my bed, so can I go back?
(Hefty) Will you relax, Brainy?
There's nothing to worry about. Nothing at all.
[dramatic music]
[growls]
Hefty, I have a funny feeling we're being watched.
Watched? Ha-ha-ha! Aw, come on, Smurfette.
All of a sudden, this place is giving me the creeps too.
Let's just find that snowflower pollen and get out of here.
Ooh, look. There it is.
'Isn't it beautiful?'
(Jokey) Last one to the snowflower is a frozen Smurf.
[Jokey laughs]
(Jokey) Hey, where'd this big hole come from?
(Hefty) I don't know.
(Brainy) And I don't think we want to f-find out.
Oh. Let's just get that pollen and head for home.
Okay, easy there. Careful.
[grunts] I can't go any higher.
I'm the lightest Smurf here.
Try lifting me up.
This is risky, Smurfette. Maybe you better not.
No, no. I'm fine.
[cracking]
[screaming]
[Smurfette screams]
Smurfette!
(all) Whoa!
[screams]
What-what happened?
[gasps]
[cooing]
Our Smurfette's gone.
[sobs]
We'll never forget you, Smurfette.
[all crying]
The least we can do is honor Smurfette's final wish
and deliver this to Papa Smurf.
(Smurfs) 'Yeah. That's right.'
[all grunting]
(all) Whoa!
It's no use. We're trapped.
Trapped? Oh, I knew it. I knew it.
Papa Smurf!
Keep calm, everybody.
Now, we have to let Papa Smurf know we're in trouble.
Uh, maybe we can send smoke signals.
[groans]
I wonder what's keeping those smurfs.
They should've been back long ago.
- Would you stop that? - Uh, sorry, Papa Smurf.
Papa Smurf, look.
(Papa Smurf) Smurf smoke signals from Ice Mountain.
My Smurfs need me. Quickly, bring a sled.
[dramatic music]
(Smurfette) Please, put me down. Please.
[snowbeast babbling]
[chuckles]
Please. Please, don't keep me here.
I just want to go back to my friends.
[groans]
Unh-unh.
[mumbles] Smurfette stays with me.
Look, I don't belong to you and I don't belong here.
Now let me go.
[crying]
Aw, don't cry.
I appreciate your gift.
It's just that I'm..
[sneezes]
...freezing in here.
[grunting]
T-t-thank you, b-but I'm starving too.
[sneezes]
[mumbles] Dinner is served.
Mm.
Oh, but I need more than just an icicle.
Hm.
[mumbles] I know.
A-a-achoo!
- Huh? - Oh, boo!
If only Papa Smurf were here.
Oh, if only Papa Smurf were here.
[Clumsy sniffles]
[sobbing] And Smurfette.
[all gasp]
[all screaming]
Run, Smurfs, run!
- We're running. We're running. - We're running. We're running.
[groaning]
[snowbeast screams]
[yelping]
Now he's really mad.
And we're really cornered.
Our only hope is to make a stand.
Come on, Smurfs, let him have it.
(Clumsy) Go away!
[all yelling]
[grunting]
Let me out of here.
[all clamoring]
(Papa Smurf) Good work, Smurfs. We're almost there.
'Stop. This is the place where the snowflower'
used to grow, but it's gone.
(Dreamy) And so are the other smurfs.
From the look of things, there was a snow slide here
and all our dear little Smurfs were swept away.
Poor Greedy.
We've heard his stomach growl for the last time.
And Clumsy will never be able to drop a log on my good foot.
[sobs]
[all crying]
(Smurfs) 'Help! Help!'
- Our beloved smurfs. - 'Help! Help!'
- 'Help! Help!' - They're alive.
[snowbeast growling]
(Smurfette) Help!
(all) Smurfette.
(Smurfette) 'Help!'
(all) She's alive.
[grunting]
- Papa Smurf. - Are we glad to see you.
Here, we got the snowflower for you.
Excellent! Now, let's follow that beast to Smurfette.
- I'll treat my foot on the way. - 'Help!'
Oh, help! Somebody help!
[spider hissing]
[snowbeast grunting]
[mumbles] That's my Smurf.
Oh, thank you, snowbeast.
That's the second time you've saved my life.
Oh, what happened to your poor foot?
[mumbling]
There he is. Smurfette must be inside.
(Hefty) Don't worry, we've got him now.
[growling]
(Smurfs) Whoa!
[chuckles]
Huh?
Charge.
Uh-oh.
[yells]
[snowbeast grunting]
(Smurfette) 'Wait. Where are you taking me?'
(Vanity) Come back, you coward.
- Yeah. - Come back here!
[whimpering]
(Jokey) We've got him cornered.
(Smurfs) Yeah.
(Harmony) Give us Smurfette.
(Jokey) Yeah, give us Smurfette.
[crying]
All of you, stop. You're scaring him.
(all) Huh?
This poor snowbeast isn't evil.
He's just lonely and wants me to stay here.
Snowbeast, we don't mean you any harm.
This snowflower pollen will heal your sore foot.
[sighs]
[chuckles]
You see, snowflowers can only exist in ice and snow
and Smurfette can only live in the warm climate
of the Smurf Village.
'Like the snowflower, there is only one Smurfette'
in all the world.
And now, the snowflower is no more.
[grunts excitedly]
[all gasp]
(all) Snowflowers. Ooh! Aah!
[snowbeast babbling]
(Papa Smurf) 'Remember, take only what we need.'
Thank you for sharing your snowflowers with us.
May we return next year when they bloom again?
Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh.
That means we'll see each other every year too.
[kisses]
[giggles]
(Smurfs) Goodbye. See you next year.
(Smurfette) Bye.
[babbling]
Today, we honor those beloved Smurfs
who risked their lives seeking the snowflower.
We're so glad you're home.
[all cheering]
Ah, and I thought you'd be dead.
Nope. Just out of food.
- Have some more cake? - More sarsaparilla?
[Greedy mumbling]
Don't mind if I do.
Got a surprise for you, Papa Smurf.
[explosion]
[laughing]
[sighs] Yes, in spite of everything
it's good to have things back to normal.
[all laughing]
[theme music]
