Chad: When I was young,
the only thing I thought

I'd ever make would be
the court report.

I was a bad boy.

I've been fired at every job
I ever worked in.

A friend of mine
named me the green goblin

because I would sell
a lot of things,

and green moonshine
was one of them.

If you didn't break
your fist off a bottle,

you wasn't drinking
the right stuff.

So when I opened my garage,

I called it
green goblin customs.

My shop is self-made.

I shingled it. I sided it.

I framed it.

We build dream cars here.

I'm just using what I got
and making it work.

Last year, it was kind of a blur

because I didn't know
what I was getting into,

but after we were all done,
I didn't need anybody to say

that we did a good job
because I knew that we all did.

I'm growing.

I have changed
from being the green goblin.

So I decided to give my shop
a new name,

hiltz auto co.

We have something
to show the world,

and that's what
we're going to do.

When I was working on my own,

I would finish probably one
to three cars a year.

Last year, working as a team,
we did five cars,

six months of hard work.

This season,
I've got seven builds booked.

It's a big commitment.

I'm going to try
to step it up this year.

I don't know how we're
going to get it done,

but I want to go for it.

We're growing as a business.

Jolene: We live in a very
small town here,

so it's a great opportunity
for our shop

to take on all these clients.

With every build
that we're putting out,

we're establishing a reputation
for hiltz auto co.

So we want to expand the brand.

We want to, you know,
be known worldwide.

Been a long winter,
I can tell you that.

It's nice to get about, get out,
and get the car out, huh?

Out and about.

We've promised all the clients
we'd get these builds done

by the end of the year.

So we have just over six months
to take on seven builds,

and that's a lot faster
than we've ever done before.

Jamie runs a car dealership,

and when I first met him,
I had a car in mind

that I wanted to build
called the green goblin.

It was in my brain.
I wanted to build it.

I went into his dealership,
and I had the balls

and the intensity
and the audacity

to ask him
if he would support me

in buying me
some cadillac parts.

And he said yes.

and his mother.

He lived four hours away,
and now we get him on summers.

School has given him
some knowledge.

through experience.

I took on seven
builds this year.

a little bit of anxiety

because I told these people,
like, there's certain dates

that things have to be done.

They're going to come to us
and expect us to do something.

They're paying us,
so we're going to do

the best job we can,
I hope.

The first one
is a '57 cadillac.

So we're going to shorten it
and make a roadster out of it.

Can we paint it pink?

22-inch chrome blades?

Put some spinners on it with

I want to take the roof off it
for starters.

I do not want to damage
the back window

because I want to put
the back window in the front.

The car is going to be
cut in half.

this back wheel

and move it up like this.

it's in however many pieces.

So it's kind of scary.

And if we could not be perfect
on everything,

feel good about themselves?

we can't really afford that,

especially with the first build.

and see some type of vision

When I bought this property,

the grass was probably
four feet high,

was probably 300 or 400
pallets on the property.

Didn't matter to me.

It was a place
to lay my head down

and a place to start my dream.

I would draw little pictures of
what I wanted it to look like.

The driveway had
a round spot there,

and it just seemed like
it would be nice

to plonk a bunch of signs up

so you could drive around
and see all the signs.

My garage, it takes you
back in time, you know?

As you look at it, you think
it's been here 100 years,

but it hasn't.

I just had a vision
for what I wanted.

I built it this way,
and I built it for me.

He has a vision of his own
that he sees.

You're never quite sure what
you're going to get in the end.

The mind of him is genius to be
able to just look at something

and create
anything out of metal.

Chad: The look of the car,
I would call it classy,

kind of a futuristic color,
like, you know what I mean?

The shimmery blue, the sky,
and what could be,

and that little red

just to make sure
that people pay attention.

The car speaks for itself.

It's special.
It's one of a kind.

It's an imagination.
