in "AGT" history.

here's Shin Lim.

is that just before him, we had some awful magician

doing yet another card trick.

Like I haven't seen that before.

It's the incredible story of a young boy

who survived cancer

and whose first audition in 2019 went viral.

He's had over 149 million views.

He's made the top ten at number ten.

It's Tyler Butler‐Figueroa.

‐ I think at number ten was special for everyone.

‐ Hi. ‐ What's your name?

‐ My name is Tyler. ‐ How old are you, Tyler?

‐ I'm 11 years old.

‐ And what made you get into playing violin?

‐ I wanted to start playing the violin

because I was being bullied at school.

‐ Aw. ‐ Because I had cancer,

and I almost died.

‐ This beautiful, young survivor of cancer

to come with this violin, I think everybody felt‐‐

felt something special for him.

‐ You cannot imagine

being a parent in that situation.

Then you see what he's gone through,

coming on, tiny little thing, onto the stage.

He's shy, and then, bang.

myself and his family.

And I don't use this term lightly

when I say inspirational.

He really, really is.

So I'm not in the slightest bit surprised

to hear that he's got so many hits.

‐ Simon was mighty quick to give Tyler the Golden Buzzer,

but we all know impressing him ain't easy,

even though that's the one goal so many acts have

when they walk on stage.

‐ When Simon smiles,

the world stops. ‐ Doesn't it?

‐ So many acts are in love with Simon Cowell.

‐ Gonna meet...

‐ People all think he's mean, but he's not.

I think he's honest.

‐ Your problem is that you don't take risks.

‐ I think people like to hear his honest opinion

because he personally has made so many stars.

begin with an audition.

And we always say it, but it's true,

we never know what's gonna happen

when an act walks out on stage.

We have no idea.

This group, I live my life for them.
