Who Are You?

Episode 7

Hey.

Hey. Hey!

Hey you.

Officer Yang Si On, tell me.

The night of July 20, 2007,

what happened there?

How many times have I told you that I don't remember?

Then I will ask you again.

Why did you go there?

I told you that I don't know

why I was found there.

You know this person, right?

You know this person, right?

You...

Sunbae. - Hmm?

You didn't find anything?!

The investigation team said it's going to take some time.

For him to hide out in the cabin, attack her, then drag her to the river...

Doesn't that mean he knew Team Leader Yang was going to be there?

I guess so, if Team Leader Yang was really his target.

But do you think someone would have so much of a grudge against Team Leader Yang?

Anyway, we're searching whether similar incidents have occurred...

near the cabin or the hiking trail.

We don't know if it's just a burglary or an accident.

A police officer, one of us has gotten injured...

Why is the investigation so lacking?

There has to be evidence.

Our investigation is solely based on Team Leader Yang's statement.

Isn't there CCTV in that area?

Crazy jerk. Why would there be CCTV in the woods?

You're acting strange.

What?

Why are you always so aggressive when it comes to Team Leader Yang?

Me?

Then is it me?

When did I?

That's nonsense.

Does Team Leader Yang know you haven't gone to work yet?

I'm late.

I'm going!

Keep me up to date on the investigation. I'm going!

Why don't you get an investigation room?

Come in.

I heard about the accident.

What happened?

Are you hurt anywhere?

No. You know I'm naturally strong.

You don't have to pretend to be strong.

If it's tiring, rest for a couple days.

I'm really ok.

But Chief,

I have a favor to ask of you.

A favor?

June 20, 2007,

the Incheon case,

let me see the file, please.

You know that...

those case files...

are inaccessible without the prosecutor's permission.

I know that.

But Chief,

can you at least tell me who died during that incident?

Si On.

Why are you asking about that incident now?

That case took away six years of my life.

Not remembering anything about it

is frustrating.

You know how much I look after you...

but this is out of my hands.

I see.

I'm sorry to have caused you any trouble.

What can it be?

Oh Reum

Yeon Hee

Even Detective Cha's father...

What could it be? It seems unlikely...

that something from six years ago will be here.

Yeah, Seong Chan.

Please make me a list of items

that were either found in Incheon, or have any ties to the wharf.

Alright.

Park Yoon.

Kang Woo Chul.

Jo Hyeon Tak.

Aren't you being too laid-back about coming to work?

I made a stop at the investigation squad.

I know your heart is still with the investigation squad, but don't forget you're part of the Lost and Found department.

I know.

Team Leader,

is anything going on?

Nope.

All right, Cha Geon Woo, just worry about your performance reviews.

Hello.

How have you been?

Who... are you?

I came to see you last spring...

regarding Kang Woo Cheol Sunbaenim.

Ah, right!

Hmm... but then...

Why are you so eager to find him?

I have something to ask him about the incident that happened six years ago.

He was the first to arrive at the scene that day.

Oh my...

Look at this ghost.

He can speak.

So, ah...

8639?

You want me to give this plate number to Police Officer Yang Si On?

This year's horoscope did say a special guest was coming...

A ghost is really sitting in front of me.

Should I continue with what I was saying?

I...

Why do I have to do this?

The only person who can hear me

is you.

That's your circumstances, handsome Oppa.

I only hang out with people who are alive.

That's how my business works.

Please pass it on to Officer Yang Si On.

There's a balance between the worlds of the living and the dead...

I shouldn't disrupt it without good reason.

For me to pass on such important information,

there is a price to pay.

Oppa,

what will you do for me?

Detective Cha...

Do you believe in beings that you cannot see?

What?

Let's just assume they exist...

if a girl could communicate with them...

It's nothing.

What's with that guy?

Did Team Leader Yang tell him?

How did he know?

Ah, so that's it?

It's been six years.

So you want to find the memories you've lost?

Yes.

But

it will be hard to meet Woo Cheol.

He didn't even come to a really close friend's funeral.

If you...

hear anything...

please make sure to contact me.

Yes.

Goodbye.

Woo Cheol!

She left.

Why is it

that a young detective keeps on looking for you?

If I could tell you that,

I wouldn't be living in hiding as if I were a dead man.

I'm sorry to say this, but

please just pretend you don't know.

You see,

this is for the best for everyone.

So, even if you're a ghost,

even if it's in this world or that world, nothing is free.

Oppa, you are very lucky.

I haven't told you this, but I actually know

Yang Si On unnie.

Oh! Unnie!

It's that unnie, right?

What...?

You come here a lot, eh?

Did you come to see Seong Chan?

No, I came here today to see you.

Me?

I said I came here to see you.

Do you have some time?

A little...

Just come with me.

Let's go.

Hey,

where did everyone go?

Hey.

Im Seong Chan.

Im Seong Chan!

Yes?

You...

See me for a bit.

Come out.

Sit down.

Hey.

What was that earlier?

A woman who can see spiritual beings?

How did you know?

I...

There's a hottie that I met at a club.

Club?

She's really a woman that is close to my ideal type.

A shaman?

A fortune teller.

OH... (I thought you meant you knew about...)

Hey, dude.

Who cares what she is?

Don't judge a book by its cover.

You don't even know what kind of circumstances she has.

I'm going.

What's that?

It doesn't match him. Why is he speaking so maturely?

Uhm... I want

romantic choco.

Please give me the romantic choco flavor.

This is really good to relieve stress.

You try it too, Unnie.

Forget it.

Eiii...

Trust me and try it just once.

Think about a person you don't like. Here you go.

You see...

This plate number...

Please find the owner for me.

Do fortune tellers do background checks on people?

That car was part of a hit and run.

The billboard in front of my house,

the car crashed into it and ran.

You should go to your local police, not my department.

I can't - they'll make me pay a fine.

It's in the front gate, not even in my yard.

So please look it up for me.

I can't use my position to do personal favors.

I'm going back.

Unnie! Unnie!

That billboard

costs 300,000 won.

I really need to receive that money.

I will put my trust in you, Unnie.

See you.

Hey, you –

Ahhh, really.

What's taking so long?

Oh, hey, hey, hey!

Did you bring it?

Do you know how many times you've asked me for traffic feeds since you've moved to your new department?

Besides, it's in HongCheon.

Ahh, thank you.

I'll buy you a drink sometime.

You only say that.

I'm going.

Go.

Where are you going?

I will meet that friend.

I thought you wanted to bury the past. Why did you change your mind?

I don't think I can live long in this state.

So for the days I have left,

even if it's just in my heart, I want to feel relieved.

Aigoo.

What are you going to do?

I'm going to tell that officer everything.

What I saw that night...

and everything that I know.

This is Yang Si On.

What?

Where?

Yes, I understand. I'll go right now.

Yes.

Thanks for giving me a ride.

What kept you busy all day?

Hm?

You were out of the office during the day...

and now you're going off to a strange place instead of going home.

I'm...

Yes, Sunbaenim.

I'm arriving as I speak. Where are you?

Stay there. I'll go to you.

Yes, I understand.

Drop me off in front of here.

No!!!

There was a hit and run at the Ilsan intersection.

The plate number is 57DA 8639.

Please send emergency response. - Oh, please... oh, please..

Please, please wake up.

I'm so sorry.

Please come to your senses, Sunbaenim! I'm sorry!

What should I do? What should I do, Sunbaenim?

Aigoo, Sunbaenim...

Will he be okay?

We've taken care of the emergent situation,

but we need some time to tell if he will be alright.

Thank you.

You've worked hard today.

Team Leader.

That person,

who is he?

At the scene of the incident six years ago,

he was the first police officer to arrive there.

Were you investigating that incident all by yourself?

Do you not have any fears?

Blood...

Huh?

There's blood on your face.

Ahhh... be easy on the wounds.

I didn't even touch the wound yet!

Why are you exaggerating?

I'm not exaggerating.

You didn't know you were hurt until you saw blood.

It didn't hurt when I didn't know I was hurt, but now that I know I'm hurt, it hurts.

Shut up!

You're being fussy. Sit still.

Ahhh. Ahhh. Ahhh. - Come on, it doesn't hurt.

Sit still.

Done! It's all done.

By the way, why is your home so outdated?

That's because nothing has changed for six years.

It'll make you feel better if you change up some stuff.

You should change your door lock, too.

It's just that...

I need to see familiar things to feel calm.

I also think that...

they will help me remember the past.

You.

Team Leader!

Why are you acting like this?

Take your hands off of me! A person died because of me.

It wasn't you who killed him.

Let me go!

If only had I left that case alone...

that case was already closed...

Why did I focus so much on piecing together my memory?

Because of me...

You guys are late together~

Ah! Team Leader!

Someone asked me to give you something.

I put it on your desk.

Who?

I don't really know.

Seung Ha received it but he's in the storage room right now.

I'll be back.

Team Leader.

How did you know this?

What?

It's that guy's car from yesterday.

This is that car's number?

On the day of the workshop, I looked at all the cameras in the area

and this was what came up.

That night, 8:45pm, it was caught on camera.

Did you check the vehicle registration?

It is an unregistered car.

What kind of jerks are trying to get you?

I'm gonna go out for a moment.

Where are you going? I'll go with you.

No, I'll go on my own.

Can't you see I'm worried?

What's with this car?

The hit and run one?

Ah, did you find the owner?

This car!

Where did you see it?

I told you.

They hit my sign and ran away.

The jerk with this car...

Yah.

Are you sure there was a hit and run?

Unni, did you live getting lied to your whole life?

Do I look like someone that would lie to a police officer?

If this car shows up again, make sure you call me.

Okay?

What are you?

What's so special about that car that she's like that?

I should've known when a ghost was hanging around the police station.

What is it? You knew this would happen right?

Look here, good looking Oppa.

What is your relationship with Yang Si On Unnie?

Do you by chance have some kind of resentment towards her?

She's the woman I love.

What?

The person I love.

Is it true?

Yes, it's true.

You have no doubt?

For real.

Geez, who's going after Team Leader Yang.

If I knew, I would have already gone after them.

Have you put out a search warrant for the vehicle?

There hasn't been a call.

It was an unregistered car... and he must have switched cars by now, right?

But who's the retired cop that died?

They said he was the first detective to arrive at the accident 6 years ago.

Sunbae.

Can't you look into it for me?

Team Leader Yang is having a tough time because she can't remember.

That's a special case, I can't look in it either.

There's something fishy about that case.

It's been kept so secretive and hidden.

Sunbae, I'll be going.

Who Are You?

Team Leader!

It's me, Cha Geon Woo.

What is this?

Can't you tell? It's a CCTV.

Exactly, so why is it here?

The security in this house is not just normally bad.

How bad do you think it is that I would install a CCTV here?

Sergeant Cha.

What?

Thanks for worrying about me, but this is my business.

I'll deal with my problems on my own.

Team Leader.

You almost died twice.

In the woods, the road, if I weren't there-

I know.

I'm really thankful for that.

The jerks who are targeting you are not just threatening you, they're trying to kill you.

I know that too.

Kang Woo Chul Sunbaenim died because of me.

This is my problem.

I don't want you to be in danger because of me.

I'm going to refuse that.

Team Leader.

I refuse to die, too.

That is just a CCTV, like the ones they have in a convenience store.

Just check it every night when you come home

and if there's something weird, then check the monitor.

I'll be leaving.

Bye.

"Thank you Cha Geon Woo."

Is it that hard to say?

Team Leader!

Are you okay?

What happened?

Case Number 2007-AA1 Incheon internal corruption case.

I know.

I'll ask one more time.

If she says no, I'm going to make a firm decision.

Why isn't she coming?

You scared me!

Excuse me.

Yeah, come on in.

Sit down.

Why are you wearing sunglasses in the morning?

She got hit by her husband.

Auntie,

the worst type of man is one that uses his fist against women.

I.. Really, because of that person...

What?

He got caught cheating.

Auntie, why are you living with a guy who's using his energy elsewhere.

A man who uses his energy on a different woman,

and then slaps his wife with extra energy.

What would the kids learn from that?

That's what I'm saying.

Do you think I'm going to listen to you easily because you do this?

Oppa,

even though you love that woman,

you're already dead.

Do you think I came all this way

to have forbidden love?

This was something with Woo Chul's belongings.

I felt like I should give it to you.

Lee Hyeong Joon

Lee Hyung Joon. He was a detective?

Detective Lee Hyung Joon...

Died 6 years ago after getting shot on a boat.

I don't have access to the files, nor can I get information on his background...

I can't figure out what item he's related to either.

Detective...

Why did a detective go there that night?

Ambush.

Ambush...

On the night of July 21, 2007, two detectives were undercover carrying out an ambush,

but one body was found shot.

Inspector Lee Hyung Joon Inspector Choi Moon Shik

You...

Who Are You? ~ Preview ~

Team Leader, do you know about Lee Hyeong Joon?

Did you also know, Team Leader?

that Detective Cha Geon Woo won the shooting competition?

Were you bragging in front of the guys that you were a good shooter?

Detective Cha, what shooting competition was this?

Don't follow an old man like me around and go hang out with Team Leader Yang. Is she not at her office?
